My first visit for this MD. I filled out paper after paper online sent copies of my drivers license and insurance card as instructed to “save time” for the staff and MD. It took quite a while but I did it.I arrived about 10 minutes early as I always do. Then I was promptly asked all the same info and needed to submit insurance and drivers license again!! Why?Then they rudely stated the MD would be 15 or 20 minutes late. Then about 15 minutes later was told it would be another 30 minutes. So I left. Why if I am supposed to respect their time do they not respect mine?I rescheduled for 3 days later. I hope they are more respectful then.

Dr. Logan is not only a great surgeon, he is a down to earth, easy to talk to doctor who really listens and cares about his patients. I had a hip replacement and was walking a few hours later with a walker and up and down my stairs the next day when I got home. I only had to use a walker for 2 weeks, a cane for 2 weeks and i was back to work after 3 weeks. The entire experience i had from pre-op appointments, the calls to and from his office, as well as all the paperwork they did over the phone was great! The hospital (St. Davids Surgical Hospital) was awesome, as well as all of the nurses. Best of all the surgery went very smoothly. I was back to my 5 mile bike rides and daily aerobics in no time and no pain on that hip at all.Im getting ready to have my other hip done by Dr. Logan next week and Im sure it will go off without a hitch! I would definitely recommend him to anyone that needs a hip or knee replacement, he really is one of the best!

I appreciated Dr. Logan when I went to visit. He looked at my knee and suggested a non-surgical option as the first choice. He also asked about the changes to my other knee and we probably will be looking at additional changes to that knee afterwards.

Love having orthopedic practice on the FIRST floor, no navigating stairs or elevator to get to the office. Also Physical Therapy is right on site too, very convenient. Wait time was reasonable, plus their portal allowed me complete almost all paperwork online ahead of time. I had X-rays done in the office right away so Dr. Logan has a lot of data before he even walked in the door. He was thorough, explained what the X-rays showed and was able to precisely pinpoint the pain spot. He clearly explained options, made a suggestion and gave me printed material explaining the diagnosis and treatment, including relevant exercises. I would not hesitate to go back or refer friends.

It is refreshing to meet a surgeon who isn’t scalpel-happy in this day and age. Dr Logan is thoughtful and pragmatic, and though I clearly have some osteoarthritis, he was able to counsel me on exercises that could help keep my spine more healthy and stave off surgery. Starting w an injection and PT.

I saw Dr Logan at Texas Orthopedics in Round Rock. This place had at least 12 people checking in on the same half hour I was given for my appointment. The lobby had at least 30 people in it waiting. Granted they have multiple doctors, do PT as well as Dr. visits, but..I arrived at 1:30pm, wasnt called until 2:10, and wasnt seen until 2:35pm.Left me with the impression that this is another place that wants to cram people in like sardines, charge their insurance companies as much as possible, and give them the minimal required attention. If I (or my insurance company) is going to pay you the equivalent of an entire days pay (for most of us), then the least you could do is to give us service at the time of the appointment and give us a solid, undistracted, 20 minutes of your time. The doctor quickly ran through a series of move this way, does that hurt? tests, and gave me a diagnosis. He explained things a bit and drew some pictures, but I got the impression he wasnt focusing very hard or listening to what I said.I told him one knee hurt more than the other. Not once, but three times, he pointed at the wrong knee. It doesnt make a patient feel confident, when our words go right through the doctors ears and onto the floor.Id be willing to accept all of that, but the last part of my visit was the most irritating. The doctor wanted to give me a prescription for a topical NSAID. After he left, his assistant told me they could only prescribe this from a mail order facility that they have selected...What? That sounds fishy. So, I went to the car and looked up the stuff they wanted to prescribe me. It will cost my insurance company $2600. No thanks!I went back in and told them not to order the prescription. They all looked shocked and got defensive. The lady at the counter kept reiterating to me that You have insurance. It wont cost you $2600. Sure, thats not my point! I didnt want to go into a political rant in the middle of the office, but look people, insurance money is not free money!* Insurance premiums in this country are more than some peoples house payments.* When I ask the insurance companies why they are so high, they point at costs.* How can I argue with them when places like this want to prescribe me $2600 topical pain reliever? She then summoned the doctors assistant. The doctors assistant told me and I quote, There is nothing else I can prescribe you, and this is not available at a local pharmacy.Well, thats just a damn lie. I called 5 pharmacies in the local area. They all have the ability to get it. They all have 3 alternatives to offer, for the same use, that are fractions of the cost, as well. This is clearly a case of a sales rep making deals with a doctors office, and it is disgusting. He also told me, All topical NSAIDS are going to be listed at thousands of dollars, because they are composed of complicated chemical compounds....I looked up the ingredients...I dont think 70% alcohol or proplyene glycol is all that complicated. The active ingredient might be a bit harder to get a hold of, but for $2600, at more than $300 per ounce, I will just take my slight ache, thanks!Lastly, I got to pay for my x-rays out of pocket and towards my deductible. No biggie, but maybe you could tell me that up front? At least they gave me a copy of the x-rays to take with me, so I can show that to the next orpho doctor I see, because I wont be coming back to this place for sure!
