Would never go back. Student did assessment (never wore gloves or sanitized hands). Went fro hand and shoulder pain and was told we don’t do shoulders. Doctor came in ( again no gloves, didn’t wash or sanitize hands). Spent less than 90 seconds with me and said nothing we can do for you. I think he was mad I would not get X-rays at their office when my insurance wouldn’t cover it there. Didn’t even offer a script to get outside X-ray done.

Hand-to-Shoulder fit me in quickly, listened, and took time to understand my hand/finger problem. They were very pleasant and professional - from the front receptionist to the intern to Dr. Rekant. They accept my insurance, and parking was easy which is important to me. I recommend Dr. Rekant and Phila. Hand-to-Shoulder.

Dr. Rekant is amazing. First, he makes a patient feel extremely comfortable and cared for. But, most importantly, there is no hand surgeon with better skills and experience, complemented with deep scholarship in his area of expertise. My hand was in the best of hands.

This was my first visit to Hand to Shoulder and it was a pleasant experience. Everyone was friendly and it was probably the quickest I have ever been seen by a doctor without wait and my appointment was @ 4:00 pm.

After sustaining acute injury to my shoulder I was able to schedule an appt and be seen in less than 1 week. Office staff was friendly. COVID protocols in place. Initially evaluated by orthopedic fellow who did a thorough exam and took history. Had X-rays completed on premises. Then met with Dr Rekant to review findings and plan. Overall a great experience. Staff was friendly. Dr Rekant was extremely personable and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend!!

Dr Rekant is an excellent doctor. He is very knowledgeable and understands the medical issues, explains clearly the problem and what he feels is his best recommendation to address the condition. I was treated for tennis elbow and he performed a Plasma injection which has alleviated much of the discomfort even after one week. I would highly recommend Dr. Rekant!

I went to see Dr Rekant for a third opinion. He clarified the other two doctors were correct except they want to perform 2 separate surgeries and he said I would need both done or be back in a few years. I had an ulna shortening and arthroscopic debridement of the tfcc. He went over the X-rays and mri to show me and explain why I needed both. I had previously had a debridement and was in extreme pain again all because the previous surgeon never mentioned the long ulna bone was the cause. He is very personable and quite funny but it seems some patients don’t understand his sense of humor. I am so glad I didn’t listen to some reviews and happy with my results since my surgery of 10/2020.

Dr. Rekant is a great doctor, he performed surgery on my hand (Thumb/wrist) and removed the trapezium bone and replaced it with a tendon. He performed the surgery at the Wills Surgery Ctr in Cherryhill, the staff at the surgery center were first class. The staff at Dr. Rekants office are also outstanding. When i first met Dr. Rekant he explained my issue and we talked about some things to try, which I already did. My last choice was surgery. I had the surgery the beginning of November, i had my 3rd appointment today and the doctor is extremely satisfied with my prognosis. I am using a different physical therapy which is closer to my home. If you have issues with your hand - Go see Doctor Rekant

Dr. Rekant stated he was going to be doing my hand surgery, when in fact he did not. When taken to post-op I was not seen by him nor anyone else to tell me how my surgery went.At my post -op appointment he told me I did not need physical therapy. I seen him on numerous occasions for severe pain, he stated I had Carpal tunnel and wanted to do and EMG which I agreed to. As I assumed NO carpal tunnel. I have suffered with sever pain since this surgery and he states there is nothing he can do for me. Where my wrist was opened it is caving in and I can not close my hand to make a fist, I have no strength in that hand, I drop everything in this hand. As stated he assured me he would be my Surgeon and when I approached him about this he said, what makes you think I was not your surgeon.Operative reports says, he was scrubbed and present only. It does not show him as operating Surgeon. I have worked in the medical field for over 12 years dealing with operative reports. I know when a surgeon does surgery and when residents do surgery. Therefore he purgered himself. Lied to a patient who put her trust in him. My hand will never be the same Thanks to this Surgeon who misled a patient who trusted the oath he took.

The doctor barely spent 10 minutes with me. After he asked where my pain was he did not examine me or even take a look at the forms I had filled out detailing my medical history. Not recommended. Merely asked me what my problem was and then told me that this would not be something surgery could correct. Focused on the numbers, not on patient care.
