I used to be a Resident Assistant here in Cedar Rapids and I would say it was a pretty good experience. The director was human and actually treated her staff including me at the time with great respect and dignity ! It was a blessing to have a boss like Cheri Shultz. She treats people like family and that is important in my book and you can learn from it too ! :)Matt Spellman

Awesome place! Mom loves it here! So glad I took a chance and stopped in to inquire when looking for a place to move Mom to this side of town from Marion. The staff is friendly and helpful. One of the staff is from Wisconsin where Mom grew up, so knows some of same names and places Mom was familiar with growing up. Mom has integrated well and now goes to play penny BINGO and prize BINGO and enjoys “Happy Half Hour” on Friday evenings. Only things she initially “missed” when first moving were having a garage for her car, transportation for appointments is only on Tues and Thurs, and she misses some of the cable channels she used to watch since they have a different cable provider. But I have asked her repeatedly if she is happy here and likes it or if she would prefer I find something different and she replies,“No, no, no! Don’t be messing with anything! Did you make sure my bill is paid this month so I get to stay?....”It’s the type of place I would like to go to if and when I needed Assisted Living and have instructed my daughters accordingly! Thank you Angie, Angela, Cherie, Junior, etc and ALL the staff for making Mom welcome and all your excellent care! You folks ROCK!!!

Prairie Hills of Cedar Rapids is one of the coziest, friendliest, and cleanest communities I have visited. It is small enough that everyone knows everyone- and residents get personalized attention. It truly feels like home and you can tell how happy and cared for all of the residents are. There is no reason to look anywhere else!

As a healthcare professional working alongside the Prairie Hills staff, I have seen nothing but compassion and kindness. The staff ensures that all their residents are treated with the respect they deserve, and that they are safe in their environment. It is evident that they want to make sure the residents are able to call Prairie Hills home.

Just enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at Prairie Hills. Meal was superb staff very friendly and curtious. Only suggestion I would make is to dismiss tables 1-2 at a time to reduce standing in halls and give your staff time to replenish serving tables without congestion

Very lovely, quiet, excellent facilities for price. Angie gave thorough tour, answered all my questions. Very impressed.

Prairie Hills Community is a warm and welcome facility. Staff is like a second family to Dad. They go above and beyond to make sure his living experience at the facility is comfortable and home felt. Thank you.

Wonderful place to work! If my parents ever needed an assisted living facility I would in full confidence direct them to Prairie Hills at Cedar Rapids!
