The first day I took my daughter to this daycare, I came to pick my daughter up and one of the daycare staff was hitting on my baby. I reported my complain and they did nothing about it. I met my daughter entire clothes wet so many times that I went to pick her up, and the staffs were there doing nothing. This is one of the worst day care ever. Because of this daycare I refuse taking any of my kids to daycare, I will rather take care of them myself for now. As a black woman I don’t want to say race has to do anything about it, but from my experience take your child somewhere else.

Absolutely awful! Do not take your children here. They knew what I expected from them when my son started. I kept him there maybe a week and a half and pulled him out due to having incident reports every single day! I watched on the live cameras as the teachers in the 2 year old room did not pay attention to the kids they constantly were chatting in the corner and had their backs turned. I saw my son get hit by a very aggressive little boy numerous times more than 4 times in one week, he was hit, bit, and jumped by two other boys leaving bruises all over him and the teachers didn’t notice until I called and explained what happened. Then when I brought it up to the director I was basically told this is normal for two year olds and it’s really not I work in a daycare and I know this is not normal. I chose this daycare because I thought it was going to have a strict curriculum but what I saw everyday was activities that lasted 30 seconds with each child and group activities that last a few minutes then the rest of the day the kids just ran around and didn’t have any supervision or guidance. After showing Stephanie the photos of the bruises that my son got from being jumped and not protected or helped and may I remind you I WATCHED IT and she said her teachers do a “fantastic job”. The director told me after I called 3 times in one week to tell them I saw him being bullied and abused that it’s “normal” BUT I shouldn’t receive incident reports everyday. THEN she goes on vacation and I get incident reports every single day! I would not recommend ever bringing your child here. They also leave the lights completely on during nap and then wonder why the kids don’t want to sleep. Another reason I pulled him out is they didn’t listen to what I told them he needed. They hardly responded to me anytime I messaged them unless he was hurt. Ashley in the 2 year old room looks absolutely aggressive with the children I even saw her snatch a little girl up by her arm. My son said he didn’t like her and she was mean. Do not take your children here.

I have been using this daycare for the last 3 years. At first i only went to this daycare due to a discount I got a work but now I think of them as extended family that cares for my child. I know that they will be open even on the snowiest of days. I also can count on them to work on any behavioral issues a energetic three year old will bring. My child is learn lots thanks to them. The staff has been very active on staying open during covid and keeping it safe for all our kids and employees.

We love La Petite! We know when we drop our son off in the morning that he is so loved when we are working! They do fun crafts and learning, even as babies. Throughout the day, we get constant updates and photos on their app to reassure us he’s having a good time! They have always answered our questions and have worked around our schedule. So happy with our choice of bringing him here!

I would recommend this daycare to anyone. My daughter and 2 grandsons go there and we love it. The teachers are awesome. They are always doing activites and learning new things. I love the updates through out the day on the app they have.

This place and its customer service is horrible.. I called to set up a tour.. customer service called me back to set up the tour.. then the director called me to see if I had any questions. I asked her if she had room in her infant room for an 8 month old.. she responded they did.. then I asked her about accepting block grant for my granddaughter.. she told me they do accept block grants but NOT FOR BABIES! She told me they dont make enough money off of babies through block grants to accept that as payment because it was a 4 to 1 ratio. They wont take block grants until a child is 2 years of age. This is clearly age discrimination and very much tells me that this facility is all about money.. dont care about the child. I called their corporate enrollment office to ask if that is the policy, I was told it is not normally and they were unaware of the Cedar Rapids location doing this. I think everyone should know about this policy. I guess if you cant pay full price, as a single mom with 2 children, no child support, trying to work fulltime and support your family, dont expect to get child care from this company until they are 2 years old! This is ridiculous!! I wouldnt take my dog here if that is the attitude.

La Petites newest leadership has been the best thing that has happened to the daycare. They bend over backwards to make sure that the children are receiving a great education and part of a safe environment. My children are African American and they are treated equally by the other children, teachers and staff. Not only that, but the staff and teachers treat my children as their own and are actively concerned about their well-being.

Lack of communication, everybody doesnt check their email often and this daycare failed to pick up the phone and make a simple phone call to inform me that they were dropping my child from the day care. I lost wages and had to call off work for the day, when a simple phone call from the director Nicole would have solved everything.

This is a horrible daycare facility for African American children. As a customer for 4 years, my contract was terminated due to abuse from 2 separate situations and never received incident reports. This place is not equipped to handle communication among adults as i have asked several times to have a meeting to come to some sort of arrangement that will guarantee safety for my children, instead i was told that my children were lying, black people were too aggressive and that the contract will be terminated and my children things were set outside as if we were some sort of criminals or animals. I also used there chain of command to have the situation handled properly and to my surprise.. they were no help at all!!! I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone of color... They will give you a hassle, write your children up for anything, refuse top feed me and treat them as if they dont exist.. to the point your children HATE IT! The new staff is horrible, lazy and racist ... they should have a sign that says #WhitesOnly

Its a really expensive place, (238$ a week for 1 child) it is clean, they have a cool app, for the most part its good. There are alot of annoying things about this place though. For example they seem to call alot to come pick up your child. THEY dont clean your childs face, I have not once picked up my child from there without some kind of krusty stuff caked all over his face in the 5 or 6 months hes been there. 1 time my child had just woke up soon as he arrived and they made me take him home before I even left his room saying he has pink eye and had goopy eyes (which idk if they know the word goopy comes from goo and idk how a dried up eye crusty is goopy)when by the time I got back home (10 blocks away) his eyes where clear as day. YES my child is difficult hes 2 I think it was more on the lines that they didnt want him there. I will be taking my son out of there soon as another spot opens elsewhere.

Horrible. i had to pay 300 in registration fees in 5 months, they terminated my child because supposable he punched a teacher so hard she cried yet i never recieved an incident report. HES 3 no way he could do that sorry, and to not recieve an incident report even worse. to top it off they released my financial information to my kids step grandmom when she picked them up & also didnt call me to report they were terminating my child, i had to ask! poor academic levels, and they are not willing to help with a child that clearly has ADD or ADHD, just LAZY!
