Unprofessional, my husband went to his torresdale practice and the doctor recommended 2 procedures to go under anesthesia. When asking why? the response was because thats just how we do it. Got a new doctor who did not recommend the same. Maybe if he would explain why he is doing things to your body, we would have stayed with him. Find someone else!

Very unprofessional, my daughter went here and everything was okay the first day, these two ladies were always talking to each other and the kids just sat a stared at each other, plus my daughter had some thoughts about homicide and one of the therapists face palmed and said You know youll get locked up right? Absolutely unprofessional

Wish I could give 0 stars. they don’t care about their patients. they care about a pay check. they all lie and hide stuff. very neglecting can’t wait for this place to get shut down. never send a loved one in here for help. they’ll come out even more messed up than they went in.

I guess we should have looked at this one-star rating before going through all of the steps to get into this program. My son called this program while he was in patient in a nursing home being treated for an infection that caused him a lot of pain. He was put on opioids to help control the pain. He has a history of opioid use, and was looking for help not only to get off the opioids again, but also to help with the behaviors in his life that that led him to using the opioids in the first place, as well as his depression and anxiety over recent life changing diagnosis. Anyway, he called the program and they said he had to call after he was discharged from the nursing facility. He called the day he got out of the facility and was scheduled 6 days later for an intake interview. He went for the interview which took two and a half hours, and a 45-minute ride each way. Im sure the person who did the intake had a good idea of what his personality was like, problems he had, and behavioral needs entailed. He was candid and answering all questions, and brutally honest as to what his problems were and what help he wanted from the program. My son asked if they had individual therapy, and she expressed that they did not. He asked how soon he could start, and she said immediately. So the next day he started his first session and was transported by a family member. The session was 3 hours, which was supposed to be scheduled three times per week. Jefferson Cherry Hill Behavioral Health scheduled transportation for him for the next session. The transportation did not show up on time, went to the wrong town, and by the time things got straightened out it was 2 hours later. So he missed his session that day. The next session he went, and was excited to go. He was up ready and waiting. The ride actually came a few minutes early and he was ready to go. After 1 hour of the program, he was asked to leave. A representative from the program called and said that my son was talking over everyone and that they had asked him to leave. Now mind you, this is a person in a behavioral program with behavior problems. They knew during the interview that this was his style of communication. Hyper, impulsive, and excited to interject. My son said that as other people were talking in the group, he just was interjecting comments that went along with the conversation. But, apparently it was not a conversation. It was one-on-one therapy in a group setting. He was told to shut the f up by another patient and the therapist said that thats exactly what I was thinking, not very professional. My son expressed to me that he feels rejected, he reached out for help, and he did not get the help he needed. He was given a list of places to call for individual therapy and sent on his way. This is what he wrote an hour after the therapy:So, I am me and I will always be. Just that, myself. Im not always proud to be me, in fact I am usually ashamed to be me. But, Im only capable of being who I am. Now I dont believe anyone is in any position of any type of judging kind. So I wish people would stop. Im so sad every day, every night. Im just plain sad. Which direction do I go to not be sad? So confusing, never had less emotional control than now. How do I control what I dont understand? I need help. God, please help me. Please Lord, give me strength and understanding. Amen. I want to disappear. I want to be nowhere alone and wallow. I want to drown in euphoria. I want to no longer disappoint. Im not for this world. It was all a ploy to steady injest drugs of any kind. I would like my feelings on this to change, but how? This is so hard and tricky and confusing. So, in closing. The rating of one star for this facility is due to: 1. lack of appropriately placing him in the program, 2. unprofessional behavior by the therapist, and 3. leaving a patient feeling rejected.

Not a good place to be. They don’t try to help you. One small, 5 minute group a day and the rest of the day you sit in a room with everybody.
