Best doctor ever. I’ve had women gynecologists before and they were ok, but I’ve seen him several times for IUD issues and he’s been the best. I have experienced ZERO discomfort during examinations and he’s funny and honest and empathetic. I had a new IUD inserted this week and it was painless. Highly recommend.

I have been a patient of Dr. Montilla for 12 years. I have never had a bad experience with him. The only times I hated seeing him was when I miscarried ... 2 times, and I was a mess. Otherwise he has been great. He also performed surgery on my daughter when she was just 13. She has been seeing him since ... she is now 25. I think he is great.

I’ll give them a 0 if I could.. long story short.. I got recommended to this office and ended up having a nightmare. My daughter had to be born in a hospital bed because he was refusing to deliver.. according to Dr Montilla it would take about 40 Min to deliver and instead took 2 Min. Worst doctor in general ever.. horrible experience..

After going through a physically traumatic childbirth under the care of Dr. Montilla, I am unable to recommend him or his services. A little bit about my experience...I had a textbook pregnancy with no complications -- in fact, our baby was so comfortable inside that I ended up being induced. The induction itself progressed at a normal rate -- I was started on medication around 8AM and was pushing by 3:30-4:00PM. Our baby arrived just after 5:00PM. I didnt have a very short or very long labor by any means.Unfortunately, during labor, I suffered a 4th-degree tear. (Dr. Montilla initially told me it was a 3rd-degree tear while he was stitching me up post-birth, but later in his office, this changed to a 4th-degree tear. This should already be a red flag that I wasnt told the proper degree of my tear. If he truly thought it was 3rd-degree initially, was I even sewn up properly?)A 4th-degree tear alone is traumatic enough to deal with as a new mom, but further complication developed into a recto-vaginal fistula (RVF) which is when feces is coming through a tract from your anus to your vagina internally. When I first called the office to tell them my symptoms, the nurse on the phone laughed and told me it was totally normal. In what world is it normal for feces to come out of your vagina?Regardless, I got in the next day for my visit and Dr. Montilla advised that I should have surgery right away to correct the RVF. The surgery he performed failed within 24 hours and my tract returned. I later found out when working with a new doctor, that they almost never recommend going back into surgery when you are just coming off of surgery. The reason being is that the tissue needs time to heal; otherwise, its like sewing back together pieces of wet tissue paper and can end up doing more damage. Apparently, Dr. Montilla missed that day of medical school. When I went back to his office for my follow-up appointment, he insisted it would heal up if I just gave it time (spoiler alert: it didnt.) but said he could recommend me to a colo-rectal specialist (CRS) if I was interested. This is likely what he should have done from the start, but whether it was just his ego or he truly thought he could fix it, he decided to go back in himself just days after my birth. After the point that he passed me off to the CRS, I have never heard from him again (its now almost 5 months later). Not once did he check up on my progress or even see if I had further surgeries. Yes, ladies, this is the type of doctor who will damage you almost beyond repair and then never follow up again to see if youre healing. For the health of your baby and your self, I recommend staying far away from this office.

I wish I could give this doctors office 0 star if there is one. I have a very good insurance with zero deductible but they sent my lab work to out-of-network laboratory. I received bill with 10x more than what I would I get with in-network lab. I had to call that office and lab several times to get the price adjusted. Very frustrating experience, I would not recommend this office.
