When looking for an eye doctor in my area, I had no luck. I reached out to a couple only to not hear back, and my couple options also had pretty bad reviews. When I came across Dr. Miller, he had great reviews and I was willing to drive almost 3 hours to give him a try. Needless to say, it was worth it. I was greeted immediately upon entering the facility. Both of the young ladies I dealt with at the front desk were welcoming and kind. I was seen promptly for my appointment. The lady who did my eye tests was also very kind and engaging. Dr. Miller entered the room and I found him to be polite, attentive to my questions and very informative. I’ve definitely found a new eye doctor who is well worth the almost 6 hour round trip.

The office staff is professional and friendly. The doctor is extremely thorough, answers all of my questions without feeling rushed and he interacts with you as he is doing the examinations and I like that.

This eye doctors office is not just another walk in eye exam center. You can schedule easily, be seen promptly, thoroughly and with the utmost customer service. Everyone always has a smile on their face. The entire facility of staff members and Dr. Miller by far exceptional. Including myself and distant family members, we have 8 of us that are patients there. I highly recommend them whenever asked for an eye doctor suggestion.

Ive been going here for decades. The staff is friendly, helpful, and professional, making you feel right at home every time. The eye exam is thorough and Dr. Miller devotes much time and attention to the exam. I never feel rushed. I rely on the expertise of the staff to help with the selection of stylish eye glass frames for my very strong prescription. They know their stuff and nail it every time!

This was by far the best eye care place I have ever been to. The prices are fare and everything they told me up front on the phone was exactly what it was when I left. I had always gone to National Optometry in the mall which changed names to My Eye Doctor. The last time I was there the bill jumped up an extra $200 without telling me up front. I will from now on always go to Eye Care Center of Chesapeake. Everyone including the receptionist up front, the optician and Dr Miller were awesome. They understand people go a few days without taking out their contacts. I will refer everyone i know to them and will continue to go to Eye Care Center of Chesapeake from here on out. Dr. Miller is the best overall optometrist Ive ever worked with. He is beyond courteous and friendly, and he always goes above and beyond. In one visit, I learned more about the care of my eye sight than I have ever done in the last 15 visits to other optometrists due to his informative sessions on your eye condition. He made remarkable suggestions to improve my quality of life, which I am eternally grateful for. I am currently moving out-of-state and I plan on flying back yearly simply to get checked out by Dr. Miller.

My whole family goes to Eye Care Center of Chesapeake. We always have appointments that run on time and thorough exams. My prescriptions have been spot on and the staff is great about applying discounts and helping prep available rebates for contacts. The opticians have a good eye for styles that fit and frame the face well, and they are very patient with the decision making process. I have 3 children who go there, the staff is absolutely AMAZING!!!!! They are so kind and work with you as far as payments with getting glasses. The lady at the front desk even helped my son with his homework while I was with my youngest daughter getting her glasses. Dr Miller was awesome. The staff was friendly. The ladies that check you in and out are friendly.Ive been having problems with my eye ever since the doc took the cataract off my right eye] . I have a lens in my right eye now. So Dr. Miller looked at pictures and explain what was going on in my eye. He recommended Hampton Roads Retina Center. Dr. Miller was a joy to visit. I enjoyed talking to him, even though I have my same eye problem again. He explain it in details about my eye and what had to be done with it. Im glad I picked him while looking for eye doctored.

Doctor is great. Helped me figure out what was wrong with my eyes last year. However, this year I needed glasses and my insurance only covers contacts OR glasses. When I scheduled my appointment I told the lady that. Every person I talked to, I told I was only getting glasses and I knew that meant I wasnt getting a contact prescription. Yet they did the contact exam (I dont know which is which) and my insurance didnt cover it, so I had to pay $80 for an exam I didnt want or need. I was very clear I didnt need contacts or the prescription for them. Super bummed about that because I really liked this place otherwise.

Dr. Miller and his staff is very professional. They offer full service from the exam to the offering all styles of glasses including sun glasses. I have used their services for several years and I have never been disappointed. They are very friendly and helpful.

Very warm and knowledgeable staff, they greeted me by name as I came in and the Doctor was gregarious and made sure I understood everything that was going on and what my options were. The follow up getting my glasses took a bit longer than normal because they were looking out for me and sent back my glasses twice to the manufacturer because they did not meet their standards. Ill take a slight delay from those who obviously care about their work, they have earned my continuing business.

I would have given 5 stars except for the feeling that I was being pressured to buy eyewear there as opposed to another eyewear provider or even an online eyewear store. Im not even sure that I was given all of my exam information that would enable me to go to an online eyewear provider so that I could purchase glasses that are more affordable. I have heath insurance but it either doesnt include eye exams, glasses or contacts or this eye care center doesnt participate with my insurance company so I have to pay out of pocket for my exam and any glasses/contacts. This is quite costly so I appreciate any savings I can get and buying glasses at an optometrists office isnt cost effective for me. It would be nice if during the check out process the staff would explain the paperwork they give you (your prescription info) and how to use it if you decide to purchase eyewear/contacts elsewhere especially if they know you are paying out of pocket. Otherwise, I loved Dr Miller and the staff in the back. They were extremely personable, friendly and informative about the process and Dr Miller took time to explain and educate me about my particular vision needs. If you have insurance that pays for eye exams/vision correction I would highly recommend Dr Miller.

I needed to have my eye exam done while I was in Virginia. Dr Miller I found when I looked up eye doctors in the area. After reading the reviews I made an appointment. The front desk staff was very friendly from check in to my check out, then I met Dr Miller. He was AWESOME. Since I had lasik procedure done for glaucoma, he explained in detail with pictures/video the changes, what to expect & what issues to be concerned about. My contacts fit perfectly & I could see again It was an overall great experience, Ill definitely go back when Im in Virginia & its time for my next exam.

Very disappointed with this place. I scheduled an appoint online which was probably my 1st mistake...I should have called and made the appointment. They sent a reply email right away confirming the appointment. Unfortunately I wrote the date of the appointment down wrong and went to the appointment on the wrong day. They had never contacted me as some business will do to remind me of the appointment (had they done that I would had realized that I wrote down the wrong day). They claimed they sent a text message to remind me of the appointment...well thats where they went wrong...I never gave them my cell number...they sent a text to my home. I just dont understand why they wouldnt pick up the phone and call...jeez
