My meeting with South Endodontics was extraordinary. I was very happy with the treatment I received on Monday even though I was extremely nervous about dealing with my first ever root canal! Honestly, I couldnt even feel or tell that Dr. Coe was drilling my tooth. The procedure was very quick as well, I was in and out of the in an hour and completely done with my root canal. If I ever need work again, I will definitely be going back to South Endodontics and if any family or friends need work done I will definitely refer them to this office.Thank you so much for fixing my tooth and especially a lot of thanks and appreciation to Dr. Coe who was very gentle through the whole procedure and made me feel at ease since I was extremely nervous before I even walked into your office!!!

Dr. Coe performed a re-treatment root canal for me and was five star. He was skilled, considerate, gracious and efficient. The entire procedure took about an hour - SO much less painful and difficult than I was expecting. His assistant, Lamarea, was top-shelf too. Would HIGHLY recommend their offices for a root canal procedure! Their price was quite fair, as well, about half the quote I received from another Endodontics office.

If I could the office a zero star I would. I never go back to this location. The doctor is horrible and doesn’t care about patients. I still can’t bite down on one side. I had to go back to the office after having a root canal. My issue is still not fix. The worst part no pain meds for pain

Dr. Coe and his staff were incredibly caring, thoughtful, and professional. Getting a root canal is never a pleasant experience, but I could not have been more comfortable or confident in the care I received. Dr. Coe even followed up personally after my appointment to make sure I was doing okay! Could not recommend this practice enough!

Excellent Service. Dr. Coe is a wonderful with very pleasing attitude. His knowledge and expertise in Retreatment/Root Canal is amazing. I had my retreatment on 4/16 which was unbelievably a seemless and very nice experience with a very very minimal pain. I will recommend Dr. Coe outloud for his excellent service.

I have been seeing Doctors and Dentist for 80 years and this has been the first time it has been suggested that I have badgered a Doctor for narcotics. This was the most embarrassing experience that I have ever had in a Dental office . When Dr. Hal Coe finished my procedure and I attempted to discuss pain management with him, in his own words he accused me of badgering him for narcotics. He was rude and arrogant. This was my second root canal in two months and I have experienced extreme pain. I explained to Dr. Coe that I had taken so much tylenol and ibuprofin that I could not safely take more. It is my contention that a Dr. patient relationship should be one of mutual trust not to mention that I paid close to 2,000 dollars for this service. I would like to get on record with Charlotte Endotonics that I do not smoke drink or take drugs. I dont know how you get such good reviews. I came to you for a second opinion, and it was a humiliating experience. such a rude callous Doctor as Dr. Hal Coe does not belong in the medical profession. I would never recommend Dr Coe to anyone,especially to and elderly patient .

I have *never* bothered to write a review for anything before, but I feel compelled to after my visit today. My root canal consultation today with Dr. Hal Coe was literally the BEST experience Ive ever had with *any* medical professional in my life.Its very clear from my visit today that Dr. Coe prioritizes the best interests of his patients above all else. He addressed my case with humanity and integrity. My experience here truly made me feel like they were the most concerned with being helpful to the patient and less concerned with their bottom line. This is so important in the medical field, in which there exists such a staggering asymmetry of information and knowledge between the professional and the patient; we basically just have to trust whatever they say and hope theyre honest and correct.My general dentist said I definitely needed a root canal and referred me to South Charlotte Endodontics. I was scheduled to receive the root canal from Dr. Coe today, but after performing his own examination, he determined this was actually not the best course of treatment for me. He said he could perform the procedure but didnt want me to waste my money on something that would ultimately not solve the problem, and instead referred me to an outside oral surgery office appropriate for the treatment needed. Even after he determined that my dental work should be referred out to another completely unaffiliated doctor and that my case was not going to generate revenue for his own business, Dr. Coe still spent his time advising me, rather than just treating me like I was now someone elses problem. Dr. Coe and his staff were kind, caring and helpful. I seriously just want to give Dr. Coe a big hug!

Dr. Hal Coe did my root canal quickly and effortlessly. I take quite a few shots to get numb, and Dr. Coe and his assistant were understanding and made sure to give me enough medicine to make the entire procedure painless. I have had no issues with it, and would happily recommend this practice - Dr. Coe in particular.

I have, unfortunately, had a number of dental issues throughout my 71 years, and I have had many different dentists in many different cities. Dr. Bell is far and away the best Ive ever seen. Super skilled, super smart and super personable guy. He took the time to give me a full scale thorough explanation of every thing he would be doing on me, complete with detailed photos of my teeth. Likewise, his assistant Allison is also great at what she does. You cannot go wrong with these folks!

I had a root canal done by Dr. Hal Coe and found him to be excellent. He took the time to answer my questions and show me what needed to be done. His assistant Allison is also great. Blair in the office staff was accommodating and helpful. While I hope to never need another root canal, I would go back to see Dr. Coe again if needed.

I went to Dr Bell to repair a root canal done by another dentist. Both he and his staff were wonderful! He answered all my questions and after the procedure checked up on me to make sure everything was fine. They definitely made me comfortable and at ease. I highly recommend them.

I was very lucky to have been referred to Dr. Phillip Bell for root canal on a tooth that had been giving me excruciating pain for weeks. I was extremely anxious and nervous - but they were very warm and understanding. One hour in his care and the pain was gone. It was a very quick and painless experience and I cannot thank Dr. Bell and his team enough for helping me through a very painful and difficult time. Thank you all for the excellent and compassionate care.

For having to get a root canal, this was a very pleasant experience. Dr. Bell is friendly, and knows how to give shots without pain. The whole experience was great. Didnt even have to fill pain medication prescriptions! If I ever need another one, I will go back to South Charlotte Endodontics and Dr. Bell..

What a great experience with Dr. Bell and team. His staff was warm and professional and Dr. Bell was caring with a great sense of humor. He explained the procedure as he went through it and put me at complete ease. I don’t know who can say a root canal is fun but I actually enjoyed my appointment. Everything about this practice is exceptional! Dr. Bell is patient and explains everything in a way that is understandable and eases your mind. He gave me his personal cell phone and checked in on me the day after my root canal retreatment! He goes above and beyond to care for his patients before, during and after the procedure. The rest of staff is equally as caring and helpful with insurance, scheduling, etc. I highly recommend this practice.

FANTASTIC ! Dr. Bell and team are super. From the moment you decide to book appointment - until your procedure is done. Communication with me was great, made sure i understood what he was doing and why. He was nothing but top notch, very personable, and actually seems to enjoy his work and his team. I was impressed how Dr. Haglund took my emergency call on Sunday morning, without ever seeing or meeting me. He was very compassionate and caring and assured me he would help with my painful, badly infected tooth. Early the next day I received a call from his South Charlotte Endodonics office and they squeezed me in to see his wonderful associate, Dr. Bell. Everyone was very professional and kind and Dr. Bell thoroughly cleaned & treated my tooth. I cant thank them enough and highly recommend them!

1. Hygiene - The place is clean (in a literal and in a fashion sense! lol)2. Staff - Friendly and professional. I felt welcome as soon as I entered the front door.3. Dr Bell - He was very friendly and did not waste my time. I had a quick visit with timely follow up. He did not pressure me into making a rushed decision and was thorough in his explanations (of my options and my problem.)4. They also have a 3D CT machine, that could save you a trip to the ER (for diagnostics if needed)

I cant say enough good things about Dr. Biggerstaff and his team. I was referred to them by my dentist for an infection on an old root canal. They presented me with all of my options and didnt try to push me one way or another. When we began the treatment to try and save my tooth they were so kind and caring the whole way through - always wanting to make sure I was comfortable and not in any pain. Im also a big baby when it comes to needles in my mouth and his assistant offered to hold my hand each time I had to have one - I was sat through a total of 3 procedures to try and save my tooth so it was a lot of needles! Dr. Biggerstaff texted me to make sure I was doing OK after each one and was available on nights and weekends if I was having issues or needed a Rx called in. Theyre an awesome practice and I would recommend them to anyone!

Dr. Bell is great. I haven’t been to a dentist in 9 years. Everyone in the office is professional and very nice. I would recommend to anyone who needs a root canal.

Incredible staff--everyone from front office to Dr. Bell! Every single person was so kind, efficient, helpful. Dr. Bell was relaxed enough to ease tension, but amazing diligent & professional: he explained each step of the procedure & what he saw on x-rays... even texting to follow-up to see how I was doing! WONDERFUL bedside-manner. Highly recommended. I experienced NO pain during or after.

Maybe the most pleasurable dental experience I have ever had. Dr Bell and his staff were nothing but professional throughout my 3 visits needed for my root canal. The procedure was done efficiently with great precision and no post-procedure pain.Nothing against me regular dentist, but if Dr Bell were a regular dentist practice, he and his team would be my preferred dentist.

They go about their business, yet remain friendly and personable throughout to make it as pleasant as possible. Ive had root canals on two separate occasions, and both have gone very well. Each time Dr. Bell even sent a text message the next day just to check on me.

Dr. Bell and his staff were fantastic! I cant imagine anything they could have done to make a root canal more comfortable. They even asked if I wanted to change the music. They explained everything they were doing and kept updating me on how long things would take. The follow up appointment with my regular dentist was less pleasant then my root canal here (which is not a slight to my regular dentist, but a testament to Dr. Bell). I had a 7am appointment and was out the door just after 8am. Have not had any discomfort in the tooth since.

UPDATE: 12/5/18I’d like to come back and share how things were handled after my review was posted. I’m happy to say that the office manager showed tremendous character in taking responsibility for her staff member who had behaved so dismally that morning. She spent close to an hour on the phone with me in the evening, and we were able to come to an amicable solution. I agreed to go for a consultation the following day, I must say I was treated respectfully, without animosity, and made to feel that they were genuine in their desire to make amends. I agreed to go through them with an urgently necessary root canal. The communication throughout was exceptional, pain was not an issue despite my concerns and apprehensions. That evening and this morning the dentist went above and beyond by texting to be sure I was not having any issues. I also appreciate he was willing to read up and be informed and not condescending concerning my CHF and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome issues. Overall, an experience that soured off the bat was redeemed. We will continue to work with SCE for future endodontic needs. Very much appreciate the character shown overall.As a patient dealing with the imminent consequences of an abscessed tooth that is confirmed by ER visit, I am disgusted and dismayed that people in my situation are faced with zero viable options. I am classified disabled due to complex medical issues from a genetic disease, and because of my husband’s income I am ineligible for any assistance. We also pay out-of-pocket for ALL medical expenses. We do not currently have the luxury of laying out $1500. We asked for payment arrangement but we’re tur down because these people only do CareCredit. Unfortunately, due to being unable to work (and I am NOT a freeloader, overwork for 20+ years is part of what caused my health issues) I am unable to accept applying for another credit card. These people, specifically Roxanne, only offered I go to the ER and they will help. I explained I’ve already gone to ER and they told me to find an endodontist to repair the toot. Lovely. Nothing more discouraging than to be given the run-around when you have congestive heart failure and you have a confirmed dental infection that will likely cause more heart damage if left untreated. Despicable.
