Well-run practice in convenient location with hours that work.Ive visited Dr. Tapp once or twice a year since 2007. The thing I notice year after year is how convenient and streamlined interactions are with Dr. Tapp and his longtime staff. Dr. Tapp has:1) A downtown/south-side location that offers close-up parking. 2) Scheduling flexibility that keep me from having to take-off work for appointments. 3) An on-site lab and 4) technology that makes coordinating with pharmacies (refills, etc) easy.I feel very lucky to have found Dr. Tapp when I moved to Chattanooga.

I recently had to change my primary care doctor due to insurance requirements. Doing so is really uncomfortable because its yet another person Id have to share all my personal things with. I had lots of concerns what kind of doctor I would get. Would they be punctual or make me wait hours to be seen? Would they fat shame me as my last doctor did for being overweight? Would the doctor be judgmental, abrasive, and harsh to deal with? Or, would they be kind, compassionate, empathetic, and understanding? Would they be able to explain issues to me at a level I can understand and answer questions I didnt even know to ask? These are things I worried about.Dr. John Tapp was none of those negative things. He was first on time. He is very professional, yet hes friendly and understanding at the same time. He addressed my medical issues promptly and explained things in a way I could understand them which is what I need and want. Most of all, he never made me uncomfortable or feel intimidated or fearful in any way. Im a happy patient and look forward to the years ahead. If you were to ask me if Id recommend him, my answer is yes. Now Im glad my insurance required me to change doctors.

Ive been seeing Dr. Tapp for years. He always listens very closely to me and has been very helpful with simple, conservative solutions to any of my health issues. His office staff and lab do a great job and my wait times have been minimal. I very highly recommend Dr. Tapp.

Dr. John Tapp is a compassionate professional. I moved to Chattanooga in 2017 and needed a regular doctor. I really like Dr. Tapp as he listens and truly cares about my well being. I would recommend him to family and friends.

I have never waited over 10 minutes in the waiting room, even when I am early. Waiting room is plenty spacious.Dr. Tapp does a great job, he is attentive, personable, thorough & still navigates a busy office,. I rarely wait more than 5 minutes, I know first hand how hard it is to keep the visiting down. But, Dr Tapp takes the time to listen, without rushing. Great job!

Dr.John Tapp has been my physician for 15+ years and during that time most visits have been for annual physicals and for referral to surgeons for various procedures.Recently I needed his help on a spur of the minute notice.He saw me within 20 minutes of calling his office,diagnosed and treated my problem immediately.I have never had such fast and efficient response to a medical problem.His staff and support people are all first class.Great physician with excellent facilities and staff.

Dr Tapp and Nathan Smith are very approachable and listen seriously to what I have to say. If I feel something is physically wrong they both will try to help me find an answer. I have been helped numerous times by being taken seriously, and in a thoughtful way.

Dr.Tapp is a top notch doctor, and u cant help but love kadie, his nurse ..i would highly recommend Dr.Tapp ,he was my momas doctor up until she drew her last breath and he was SO kind and gentle with her ,took the time to answer questions and put her mind at rest ,ill never forget how gentle and caring he treated her, she would say i love Dr Tapp...he is a great doctor but more so a great man !

Dr. John Tapp is one of the most kind, sincere, caring physicians I have ever met! He is willing to try different things to make the patient feel better, and refer out to a specialist when needed. He is patient and typically soft-spoken so you dont feel like he is fussing at you if you have questions or concerns when he responds. I hardly ever wait more than 5 minutes to see him. They are prompt to return phone calls when you have questions and usually a nurse answers the phone instead of you having to leave a message and pray that you dont miss their return call. Dr. Tapps nurse is amazing too. I couldnt ask for better.

Dr. Tapp and his staff are great, never had any issues. They always seem willing to help.
