Very happy with my cut and color! Casey was great! It was my first time coloring my hair and she was patient and answered every question I had and was able to suggest the perfect color for my balayage highlights.

Worst experience I’ve ever had. I called the salon an hour before my appointment to confirm the location and was told “oh I was about to call and see if you could come in 15 minutes later”- I agreed to come in an hour later to give the stylist additional time, and even when I arrived she still wasn’t done and I waited an additional 20 minutes. We came up with a good plan of what we would do with my hair- a shadow root, toner, and a cut. We ran out of time and I did not get a hair cut. My hair was poorly blended and the stylist did not do the shadow root until I pointed out how poorly it looked and then she reluctantly did the messiest shadow root I have ever had. My hair is still not blended. She also damaged my hair- which I had been worried about to begin with. Most importantly- while I was there- two stylists were gossiping and talking poorly about another stylist who works at the salon. The stylist who was doing my hair also kept talking about how she couldn’t wait to go home, and complained about being the last stylist at the salon as my appointment started late. I attempted to call the salon to speak with the owner about how unprofessional the salon was however she also never called me back. This entire experience was terrible and I would never suggest going to this salon

So very relieved and pleased with my new hair cut. Terrific customer service and great listener. She takes time to put clients at ease and truly listens while explaining her process.

They had to reschedule my appointment for later in the day but took me in promptly when I arrived. Casey was super friendly and down to earth. The salon was very clean and welcoming. Two of my friends use this salon and referred me and I would definitely recommend it to others.

I went in for a balayage, hair cut and to add in pink panels on September 18th. My experience the day of was great, although it felt like it took forever. I was scheduled for 4 hours and it ended up taking 4.5. although I was initially happy with the outcome, I ended up getting very upset when the pink panels washed out after I ly a week and a half. I paid about $40 for pink in my hair for it to only last a week and a half when I was told it would last 4 weeks with proper care. As I was told to, I washed my hair with cold water every few days with a color safe shampoo and the color still came out. When I called the salon and asked to speak to a manager, the manager (Casey) basically said that it was my fault that the pink didnt stay. Or that it was due to my hair not being light enough. Yall, I am a natural blonde. That was not the issue. The manager then explained that I would have to pay for it to be fixed depending on what needed to be done. I explained I wasnt going to waste my time or money again for it to last a week and a half. I am extremely upset with the customer service this facility has provided. I would not refer anyone here, and I will definitely not be coming back to that salon.

Been going here the past year to see Chrystal P. And she always does an AMAZING job. I went from long hair to a pixie cut last year and she nailed it! I will never let anyone but her cut my hair! Thank you Chrystal!!!

Jennifer was great! I had a transformation coloring. Early greying has made me choose to embrace the change. She has a great vibe and attention to detail. I would recommend and plan to see her again and again!

I came in for a cut and color with Jennifer the day before Valentines Day. Jennifer took the time to listen to what I wanted and even made great suggestions. She perfected my color! So much that I brought my daughters in for a cut and color. My 8 yr old daughter got mermaid peek a boo highlights and my 5 yr old daughter got raspberry peek a boo highlights. Fringe Salon has talented and friendly hairstylist. Not only are they great with me but awesome with my kids as well. I have had the opportunity to work with Noel and I appreciated the time she took to advise what best suited my daughters hair as well as giving my son a cute haircut. We usually get layers for my teen, she knew that her hair need a different style with her texture. I had even thought of getting a perm but she suggested a better option. Its always great to have a hairstylist honest opinion. If you want a hair salon that cares about your hair more than the money this is the place to go.

She was super nice and explained everything she was doing, as she was doing it. Made sure to ask my opinion beforehand on everything she suggested. I had a very bad experience with this Fringe Salon at Kempsville location I called them last Saturday(June 19) if they have available schedule for Jennifer(stylist) for a haircut service so the receptionist gave me a schedule for 1PM and then 30mins before my schedule she called me and told me that if they can move my schedule for 3pm and i said I have some errands by that time so she asked me if I can do Sunday 3PM instead so I’m in the impression that still Jennifer is the one who will do my haircut since she never mentioned about changing my stylist but when I came to the salon yesterday it was a different person who assisted me and cut my hair (can’t remember her name its like kelsey or kelsea) I’m not really happy with my haircut and when I’m about to pay I asked her how much she gave me a quote with a high price and I got confused and wondering why so I asked her how much is the haircut and she said “because my hair is long and she is a master stylist her starting is $45 it depends to the hair…..” so after that I told her I have a 15% off coupon since It’s my first time and I’ve seen a lot of good reviews so I tried going here for my haircut so she total it again and gave me a total price of $51.40 for the haircut and I even gave her a tip of $8 on top of that price which is I’m regretting now. I’m not supposed to pay that kind of amount because I want Jennifer to cut my hair and not other person. I’m very disappointed the receptionist who scheduled me didn’t even inform me that it will not be jennifer who will cut my hair. Very disappointed customer.

I loved the atmosphere. Jennie was lovely and gave me my first pixie cut! She was pleasant to talk with, and I never felt talked down to or scolded about having bleached my own hair, which I get from a lot of places (like, yeah, I know what it does to my hair).

Jamie Ratcliff is awesome! Listens to what I want, makes great suggestions, and is a true artist with both color and cut. Reasonably priced, given the quality of service. Ive been using Jamie for several years, shes fairly new to Fringe, I definitely go there because of her. The other staff that I have met have been extremely friendly and professional as well, and I have seen beautiful work on other clients. If I had to use another stylist there I certainly would, but I am a bit co-dependent right now :)

My son just came home after getting hair cut from this place for the first time and it will be last, not good for guys. 1 star is also too much . I’m a business person too don’t like to mess up anyone’s business but what’s bad is bad .

This was my first experience with Fringe (Chesapeake). The place is very clean, they have complementary coffee and water, they have plenty of books/magazines, and even coloring books and crayons for kids. Jamie was my hair stylist and I loved how friendly she was. I have gone to multiple high-end salons and this one beat all of them with the quality and price. The previous haircuts Ive received from said high-end salons never left me fully satisfied. Jamie took a lot of time to sort through my thick hair. She did a dry cut, then a gentle shampoo, wet cut, and then a styled dry cut and it came out AMAZING. My hair feels light and is beautiful. And my husband, a picky man, loves it which is a plus ;)Definitely coming back!

I have been a client here for over a year. I am always provided with excellent service. I recently went to the new red mill location which was just as wonderful as the Kempsville location. The salon itself is beautiful and welcoming. I have my hair cut and highlighted with Adrienne. She and her staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

I went in to have a perm done yesterday, it look okay when I left because it was wet, but a few hours later it looked like my kids hair when she rolls out of bed in the morning. Mind you I paid ALOT of money to have nothing to show for it!

This was my first time at this salon and I was booked for a perm with Jennifer, she did a wonderful job on the perm and cut.

I have been looking in the area for a place to get microdermabrasion done. The cost is pretty average across the board in Hampton roads, so quality of experience can be very important. I used a groupon for this particular visit, saving some money. But, I am glad I visited. Nicole was extremely pleasant and my skin has never felt so good. I recommend giving her services a shot.

I just about flipped when I heard she was in the area close to my son’s school, church, and lots of friends. I have been looking for somebody else to cut my hair the way she’s been cutting it. I had Jennifer cut my hair today and she did just what I asked for! After 3 bad experiences elsewhere it was wonderful to find Jennifer . I have a short layered cut and she did a great job with the layers and texturizing!! I plan to have her do my hair from now on!

I had called a few times before scheduling an appointment to make sure the stylist who traveled doing bridal hair and makeup was available for my date. Two of the times I called, I was told they had no idea and that the owner who keeps track of that would call me and talk details. I have never heard from the owner and had to call a third time to get a supposed yes they were available my wedding day. The day I went in I had a Bridal consult and hair and makeup trial. When I got there I was told she didnt have the supplies to be able to do a true trial: hair extensions and lashes. Being that we drove an hour to get there and the fact that those 2 supplies shouldnt make that much of a difference, I went forward with the trial. I was told the appointment should take 2 hours. I showed the stylist what I wanted and went through two hairstyles because the 1st looked nothing like the picture and then makeup, I was there for 4 hours. I left very unhappy and even more that I waisted that much money. I am so happy I didnt have the trial that day for my Bridal shoot, I dont recommend this salon at all for anything bridal!

I FINALLY found a salon and a stylist in this area that did my hair the way I wanted and listened to all my requests. She also understood that I had gotten 4 bad hair cuts at other salons in the area previously and made sure I was satisfied. Thank you Casey! I WILL be coming back and would highly recommend this salon!

Never disappointed with their service. The girls that work that the Chesapeake location are amazing, friendly and very knowledgeable about the products they sell. I dont trust anyone else with my hair or my daughters hair.

I had had a great experience at the salon my first time, so I decided to go back again around October. But an emergent situation came up while I was driving to my appointment, so I had to make a last minute cancellation. When I called, I was not informed of their policy.So, today I made another appointment. When I made the appointment I asked for the quote, and the lady who spoke to me gave me my total for the service, but conveniently left out the part that I had a cancellation charge on my account. I had to drive all the way to the salon and it was only then the receptionist (who was very polite, I have to say) informed me that I had to pay the late fee.When I told her, that I had called to cancel and no one told me about this policy at that instance. Having worked in the service industry myself, I understood that the stylist probably lost her opportunity for an appointment because of my cancellation - so I went ahead and paid the late fee and left.The late fee was $25, not a big sum, but what ticked me off was they had the opportunity to inform me on October as well as today before I made the trip to tell me about this situation! I felt a little ambushed :( NEVER GOING BACK TO THIS SALON. Also, maybe the owners can increase the print that hangs in their wall, notifying patrons about their policy.

The owner Adrian is my stylist and she is very professional, knows my hair and what is best for it. Will always be honest about color/cutting. In my opinion she is a top notch stylist in Chesapeake, VA.

Ive had 3 of their stylists work on me, and all 3 times have been great. I have red hair which is a little hard to match when coloring my greys, but they got it down to a science here. AND ITS SUPER AFFORDABLE. I am a LOOONG haired woman and it doesnt break the bank for me to get a root cover, cut, style, etc.

Emilie Kennedy has been doing my hair for the past 9 years. The cuts are always perfect and the color is great. Emilie has a great personality, very friendly. Everyone in the shop is friendly. You are greeted and offered a drink when you first arrive. Great experience! I highly recommend Emilie!!!!

The hairstylist are very professional and very competent. I have tried many places in Va Beach and Norfolk and will travel to this location in a heart beat! I am very satisfied with Fringe. Personally I am Chelseys client she is a MASTER in her profession, very professional, very knowledgeable, takes as much time as needed, she listen to your concerns, she works miracles on my hair, which is hard to style! I went to fringe salon to get my hair done and it was the best salon experience Ive ever had! My stylist, Jade, knew better than me what my hair needed. She turned me into a brunette(scary for a lifelong blonde) and Ive never felt more confident! The other stylists and clients were extremely kind and I was treated like VIP. Go to fringe salon if youve ever walked out of the hair salon upset with what you got..they will make you feel like the beautiful human you are!!

My hair was a mess over processed falling out looked horrible made me super sad after going to someone that didnt know what she was doing..I found Jamie Leigh and she has completely saved my hair...I have seen her three times already and each time she gives me exactly what I ask for and what I want without ANY DAMAGE at all...I highly recommend JAMIE LEIGH she will make you look amazing and feel so much better about yourself and your hair...she literally saved my hair!!!!!! 🤗🤗🤗

My sisters and I recently brought my mom to Fringe Salon for Mothers Day. We are so excited about the results! Mom got the Brazilian Blowout and her hair has never been more manageable and silky smooth! Shelby did a magnificent job! I went with a cut and all over highlights(in an attempt to cover gray) and it is beautiful! Adrinne knew just what to do to fit the cut to my personality and went above and beyond to make sure the highlights were perfect!

My hair stylist is awesome. I moved here from NJ and I was having trouble trusting anyone with my haircut let alone hair color. I decided to choose Fringe Salon. I scheduled my appointment with Jeanine and Im so happy that I did. Every time I go she gets my cut and color on point. She really listens to what you want and what you dont want from your cut and color. I would recommend anyone to her because every time I go I always leave 100% happy with not only my cut and color but the experience I had from the moment I stepped into the salon to the moment I left.

Love Fringe! Have been going there for a few years and all of the stylists are great. I also love the online scheduling and text reminders. I do recommend planning a long afternoon if you are getting full color treatment; they do an awesome job and are very thorough, but it definitely takes some extra time!

Ive been seeing Liz for I believe a year now, if not more, and I have continued to go to her since her move to Fringe. Gotta say, Im absolutely impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the salon - everything is very professional and looks high-end. Liz has always done fantastic work on my hair, from cut to color (and I do creative colors, at least two every time I go in), and Ill never go anywhere else. I have been going to Fringe since it opened!!! It was a new salon close to my house-but it was a big decision because I had been going to another big name salon in Virginia beach for a decade! I was fortunate that the owner, Chelsey, was the person who did my cut and color from the first appointment! After several years of outstanding cuts and color...I would recommend this salon to anyone nervous to move to a new salon! It is a beautifully designed, relaxing space with top notch technique and they always have the latest trends available before most other places! Examples: feathers before anyone else had them-and now you can get bold streaks of color AND Keratin treatments! Love them!

I want to preface this with the girl was very nice, very personable so this is purely based on level accuracy which is nill (I have pictures I will email if the manager/owner would want them). Unfortunately, my hair was blow out in a curl so I didn’t notice all the jagged, uneven pieces off of my length until I flat ironed it when I got home. She said I would only need 1 inch off, it’s actually more like 3 which isn’t so bad if it’s done right the first time. Sometimes more is needed, then so be it. But now because I have to have more taken off just to even this up and I have to pay even more, which I don’t have, because it looked even when I was there because the ends were curled. I thought an hour and a half for a hair cut would mean it was thorough.Sorely disappointed based on all the reviews here. Again, the stylist was very friendly but just inept. Also, there was an offer of %15 for new clients, which I signed up for, but it wasn’t honored.

Brought my mom here for layers and full highlights for her bday. Highlights are perfect but her layers was chopped. Not layered. We both told The her 3 or 4 times ALL AROUND layers. My mom kept telling her The cut was uneven. After sitting there 4 hours my mom was ready to get out of there. I mentioned it was her bday and she was going to come here regularly to get her white roots touched up. They ran out of welcome kits and also didnt have a welcome pamphlet. But we got a card to make sure to vote for their salon. The 1 star was for the good experience I had the first time for myself. Not so sure if I want to bring my 2 daughters and recommend my friends here nor bring my mom back. Im not even sure if I would want to bring her back to have someone fix her hair in here.

Relaxed, clean, friendly environment. Great haircut and highlights. Ive been going to Fringe Salon since it opened six years ago. Chelsey Abbitt always does a great job.Prices are reasonable and I have never had to wait when I arrive for my appointment.

The ladies are great and do a super job. Amanda and Lauren provide relaxing head massages and my hair looked super nice after the blow dry.
