Dr. McMurtry has revised tongue and lip ties for both our boys and we wouldn’t imagine going anywhere else. He is great to work with, very knowledgeable and very caring. The procedure is very quick and he is very good about explaining everything and expectations. His staff is amazing as well! They even provide you with a list of providers to assist with follow up care to ensure you have the most success. We really just couldn’t imagine working with anyone else.

Always a fun time. Yes its a dentist BUT the staff is great and extremely confident and friendly. Friendly is the key word. Lots of good dentists out there.They make you fell like family. Had a little emergency this morning. They found time for me. Thats what you do for family.

I had two teeth repaired and filled today. I had a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and professional. Dr. Brain is very friendly and professional. He even cared about how I was feeling and asked about my weekend. That means a lot to me. I felt no pain while getting my teeth repaired. Dr. Brain did a wonderful job. I have made appointments for my entire family today. I didnt have any insurance issues. My insurance was expected, but I had to pay a remanding balance which was affordable. I am happy I found this dentist. I rate them a 5.

My daughter received a tongue and lip tie revision at 2 months of age. Dr McMurtry was very professional and kind. He spoke to me like a person and explained the procedure, and post op stretches very clearly. This helped any nerves I had about the revision. When my daughter became fussy, he spoke to her to try to calm her. His staff were all very kind and helpful as well. I highly recommend.

The staff was super sweet. They fit us in very quickly which we are so grateful for. Dr. McMurtry was very personable, funny, compassionate and thorough. As difficult as it was watching our little baby go through this (tie release) for a second time (first time was with someone else), Dr.McMurtry took very good care of her and did an excellent job. This is the 2nd time we’ve received outstanding care from Dr McMurtry and his staff. Our son’s lip and tongue ties were repaired 2.5 years ago and healed beautifully, we went on to breastfeed for 2 years, and today on 5/10, we had our 10week old daughter’s tongue and lip ties diagnosed correctly and repaired! At birth, she was checked by hospital pediatricians and we were told she had no ties. Again, Dr McMurtry went above and beyond with exceptional care and explained everything to us on how to properly care for the lasered areas and treated us like family. We are so grateful for him and his staff for helping our children! We have and will continue to recommend him to our friends and family who have potential tongue/lip ties issues!

Great with the procedure of the tounge tie. Not a good bedside manner. Lazy and horrible with insurance. They are not on any networks and lie about getting per-approval for your insurance to get reimbursed.

We had a great experience getting our little boys ties revised! Dr Mcmurtary’s skills are outstanding! As a pediatric chiropractor, we see lots of babies with ties and revisions and dr Mcmurtary’s patients get great releases! I appreciated my experience from the mothers point of view, especially when doc told me “remember you are not doing this to your son, you are doing it FOR him”. Very professional. The staff are kind and welcoming. Dr. McMurtry explains the whole process in detail. The lip and tongue procedure is very quick. But please do the exercises he gives you lol....I highly recommend him. I drove an hour and half for him to treat us.

Dr. Ms staff is extremely polite and customer service oriented and our initial visit for a frenectomy procedure went well. I am very disappointed with our follow-up however. This has been complicated by the COVID-19 situation which made it necessary to hold the folow-up by phone. Dr. M. suggested that we stopped our exercises too soon and probably werent doing them correctly, even though weve had no bleeding and no signs of pain or reattachment. this is all conjecture since he hasnt been able to examine our sons mouth of course. He did not respond when we sent photos for him to review. He did not offer any constructive suggestions or explanation as to why we have seen little improvement in our sons breastfeeding, despite 10 straight days of very consistent follow-up care including lactation support. This made an already difficult and stressful experience even more frustrating. We are doing our best to continue follow-up but are disappointed not to see improvement fully 2 weeks after the procedure.

I have now taken both of my children to see Dr McMurtry and I am so grateful for how hes been able to help them! The entire staff is super friendly and helpful and his services have helped my children and me greatly! I would highly recommend him to anyone who suspects that their children have lip and/or tongue tie!

Great local Doctor! Robin and the rest of the staff are so friendly and welcoming. They are fantastic with our 2 small children-they actually love going to the dentist now! His techniques and equipment are state of the art and he always takes extra time to answer all of our questions and give us all of the options for our care plan.

Dr. McMurtry is very competent, knowledgeable, and communicates well with his patients. You can tell he genuinely cares about you. The thing I love most about his work is how comfortable I am while he is working on my teeth. The laser technology he uses and other equipment make it the easiest, fastest, and most pain free dental work experience Ive ever had. There was virtually no time needed at all for recovery, which means I could go to the dentist and then go right back to work or eat whatever I wanted. The staff is great too!

Dr. Brian McMurtry knows his stuff. Very efficient and pain free procedures. I had a molar extracted and a root canal, crown, and filling beside that tooth done. I was out of there in 2.5 hours and not because he rushed but because he is good at what he does. My teeth look great and the day after I am experiencing zero pain with a small dose of ibuprofen. Great experience and I would recommend him to anyone.

I took my 7-month old for a tongue-tie and upper lip-tie revision. We waited almost no time in the waiting room. Dr. McMurtry and his entire staff were exceptional. They were patient with answering questions, and they truly seemed to have my sons best interest at heart. Luckily, we are only about 50 minutes away, but I would recommend him for anyone within a 2-3 hour radius!!

Dr. McMurtry is the best dentist in Charlotte hands down. He and his entire staff are friendly and meticulous, and I have never felt like they are just out to make money on me. Although they are busy, I have never waited longer than 5 minutes. They are great at scheduling, appointment reminders, and follow ups. I have had NIGHTMARE experiences with other dentists and my orthodontist of 10 years, but now I dont dread seeing the dentist. This is a great practice. I am so happy I found it. My whole family, and my roommate, and her whole family see him. Hes great!

Our newborn had a tongue tie and lip tie and was not able to latch appropriately. This prevented proper weight gain. We were referred to Dr. McMurtry by our lactation consultant. Dr. McMurtry did an excellent job showing us and explaining to us the impact of our childs ties. The procedure was quick and effective immediately. Within hours our baby was feeding better. The child is now at optimal weight and continues to feed well. I give Dr. McMurtry my highest recommendation. Thanks Doc!

I took my 20 month old and my 9 year old to Dr. McMurtry expecting both of them to have tongue ties released. He only recommended my 20 month old needed the procedure. He did suggest my 9 year old might need a lip tie released, but for now the orthodontia care she is receiving might be enough to keep her teeth from separating. He suggested a wait and see approach saying that is what hed do if it was one of his children. This gave me great confidence that he wasnt in it for the money. He could have easily convinced me to have both of my children taken care of, but he didnt. Instead, he was professional. His entire staff was great. So thankful for them.

Today was my first visit and let me tell you, it was great. The hygienists are nice and so is the doctor. He will talk to you, not at you. All the other dentists Ive been to, the only way to see the doctor is when you have a root canal or something.

This was my first visit to Mr. McMurtrys office and I had a wonderful experience. I went in for a cleaning and my teeth are very sensitive and it was totally pain-free. He discussed a tongue tie procedure with me, thinking that it would help my neck and shoulder tension issues. I went ahead with the procedure and couldnt be happier. I have no pain or tension and the procedure was basically pain-free and recovery has not been hard. So happy that he discussed it and very pleased with the results. All of the office staff are wonderful and he is very knowledgeable and caring. My twin 2 year olds also went in for their first visit and they have talked about Dr. Brian all week. Wonderful office and I would highly recommend to anyone!

We were recommended to Dr McMurtry by our lactation consultant when our son was born and I’m so thankful for the referral! My son had a lip and tongue tie and while nursing was going “ok” there were side effects of the bad latch that made us decide to get an evaluation done.From the first phone call Dr McMurty’s staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. After scheduling I was sent a very thorough email describing office procedure and facts. The few questions I had were promptly answered.Upon arriving to the office we were greeted warmly and taken to an exam room quickly. The assistant and Dr McMurtry were both kind and helped us feel at ease. Dr McMurtry was extremely thorough and honest in his evaluation and explanations of the procedure and follow up care. He is obviously passionate and an expert in his field. He was also very gentle in his handling of my baby.The procedure itself went quickly and smoothly. As a parent it’s very hard to leave your baby in a stranger’s hands, even briefly, when you know they’ll be uncomfortable, but we felt very confident in Dr McMurtry’s care. When we came in the room after the procedure his assistant was very sweetly holding and tenderly calming my son. It was evident that she is very caring towards small children and certainly gave an even greater sense of relief that even though he was upset, he was in very good hands.Since the procedure my son has been nursing better and having less latch related issues. I’m so glad we had the procedure done and especially glad to have had Dr McMurtry and his staff caring for my son!
