The ladies there were so nice, I felt bad because I had to be sticked 6 times due to my veins being hard to find. But. They were nice and helped me calm down when I started crying. Everyone was polite. I really do appreciate and respect the people who work in these places. And I hope you know how much I appreciate you all.

Ive been using both 3rd st and gunbarrel regularly the last 15 months! Ive been praising Erlanger for all their awesome help! Today 8/20 I had to return to er gunbarrel with muscle or nerve in left jaw still hurting after going 2 times before, we thought it was a piece of tooth we found left after having some pull before dentures! Went to dentist and had pulled. After 2 prescription of penicillin its the same. Back to thinking it may have something to do with a fracture in my face, crack from mouth to eye socket, I thought maybe ex ray or muscle relaxers or something else may help. Just didnt know. Good care less about pain meds. Just would like to eat without pain.. So Dr, I quess, comes in,who Ive never seen, immediately saying Youve been here 3 times for the same thing, we cant keep giving you pain medication! We are not a dentist, you need to go see a dentist for your problem!!! I tried to explain I was thinking ex ray that the fracture could be the problem but he cut me off and said see a dentist and left. Rude, assuming and judgemental! Poor representation for whats been a great experience with Erlanger! In hopes this Dr R. H.can take a deep breath before approaching anymore patients! Thanks for all your help Erlanger! Have a blessed day!

Only reason Im leaving 2 stars, instead of just 1, is due to the 1 or 2 nurses, in addition to 1 of the physicians, (the only one I saw, and spoke to, during my 4 separate visits and 20+hours spent, within a week, as instructed by my discharge papers.) The type of care, that you will receive, 9 times out of 10, is as generic as the response from owner to every negative review, that is identical, to each and every other response from owner (owner, save your time, no need to apologize for the torture, the cruel, and unusual suffering I was, and am continuing to deal with, all because of the way I have been treated for the past week, it will fix nothing) This facility, is most certainly, disorganized, illinformed, and the right hand, is unaware of what the left is doing. You will go here and receive one offer of treatment. To follow, with a contradicting form of treatment the following visit. And after everything, nothing, not 1 thing has been done to help me, from 1 visit to the next, leaving me to feel extremely anxious, unstable, and made clear non-important, to come home to family members who cant help, and have to deal with my suffering, and agitation, all because of the lack of communication, or lack of knowledge on the situation. Regardless I do not feel that this is appropriate, fair, or beneficial for anyone, regardless of their reason for visit. Noone should have to suffer because of the, what Im guessing frankly unwillingness of the staff to look into better, conventional, or other standard medical procedure, when dealing with a case. I dont feel it necessary to explain my situation in detail for everyone, just know that if you are looking for fast and efficient, or tailored care based on your needs, go else where, because substandard, delayed, over priced, at times clinically unsafe care, is your best case scenario of what you may receive here! Better medical advice can be found by children, using goodle, (and much cheaper) than any kind of treatment you will receive from this facility. I would just assume go without care, (same chances for a bad outcome) as receiving any medical advice from this facility!

We took my sons girlfriend here for a severe asthma attack, barely breathing on April 16. No one met my son to help as he carried her in (she was not responding to us by this time) and they sat in the waiting room for thirty minutes. A nebulizer treatment was ordered and no one told the nurse who was to give it so they sat for another long time waiting for that. With as bad as her breathing was we expected better care. At one point in time a shift in the vitals sensor attached to her made the alarm for flat line go off and no one came to check and see if she was ok. My son said it seemed there was more care given to socializing with the policeman that was there than to them. We will use another ER next time.

Wonderful experience! Everyone from the exceptionally nice lady at the front desk, to Angie, the person who discharged my husband, was top notch! Brandon, the paramedic, who assisted my husband in the room and Emalaine, the APN who stitched my husband up were both on their A game!! We couldnt have asked for better service and attention!

This is a wonderful facility with a truly wonderful staff. You arrive at your worst. But the emergency room process is streamlined. I did have to wait. But it’s to be expected. The staff was attentive, while being empathetic and caring. Once in the er area, my care was expedient. Every staff member was professional, caring, competent and wonderful. The specialist were a delight. Once admitted the floor nurses were so sweet. They took care of me like I was family, professional, competent, caring, thorough, accommodating and I can’t say enough positive things. The facility is beautiful. My complaint are petty at most. This is a net positive experience. Take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. I’m in and out of hospital at a far greater rate than I’d like. So. This is a semi professional endorsement.

Totally unprofessional and rude. My husband was flown to this facility for emergency surgery after midnight on tues 11/17. I went to the ER for information as you normally would in this situation wearing mask due to covid 19. I was called by the OR nurse and updated as surgery progressed and told to come up to 4th floor to see my husband. When I asked the ER staff, ( I had driven 3 hrs to reach the hospital and it’s maybe 2 am, I’m sitting in a chair in ER only 2 other pts are there.) they sent 2 security guards over and told me to leave and that I could either stand outside (it’s 30 degrees) , or sleep in my car that I could not see my husband til after 4p the next day. (Life threatening surgery for a life threatening incident). I tried to understand and stated my opinion that this wasn’t right. That I needed to see him. (I’m also an RN, so to say the least, this made no sense even with a pandemic) 2 other cops walk over, Hamilton county cops? and the man became very loud and told me I needed to leave, after a couple minutes of trying to explain I got up and went towards the door, they were right beside me, I was telling them it’s 30 degrees outside and I really needed to see my husband after surgery (he is deaf and I often translate for him) . Both cops male and female, (the male much more aggressive) began pushing me and the female would grab at me as the male continued pushing me to the road. (From this incident my back pain has worsened ) I asked if they were going to arrest me as they continued pushing me. I told them that I had broken my back twice and that I’m 60 yr old as the pushing and shoving continued. who does that? Is this what the world is coming to? Is this the way Erlanger intends their patients family to be treated? You can and should do MUCH MUCH better ERLANGER BARONESS Hospital and Hamilton county police. I was told Erlanger East? SHAMEFUL, E. H. Hamilton

Arrival time 10:12 am. Xray taken at approximately 11:00, 3 hours later still waiting on a Radiologist to read it! Next time the choice will definitely be Urgent Care not this!Nurse comes in for vitals again...asked what is taking so long....her response you can always depend on waiting 3 to 5 hours at an Emergency Room...good to know! Her other response you can always get checked quicker at an Urgent Care.

This place is the poster-child for whats wrong with American healthcare. My wife was having an anaphylactic attack and could barely breathe. We went to Erlanger East since it was closest. When we entered the emergency room it was like we were entering a quiet office lobby. -No sense of urgency. -No attention to the injured. Just can you sit and fill out these forms and show us your proof of insurance. I literally had to yell at them, How about we save her life first? This so-called ER is a joke and everyone who works there should be ashamed to be a part of it.

I had an ex exceptional visit. I arrived 2 in the morning with an abcess on my tooth and as soon as i walked in the door I was greeted by front desk rep followed by having vitals checked and immediately put into a room. The doctor Jocelyn Guzman was very knowledgeable and was able to relieve my pain in under 20 mins. They were fast, friendly, and most importantly concerned. I come from Georgia where the hospitals stay packed all day and night and 3 hours is the minimum wait time. I was in and out of Erlanger in less than an hour! And slept like a baby when I got home.

Went in for tightness in my chest and other symptoms that went unaddressed but in the end were/are most likely related to a new medication I was on. The Dr., Clint Christensen as well as LPN Jaimee Connor, both kept asking me how my pain was in my chest. Never once did I mention I was having pain in my chest, but one of symptoms mentioned was a headache... Very poor personal skills from everyone who came in and out of room except for Ana, the RN. Thankfully, I did not have any issues with my heart. Someone needs to give these folks training, however, on how to deal with human beings and how to talk to you while looking at you and how to listen to people when they are talking.

If I could give this Emergency Room 0 stars I would.1. Waited over an hour and a half2. Once we went back to see a Doctor they actually put us in the hallway instead of a room.3. Once the Doctor finally came to see us which was another hour later, he took us in the the public restroom to exam us.4. Probably the rudest Nursing Staff and Doctors I’ve ever encountered.I had thought this was an exceptional hospital and boy was I wrong. Never will I come back EVER. It was so bad that several people actual walked out while we were in the halfway waiting. All complaining about how horrible it was.

I visited the ER last night. Mostly great reviews, because Johnny was my NP and he listened to all my complaints and gave me options on what he believed was in my best interest. My nurse, Bessie (I believe was her name) checked on me numerious times to make sure my pain meds were working and if I needed anything up until the minute I was discharged. I was only there 2 hours, one of those was just waiting for results. My complaints, the nurse that took my vitals wasn’t very friendly. I get that it was busy and trying to move people along quickly. With that, I was also in a bed in the hallway, which wasn’t so much of an issue for myself personally. It was just too close to the nurse station and I could hear them talking.

Sat in the waiting for almost 3hrs! Asked multiple times how much longer, only to be given the same response “they are taking your husband back in a few minutes” those minutes turned into hours. My husband ended up laying on the waiting room floor. The staff did more socializing than work. The doors would open and everyone held their breath with anticipation only to watch the employee turn around and go back. Sad pathetic excuse for an EMERGENCY room...there was no emergency in any of the employees.

I havent been to an ER since I was a kid, but I certainly hope the care I received here is not standard or common, because it was a nightmare.I went to this ER 3 different times over the span of 2 and a half months for severe abdominal pain. I was dismissed because I also have panic attacks. The first time I was given an Ativan and was left to sleep it off in a hallway.A week later the pain was much worse. I do not have insurance. I really did just think it was related to my anxiety and let it go for as long as I could. My second trip in I was taken more seriously, though still they harp on my anxiety. I know my anxiety and I have been unmedicated since I was a teen, by choice. Yet thats all they really cared about. This time they decided it was an ulcer and set up an appointment with another facility, also under the Erlanger name, for 10 days later. The place they sent me was worse than the ER. I wont go into that situation in this review, because its another location. But it was awful. Doctors lied to my face, refused to give me even nausea medication until i had completed What the ER gave me, even though they were saying it was something entirely different (which it was). Which I spoke to another doctor about, and that is ridiculous. ANYWAY.After seeing a doctor 3 different times over a few weeks, I was really starting to lose it. I didnt feel like going back a third time would help. Then I woke up and couldnt stop vomiting so off I went. I waited in the waiting room for over an hour before finally getting seen but only for triage/vitals. I asked for something for the nausea and was told no. I had to wait until I got a room. Which wasnt for almost another hour despite an empty waiting room.Fast forward many miserable hours later.. I still had been given no medication despite being in a room. They ran a drug test and the only concern then became that I was positive for marijuana, which is the only thing Ive had for pain since no doctor under the Erlanger name at either location would prescribe me something for pain and nausea. I was willing to just die at this point after nearly 3 months of suffering. And heres where it went super bad. I said that. I said if they sent me home a third time I was gonna drive off a bridge on the way home. I am not suicidal. I was in so much pain and felt so sick, and despite how long Id been there.. theyd done nothing but take blood and urine.I was nearly foricibly stripped and the head nurse (who is very power hungry) copped an attitude with me on how she didnt have to do anything for me. I called her a B word and she said you pissed off the wrong person.I was then put in seclusion. A room with nothing but a bed. After vomiting for nearly 6 hours, being in the ER for 4 of them, and having no medication. My pain level was a 7-8, and I was so dizzy I could barely stand. Once I had been there for hours they sent a counselor type person in to talk to me. Again, only focusing on the fact that I wanted to drive off a bridge BECAUSE I WAS IN PAIN. Even a Tylenol would have been something.. But I was denied it.I have since been diagnosed with gallstones, with what I was experiencing being severe gallbladder attacks from them. But no one at Erlanger could look past the marijuana or my anxiety to help me.They even set me up with a care navigator who not once in over a month has answered her phone or called me back. Referred me to a surgery center who said they wouldnt see me. Lied to my face about it, until I played them the voice mail I had saying they dont see ER referrals. The whole situation is a nightmare. This place is hell. Id rather die on the side of the road than trust any person in this emergency department with my life or well being. They have made it abundantly clear which health problems matter, and if you have any sort of anxiety or smoke weed nothing else will matter. No matter how much pain youre in or if you cant even keep down water.Good luck collecting payment from me, Erlanger. You wont see a penny from me.
