I have been a member now for about 6 months. Vahan is my go to person and is a great massage therapist. I always leave feeling so relaxed and grateful. Both Vahan and this establishment make a point of keeping everything clean which to me is very important. My daughter and my wife also just received massages here this summer and both enjoyed their massages. SO great job all around and thank you!

BECOME A MEMBER. take care of your health. Membership gets you 1 massage or 1 facial per month. Membership is a reasonable monthly fee, and gets you perks like discounts on skin care product and purchasing gift cards.Crazy how much stress real estate gives me. VAHAN is my go to MASSAGE THERAPIST. I see him once a month. He has seriously tackled my intense neck tension from computer work. Hes very kind, listens well and very knowledgeable. Sometimes I fall asleep and when I dont I feel that I always learn something new and interesting about from him. He just used a new neck stretch technique he Learned in continuing education class. He is Alwsys striving to better and challenge himself. I usually choose a female massage therapist ; however, Vahan makes me feel comfortable and does an excellent job.Make an appointment today with HAND AND STONE CHAMBLEE (located in the whole foods Brookhaven shopping center.)

CECE for FACIALS is the best! great energy & knowledgeable, and easy to talk to . She gave me a chemical peel, which really helped my redness and dehydrated skin. She is patient to explain all the services and smart to come up with a skin game plan.Im on the monthly plan and get a facial or massage each month.$40 extra charge for chemical peelShe is someone I really look forward to seeing each month. She is not only a great esthetician but a sweet person. I hope she stays at h&s and gets promoted. The only frustration I have, is Since Ive been with hand & stone since its 1st opened (several yrs ago ) all my fave massage therapist and estheticians have left. (I think a lot of spas have the high turnover of employee issue ). The new owners should try to work harder to maintain the integrity of their staff.Less staff stress and better service for customers in the long run

Great customer service and massage therapy! Both the manager and front desk attendant were super friendly and inviting. My massage therapist, Keith was superb! He listened to all my concerns and addressed them. I feel completely rejuvenated. Hands down, one of the best massages I’ve ever had. I’m 100% satisfied with this location.

My initial post and 3 star rating was specifically for the masseuse Tosha. She was amazing. This updated rating and review is for my overall experience at H&S Chamblee. I arrived at 8:55am for my 9am appointment and the spa was still closed. I did notice a few other cars outside with people sitting and waiting as well. So I waited until about 9:10am when the spa lights came on and the door was opened. Needless to say my appointment for a 1hr massage did not begin on time. So why on earth did my 1hr massage end at 9:42? I don’t have time to go back and forth about this business matters. H&S know exactly what time they opened and what time my massage should have begun. Nonetheless I got dressed and proceeded to the front desk. Tosha offered me water and shared some recommendations as she walked me to the front desk. There, I asked a few questions. The membership was not explained to me well. At this point I’m over it and will not be back to be cheated in time for a massage that I am paying for. There are too many other spa’s around. I updated this review because initially after my massage, you’re asked to do a review on the massage itself, not your overall experience. More tricky ways. Save yourself the time and experience another spa.

Vahan. That is all I can say. I have needed a massage for a couple years because Covid and having a baby. Everything was clean, he was professional, but MOST importantly - he knows what he is doing. My back is f*cked because of my scoliosis and he gave me the relief I needed. I cannot wait to go back!!

I love go here because of the convenience. But I have been unable to get an appointment online lately. The staff is always professional and friendly. The only negative I have with this location is there is no consistency with the massage therapists. Im not sure if they rotate out to other locations or what but its hard to have a regular therapist because they have a lot of new people when I go. Other than that go and enjoy a massage and relax during this pandemic!

Dont go where to do a card, cancelled later still can continue to buckle money, really too have no credit! No consumption but continue to deduct my money, call them still useless! Its so irritatingI went to your store to cancel it three months ago, and then you told me that I needed to deduct it next month, so I could have two experiences. After that, you didnt charge any fees for three months, but my money was deducted again on October 1st, I dont know why! During the epidemic period, the state stipulated that everyone should stay at home and not go anywhere. You still deduct my expenses, which I dont care about. I just hope that you will stop using my credit card and deduct my money at will!

I’m from out of town and called to make a massage appointment since I was experiencing some shoulder pain. Since I’m not familiar with the area, I arrived for my appointment almost an hour early and was greeted by the sweet Spa Associate, Britney. She made me feel welcome and took her time explaining the process to me. She was even specific to make sure I marked the section on my massage pressure preference. I opted for medium pressure.Since I was early, Britney informed me that Marisa was available for a facial. So glad things worked out because I got a facial as well. Marisa is very knowledgeable and provided one of the best facials I’ve had and I’ve had many facials in my lifetime. She left my skin feeling so soft, hydrated and glowing. She even left my eye make up on so I can enjoy the night out in town and provided some great restaurant recommendations.Kay, my massage therapist have healing hands. The pressure was exactly to my preference and she helped relieve my shoulder tension. She listened to my request and focused on the areas I specifically asked for.I left the spa feeling so relaxed and truly appreciative for the great customer service I received from all three of the employees — Britney, Marisa and Kay.Thank you for such a fantastic experience!

Richard was great! Highly recommend for a great deep tissue massage. The only reason for the 4 instead of a 5 was because check-in was not prompt. I arrived early for my appointment as instructed and was not with the masseuse until 10-15 minutes passed my appointment time.If you are early then your appointment should start right away to ensure the full hour of the massage. Not sure if this was due to reception (she was busy) or just normal.

I had my first facial with Amanda and I absolutely loved it! From the moment I walked in she was so hospitable. Amanda wanted to get to know my skin concerns and listened to everything I had to say. She was completely honest and didnt try to sell me anything she felt I didnt need. My skin felt clean, refreshed and I felt so much more confident. I cant wait for future facials with her. Just left and so disappointed. I had Christy for a 60 minute hot stone massage. Her technique was weird felt like I just asked my husband or friend to massage me. Such a bummer. Usually when I have a massage the massage therapist use effective techniques to release tightness or stress built up in your body. She just kind of shook by body and moved through the massage in a very lazy way. Don’t use her, you’ll be disappointed. Ugh so irritated. Can I get a re-do please!

Delighted I could make reservations online only 45 minutes in advance on a Sunday afternoon, especially because no one answered telephone on four tires. First visit to Hand and Stone but much experience elsewhere. Very pleased with ambience of location. Facial was excellent. Some minor mixup re massage as I asked for deep tissue but was set up for swedish massage; couldnt that prior to massage; asked for firm. Therapist asked where to concentrate; replied neck and shoulders so she began with my feet and spent nearly 30 minutes. Very little time spent on neck and shoulders, no firm pressure. Surprise came at check out when suggested gratuities were prominently placed in front of me---$20 and more for a service ordinarily at $60 but that day at $49????? Thats more than 33% for a tip. Sorry folks, thats too much.

My first impression is that this is a great location with a great staff. I visited a couple of weeks ago with a close friend of mine. We both went for massages and facials.From my point of view, everything was great. The Massage Therapist spent a couple minutes asking me questions about the style and pressure I like and if I had any requests or areas to avoid. The massage was very pleasant. I then went into a facial session and the esthetician was very friendly and knowledgeable. Overall I had a great experience.Once my sessions were complete and I met my friend. She made several comments to me about how great it was as well asking when Im taking her back for more.Ive been to several Hand and Stone locations and they have all been great. This location is still new with new employees and everything that goes with it, but I was impressed with the professional, yet friendly staff I met during my visit.I look forward to returning soon!

The location is convenient and easy to find and really nice and relaxing. The massage was fine, although I’m not used to being face down so long so would have liked more awareness of that (or at least a head rest that wasn’t covering where you breathed). Granted, I could have spoken up about this, but I didn’t. I added the peppermint oil scalp massage. For $20 more, I was not impressed and didn’t see it as value for the money. It was done while I was still face down, which I thought was odd, and because of this, she was unable to adequately reach my temples and frontal portion of my head. And it didn’t last very long. Just kind of disappointing - although, was a first for me, so perhaps had misguided expectations. The reason I’m rating 3 stars is primarily due to the office’s issue using my gift certificate. Family from a other state gave me a gift certificate - bought online and printed. When I handed it to the receptionist, she commented that they have trouble using paper certificates. Sure enough, and 15 minutes later, she was still unable to find in the system. This was after calling her manager, me going through all the possible names that could have bought it (given by a group of 4), looking up and giving all of their phone numbers (sigh), and repeatedly giving and spelling all of the names as she searched through different listings. She was very kind and apologetic, and certainly not her fault, but this seems to be a persistent issue. And it really stinks to have to be pulled from your relaxed zone to have to deal with a billing issue for 15+ minutes. The bill was “left open” for someone to sort later. I think it was sorted - I haven’t seen a charge come through on my card, but I also haven’t received word back from the store. I’ll probably go again because I still have money remaining on the certificate. But will go with an awareness that the issues will likely repeat and just make my peace with that ahead of time. But afterwards, probably won’t visit again because of the billing headache. Maybe will feel differently after the next visit.

I am not usually the one that will write a bad review because I am in the service industry myself. I booked a couples massage and drove almost 45 minutes to this location. First, the store said on the door that it opens at 9 and we we’re here around 9:45 and the location was still closed. Our appt was at 10:00 and at 10:20, the receptionist said that she doesn’t have any therapists available for us after they called and confirmed with me last night. There were 2 other customers that came after us and was serviced before us. I am very disappointed how this was handled especially since I am a paying member of this company. It was such a bummer because this was an anniversary date for my husband and I. I will definitely not go out of my way to come to this location again.

Oh how I wish leave a 0 star for this incompetent, unethically ran establishment! DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT book a service here unless you want to have a confusing, unorganized, and stressful experience. The manager Tory is the most incompetent manager I’ve ever had the opportunity of engaging with who has no idea how to communicate, take accountability, or provide the necessary service to ensure her customers are pleased. They will ask you to leave a credit card to secure an appointment of which they later use to charge unauthorized transactions without your knowledge. All I’m saying in a nutshell is it’s not worth the trouble. The goal is to receive a relaxing and seamless experience when you book and/or receive a massage, not feel frustration, and confusion due to inconsistent communication, disorganization and an incompetent front staff who facilitate unethical practices. RUN!!!!!

Just became a member in Aug and so far this is great. Friday, Sept 29 was my 2nd 80 min massage and it was perfect. I have a sore neck, not sure why, but the deep massages do seem to help. No complaints here and well worth the monthly investment. Close to home and right next door to the new Whole Foods make it that much more convenient and easy to sneak out for an extended lunch or break. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a monthly massage at this new Hand & Stone Massage facility located at 5001 Peachtree Blvd. Two thumbs up!

I went the first time and the therapist was less than sub par. She rushed through the entire massage and the lights were left on the entire time. I had a gift card to come back so we booked an appointment, we had to cancel day of but when booking, the rep never told me that there was a fee to cancel, so I expressed I didnt mind paying but that was not expressed. The owner blatantly told me I was a liar and requested I never come to his business again. He also said he had the recording, which I requested and then as soon as I asked for it, he told me it would take some time to get. I was even willing to wait on the phone while he got it, but then came up with an excuse and instead said that he would prefer I not come back to his business. I intend to file a civil suit against the company. I would not recommend supporting this business as they are very incapable of providing good customer service as well as good massage therapy services. Do not be fooled by the clean environment. Their therapists are poorly trained, they talk a lot during your session, and there is a %99.9 chance your session will end earlier than you scheduled.

I have been looking for a upscale spa in the area. One day, I was in the Chamblee shopping area and noticed Hand and Stone massage. I decided to go in and pick up a brochure. Im so glad I did. About two week later, I stopped in again and became a member. I had my first massage last night and I LOVED IT. Siearra, was amazing. Small woman with powerful hands. I felt great after my service.The customer service is awesome. The atmosphere is great. Oh, the womens restroom.....is all that. I love a place with a beautiful restroom. They have hand towels for you to dry your hands. LOVE IT.If you are looking for a really nice and relaxing spa this is the place to go.

She knows what techniques work for specific muscle groups and applies the right amount of pressure to relieve pain or help you to relax. I had the Himalayan Pink Salt Massage and highly recommend. It was a great massage and everyone was very professional, but if I pay for an hour massage, then it should last an hour. Mine was only 45 minutes long even though I arrived at the facility 10 minutes before my appointment time. I dont think that filling out the paperwork and consulting with the massage therapist beforehand should be counted as part of the one hour of massage time.

First facial l received was fine for the price, so decided to sign up for membership. I found the facials to be sub par even with upgrades after I signed up. The facial I received before deciding to cancel my membership was horrible. The hour facial I paid for with upgrades was done in in 35 minutes due to Esthetician running late. I cancelled my membership by filling out their requested termination request with 30 days notice in January, and am still being charged the monthly service amount. I have contacted them several times to address and they keep saying the Manager will call me back. To date the Manager has not called me.

I was not happy with my service at all. I know I have a little issue with my acne but I have done a facial before an it was nothing like this. The young girl is sweat but I think she need more experience. She has been doing this a little over a yr she said. I have been a member of Hand & Stone for almost a year now. I have been to a location in Florida as well as Georgia, specifically the Sandy Springs location. I normally book all of my appointments at the Sandy Springs location but due to a schedule conflict I booked at this location (Chamblee). My first issue was the fact that I arrived 10 minutes BEFORE my scheduled appointment time and I was asked to fill out paperwork 1 minute before my appointment start time (the woman at the front desk forgot to give me the paperwork). I told her I did not want to lose time on my 60-minute massage because she forgot to have me fill out the form. Me stating that meant absolutely nothing because my massage therapist came to the lobby area to get me 5 minutes AFTER my massage start time. Overall, my massage was not that great compared to the others I’ve received at Hand & Stone (other locations).Towards the end of my massage, the massage therapist rubbed the middle of my back for about 2 minutes. After, she asked “how are you feeling? Take your time getting dressed.” I then asked her if she was going to massage my left arm and feet.? Her response was “oh, I’m sorry I thought I did that already.” It is unacceptable to not know which parts of your client’s body you did and did not massage. The entire massage felt rushed and it seemed as if she was trying to just get it over with.I will not be returning to this location. I recommend booking with the Sandy Springs location for Hand & Stone services.

It hurts me to leave this review and youll quickly understand why. Ive now visited this location 3 or 4 times because of me purchasing spa services for family members. So its not a one time occurrence or a specific employee. The service of the front desk employees who are greeting the customers and answering the phones are well below par, especially for the area they are in. Ive had time to correspond with them over the phone, in person, and listening to their interactions with other customers while in the waiting room. On the other hand, all of my relatives that Ive purchased services for have given the masseuses 5 star reviews. This isbunfortubate because this could have a direct impact on their business. New and existing customer wont deal with the short, unwelcoming, distant demeanor that the front desk embodies. Ive never felt like I was bothering someone more than when Im asking them questions. This is the same reason that I left a previous spa. The people interaction is just as important as the talent of your massage professionals. I hope this doesnt fall to deaf ears to the owners but if so at least potential customers will be informed.#BadAttitudes #GreatSpaServices

I am a Hand & Stone Member and I have been to several in GA and various cities/states. I usually have great experiences even when my massage itself wasnt so great which is rare, but it has happened. On this occasion (Sept. 2), I booked massages for myself and two relatives. The female who greeted us was very friendly and so too was my masseuse. The compliments stop here.My massage was okay at best. Maybe she was new or her style just wasnt completely my style. Anyway, I liked her personality...extremely friendly. But a mediocre massage isnt the worst part by a long shot. In fact, had everything else gone well, I wouldnt necessarily have a problem with this location. Yet that is not the case.When my massage was over, I came out to the waiting area to find out that one of my cousins NEVER went back to get her massage. Allegedly, her therapist passed out before calling my cousin back and ended up leaving work. Not in an ambulance, not escorted by anyone else, just walking slowly out of the spa. My cousin said it took the person waiting at the reception desk (not the same one who greeted us) almost 10-15 min to come and tell her what was going on.They didnt offer her another therapist or another treatment although two employees were sitting together behind the desk the entire time she sat waiting for us to finish up. It was not busy at all while we were there. Two people sitting behind the desk while a client wasnt being serviced is unacceptable.My cousin just sat there idle for an hour while we were being seen!!! Ridiculous. She happened to be in close proximity to one of the hanging waterfalls which started DRIPPING on her head and ruined the middle of her hairstyle. She was offered a TISSUE. Not a towel, but a tissue.When I finally came out, my cousin, NOT ANYONE from Hand & Stone told me what happened. They gave her a small free sample bag!!! I am the member & I booked the appointment. They were charged to my account and you never address me? My cousin was from out of town which is the reason why we were even getting massages on Saturday. Had I been informed, I would have gladly given up my massage so that she could have one.When I went to the desk for information the young woman and young man, (didnt get their names) but the male had dreads, braids or twists and he and the young woman were both African-American. I hope that helps identify them bc they did not do a thing. They did not apologize. You simply do not put people at the front desk who lack customer service skills. They did not offer to remove her massage from my account, but I will be calling on Tuesday regarding that issue. Heck, if I had not addressed them, they would have said nothing as we walked out of the door.This was the WORST experience Ive had at any spa including Hand & Stone. I wish I could have given this experience a negative star rating...in no way does it deserve 1 star.I will not return to this location again and suggest you save yourself the headache and schedule your appointment at the Sandy Springs location, which is where I normally go, but they were booked. Again, I will definitely be following up on Tuesday, but could not wait that long to post this review.

I had scheduled an 80 minute massage here, and when I showed up on time, I was told the person was running late and I would have to wait another 45 min until they arrive and only receive a 60 min massage. Now they tired to make it up by rescheduling me for another day, but I couldnt make this work. I would have been willing to wait 45 min but I still wanted my 80 min massage. I understand things come up, but dont reduce my level of service because an error on your part.

This is my second visit to this spa and it was fantastic! First visit was for a hot stone massage and this past visit was for a facial--my skin felt great and was actually glowing. I became a member and now have forced an excuse to go once a month (or more) to treat myself.

Got eyelash tinting and express facial. Staff very friendly. Kinda disappointed with eyelashes—not dark enough. I’ve had them look better after service elsewhere. Facial was ok but I was wiping off exfoliant from my neck and face after I left. I wouldn’t pay for the facial again because I can do all that at home. I may try a massage here but probably won’t come back for other services.

I got a facial done twice at this location. The first time was great! However, the second time I got a facial my skin broke out worse. They over charged me and ended my massage 10 min early.I would not recommend getting a facial at this location.

As I walked in, the front desk staff were very loud, talking amongst themselves. A nice lady greeted me but after she showed me where the bathroom was, she was out of sight and I had no idea where to go. I went back to the front desk. They seemed more concerned with what they were eating for lunch and the scheduling. The atmosphere was not serene or inviting at all. The massage therapist was nice but talked fast and gave me what appeared to be a Swedish massage vs a Deep Tissue massage which I insisted I wanted prior to my arrival. The therapist talked the entire time while giving me my massage. That was different and didn’t let me unwind. I wasn’t offered water after the maaage but offered it a million times prior which was strange as well. I felt like I was at the mall and not a spa. I didnt feel relaxed aftrwards and that was one of the worst experiences I received. I will not be coming back.

I just went there for a job interview they were only paying i think 9.00 an hour. No way. Especially for me to have to drive all the way from the DeKalb County to Dunwoody everyday plus a commission because they were big on selling their membership. They have not been open that long I will tell you that from what the manager told me only a few months. That whole new area is new actually.

The first couple of times I went to this location, I absolutely loved it! The front desk receptionist, Zach is amazing! In fact, he may be the only reason I continue to patronize this particular location, other than the fact that its closest to my home. My last three experiences have been completely horrible. First, the physical therapist assigned to me barely even touched me. It was more of a just brushing her hands on my body than a massage. Like literally no pressure at all. She then rubbed on my face a lot, which was awkward, especially because this was not a facial, but a full-body treatment. After the treatment, I was asked how it was, and I was brutally honest about the experience and asked to never be assigned to that individual again. They then gave me an upgrade on my next treatment which was sub-par at best. The next time I booked service, I was treating my cousin to one at the same time. Upon arrival, they had me booked with the same individual that I asked them never to assign to me again. smh To rectify, they suggested giving this person to my cousin and assigning hers to me. WHY WOULD I WANT MY COUSIN TO HAVE THE SAME HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE THAT I DID WITH HER?!?! Long story short, I ended up not getting a treatment that day because they were booked solid. Because of the inconvenience, they offered me an upgrade to a hot stone treatment on my next visit and threw in a hand massage. Which brings me to my most recent visit...the massage itself was nothing to rave about. However, my issue was that my regular treatment (60 minutes), hot stone upgrade AND hand massage were still only 60 minutes total! This means my regular 60 minute full-body was obviously cut short for these so-called upgrades! How do you upgrade to a free hand massage, but it cuts into my 60 minutes that i actually paid for!? That means that I didnt get 100% of what I paid for! I dont know what is going on with this location, but it has changed from when I first started going in Aug. 2017.The insane thing is...I will STILL go back because of how pleasant Zach is. He really makes the experience better, even with their missteps. Call me a glutton for punishment, but I will likely give them one more shot.

LIARS. LIARS. LIARS. I had the worst customer service experience in my life at this location- the customer staff is the most dishonest group of people I have had to deal with. Do not come here and go to Sandy Springs location instead if you want respect. I have given them chances continuously , and they have consistently lied to me. They have lost three customers- me, my mom and sister.I left the Sandy Springs location as this one was closer- when I asked if I could transfer one of my monthly paid membership appointments to my mother, on the phone, Zach told me there would be no charge. When I got there the next day, even though I mentioned what Zach told me, they still charged me !!! They apologized about the misconception, and instead of being courteous and not charging me for what Zach said, they still did! After realizing how expensive these appointments would be here and how I could not come monthly- I asked if I could come bi-monthly. The manager said yes and that she would set that up for me. From december to february I was not charged montly, then suddenly on March I began being charged monthly without being notified. When I called to ask what was going on, I WAS YELLED AT BY THE CUSTOMER SERVICE about what he should do about it ? I told him, IF YOU WERE NOT ABLE TO GIVE ME A BI-MONTLY MEMBERSHIP, then you should not have told me it was possible. DONT LIE JUST TO GET MONEY. I cannot believe he yelled at me. These people are liars, do not respect their customers, and do chase you outside for tips if they want more because they dont care about you, they care about your MONEY. DO NOT COME HERE.
