Had to go out of town on family emergency had no one to care for our two baby girl pups who had never been away from us or played with our dogs. I don’t know was more nervous me or the dogs. Probably me! Either way the staff was amazing and sympathetic to the situation. Assessed the pups to make sure that they would be able to integrate with the other dogs and play nice without incident and the manager Brianna went above and beyond to answer all my questions and ensure that everything went smoothly and Gingr was a rare gem. Cudos ladies !!

Weve been to The Ark several times now for both daycare and boarding. The staff has been helpful, attentive, and friendly. Mojo can be challenging with friendly over-exuberance and they have handled his excitability really well. He comes home happy and tired.

I brought my pup in for her first day of daycare assessment, and they were so great! She had fun, they calmed my nerves, and she even got a goodie bag at the end of the day! I heard great things about them, and they 100% lived up to it. I am definitely bringing my pup back!

My dog is a shelter dog and extremely shy with people, yet she immediately took to Sydney (the manager) the first day we walked in. Today she went right up to Hannah and someone else whose name I did not catch. We have had her for 2 months and she is still very skittish around people, but not here. They are amazing! She’s got a bit of a barking problem at home, but when she’s been at the Ark, she gets enough play that she doesn’t bark when she gets home. They are so accommodating and so lovely.

From the moment I walked in I knew it was the right place for my fur baby. The staff is always friendly and helpful. You can feel they love what they do and that they love the pets left in their care. Would highly recommend 🙂

My fury fella LOVES his vacations at the Ark. He gets excited when we pull into the parking lot. We use the Arks amenities for both bathing as well as boarding, sometimes separately. When he comes out for a bath only, he makes a B-line for the door to the play area in hopes of seeing his friends. This alone tells me how much fun he enjoys when he does stay for a bit.The staff are always excellent in his attention and needs, as well as communicating with me.Thank you all at the Ark for providing a place for my fella to fell safe and at home. I may try to board myself this weekend. Large kennel please.

We took our puppy to The Ark Hixson for an evaluation. The check-in staff and the check-out staff were very helpful and kind. I was able to watch the web cam the whole day and keep an eye on him. My puppy came home happy and tired. He had a great day. Cant wait to take him back.

Some of my dogs nails are black, I cant trim those so they take care of it, and do an excellent job. Pepe, my Chihuahua was happier after having them done and so was I.

This was our first time at The Ark. It was a great experience for me and Annie. Her haircut was adorable.

My Bella, who is a mixed breed rescue, loves going to the Hixson Ark. We do both boarding and daycare and she gets so excited when we get there.The staff has always been great with her and gives her all kinds of hugs and kisses!!The staff is very friendly and I believe always truly glad to see Bella and me!

I will not be boarding my dogs at this or any ark locations. Dogs were dropped off with enough food for their stay and when I picked them up they had over half their food returned to me. Both dogs are lethargic, one is sick and every time I checked the pet cams they were inside kennels and not playing. Ive heard reports of budget and staff cuts coming from corporate for all ark locations. I will not risk my pets health I will find other boarding options in the future.

I took my Yorkie(Ace)for a day visit because I have a trip coming up and I need a boarder. A day visit is required before they allow boarding which I think is great! When we arrived the two girls at the desk were really nice and when I came to pick Ace up and they remembered who I was there for and they sent him home with a bag of treats and his A+ report card, so I was able to schedule his reservation to stay. He seemed to enjoy his stay and I would recommend the Hixson location!

These ladies did an excellent job with my Siberian Huskys grooming. By far the best shes ever looked. And anyone who has or has had a husky knows thats not easy to do.

Would not recommend. They have a hard time keep groomers at any location. Made an appointment one month out and canceled on me the day before. Go anywhere else

To say I love The Ark is an understatement. I started bringing my dogs there when they first opened in Chattanooga. I have brought several of my foster pups there and they have a great time. I can never recommend The Ark enough!

**Update: I received a phone call from Sarah, I believe general or regional manager. She was very kind and apologetic and wanted to make things right. I was very hesitant about giving them another try but since she stated Haley left the company, so I agreed. My dog only stayed one night but I had no issues this time. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. Communication was very clear and professional. We will use them in the future in hopes to have the same experience.One star is only because the kennel staff seemed friendly. The communication with staff is horrible. Every employee tells you something different. The manager Haley is rude, un empathetic, snarky and needs to be trained so she can train the rest of the staff. Apparently the online booking is not connected to their facility so they had no idea that I was a new client. Even after emailing and speaking to two people and one of them saying they need nothing else. So when I arrive for boarding there was an issue because my dog hadnt had a n assessment day. She couldnt show me where on the website it says this is needed. Granted after registering online , putting in my dates to board and credit card number they still had no record of us and dont reach out to new clients. But they did confirm my vet records over the phone and email and said didnt need anything else. Fast forward, on pick up day they said no problem to wait until 6:10 to pick him up. Which earlier two people, including Haley, told me to just let them know if its after five because they still have kennel staff there. Never gave me a cut off time. Turns out that its 6pm, but Hunter said its no problem we will hang out until 6:10. We arrived at 6:02 and no one was there. My dog only had food to last until Sat morning. He has food allergies and went without eating Sat night and Sun morning. When I picked him up Sunday the two ladies in the kennel were kind, very sincere and apologetic about my experience. It was sad to see they had better customer service then manager Haley.Also my dog lost 5 lbs in a 4 night stay. No one ever called to let me know about any concerning any eating habits.I will not be back to any of the Ark locations.

We have taken our Aussiedoodle here twice now for a basic groom. He has left happy and looking great both times. The place is clean and they doggie stylist is friendly. She makes my daughter happy by giving our pup a mohawk ;)

The crew at the Ark Pet Spa & Hotel are always helpful in accommodating our pets needs, no matter how busy they are. All the staff, from the manager and the front desk staff, to the groomers and kennel staff, are always professional, kind, and genuinely seem compassionate about the care of our pet. I can leave my buddy with them and not have to worry about his care while I am gone. Thank you all!

I love the Ark at Hixson! I have never had a dog that needed regular grooming until Vader. He absolutely loves coming in for his grooming and puppy play dates at daycare! The staff are all very professional and care for Vader like he was their own ‘fur baby’. I highly recommend them for ALL your pet needs!

Puppy loved staying here! Staff was great, very attentive and helpful. Did doggy daycare for the first time while out of town since our dog couldnt go to a place where we wanted to go for a couple of hours. They let us know what was needed and had us send necessary documents via email and fill out paperwork online so when we arrived we could be at ease just watching and talking to be comfortable dropping him off.When we picked him up he was so tired he couldnt stay awake for the ride back to where we were staying! He loved it! He got a bath there and played all day! We watched him on camera go from one room to another and our kids loved watching him play with other dogs at will. He was so exhausted! Would totally do it again and the front desk staff was awesome! Thank you for taking such good care of our pup!

We drive almost an hour to have them give our two dogs their spa! They are reasonable, the dogs love it there, no hidden fees everything is RIGHT there if you read it and are a responsible consumer.

We absolutely love everyone at The Ark! We first started bringing our dog Ruger here for boarding in 2018 when we were visiting family. We moved in 2019 and have been using them for boarding, daycare, and grooming ever since! The staff are super friendly and kind and always greet Ruger by name when he comes through the door. He is always worn out from playing hard every time we pick him up. As someone who owns an Aussie- I am very thankful he is able to get his zoomies out :) I have peace of mind knowing I can check on him during the day on the cameras they have available through their website. Would recommend to anyone looking for a safe, fun place to keep your fur babies whether for daycare or going on vacation!

I instantly felt comfortable with Ark Spa. The atmosphere is soothing and the staff are so wonderful. The first time I took my boys a staff member took pictures of them to show me who they did at pick up. There are pet cameras on the webiste, so I could watch my dogs, but the fact that she took pictures to show me really made me feel like the staff cared about my boys and that they wanted to make me feel at ease. They also remember their names every time I go!

I picked up my dog at 3 pm and was told a pick up after 2 adds a $10 fee. Was never told that. $10for one hour is ridiculous. Never again!!Child care at 10 an hour is overboard and I guarantee she was in a cage during that hour do she required nothing and yet they charged $10 for one hour.I think they think a little more proud of themselves for the little maintenance needed.NEVR again and they didn’t even do the nail trim which I provided a coupon for.

We love the staff at the Ark in Hixson. They are very kind to both us and our puppy. The groomer did a great job of making sure our pup had a positive experience w/ his 1st haircut and the cut looks fabulous! We will definitely recommend the Ark to our friends.

The Ark is great in Hixson. My two Frenchies love going there and get excited each time we go. I highly recommend them to care for your fur babies!!!

Paid for day care and nail trim. I was assured they cut my pups nails. So, I didnt check until I got home. They were not cut. I called right away and they suggested to bring him back another day. I would be charged again for day care to have his nails trimmed. No refunds were mentioned. This location has now failed me twice. The other time my pup was there, they lost his bowl.

Very friendly and clean. I like that there are no reservations required for daycare. The report card for our dog was spot on....pardon the pun...and our dog was good and tired when he came home. Will definitely be taking him there regularly. From what I could see, it might be helpful to have more playground area equipment and entertainment options.

First time taking my dog to get groomed here because my normal place was closed. Will definitely switch here as my dog has never smelled so good for this extended time! 3 weeks and she still smells like the shampoo. Only complaint is that they didn’t cut her ears how I asked, but no big deal at all- she looked good still. Also I have a golden doodle and they did a good job!

We are new to Hixson and I was very nervous about leaving our fur baby at doggy daycare. However the staff made me and my baby feel very comfortable from the minute we walked in the door! Cash is on his 4th day of daycare today and he has been ready to go in every morning! The facility is extremely clean and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.

I was incredibly disappointed and uncomfortable with The Ark’s complete mishandling of proper COVID procedure and local mask mandate. I went into the location a total of 4 times to drop off and pick up my dog and was, on more than one occasion, the only masked individual in the lobby. I was shocked, especially because they have the Hamilton Co. mask mandate press release right on the front desk. When you have to get close enough to an individual to hand your dog off to them, the least they could do is put a mask on. We should not patronize businesses that clearly don’t care about their own, nor their customers’ safety.Edit: in reply to the business owner, my name is not coming up because my partner booked our dog’s visit. I assure you that my experience was shared and reported to local authorities

Everything is always lovely when my puppy arrives. They always take very good care of him while he is there. The staff is always chipper even first thing in the morning when I dropped him off. They have been nothing but Pleasant during all of our experiences.

Jack goes to his “school”, The Ark, Monday- Fri and every morning he sits with his Collar and lead at the top of our stairs waiting to go with anticipation.This is the place we have trusted for the last 2 yrs with our 4 legged furry baby, everyone at the ark is like family to us, they give us a updates on how he played that day or if he just had a stand-off day, it’s comforting to see the interaction that Jack gets and gives with the staff there lots of love and kisses.

Would definitely recommend!! Friendly staff and very clean. We take our baby every Saturday so she can play with her new friends. Noodle loves it!

Cooper loves going to The Ark in Hixson! He can’t wait to get pets from the staff, who know him by name. He always comes home happy and ready for a good night’s sleep. I’m so happy the Ark is so nearby and convenient to me. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Took my dogs there today for their assessment and it was so neat to be able to watch them on my phone! We are leaving them there this weekend and I feel they will be very well taken care of! They are both worn out and sleeping now!

My buddy Bull loves going to they ark in hixson. He has a lot of fur friends to play with & he loves the friendly stuff. He has grown up with everyone.

We have been bringing our dog here for a couple months now and he loves it! On our way to drop him off he gets so excited. The staff are very sweet and friendly to us and to him. They have even offered to help me get him in the car when I have my toddler in tow. He is always a very tired and happy dog when we pick him up which is wonderful.

My Pup loves the ark! When I pick her up from daycare or boarding she is usually asleep by the time we cross the train tracks from all the exercise she gets! I love how quick and easy their billing and check out process is each time she goes. The staff is extremely friendly and sweet and greeted Holly by name only after a few visits. Very happy she has a safe “home away from home” at the ark!

The Ark in Hixson TN is a wonderful place. All of the employees here are so kind and considerate not only to my family and me, but also to my dog. My dog goes to daycare here, and I really think she loves it. The Ark let’s all the dog interact with one another, but they do have the small dogs separated from the big dogs. Lastly they have an app with all of their cameras on it so you can watch from your phone what your pet is doing all day. I love this place! I highly recommend!!

My fur baby has been going to day care here for over a year! The staff is so wonderful and I never worry about leaving him ! He loves it!

I wasn’t happy about leaving my dog for a week and when I heard i could see and check up on her I was so happy and I wasn’t as upset but you know i was still sad that I couldn’t take her lol, & one day I started missing her really badly and I had emailed them asking if they could send me a quick picture of her because I just missed being around her, and they called me and they sent me a picture of her, and that made my mind up about this place, They are amazing, I want to send her there EVERY time i have to leave town without her (even though i never like leaving her). But the point is I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this place, even before you leave, like a few days before the day your boarding your dog they’ll ask you to leave your dog there for a few hours so they aren’t as nervous going back and so they know the place.

I have been taking our dog Lexie & Remy to The Ark in Hixson for several months now, and they enjoy going. The staff has been very helpful when I am coming and going on camp days. They have been very friendly and have asked if I needed help in getting her in the car. When it was Lexie and Remys birthday we were given a sweet little dog cake for each of them. I was given the internet login and password so I can check the pet cams while she is there. I would recommend The Ark in Hixson whenever you need a doggie daycare.

My pup begs to go to daycare at the Hixson Ark! Everyone is so friendly! She has stayed for boarding, as well, and its reassuring to know that she is safe while I am away. I enjoy being able to watch her play through the video feeds.

I took my long-haired dachshund yesterday, 08 July, 2019, for a B.B.N. The package is clear: a bath, a brush, and a nail trim.When I picked him up, I was charged 8 dollars over the base price, which I though was odd because he is only 11 pounds. The woman kindly lowered the price and I thought that was all.When we arrived home, however, I noticed that the groomer had hacked away at his feet and ear hair. It was a travesty. His once cute, naturally wavy ears are now scissored in straight lines. It looks awful and so unnatural.When I dropped him off, absolutely no one warned me or asked me about trimming his hair. There is also ZERO mention of it in the package. So, the groomer took it upon herself to cut my dogs hair, hair that is NOT meant to be trimmed at regular intervals like a Yorkies hair. I am hopeful it will grow back, but it will take a long time. This is also why, I assume, that the price was higher.In summary, MAKE SURE YOU SPEAK TO THE GROOMER PERSONALLY. The packages are misleading and they take it upon themselves to cut your dogs hair without permission.

I usually board my dogs at another location. Buy they jad no openings for the night we needed. I am so glad now because thats how we ended up p at the Ark to board our dog and puppy. I was just blown away how good they were with my 5 month old puppy and 10 year old dog. Love love the staff. I will never go anywhere else. Hats of to this amazing staff.

I always feel confident leaving my dogs with the staff at the Ark. They remember my dogs and are happy to see them even when we havent been going regularly. They come home tired and content after a day of playing.

Was kinda confused with all the questions about our dog...all we wanted was to get her trimmed. Had to look at a book of dogs like she was in a line up...may be good for boarding but a little pricey on the trim. Dont go unless you have your dog, or be ready to look through a line up book.

I’ve had excellent experiences in both boarding and grooming. Clean premises, friendly and caring staff and a great groomer. The best kennel in town.

If you plan on boarding your pet there, make SURE their camera system is up and operating. I was told our IT guy said our IP addresses on them were jumping around when I went to drop my animals off and was assured it would be fixed quickly. They were boarded for 10 days and I could not check on them one single time. They both came back lighter and both drank tons of water the first several days they were home. Not sure they got any of their wet food as the measure was spotless and still had the UV marker I put on which should have washed off. Not convinced they got the play time I was told theyd receive and theyve refused to allow me out of their sight. On the upside, the employees when I went to look at the facilities appeared to be socializing, gathered in the side room. No, I will not return.

Called several days in advance to confirm that my cat can stay with them even though he did not have a vaccine that was listed (my vet said my cat did not need this vaccine because he isn’t a outdoor cat) and the lady at the desk said she trusted my vet so it was okay for him to be boarded there. Went to drop my cat off but they refused to take him because of not having the vaccine that they said just days before that it would be okay for him not to have.

Everyone here loves my pup and loves their job! I couldnt ask for a better daycare for my goofy doggo. She always has such a good time and comes home EXHAUSTED after her busy day of wrestling, running around and playing in the doggie pools!

We used to bring our dog here often, with no issues. A few months ago when I picked my dog up they let me know he was in a little fight, I reccomended he not be placed in with the big dogs any longer (he is a 32 lb beagle). Well about a week and a half ago we picked my dog up and noticed he was bleeding from his head in which the staff had no idea what happened. He ended up having a bite on his head and his cheek, we tried multiple times to find out what happened and the ark still claims they didn’t see anything on the video. We eneded up taking him to the vet and he was very lucky there was no serious damage. I understand dogs play rough sometimes but be very careful as we learned they do not watch the dogs very well since they had no idea anything happened. Will never return to any of the ark locations.

Horrible customer service! Used to be the best now they are the worst. Don’t waste your time like we did. You have been warned.

Tl,dr: It is unfair to willfully ignore a customers warnings about their pets and then assume zero responsibility and ban the animal from 3 facilities when things go wrong.First visit a few weeks ago, our lab came home with his collar torn up and open wounds on his hips. The staff said nothing happened during his stay even though his collar was so damaged it had to be replaced. Fortunately the wounds were shallow and he healed up fine. We shook our heads and moved on.Second visit on 8/18, I dropped off the same lab as well as our 40lb pointer mix. I made sure to tell the staff that the big one was great with people, but not friendly with other dogs and needed slow meet & greets. The staff member took both dogs to the back, immediately tossed them into free play, came back up front and pointed to the security camera saying, see, theyre fine.I was bewildered and a little angry that she 100% ignored what I had said literally one minute earlier. But as these staff members see thousands of animals, I trusted they knew what they were doing. This turned out to be an incorrect assumption.I did not get the staff members name but this was utterly poor customer service and I blame the following paragraph wholly on this sort of inattentive behavior by the staff.We picked up my dogs the following evening. The next day I received a voicemail from Tia at the Ark saying my lab was great with them, but unfriendly with other dogs, and so they had decided he was not welcome back at the facility. I called the Ark to get details. Amber answered and had no additional information to share and defended the decision.If the staff had listened to me AT ALL, things would have gone differently. My dog is not perfect, but he is easy to handle if someone actually cares to pay attention to his personality and his owner. We just moved to Chattanooga 3 weeks ago and now we are down 3 of the few locations weve found so far. Thanks for a great welcome to town.
