Hands down the best daycare in my experience for my special needs daughter. We went through not one but two day-cares that mistreated my daughter due to her special needs. We were blessed to find Precious Pearls. Staff is attentive, caring, understanding and well trained to look after special needs and role model children. Everyone is taught and treated the same. There hasnt been one day in my almost four years of my daughter attending here that I question my decision for her placement. The owner, director and care givers have my upmost respect for how they handle all situations. They are very communicative when issues arise during the day, whether it be normal accidents, Covid-19 protocols, or them just calling to say your child has had an amazing day. I would recommend and have recommended Precious Pearls to anyone and everyone who is looking for child care in the Great Bridge area of Chesapeake.

When I came into contact with Precious Pearls, my 2 year old toddler was recently diagnosed with Autism and her current daycare basically told us they didnt know how to handle her. My daughter has now been attending PP for over 9 years. The staff have become members of our extended family. Each child is different, and the staff is highly trained to handle children with all kinds of challenges. Its obvious to see that they love the kids and its reciprocated.

In the time that my stepchild has gone here we have received no daily reports. Communication has been lacking and they are severely understaffed for the amount of kids that they have attending. Unfortunately we found out yesterday that they had someone in the daycare test positive for covid, but I had to find out from a friend who also has their child enrolled but they didnt contact anyone else besides the people in the same room as the individual and not everyone in the daycare even though the teachers walk from room to room and I know my child was around them on Friday. They are still opened and operating the day after the positive test and have not informed all parents of this situation.

It’s misleading that they advertise they cater to children with special needs. I have nonverbal twins and I had absolutely no idea what they did all day while I was at work. There were no daily reports, there was poor communication between staff and myself as a parent, they sent my kids home with other children’s clothing items regularly. My kids would come home with new scratches on their face every single day and I never once had to sign an incident report. The last straw that forced me to pull them out was when they apparently allowed my son to walk barefoot while at daycare and he just have cut his foot because when I picked him up he had his foot wrapped tightly in masking tape, not cleaned and no gauze. I received no incident report for this and discovering this made me irate. If you have a nonverbal child think long and hard before you resort to enrolling them here. It wasn’t worth it to me.

Im so thankful for precious pearls. They helped my kid when he was going through a really tough time and have helped him so much academically, socially, and behaviorally. I cannot say enough good things about the teachers, staff, and director.

This daycare is phenomenal. They really care about each individual child and their needs. My 3 year old son has been kicked out of several daycares due to what the daycares deem is unacceptable ie: communication issues, his ability to climb and open doors, and behavioral problems that stemmed from encounters with other children. Precious Pearls has learned all of this and were instantly accepting of my son. He receives all the love and attention he deserves from these daycare professionals. I cannot expression how wonderful they truly are for my son.
