Melanie and Dr. States are the best! No pain during my cleaning. Dr. States listened to my concerns and gave me great recommendations. I felt very safe during COVID. Would highly recommend this team!

Recently went for an appointment for my elementary aged child and then a few days later for myself. Everyone in the office was polite, attentive, and courteous. The dental hygienist was exceptional at aiming to make my child feel comfortable and explaining what she was doing. We did X-rays and cleaning. Dentist was also quick but thorough and ensured we understood anything discussed. All in all a great experience. We saw Denise and Melanie and Dr. Vo and Dr. Horton.

I had a wonderful experience with Melanie! She is competent, knowledgeable, and skillful. She talked me through everything before performing tasks and made sure I understood the process! She has a wonderful personality that makes you feel warm and welcome while in her chair! Best experience with a dental hygienist since coming here! Excited to come back to see her! I also love my dentist, Dr. States! They always take the best care of me and my teeth and gums when I visit!

I have high praise for Dr. Horton. She offers common sense advice and is great about returning phone calls. It’s so refreshing to have such a warm and welcoming dental experience. They were very thorough and made sure I was comfortable. The best part is their sense of humor sprinkled w their professionalism!

My new hygienist, Melanie, did a great job cleaning my teeth today. She thoroughly explained a new (to me) cleaning technique with high-velocity waterpik. My teeth and gums feel great!

My daughter and I had a phenomenal experience at Charlottesville Dental Associates. She was very nervous. Keisha and Denise were so wonderful in helping to ease her fears. They were incredibly kind and patient. Dr. States is such a wonderful dentist who I have seen for years. This could not have been a better experience for us.

Hygienist Denise and Dr. Vo were an absolute dream team. Their playfulness and hilarious riffs together put me at ease after my cleaning was finished. My experience with the dental hygienist Denise was wonderful. And Doctor Horton has helped me get over my fears of going to the dentist! I am happy to say I have a new dentist!!

I went in for the second time in two weeks, this time to replace my temporary crown with a permanent one. Both times, I was treated as well as I have ever been treated in any office of any type. From Tabitha in the front office to Christel, Dr. Vos dental assistant, to Dr. Vo herself, I was listened to, treated professionally, graciously, and genially. Cant imagine a better dentists office.

Foremost, I greatly appreciate the strong effort of this dental office to provide safety first for their clientele and staff. I was happy to find they have not dropped their guard against COVID and all protocol is in place, unlike many businesses in the area, which makes me uncomfortable.I saw Dr. Horton for a filling. Atmosphere is friendly and professional. Dr Horton, assistants, and office personnel are always considerate and efficient. Highly recommend.

As someone who had put off going to the dentist for quite some time, I was pleasantly surprised at the ease and confidence that Dr. Horton and her assistant, Sandy, worked. Dr. Horton did a great job of creating a simple and efficient plan to improve my oral health. She didnt make me feel guilty or shame me for where I was at (which was not great). Her assistant Sandy was so sweet and made me feel at home. I think the biggest compliment to the two of them is that I was so comfortable when they were working on fillings that I almost fell asleep!!! Im very thankful for the two of them and also impressed by their ability to work so well together!

Melanie was terrific. She brought me up to date with all the changes in the office. In particular she explained the new cleaning device she was using. I really liked this cleaning device in comparison with what was used in previous appointments.

This has been my dentist office for over 20 years. I have never had a bad experience with them - the hygienists are knowledgeable, thorough but gentle, and nice to talk to. Dr. States has rarely recommended a filling or crown or other procedure - only when its truly necessary. Going to the dentist is not anyones favorite thing, but they have taken good care of me and my teeth for a long time.

Melanie did an amazing job cleaning my teeth.

My teeth got much worse after seeing Dr. Vo. I went here to check my teeth because it hurts a bit when I bite very hard things. Dr. Vo said my previous filling was lose, and did my filling again. Then my teeth got much worse, they are very sensitive to cold and hot food, and they ache all the time! Dr. Vo told me it would be better in two days, but now its already a month.

Great experience. Christel and Dr. Vo are great, kind, and made my emergency visit pleasant.
