Had successful surgery on both my hands by Dr Bednar at the Cherry Hill center. When he retired, Dr Andrew Miller took over my hand care. He is gentle, caring and explained all my options in treating my trigger fingers and arthritic thumbs. Office staff are very friendly and efficient. No long office wait.

I called for an appointment and was seen the next day in their Cherry Hill, NJ office. I had two fingers on my right hand that were “snapping” (trigger fingers) & received injections. Dr Rekant has helped me in the past with the same problem on my left hand. He has also done my carpal tunnel surgery and nerve release. He has THE BEST personality and has always taken excellent care of me. Highly recommend!!!!

I had hand surgery on July 2, 2021 by DrMark Rekant. He was wonderful, calm, efficient, and I felt confident as his patient. I am familiar with this surgery as it was done on my left hand, by this same practice in 2017. Dr. Rekant though new to me as previous Doc retired, was completely fabulous in his patient mannerisms and knowledge of his skills. In speaking to his team backup on surgery day, cause it goes without saying he s gorgeous, they said he may be good looking , but he knows what he is doing. Follow up care was also a blessing. I was released in 8 weeks to go back to work tomorrow Sept. 1st. Thank you Dr. Rekant for all the wonderful care. The staff at this practice in Cherry Hill are all wonderful too! Thank you, God has given you great gifts and you use them well. Cindy Artale

I went to Dr Rekant for a second opinion after having surgery in April on my fingers. I wish I had gone sooner . Was not happy at all with the progress from surgery after 6 months with prior surgeon , my concerns we’re confirmed and I am finally feeling like I will get sone progress and results with Dr Rekant

The office staff was incredibly kind, professional, and personable. I can not say the same for Dr Rekant and the other doctor that reviewed my history. They were both sadly far from professional. The doctor that evaluated my shoulder first, palpated my AC joint very hard several times and it was painful. When I winced, she said, “sorry” and giggled under her breath, and continued to palpate it. When I jumped around chronologically about my long history of shoulder pain and injuries, she rolled her eyes at me impatiently.I was there for a second opinion because I have been in PT for over a month, and although some rotator cuff pain has subsided, I still suffer with biceps, and what I think is labrum pain. When I asked what to do, Dr Rekant suggested that I “just live with it”There was little he said he could do surgically, and didn’t seem interested in trying to identify why my shoulder still hurts.I left feeling invalidated, and without direction. I suppose I’ll just go back to PT and hope for the best.I was really looking for a more detailed evaluation on the MRI images that I brought to the office, and I question whether he even looked at them based on his flippant commentary about my situation. If my arm was dangling and needed surgery, I may have gotten more attention, but clearly he had no time for a case that involved more than one injury, and some problem solving.

I visited the cherry hill hand to shoulder clinic in Dec 2020 because I was suffering from chronic pain in my thumb. I was Extremely Disappointed with Dr Dekant’s “advice” and the Offensive bed-side manner I received during this visit.[ I was seen first by a doctor in training and then seen by Dr Rekant. Dr Rekant’s examination was minimal and his assessment was arrogantly flippant. I was told “I had blown my thumb joint”. My options? I “could wear a splint forever, get a steroid shot (that might last for3-months) or get a joint replacement”! That was the essence of the entire visit! There was No Discussion of an incremental management approach and I left the office feeling depressed with no solid idea of how to handle my pain going forward, other than wearing a brace forever. ]I subsequently went to a Virtua hand surgeon at another hand clinic, who reviewed my X-Rays, thoroughly examined my hand-thumb, spent time suggesting a minimalist approach and gave me a written summary of the visit. I must add that, two of the suggestions recommended by Dr Rekant were discouraged!I would NOT recommend Dr Dekant under Any circumstances!
