My husband had his first visit to Dr. Quaranta whom I had chosen to use years ago. As hesitant as hubby was to go to any doctor, he actually really liked the professional staff from the doctor to the front desk. He liked how Dr. Q communicated clearly to him. The lab Sonoran Desert Eye Care uses is the only real issue I have. The lab does not stand behind their products. I have a lens that the lamination of the lens has separated just a couple of months passed the first year of use and they will not replace it. I was given two options given by the staff, come in for an eye exam and get new glasses or do nothing…I elected to go elsewhere. I would suggest you do the same…

Upon having a drastic change in my eye sight, it was determined that I could no longer put off cataract surgery. Dr. Kian and his staff were very professional throughout the appointments scheduled before, during, and after the surgery. They explained in detail what the procedures were, answering any questions I had, and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and that all my needs were met. So many times, offices schedule the appointments too close together; this office was one of the few in which there was not any delay time. Im excited to have found this place!When I first walked into Sonoran Desert Eye Center I was greeted by a friendly staff member who was smiling and happy. She handed me a clipboard with a bunch of forms to fill out, which I completed and handed to a different lady at the front desk who was also super friendly. Shortly after that I was greeted by Dr. Quaranta, who was extremely nice.Dr. Quaranta took me to one of the exam room and performed a VERY thorough exam snd I felt his equipment was modern and it almost felt new. You know how sometimes when you go to the eye doctor and they try the different lenses and its hard to pick one? Not here, there was a clear difference between the lenses and I feel confident he got the prescription right. He was also super knowledgeable and explained everything. I like doctors who will take the time to explain things.Dr. Quarantas assistant was also super awesome. She also took the time to explain everything to me and pointed different parts of the eye. I learned that the optic nerve is composed of a disc and a cup, so now Ill be able to win trivia night!The staff was definitely doing their part to stop the spread of covid 19 including wiping everything down, sanitizing equipment and wearing masks. Plus they had the best smelling hand sanitizer ever.The optician Katie was so patient with me while I tried on like 100 different pairs of glasses and we wound up finding a pair that I liked that wasnt too badly priced. Cant wait for them to come in! She was super knowledgeable and wasnt afraid to share her opinion, which I really liked.

I was very impressed with the services I received at Sonoran Desert Eye Center. The doctors are very caring and knowledgeable. They gave the most thorough eye exam I have ever had. They have special equipment that really evaluates the health of your eyes. The staff were very helpful and caring. They have a huge selection of quality eyeware. They handled our insurance paperwork without any problems. I would highly recommend them.

Great Experience, I now have 20/20 Vision!Dr. Scott was very knowledgeable and explained what he found with my eyes in terms I could easily understand. I have never been able to see the bottom line on the eye test without straining my eyes. Happy to say that now I can! The staff was very nice and helpful.

Excellent visit with Dr. So I decided to purchase new lenses at this facility. Couldnt be happier! Working much better than previous (discount) purchases and Sonorans prices were very competitive

Based on my experience, the people at Sonoran offer great customer service and treat people with respect. They have also been more than fair in terms of pricing and willingness to accommodate. The environment is well-maintained and welcoming. Overall I have had no issues with Sonoran, and I would certainly recommend them for any of your eye needs.

I dont usually leave reviews but I had my exam recently and decided in the spirit of Christmas...I have been going to this eye Dr. for many years now and cant believe there might be some bad reviews. this place is awesome! The staff has always been courteous and kind and willing to help me with all my needs. I have gotten several pairs of glasses there, and they are always willing to try to meet my budget. They have ALOT of frames to choose from. The gals that help in the optical always spend a lot of time helping pick the right frame for my face shape. They also helped explain my insurance. Over the years, the staff has been fabulous at fixing any problems I have had with my glasses. I have had to wait to be seen a few times but I think thats because the Dr talks a little too much, he is so friendly. The girls in the back that help the Dr are great too. I feel like they know their stuff. They trouble shoot contacts so well, and I have hard eyes.I had a eye infection once and they just got me in that day. The Dr gave me some drops and it cleared up in just a few days.I recommended this office to my family and friends. And they love them too.

An amazing experience. I have been a contact wearer for over 35 years and this is the best care I received. I moved to Arizona 3 years ago and needed to find a new eye doctor. I was used to small town, personalized care. I was having multiple issues with my eyes and my contacts. Dr. Quaranta spent time listening to my frustrations and concerns to help find the right product for me. It took multiple visits which were all included with the initial exam and purchase of my contacts. He ended up getting a replacement pair of contacts within the first month at no cost to me because the first ones werent quite right. I was ready to give up but he was willing to stick with me until I found a product that worked well. I am so glad that he did. I now have contacts that give me the far vision that I need when driving or hiking and I just got a pair of progressive lenses for when I am working in the evening at the computer. Many people recommend going to a big box store because their prices are cheaper. I can tell you that my experience is the EXACT opposite. Dr. Quaranta stands behind his work and is not happy until you are happy. He checked my eyes multiple times to see if he could better near vision with my contacts without losing far vision (I guess I need a new pair of 20 year old eyes). If I would have gone anywhere else, I would have been met with a frustrated doctor and multiple office visits. He and his office staff are amazing and go out of their way to assist the patient. If you are looking for individual personalized care, you will find it with Dr. Quaranta.

Dr. Stott fitted me with the most comfortable contact lenses Ive had in a long time. Add to that, I see better than I have in a long time. Unless my new contact lenses explode or do something unexpected, Im very happy.

Customer service just ok. Asked for information about my eyes to be emailed, told yes, no email. Twice charged more for my glasses instead of using the correct insurance information. Pushed to buy new frames instead of using the 2 year frames I really liked. Said no and both the young lady putting in my lens order and the doctor were visibly not happy with my response. The doctor does a very complete eye exam. But looking for a more professional office in terms of solid customer service where they SMILE and act like they really are happy to see you.After reading my review, the eye doctor called me. He asked for feedback about what went wrong during my visit to his office. The doctor did say that my feedback was very valuable. Hopefully they will put what I shared into action especially after reading other reviews that had some of the same experiences.The front desk has been very friendly, helpful and has even called me several times about my new lenses and refunded my overcharge. If this is the way I will experience future appointments, I am confident that I will be very happy.

I have to say one of the Best Drs I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. He is truly a wonderful person and cares about what is going on with you. He is trying everything he can to help with my vision, I have a lot going on but he has faith he can fix it.!! I can honestly say he will try everything he can to figure out the problem. Have been going to SDEC for years now! Dr. Q was the first one to identify the retina tear I had, and from there I was able to receive the proper treatment my eyes deserved. Who knows what would have happened down the line if I hadnt seen Dr. Q and kept going to my old doctor!! Love the office staff and selection on frames.

I have been seeing Dr. Quaranta for 9 years. He is hands down the best eye doctor I have ever had. He is the only one who has pointed out my lattice degeneration. My daughter recently scratched my eye. I called the office upset. Staff got me in quickly and Dr. Q was compassionate and thorough. He was cautious about my out of pocket expenses as well. Dont let the negative reviews throw you off. Our eyes are important and you want someone thorough and passionate about eye care. Dr Quaranta is your guy.

Maybe my expectations of getting better service from a home town eye glass place over a big box store was too high. I went to Sonoran Eye Center thinking I would have a more personal experience getting what I needed while my failing eyes get worse. First, I got some computer reading glasses, the frames broke in less than a day, they replaced them free of charge (more waiting). I then got a pair of progressive sunglasses for driving. They turned out okay, however each time I dealt with a different person, and was told different things. My last experience, I went in and thoroughly explained that I have a pair of computer reading glasses from your store, I have a pair of sunglasses from your store, what I want is a pair of glasses I can wear all the time (progressive) only with a smaller reading zone. Simple enough right? Well no, the lenses were completely wrong, scratched, and poorly made, and when it came time to pick them up and remedy the problem, I may as well have been dealing with a big box store. If I am just going to be a number, and not listened to by the staff, where they make mistakes and try to blame it on our communication, when it was clearly them who was not paying a bit of attention, Ill go elsewhere. Let me be clear, the Dr. is nice and seems to be thorough, however he acted like it was the first time he had seen me, and it wasnt. They have one, what I would call competent Optician who you probably wont get because they are usually busy in the lab.I recommend you NOT waste your time. Its not a personal boutique center. Its a poorly managed, cant complete with online, big box, or nationwide retailers shop. No personal service what so ever.Less than one star.EDIT: Dr. Quaranta responded directly to my warranted concerns. He responds by saying he is sorry I was not satisfied, not sorry his staff was deficient. Also you will notice in his explanation, he concurs there was an issue with the original order AND the tint. Two problems that were not addressed. I would contact you directly if you were not going to deflect that I did something to exacerbate your weak service.As I explained, the problem is not the Dr. its the consistency, professionalism, and thoroughness of the staff.

Worst doctor visit Ive ever experienced. Waited 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment to be seen by the doctor. When he finally showed up, he didnt even apologize for the wait and instead started yelling at his staff right in front of me. Very awkward and unprofessional. I was already running late because of this but then he talked my ear off for about 10 more minutes and I didnt know how to politely tell him that Im already late to get back to work. The examination was fine but I will never return. Learn to respect people if youre going to run a business!

Im just very grateful for you Dr. Q. For years I searched for a way of seeing in three different areas, one right after another. Im holding a piece of paper in my hand where there is information I need. Im driving a car and need to see street signs and the road, Im looking at my dashboard, all of this within seconds of each other and it was so difficult to switch from one to the other and be safe and be able to see clearly. Not a problem anymore. You figured out a prescription that works perfectly. It took a lot of time, effort and patience on your part and besides that Im a perfectionist so it had to really be right. I have been to many other eye docs and was so frustrated because nothing worked. I just wish I would have gotten to you sooner so you could perform your magic.

Very good experience. Beautiful office setting and amazing staff. The doctor took the time to explain everything in detail and came up with a care plan and follow up. He really cares about his patients. Great experience. I have been in AZ for 12 years and I have finally found my eye doctor.

Ive been coming to Sonoran Desert Eye Center for the past 4 years, and have always found Dr. Quaranta and staff to be fantastic. Dr. Quarantas passion and genuine care he gives his patients is 5 star! He listens and always makes sure youre 100% satisfied. Until coming to Sonoran, I wasnt able to wear contact lenses due to various issues. Dr. Quaranta (and his staff) persisted until a solution was found and lenses worked. I appreciate the care, time, knowledge, and quality service.

Well, my girlfriend took me to the good Doc a year ago and he found I had some distortion in my left eye. After looking at it he recommended a great retina specialist who got my vision back to almost 20/20. Just so you all know i was almost BLIND in that left eye. It was so bad that I could not read anything out of it let alone see. The girls up front are very nice and know their products and if they dont know something the find the answer. I like the Doctor as he and I always work as a TEAM during my exams and he likes to fine tune my eyes as he gets near the end of the exam. I would and have recommended his office. I work at Lowes and have been in customer service for 20 years and know service when I see it.

I went here months ago, and Ive recommended them to 3 of my family members and they have all liked this place.However, one thing we all agreed on was that the front staff, receptionist etc, is quite unfriendly. Not necessarily rude, but certainly not friendly. Gave us all a pretty bad first impression, but the people that took me back are exceptional, and for that I recommend them. Just look past the front staff encounter.

I set an appointment online and it took over half an hour before the appointment actually started. That is unacceptable, they should not bite off more than they can chew. Other than that everything was fine.

Dr. Quaranta and his staff are excellent. They take great care of their patients. I have been to several eye doctors, but none of them spend the time and pay attention to details like Dr. Quaranta. I also love how he explains what is going on and answers questions thoroughly. I have been going there for over 10 years now and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Also, Christy (who helps with choosing eye glasses) is always cheerful and more than happy to help with choosing frames. She has always been very patient with me —even when I want to try every frame they have in the office so that I can find the perfect one. She also has a great eye for what looks good on me and I am always happy with my frames in the long run when she helps me choose them out.

I don’t typically review medical professionals, but we just took our family of six to see Dr Kyle Stott, and I couldn’t pass on the opportunity to rave about our experience. This office is top notch from start to finish. Scheduling was easy, and they were able to accommodate our crazy schedule. Clean office. Friendly staff. Dr Stott was more than amazing. He was patient, kind, educated, made our children feel important and comfortable with the process and examination. If you’re looking for an Optometrist, you definitely should go see Dr. Stott.

I havent had an eye exam in more than a decade but I decided to go in for a check up. I was very impressed with my experience! Dr. Stott was friendly and detailed in his evaluation. He explained everything to me and I learned a lot about the eye. The exam brought to my attention some slight visual changes. Im looking forward to my next visit. Thank you Dr. Stott!

We had a wonderful experience! Dr. Stott was very thorough and friendly. He helped me get the right prescription and he also addressed some dry eye issues I’ve been having for years. Other doctors blew it off, but Dr. Stott gave me some very helpful suggestions and my dry eyes have really improved. He is very concerned with overall eye health and gives a very thorough exam. I brought in my 4 boys for exams also and he was great working with kids. We all left very happy. (Well except my youngest who cried because he DIDN’T need glasses and wanted them . Lol) I would highly recommend this office! Great experience!

Honestly, I had been avoiding optometrists for years due to a past negative experience opting for opthamologists instead. After visitng Sonoran Desert Eye Center I could not have been more impressed. Excellent, quick, precise treatment, and friendly staff. Thank you, Ill be back!

Dr Q rocks. The *older* woman that helps you with the frames/lenses is awesome, been there a long time,very polite. Brown hair, bangs. But the turnover of everyone else is obvious. Younger girl who assists with frames/lenses never looks you in the eye never smiles. Looks miserable!!! Front desk ladies always look miserable. They overbook. Long wait. Push a overpriced dilation not covered by insurance when the original wore off just as quick. Big change needs to be in their prices on frames omg. My insurance covers frames up to $125 free. They dont have any frames affordable out on display. So when you say you cant pay extra and only want to use the $125 insurance covers for free frames, all if the sudden the pull out these boxes of cheaper affordable frames. Every time I visit. Why not just put them on display!! So people can look in their price range. Grr.

NopeNopeNopeNever again even tho it’s .03 milesfrom my house . I felt like I was bothering them when I checked in then I waited over an hour for my appt . I told them I had to return to work and requested to NOT have my eyes dilated but they did it anyway and didn’t give me temporary Sun glasses . I should not have driven back to work but had already taken over 2 hours off of work for the appt. The dr was continually interrupted during MY appt and he would have to start again. After I left my first 1 star review the dr called and asked me to remove it . Nope nope nopeEven worse , the prescription glasses were horribly wrong rendering them useless . Waste of time and money . Huge fail

My family has been patients of Dr. Quaranta for 8 years. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable about their products. Last month they exceeded my expectations, I was vacationing outside the country with my family when one of my contact lenses ripped and I didn’t have any extras. I thought it would be a longshot, but I left a message for Dr. Quaranta’s office on a Sunday. I got a very swift response back from the office manager who quickly emailed my prescription to me so an in-country optometrist could fill it. IMHO, she went above and beyond and deserves a raise. She saved my vacation and I’m very grateful. Without a replacement pair I couldn’t see and my vacation would have been ruined. Thank you Dr. Q and staff!

I stopped in with an emergency - my one year old had broken the side off of my glasses, with a vengeance! This wasnt a clean break; it was ugly. The place Id bought them (which WASNT Sonoran Desert Eye Center) had told me they were non repairable. And they were pretty blunt about it.But when I arrived at Sonoran Desert Eye Center, Mya gave me a broad smile and was happy and quick to help! She quickly realized I had a busy schedule and she offered to work on the glasses (replacing the temple piece with another one*) while I was doing other things. I took her up on the offer and after a short while, she texted me that shed been able to repair the glasses.Mya is just an absolutely amazing lady and I have to say Ill be returning for all of my future eyeglass needs. All the staff I saw and interacted with were super nice and friendly. I really cannot recommend them enough!* When Mya mentioned shed be using another temple piece on my glasses, I joked that Id PREFER it not to be pink or purple. She IMMEDIATELY came back saying shed planned on using a nice fuchsia color! :) I love when people have a good sense of humor!

My husband called they said they accepted Medicare. He made an appointment and went they told him he had to pay $45 to read the eye chart that it was not part of the exam but was required but Medicare does not pay it because its not Medical...Go figure another scam office trying to get people to pay for stuff that is beyond what they think is covered. They should tell people that before they get in their car and drive there....what a farce DO NOT GO THERE UNLESS THEY INFORM YOU BEFORE.

Sonoran Desert Eye really took care of me when I had him an emergency for contacts do to my keratoconus. I couldnt have been more lucky to find this place.
