Came for a scheduled haircut, and it came out well. I made an appointment, and had a pleasant experience with the stylist Toni, who gave me a great haircut and was professional and friendly. My only complaint is that even with my reservation and showing up on time, I had to wait 20 minutes to be seen, while the lobby was completely empty. The price was reasonable, and no other issues.

Honestly, I couldnt be happier. Christina listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly that! Had a fun conversation with her during my visit and the owner was personable too. I love my cut and color and think theyre very smart to offer a coupon to come back. I will definitely be going back!

This is my second time returning and I really do love it here! Left today with exactly what I wanted and more ! Everyone was very sweet and took their time on my hair, I’ve gotten so many compliments already! If you’re hair is longer (like mine!) it does take more time and product just FYI as I saw some comments about upcharges. I would definitely recommend, thank you !!!

The cut & color are seriously the best I’ve ever had done!I had an absolutely amazing experience here at the Phoenix Salon with Elvi as my stylist. I went there to get blonde hightlights with a layered cut. I walked out of there with highlights that were half way blonde, I asked for a full head and was only given the top of my head. My cut was a razor cut which i did not want. The stylist (Shelly)added a Glaze to my hair and did not advise if the cost before appliying it. She blowed dryed my hair and left it with lots of flyaways I walked out of there with a heart ache but I had no choice but to leave as I had an event to go to. I called the manager when I arrived at my home and explained what happened. I asked him if it was possible to send him pictures. He completely dismissed my concerns and proceeded to tell me that he was not going to give me his or his stylist phone number and hung up the phone. I have not received a phone call since then. I will never go there again. The first picture is my hair after getting the cut. The second picture is what showed the stylist to go by .

All the technicians are wonderful friendly and warm and talented. Never feels like youre there for a very long time. Laura instinctively knows and welcomes my changes alterations and request. Ive never left with nothing less than thrilled with my haircut color or process. I recommend them wholeheartedly!

I had my cut and highlighted by Elvi. She was so nice and did a wonderful job! These are the best highlights Ive ever had and Ive been getting my hair highlighted for over 10 years. I was told over the phone and again when I arrived for my appointment that the glaze was not included which was no problem and I was glad they let me know! I was very pleased to know that they used a glaze at all! I will definitely be going back!

Usually not one to complain or to give bad review but I’m warning everybody!!! Do not go here!!! They completely screwed up my sisters hair, highlights are brassy orange. Hairdresser was so rude, and complained the whole time when my sister asked her to do what she wanted because it was HER hair and SHE was paying for it. She didn’t even cut her hair when it was included in the groupon. Too expensive, and the worst hairdo ever!! Now she has to go elsewhere tomorrow to get it fixed.

Worse experience ever. My highlights looked orange on top and the underneath looked yellow. I asked for Carmel. The owner was so rude. I would never go back. I had to go else where to have my hair fixed. I wish I could post before and after pictures. Do you self a favor.. do not go here..

Literally in all my 30 years of life, this is the first time ive actually left a salon totally satusfied! Like so satisfied i couldnt even nit pick a single thing! Everyobe there is family oriented and the salon itself has a very warm comfortable atmosphere. Christina did my hair and absolutley SLAYED it! She took me from months of quarantine box die and dead ends to a georgous cut and color and highlights! My mom just got her hair cut there and they allowed some trainee to butcher her hair. It’s uneven and she can’t wear it down. She has to tie it up until it’s long enough to fix. The owner (male, older guy) came and tried to tell the trainee (younger Hispanic girl) how to salvage it but it was too late. They did a terrible, terrible job and should be ashamed of themselves. People grow their hair out for months to get a good cut and they ruin it in 10 minutes.

Went in for a highlight. I had a Groupon. I was immediately told that I would need an additional service (glaze). I was happy about that. My stylist was amazing and did such a beautiful job. Everything was wonderful. I gave 4 stars bc I had an eyebrow wax and had to get it fix. I think the tech was just a little inexperienced. But super nice! I will definitely be back!

BEWARE! Very disappointed. Next time I rather do my own hair at home than to come here again. Came here with a groupon and I just moved to the area so I was trying to find a salon that Ill get my hair done regularly so I figured I would give it a try. They will talk behind your back about how you came with a groupon (then why offer it ... ?) and the room echos so you can clearly hear. I honestly should have walked out at that moment. Ended up getting a choppy layered cut. Also, I had my hair washed with cold water bec at this time of the day, theres no more hot water -_- Im done. Groupon is an awesome marketing tool to draw in long term customers by impressing them and showing customers what you have to offer and theyre doing it all wrong. If anything, its dragging their rating on google lower. Ive never done a review on google before but for this experience, I had to. Be warned!PS if you come in with a groupon they will slap on more charges for extra things you cant really avoid.

I have been going here for 2 yrs and I have had no problems. Everyone was sweet and I really loved my hair. This past time I didn’t like it at all.The cut was off, the color turned a bit brassy.I called to talk to who did my hair, she only said oh I don’t know what happened.Did NOT ask me to come in so she could fix it or anything.I made an apt to have it fixed, 2 weeks after my original apt..She put a glaze on my, it turned parts of my hair a purplish gray. Mixed with lowlights and highlights, it was atrocious. I bought a box and did my own hair.I called today thinking they would ask for pictures, ANYTHING.Nope!! I got laughed at and was told there was nothing they could do.So I’m out $240.00 for the cut and color, $40 tip, AND my $200.00 clip in extensions I was told she could cut in and all she did was cut off the bottoms.OUT almost $500.00 and not ONE apology or anything.Sad!

I had a really bad experience with my hair before and after letting it grow out for three years to recover from all the color damage, I started to get tired of my plain hair...so I started asking around and searching for the right person to trust with my hair, that’s how I finally found Michael! He was absolutely amazing! I’m probably the worst kind of customer, had no idea what I wanted I just wanted change and told him to take the reigns and do what he thought would look good...and I couldn’t be happier! After moving to the Jersey area, a friend recommended Phoenix. At the first scheduled appointment, they made me wait 35 minutes before the stylist was ready for a mens haircut. I decided to give them a second try, since every one has an off day. At the second appointment, I was running 10 behind so i called ahead to notify them. They said that was fine, and I drove over. Once i arrived, they told me they could not get me in for 90 minutes. When I asked why they didnt mention that on the phone, they didnt have a response. They also did not offer to make the inconvenience of either trip up to me.I would not recommend this salon.

Worst hair color experience of my life. Unprofessional staff and very rude to customer. The owner of the salon basically recommended the balayage guy who finished my hair color in 30 minutes turning it to be streaky and orange. Charged $200 and was so rude when I tried to get my hair fixed again. Please don’t go here unless you want to damage your hair forever.

Worst experience ever!!! I wish I have read the reviews before going into this salon. I had a Groupon voucher for myself and for my daughter. The stylist that did my hair was so rough. She was pulling my hair apart. She hurt my scalp badly. My service was not pampering and relaxing, rather it was as if someone was trying to punish me. The whole time she was doing my hair, she was saying you need a keratin and so many other treatments. Your hair is and that. She was so mad that my hair was long and curly. She kept saying that I will have to pay extra since my hair is long. Part of my voucher was blowout and style after the haircut. She did not want to style it, she just air dried it and said I cant do anything else with your hair. She really made me feel as if this was the first time I do my hair at a salon. I get these same services at salons every three months and not once was I ever told anything like what she told me about my hair. Long story short, they insisted that I have to pay an extra $40. Worst experience ever. Please take this review seriously if you do not want a deal breaker and a very discomforting service.

Disheartening and completely disappointed. Granted, I have long thick hair, which I mentioned over the phone before setting up the appointment. When I arrived, I explained that I wanted layers and again mentioned that I have long thick hair. I also gestured the layers, just in case the verbal part was not clear enough. I even stated that I am not interested in the blow drying part as long as Im getting the cut done properly with the layers and the volume taken off. Well, I had to request the layers a second time because they were not done. To make the long story short, when I realized that I am not coming through with what I am looking for, I showed them a picture of what I wanted; I had found it in my phone from a previous haircut I had at another salon. Misunderstandings happen, but one must have the intention to make it right. The attitude turned into sighing and just all around negative when I kindly asked him to cut it right. I basically got a trim and no blow dry. If youre going through Groupon, be very careful. Thatll be thrown in your face too. Both Dan, the stylist and Raymond the owner, and another guy who got involved for no reason ( he doesnt know what layers are and he became aggressive), switched up details from start to finish. The owner initially offered to fix my hair at no extra cost. Shortly after, he said no, Ill do it for $60 more dollars. Then he had the nerve to tell me that in the picture I had shown him I have different hair texture. Really?! I didnt know humans can change hair like that. I walked out in disbelief and just all around amazed at the lack of consideration and greed.

I went to Phoenix Salon years ago when they were in Mt. Laurel. My regular stylist was on maternity leave, so I decided to give them another try. I purchased a Groupon for a cut and style. I brought pictures with me. I wanted my hair razor cut. Ive had my hair cut like that numerous times through the years. I was told by the stylist that she couldnt razor cut my hair because I had cowlicks. I told her Id had it cut that way many times in the past. She refused to do it, telling me Id be very unhappy with the cut. Hey, its my hair, but youre supposedly the professional, so who was I to argue. When I got home, I examined the cut closer. It seemed a little uneven and lopsided. I figured Id wait to wash and style it myself to see if that was the case. Well, it was. One side of my hair was longer. The cut was supposed to be shorter in back and longer on the sides. One side was; the other side was the same length. I called to make an appointment to come back. The stylist had left to go out of town, so I had to wait close to a week for her to come back to get it rectified. When I arrived for my appointment, the stylist wasnt there yet. She apparently was flying in from out of town that morning and coming directly from the airport. She came running in late all rushed and out of sorts. She again told me she wasnt razor cutting it because I wouldnt be happy. I said thats not why Im here. Im here because my hair is uneven and lopsided. She proceeded to fix it, but I felt very rushed, like she didnt really care. She asked me if it was ok. I said yes. She said, Thats what you said the last time. Really? Very unprofessional!!! However, when styling it myself, I noticed it still was not perfectly symmetrical. Layers were choppy and didnt blend. There were a few long pieces of hair sticking out that I had to cut off. My regular stylist is now back from maternity leave. I went back to her today. I didnt tell her Id cheated on her. Lo and behold, she asked me who had cut my hair last. I had to fess up! She pinpointed all the issues I as a non-professional had noticed. She fixed me right up. In fact, not even an hour after leaving her, I got a very nice comment from a complete stranger. Made me appreciate her all the more! Moral of the story, dont cheat on your stylist!!!!P.S. I am very shocked by the owners comment to a previous post calling a customer a LIAR!!!! What happened to the customer is always right?????

NO NO NO! Not even worthy of 1 star. Let me just say, I rarely leave reviews but this place is a RIP OFF. I called prior to purchasing the Groupon to ensure they had available appointments. I was told NOT to purchase the Groupon by Elvi or Eivi (can’t remember her name) and they would honor the price. Upon arrival I advised her of the cut I wanted and was given something not even close. After asking her twice if she was going to cut more layers, I gave up. When it came time to pay, she handed me some voucher with a price that was twice as much as the Groupon. I brought up the Groupon on my phone and was then advised the owner would never allow that price. I told her that was the Groupon price and was told that would be honored. She acted like she didn’t know this was the Groupon price (even though it said over 700 were purchased online) and gave me an attitude. After some back and forth she said she could charge me close to what the Groupon said. All the while another staff member agreed with me 100% stating they had to honor what they originally told me. They should not have a deal on Groupon if they are going to try and scam their clients! Disgusting behavior and horrible customer service. The woman who did my hair had the nerve to tell me “next time you’ll have to pay the full price.” Sorry lady, there will be no next time!!!

There was no one but me and my young son there, I wanted to be pampered, instead, an old man, Im assuming the owner, was so annoyed by my 3 year old son, he started yelling at him to be quiet and stand still.... what???? So unprofessional and dirty. Will NEVER go back, will NEVER recommend.

I would gave the old man who works there 5 stars for telling me to go to another salon because he cannot do my hair the way I wanted it . I dodged a bullet hhhhh . Very unprofessional rude , telling me that I cannot have my hair layered because I have a curly hair and I shouldn’t looked at the straight hair styles online and compare my hair to them and mention something about god creation meaning I cannot get style that involves straight hair .. never heard such thing from hairdressers ...i was upset for making me feel that I cannot have certain styles because of my hair type even though I wasn’t asking for short haircut I was asking for shoulder length with layers on the bottom cuz my hair is uneven and thin and it wouldnt t look good on razor cut style ... I guess he needs to go for more courses or get his certificate from another school that if he has one to begin with ....

Girlfriend went here. Unprofessional actions and the hair dye was so minimal you might as well do it yourself. The techs should learn to not be snappy at customers when they ask to rebleach their hair so the color actually sticks. FYI when the tech says to come back and pay again to fix their mistakes, you know you got ripped off.

Rude, unprofessional people and horrible coloring job!!!!! After spending over $200, I walked out of there with hair looking almost the same as I came with although I was supposed to have an ombre design (black at top with a purple on the bottom). The stylist had my head in the sink for over an hour (after having the dye sit in my hair for an hour) rinsing and then adding more dye to my hair repeatedly (while telling me that my hair is too healthy for the dye to take to it). When it was all done, the color could only be seen vaguely in the light. I was told that it would lighten up. After only two weeks, all of the color was washed out (even when using color safe shampoo) and my hair was very unhealthy, dry, and blonde at the bottom. When I called to inform them of the situation, the owner was very rude and advised me that they could try to fix it but I would have to pay for any services done to fix it. When I expressed my frustration and stated that I dont feel I should have to pay them another dime when they got paid over $200 for them to jack up my hair, the owner hung up on me.Not to mention how rude and unprofessional the receptionist was as she and a man were kissing right in the front of the store at the entrance. When I was checking out, I gave the exact amount in cash and then handed her a twenty to ask her for change. I must have confused her with the simple math and she shorted me $5. When I pointed out that I should have received $5 more, she became very visibly frustrated as she began to count the money and eventually very rudely remarked that its fine, here you go, just take it, Ill just take the hit as if I was trying to trick her.I decided to go to a Hair Cuttery just to have them cut it and try to restore it as best as possible and they did an excellent job fixing Phoenixs mess up for about a quarter of the cost!!!! I would never go here again or recommend!!!!!

Then the other Lady said Sorry we cannot honor the coupon and I got PISSED OFF. She have me a discount but I paid $269 For nothing...just an horrible job.Do not go here if u care about your hair.

This ppl suck.. If U show ur groupon voucher they ll treat you like some idiot talking about something which is not related to them. Ending asking you to just pay and go. After coming to know about the voucher also, they dont care a damn about saying sorry for that.. Never will go back there. Believe me even the stylists also know nothing. Upon walking in, its more of salon. The waiting area for the massages is a tiny enclosed section inside the salon. Not very serene or relaxing its just..there.My appointment was at 4, I arrived at 4 and I was brought back around 4:10 - The massage started around 415ish.The massage was given by carmelita. The massage itself was Okay, she was nice and it was relaxing but im a wimp and i felt like at times she pushed way to hard & it hurt. It was also a little odd she put towels on my feet and massaged them that way, Like my feet are disgusting or something??? that threw me off.Anyways, she put two hot towels on my back, left the room for about 5 minutes and brought me a cup of water..it wasnt even bottled! whatever lol. So I got up and looked at the clock it was 4:50.So technically my massage was only 40 minutes long. Yes that 10 mins makes big difference.She walked me out i paid, tipped, took some tootsie rolls & left.
