I had an excellent experience at Visonworks. Not only were my glasses done in 2 weeks, I was able to try on glasses safely, the optometrist explained everything very well and was aware of my needs for work. I can’t say one negative thing about them. Thank you to everyone who helped me throughout.

Excellent all around service. The eye doctor was great he really took his time and explained everything to me. The girl that talked to me about my glasses was wonderful, she didnt try to push a bunch of the extra lens add ons but she did explain to me what each one did and told me what my insurance would cover and what my out of pocket would be, no hidden surprises. Website hours aren’t accurate, but got to the store at 10 til closing. They had already cashed out the drawer and couldn’t sell anything else for the day. We just wanted to look but lights were off. They may as well close at 5:50. Person was not friendly or helpful. Terrible

Online scheduling is nice, lots of times to choose from. Upon entering, I was the only one there. Greeted with a friendly smile and checked in immediately. I was taken right back for the exam. The young lady (Eliana I believe was her name) was very nice, and in a genuine way, not a fake way. She wiped everything down before we began. As we went through each test, she explained it what it was, what it was for, and the process. She knew what she was doing and kept things rolling. I felt like she likes her job, which seems rare these days. That also makes a patient feel more comfortable and at ease.Something important to note is that this is a Telehealth only location. That means there are no eye doctors on site, its all through a virtual visit. Once we got to the part where you see blurry pictures and read off letters, she connected me with a tech to perform that part. He was up on a big TV screen in front of me. It was easy to communicate with him, there were no issues. He was also friendly.After that an optometrist connects to the TV to review all the tests. She had a dull personality, almost seemed bored. I guess sitting at a desk and reviewing eye exams all day would get boring. But she did review each test, showed images, and seemed to be thorough enough.I did not need glasses, so I cant comment on that process. Should that ever change, I will update my review.One thing I was not happy about was that my insurance didnt cover the added cost for the Telehealth portion. Of course I understand its my responsibility to review my health plan, but I felt that somewhere on the site it shouldve mentioned to check. I verified it was accepted, but knew nothing of that added cost. I didnt know it was Telehealth until I got my email confirmation. I just thought it was a Covid thing, but apparently not. I was informed of the charge when I arrived, caught a little off-guard, but its not the fault of the facility at all. Im just unhappy with the Visionworks company for charging a patient extra for Telehealth (especially in these modern times), and the insurance for not covering it.Overall I was pleased. If you dont have very specific eye health concerns/issues, and just need an exam or glasses, Id recommend this place.

Absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff is a delight, friendly and helpful. Very clean and follow Covid guidelines. The Doctor is so personable and explains everything so thoroughly.

Recently had eye exam with Dr. Bob. He’s great! The main reason I return to VisionWorks. With all the CoVid 19 precautions, it is a trying time for everyone to say the least. There are limited appointments but they are trying (and hopefully succeeding) to keep everyone safe and healthy. Thank you. The staff are doing there absolute best of being professional and respectful to the customers. Thank you for your work in these unusual conditions!

I just tried to get my glasses adjusted at the Visionworks store chambersburg. It was a simple adjustment, the nose pads. Told me it would be over a week till I could get them done. Time to go somewhere else! No response from your store.

Very rude lady of the phone when trying to schedule an exam. Was told to go to another company as well. Also, the glasses I got from this place last year would give me a headache after an hour or so of wearing. Tried to go back and talk with them about it and was told nothing they could do. I would strongly recommend going somewhere other than Visionworks. Especially this one in Chamberbsurg.

The women who helped me intially were great. The eye doctor was great too. Everything was explained. They were patient with me and I appreciate that. The woman adjusting my glasses. Terrible. Hardly listened to me. Or even adjusted them right. They were so loose. The handles werent even adjusted. She was just ready to be done with me. I paid out of pocket for my glasses. Whatever wasnt covered. It wasnt cheap. Makes me think twice about going back. Its a shame because I bragged how great the initial visit was. It just takes one rude person to ruin it all.

I love Visionworks. The Dr is excellent and the staff is so kind and friendly. They help answer any questions you have . Update. I received my glasses and hated them. I was so nervous to go back in to check the guarantee. Well let me tell you from the minute I told Cindy what the problem was she took care of everything. She was so kind and caring and agreed my glasses were not right for me. I picked them out on my own. She spent almost an hour looking for just the perfect pair of glasses that would fit my face. She made me feel relaxed and that I was the most important person in the store.She never gave up.We finally found just the right pair for me and I never felt bad at all for not liking the first pair.She just wanted to make me a happy customer. That is the best experience I have ever had.Thank you Cindy for going above and beyond for me.You made my day and I will never forget it. Your customer service is top notch.

I called and they told me my order was in the store but when I went to go pick them up, they said they were mailed to an address thats not even mine!! I didnt give them authorization to mail them either!! No idea what theyre doing.

After visiting Visionworks for the very first time in Chambersburg Square, I was totally impressed by the kindness and service that was shown to me. Though the office seemed busy with customers coming in at times (no wonder since it is such a great place), I never felt rushed or hurried and always felt important and that my specific needs were being met. If you are looking for a great place for eye care you will not be disappointed!

I waited almost two months for my appointment and I was 10 minutes late because of traffic and they try to re schedule my appointment for another month of wait, then when I said I was going to another company they told me they didn’t care and bye, such of bad customer service and if funny because I been working with them for like 10 years but they didn’t care

Great experience, overall! Dr. Lazer was thorough in explanation, and Tammy was so helpful throughout the entire process. She did an excellent job helping me find he perfect frames for the perfect fit. She also paid extra attention to working with my insurance and providing me with sales.

I took my wife here for here routine eye exam, first time going to Visionworks. Scheduled her appointment through phone, pretty easy. The staff was very professional and helpful. Also Dr. Bob Lazer (ophthalmologist) was the most professional person we have been attended by. He gave us great recommendations and explained everything very detailed. Prices are fairly right. Will go back again next year for sure.

I was here once and had a terrible experience. I also called them to ask a question and that was too much to ask. Catch me at the eye doctor in Walmart before I ever go back to this place.

I had my first actual eye appointment yesterday at visionworks. I was greeted by Ms.Tammy who was extremely nice and professional. She took care of me and then took back to the doctor. the doctor was also professional and took care of me. Overall the whole experience was amazing! Thank you to all the staff and the doctor. 😊

Twice my husband’s appointment was changed without our knowing it.First time we were told we were supposed to be there an hour earlier. I assumed we’d messed up and left; rescheduled at home.For the SECOND appointment we were DEFINITELY rescheduled — and with little advanced notice. As in, 9 am on the day of the appointment.Just got a text saying he was scheduled for an appointment one week later. That’s it.Called and was told “they’d been trying to reach me” ... I’m calling BS on that one.ONE scheduling problem?It happens.TWO scheduling problems?NO. And NO.I’d like to tell you what the actual SERVICE is like here ... but ...Do Not. Waste. Your Time. Here.

Doctor was excellent! the rest, not so much! Appt was at 11:00, was told to arrive 15 minutes early. They unlocked the doors at 11:00 am exactly. Opened the doors with no gloves or mask. Of the 3 people out front, no gloves and only one was wearing a mask. She took my glasses to measure the lenses with no gloves and returned them to me with out wiping them down. I asked if she had something to clean them with and she told me I had to have gloves on to use their cleaner! Very unprofessional appearance and behavior. Will purchase my glasses elsewhere and never return. Only gave one star because the doctor was excellent and wire gloves and a mask and cleaned everything he touched anyway!

Much better selection of frames than my previous eye doctor and the staff was much more friendly and helpful. Tammy ensured I got the best possible deal with my insurance so I only had to pay a small amount out of pocket. Will definitely return for my next exam.

I have never had a more efficient and informative visit to a vision center. Dr.Lazer was amazing! He was so calming, informative and thorough. Tammy handled my purchases and was able to help me understand my insurance coverage to get me the best deal possible! Did I mention it was really busy with walk ins on a Wednesday morning! I was in and out in an hour and 20 minutes. This was a great experience! Excellent customer service! I can’t say enough great things about them! Thank you so much!!

Had an appointment for eye exam and was told they accept my insurance. With my insurance I still had to pay $60 towards my exam and a $50 contact fitting fee. Never have I had to pay anything towards n exam with my insurance or a fitting fee. This place is a rip off and very expensive. My fault for assuming it would be like every other place that accepts my insurance. The people in the office did not know what they were doing to price everything and ended up being in there wasting my time for 3 hours. Then when my glasses came in I had to schedule an appointment just to have them adjusted to my face which did not suit as they did not have any appointments for my husband no I to come together. Worst experience getting an eye exam and glasses ever and my new glasses so cheaply made it’s ridiculous!

We had a wonderful experience today. Tammy took the time to make sure our order was right and all accounted for with our insurance company. Dr. Tyno was very thorough and made sure the prescription was just right. Highly recommend this location for all your vision needs.

Tammy was very helpful today. She offered to give me her opinion and get others to give theirs on the way my glasses looked in a non-judgmental way. She also tried to get me the best price and did not try to oversell products that I did not need. She took her time to explain each product and when I walked out I owed no out of pocket costs! Dr. Tyno is extremely thorough. One of the best exams I’ve ever had. Then, I was fortunate enough to have had Sandy K.helping me choose my glasses. I was at the Norland Ave location and I Couldnt be any more pleased with my time there. something was wrong with my paperwork and I was told that means Wed have to reschedule. Instead, the doctor was willing to wait for Tammy to take time out to get my information verbally and I was so thankful. Im dealing with bells palsy at the moment so its hard to understand me and she was so patient with me. The doctor was just as kind. Tammy helped the So much with my frames lensesand insurance. Will never go anywhere else again.

Its been 3 weeks since my exam and my son. Glasses still havent been ordered. Wont give me the promotional discounts thats running right now and willing to not use insurance at that. Terrible business practices

Service is great and the workers are very friendly. The doctor explains things to you in great detail. The place is very clean especially the bathrooms. Prices are fair and they have a great selection of glasses for all ages. I refuse to go anywhere else this is the best eye center in Chambersburg.

Everyone was very professional and personal. I felt the exam was a little fast. But if it was done correctly then fast is OK. Tammy helped us with our selection and checking out. Havent received our glasses yet so that will be the final answer as to them being the best option for us.

My experience at my last eye doctor was horrific, so my boyfriend referred me to Visionworks. It is with great relief that I say this place is AMAZING. I had the pleasure of being seen by Dr. Tyno, as well as the the ladies who helped me pick my glasses. The entire environment is so positive, and this staff genuinely cares about helping their patients. I am so thankful that I switched to Visionworks, and I will most definitely keep coming here!

Very good place for eye exams. Dr. Tyno took the time to explain everything to my curious 9yr old, even the exam glasses that frightened him a bit. Nicky was very helpful with the frames and lenses.

I was initially impressed with the eye doctor and quality of the vision exam and the customer service offered by one particular young woman who spent time assisting me with the purchase of three pairs of glasses. The downsides/ red flags from my first visit were the obvious short staffing issues, the disorganization of associates greeting customers and the attempt for associates to balance patients signing in for eye exam appointments while servicing customers in need of new glasses or fittings. Unfortunately, my experience was completely ruined, at the time of pick up, due to terrible customer service. I was abandoned during the fitting process by an associate who thought it was proper customer service to leave my fitting to prepare another customer for an eye exam and force me to wait on someone else who would be another 45 minutes minimum. When I questioned why I would be expected to wait when she was almost finished fitting my glasses the “manager” John told me, “sometimes you have to wait for things in life.” I will be in need of new glasses yearly, for the remainder of my lifetime and I will not return as a customer of Visionworks. The “manager” John chose to be rude and disrespectful to me. He should not be coaching behaviors of associates. I chose to return all three pairs of glasses and take my business elsewhere. I’ve received much better customer service at the DMV. I do not recommend this business. There are much better options available to the public.

Great experience with getting my glasses and contacts for my son. The doctor explained processes throughout the exam. Good choice of glasses. Tammy worked with my glasses fitting and was very experienced with my fitting. If you are looking for a place to go, try the Chambersburg Visionworks.

My family had Dr. Susan Tyno she was an excellent doctor. She explained to me a previously undiagnosed medical condition that my son has. She answered all of my questions and referred me to a doctor she said would absolutely give my son the care he needed. She assured my son and told him she has the same condition and to not worry. Ask for her when you go. You won’t be disappointed!!

Tried calling several times but no answer. Stopped in and waited for ten minutes at the desk before the girl looked up at me and told me to take a seat. I just wanted to schedule an appointment and was told I would have to wait about 20 minutes. I walked out.

I have a hard time finding frames that will fit my face as I have a very narrow face. Brandy suggested several frames. She was very helpful and so full of spirit. It actually made looking for frames fun. Ive never had that experience before as I absolutely dread looking for frames.

Had been to numerous other eye doctors never receiving the correct prescription. Finally in one exam I saw clearly without any straining on my eyes. Was instantly able to see so clear.

Great staff, we were traveling and my husband lost the screw in his glasses, he really cant see well without them. They replaced the screw and cleaned them at NO CHARGE. Thank you so much for your help and kindness!

There is no customer service here. Overworked, under assisted employees with not enough personnel to handle their clientele makes it a positive for long waits and frustrated employees that make the experience awkward at best and downright uncomfortable at worst.If you need a question answered or are trying to make a simple inquiry don’t try calling. They do not answer the phone and have no options to leave a message, so please save yourself hours and days of aggravation and just go in person to ask your question. Yeah, you waste gas and time you don’t have, BUT you will at least get your answer. (I tried calling- phone rang 15 minutes and auto-disconnected me, so I called again and again- same thing every time no matter what day or time I called)Update to reply below: I already sent an email and enclosed all pertinent information in that email. I would never just post a poor rating without first contacting corporate. Things can not be improved without documentation. Hope y’all get it together.

Store was insanely busy because it was understaffed that day. However, my store associate, Nicky, was efficient and friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, quality of visit was excellent and price was right.

Ordered contacts over a mont ago. Called and spent over an hour being transferred from one que to another. Horrible customer experience.

She was also very patient as I deliberated over a 6 month supply or a 1 year supply. I did not feel rushed at all. Tammy was very professional and kind throughout the entire process. I just want to take a moment to say how much I appreciate all the help Laura and her team of people gave me.I had an issue with my glasses from the store in Frederick MD and Laura went above and beyond helping me get my problem taken care of.I have progressive lenses and she explained to me how they work so that I could understand why I was having a problem.I have been wearing progressive lenses for years but no one has ever taken the time to explain to me the importance of having them measured correctly.Laura not only explained it to me but actually showed me how they come up with the measurement.I just want to say Thank You Laura and all the people at Chambersburg Visionworks

I came into the store and Tammy fitted me for my glasses. A couple weeks later I needed them adjusted and Nicky helped me. Both were very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely no customer service waited on hold for over 30 minutes, took over two days to just get a prescription faxed over to another eye provider.

My wife and I Purchased new glasses today. Dr. Bob Lazer, Optometrist was very nice and skillful in conducting an initial exam. Tammy R.S. was a wonderful Optician who was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable, and carefully measured us for the new glasses.

There is a nice selection of eyeglass frames, moderately priced and the store is in a great location and is bright and clean. Dr. Bob Lazor is the best eye doctor I have ever worked with, he is thorough, very experienced, friendly and takes his time to explain to you about your eyes condition. Awesome experience. Had one of the most comprehensive eye exams Ive ever had by Dr. Bob Lazer. Very friendly and he really took his time, which was a drastic change from some of the other eye exam places in town where they always seem to rush you through. Shelly was very friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable and never seemed put out when I asked many questions. Also, Cindy was excellent and unmatched in helping me find just the right pair of frames. Ive never had anyone else at the other places assist me in that way. Usually they say to just go over to the frames and pick out what you like and leave it at that. Cindy was very professional and offered very good, satisfactory explanations for my questions. I came away feeling I got the best service and price around the Chambersburg area. I will definitely be back.

So glad I went to Visionworks for my eye exam with Dr. Lazer. Dr. Lazer took the time to explain everything that was going on with my eyes in full detail. After my exam, Tammy helped me pick out good glasses. She gave me her honest opinion on everything and that was a big help. She took the time to explain all the different materials and designs. I got two pairs of glasses. They have great sales too!

My wife and I had appointments at this Visionworks store yesterday. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. Dr. Lazer provided each of us with excellent examinations and information about the health of our vision.
