I can not make this up,but I did not want to leave once my procedure was done due to the friendly atmosphere. My case was a unique one and the staff did everything plus some to make sure that I was comfortable and had all the tools I needed once I left. I personally want to thank the staff here for helping me accomplish a lifetime goal of mine.

Very poor business practices. We canceled 1 appt a month in advance and they said we could never be seen there again. Fine with us. Very poor Covid-19 safeguards. Packed waiting room and much of staff not wearing masks. Will not go back. Went for consultation and they asked me what braces I had picked out. I pointed out that we were there for a consultation only, and she looked a little unsettled, like that was just absolutely the wrong answer. Money grabbers. Watch out.

I was really worried that I was not going to be able to find anyone willing to help my daughter with her teeth issues in addition to her complicated medical history. But The Happy Tooth did and they have done a wonderful job! The whole staff is extremely friendly and helpful! I have never had a problem with any staff member there. Making appointments is not a problem, but if you have to reschedule it can be tricky because of course the schedule fills up and there are very few openings on short notice. I would recommend this orthodontist a million times over they are fantastic!!!

The staff at The Happy Tooth are always friendly, and they know what they are doing! Ive been pleased with my Invisalign progress so far, and the trays are easy to use. The appointments usually dont take very long as well, and that is something that I value as a college student.

I will never return. I was literally in tears at the frustration from dealing with Dr. Garcia. I went for a consult to have a simple procedure done, and Dr. Garcia wrote up a treatment plan suggesting that I have cosmetic bonding done and was I provided an estimate. No problem I thought. Boy was I wrong. I arrive to have the treatment done, and everything changed the day of. I literally was being prepped for the procedure when the estimate totally changed. This man literally advised me to take a picture of a picture on his computer and reach out to my orthodontist to figure out what he wants him to do. How unprofessional, and he decided that he didnt want to do the minor work because I wasnt understanding him. In addition, my braces had been removed in anticipation of him doing the procedure. I was in tears but he shrugged it off, and was overall extremely rude. I walked out after he mentioned that he was going to take some of my tooth away (the actual procedure was supposed to be cosmetic bonding to add to the tooth). He would constantly over talk me, ignore me, and stated multiple times that he has been doing this 15+ years. Dr. Garcia really needs to humble himself, and listen to his patient. I will never return to this office! Worst experience ever. If you like your teeth run dont walk far away from this place.

Very poor customer service, particularly from waiting room/front desk staff.A simple voicemail, email, or text couldve easily conveyed information they waited to provide until I reached the office b/c they couldnt reach me. I was then asked to reschedule my appointment after 15 minutes trying to resolve an insurance issue in the lobby (w/ no offer of help from staff). In the past Ive waited up to 30 minutes just to be seen w/o any attempt to reschedule or check with me.Will not visit again.

I had an appt with this office on 2/11/20. Mr. Orlando was my ortho assistant and he was very cool, down to earth and talked to me about schooling n telling me about my brackets n stuff. So I love coming here n seeing him. We even chose a cool color together for my rubberbands. Thanks Mr Orlando. See ya next month!!!

By far one of the best orthodontic care i have ever had! & Im a tough critic! but Dr Nay Is AMAZING & friendly and knowledgeable. Love how their finance team helped me make a reasonable payment plan that worked well for me financially as well because my insurance didnt cover what i needed they didnt turn me away and gave me options.

We always have a great experience when we visit. We live a cpl hrs away but its worth the trip. My son is called back right away and they are finished with him right away. No sitting around waiting forever..The staff is very helpful and very nice. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for Orthodontic care.

Just recently relocated here from South Florida and needed a dentist. Im usually leery of consortia like The Happy Tooth (I had a bad experience with Gentle Dental of South Florida). Im happy to say that The Happy Tooth surpassed my hopes. Im quite satisfied with the professional care being provided by Dr. Jennifer Howard and the entire staff at The Happy Tooth.The outside of the building is (as mentioned in other reviews) outdated and I had a bit of difficulty figuring out which staircase accessed the dental office. However, once inside, the appointment went off without a hitch. I was in and out in 45 minutes (including wait time, first time paperwork, and x-rays). Everyone was friendly and professional. I enjoyed my experience and will not only be a repeat patient, but would recommend The Happy Tooth to anyone.

Just moved here from New England and needed a new dentist. Found a good one here and Im extremely happy with the professional care being provided by Dr. Jennifer Howard and the entire staff at The Happy Tooth. The front office is extremely efficient and helpful with Dental Plans and Insurance coverage for procedures and Dr. Howard went above & beyond to accommodate me on an emergency crown fix issue in a time frame that was pleasantly fast and great-fully appreciated within my insane business schedule

They dont fully disclose the treatment plan. Also they dont tell you that you have a balance from what the insurance carriers. didnt pay until over a year later and has now stopped the treatment all together. Because I have to come up with another $500.00. Ive tried to call billing to see about payment arrangements and no one answers so I have to leave a message. No one calls me back. I wish I could get a refund and go somewhere else. The Durham office is even worse. They should call it the sad tooth.

My family and I have been going to the Happy Tooth for our dental care for several years, and I cant say enough good things about them. All of their staff are warm and friendly, the hygienists are marvelous, and Dr. Howard is lovely. If youre looking for quality dental care, there really is only one place to go if youre in the Chapel Hill area, and thats The Happy Tooth!I also have to praise the orthodontic side -- my sister and I got our braces on around the same time in July 2011, and its been a pleasure ever since, working with the orthodontists and hygienists across the way. They are all so pleasant and always know how to make you smile. Again, if youre looking for an orthodonist, I have to recommend The Happy Tooth again!

I only recently started going to the Happy Tooth, but so far so good. The staff is very helpful and thorough. They take the time to explain procedures to you and give great advice on dental hygiene. I did not have to wait at all even though I arrived early. That said, the office has a somewhat strict policy on lateness, so be on time for your appointment.

I went to the Happy Tooth Orthodontics after recommended by one of my friends. Its quite convenient to find the place. And my appointment was scheduled with Dr. Jennifer Howard.The process went smoothly, I even didnt wait too long before the initial check up. The nurse was nice and Dr. Howard was very efficient to fix my problem. Shes even patient to give me more advice regarding my questions. Although Id rather everyone have happy teeth and dont be bothered by any problems, just in case, Id recommend The Happy Tooth as well. And actually I did. ; >

I had my new patient visit today. They got me in quickly and did an excellent job cleaning my teeth. Everyone was very friendly, and the dentist was accommodating and willing to help me look into snore-reduction mouth pieces. I highly recommend them based on my experience today.

My visit went off without a hitch. Staff was friendly and professional. Dentists and assistants seemed competent and experienced. No problems or lingering effects as of today with the two fillings put in.Only complaint would be too many kids in the waiting room (ended up catching a cold that day), but with a name like The Happy Tooth I should have seen that one coming.

Ive been a patient at this dental office for about 4 years. The staff is nice, professional, and knowledgeable. Wait times have always been short in the mornings. Ive waited 20 minutes or less when Ive had an afternoon appointment. The office building exterior looks old and unattractive, but the dental clinic looks updated, with modern equipment. There are TVs in each room, and they always offer me the remote control. I havent been offered any unwanted services like cosmetic dentistry, and they have been understanding when Ive declined Xrays, so I think the services they provide are very professional and not financially-driven. Overall I have been quite satisfied.

In the middle of a filling, my dentist left for the next patient. I was told there was an emergency, which I found out was not true. It was simply the next patience. I ended up leaving with my procedure incomplete.

I couldnt be happier, and extremely grateful to her, andher staff. In ONE HOUR, she artistically created my new TOOTH!!! Unbelievable!!! I am a very Happy Customer. My grandson, who I had custody of for the past 10 years, also got treated at Happy Tooth, and had braces for a couple of years. I went to Happy Tooth two years ago and had some cavities filled. They claimed I had 4 more that I needed filled later/soon. My experience was kind of strange and they did a poor job smoothing the fillings so that my teeth would fit together correctly when I closed my mouth, so I decided to hold off.I finally went somewhere else (2 years later) and now have only 3 cavities, which are minor. Thus, either my teeth can naturally repair cavities, or they were trying to rip me off!

We loved the staff and care we received at the Happy Tooth. As a parent, I was especially pleased with both the attention my child received (even when she needed fillings) and the information I received as the parent. Id highly recommend this office.

I have been to many dentists over the years depending on where I lived in and around the Triangle. I have good experiences ranges from horrific to fantastic. My last experience at the practice in Chapel Hill was very poor and I was looking for a new dentists that was In Network for my state healthy plan. I found The Happy Tooth after quite a bit of searching and could not be happier. When I called to make an appointment they scheduled me for the same week and accommodated my busy schedule. When I arrived, I was greeted immediately, and my insurance information was processed. This was the first dentist Ive ever been to that provided me a print out with specific details of my insurance coverage and how it applied to their practice. This was very helpful and I was extremely happy they provided this prior to my examination. Other dentists have tried to push X Rays and services that werent covered and never gave me all the information. This place is very informative and goes above and beyond to help. They also called my old dentist to get my records and X Rays and adjusted the appointment to match the information they received. The dentist is amazing and very kind. Her bedside manner is fabulous and all the hygienists are gentle and caring as well. After my check up, I noticed an odd jagged edge on my front tooth. I hadnt noticed it before so I made an appointment to go back and have it looked at. I was worried I had chipped it. They scheduled me right away and I was in and out in 10 mins. It turned out the tooth was not chipped but they did file it down to make me feel better and didnt charge me anything for the procedure. I am happy to have found such a comfortable and quality new dentist. I have been recommending them to everyone I know.

I went today for the first time to have my teeth cleaned. Everyone was very nice and I was sent home with a terrific gift basket of dental supplies! I do not have good teeth and was expecting problems to be found, but things are OK for now. What a relief! I will be a patient of Dr Howard.

I have never seen such bad customer service anywhere. Find any other orthodontist in Durham. We had the worst experience with the office manager Michelle and when asked to speak to a supervisor she hung up on me. Then when I called back to ask to speak with her supervisor I was given the run around and no return phone call. Very disappointed and will be voicing my experience on any outlet available.

I was hesitant at first after seeing all the horrendous reviews on Facebook and online but I thought might as well give it a chance.SOOOOO SORRY I DID!!!! The staff here either just doesnt care of they are just good at pretending they dont care! Our pediatric dentist sent us here for my son and we made sure to let their dentist hear the entire recording. OH yes, I said Recording! I recorded the ENTIRE visit! All the huffing and puffing by the secretaries when they had to do their job, the orthodontist and his nasty behavior. When I tried to address the issues with the secretary, about the orthodontists behavior, her exact reply was a large sigh, an eye roll, and We will have someone call you if it is that big of a deal! ARE YOU SERIOUS? Oh no, please dont trouble yourself, its only MY CHILD!!!!! I was just so disgusted, no one ever called and to beat that, no one ever even called to set up my childs braces appointment! LIKE THEY KNEW We were NOT coming back! Now I understand all the terrible reviews. I will NEVER recommend anyone to EVER bring their child here! Just DO NOT DO IT! Go anywhere else! Just do NOT go there!!!!!!!! I feel bad for any child that has to deal with this place!

This is one of the worst places to go. When I was there I waited almost two hours to be seen by the doctor.. (mind you I had been having serve tooth pain). When the doctor finally did come in he was very rude. HE actually asked me why I had come to his office (since I had been at another office 6 months ago) like I was his problem now not in the comforting way, he didnt even say hello or introduce himself, he talked behind me and not to face about my current issues, he told me I needed two root canals and did not offer any type of pain medication (the pain was keeping me up all night, and I had explained that too him) and when he was done I was very upset (started crying) he did nothing to comfort or to help me out (again made me feel like I was pathetic almost). He did not talk to me about a plan of action for my teeth besides sending me to a root canal doctor.. I had to be the one to make a plan of action on how to get the rest of my teeth fixed. I even called back to the office to explain that I was very upset with my service and I was told he would call me to talk about it BUT never received a phone call. I was seen by Dr. Ramos at the chapel hill location. This place has no idea how to treat patients. I called to cancel one appointment because my root canal Dr. needed to do more work and they didnt even know I was getting work done.. I called again to get my records to go to another office and cancel my appointment; they charged me 50$ because I had missed the 24 hour notice by 40 minutes. It is funny because when I called to cancel my first appointment (since I needed more work done on my root canal) I was only calling 12 hours before my appointment and they said nothing about charging me. If I could give this place zero stars I would.

If I could post zero stars, I would. Ive had an incredibly horrible experience here. Look out for front desk staff who do not seem to care at all about customers or respect their time. I made an appointment a month ago for a simple cleaning. Upon arriving for my first appointment, I was told that they were not able to verify my insurance and they would have to reschedule. I called Delta Dental directly in front of them that day, gave Happy Tooth my subscriber ID right then and there, and they rebooked me. Just went again for my rescheduled cleaning appointment and they gave me the same excuse, told me theyd tried to call me a number of times, and asked to rebook for a second time. I have absolutely no recent voicemails from this provider - other than two automated voicemails reminding me of my appointment today. I called Delta Dental and they have no record of this provider calling to check on my insurance. Seems like a sketchy operation, and me and my partner will not be coming back. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere!!!! If its this difficult to actually get the service, I cant even imagine payment/etc.
