Overall, the staff was pleasant. I was called back in just a few minutes and only waited a few more, prior to the doctor seeing me. Dr. John Paul Rodriguez spoke with me (not at), listened, and took time to explain my issue & prescribed plan in layman terms. A much more human experience than I have had from other doctors at other clinics.

On Monday, July. 19, 2021, I saw Dr. Scott Smith in the office. I had wanted a second opinion on my orthopedic concerns. I had had several suggestions for treatment by other doctors. Dr. Smith was straightforward and of great help. His personality and manner was reassuring. His recommendations made me feel that he understood my concerns and validated them. I would recommend him to anyone that needs to be seen for orthopedic issues that wants an honest patient oriented evaluation and recommendation. I would and will see him again.I have seen Dr. Hardy in the same clinic for my thumb and have received the same excellent care!

I had a pain in my left hand and doctor suggested a physio therapy session. Therapist just asked me to do some common exercise and charged more than $550 and unfortunately my insurance couldnt cover 60% of it. I was wondering that when other physio therapists offer $80 for the same treatment how these guys over charging the poor. I think its better We search google and try those exercises before spending huge money for a therapist.

I have gone to Texas Orthopedics now for a broken wrist, hip, and now a finger, as well as back issues. I have seen four different doctors there. Without reservation I will say they are all good and I am very critical when it comes to medical clinicians. My most recent was seeing Dr. Logan and hands-down he was my favorite! He was very personable, he took his time with me, he listened, he looked over the x-ray with me and showed me what was going on. He made a few well-placed jokes and was extremely easy to talk to.I not only recommend Texas Orthopedics I strongly recommend Dr. Logan!

Knees are part of the musculoskeletal system, but it seems like they just wanted to be useless and take my money. They took wrong xray. Why? Because nurse just assumed that I have a sprain in Ankle and not foot. Or may be entire staff was busy discussing the weather. The doctor said I have a sprain - yes I know. Gave me exercise sheet print outs. Did not explain me the exercises, considering there were props used. Fortunately, it was not my first sprain so I knew what questions to ask. I waited in the room for 50 min. Spend less than 5 with the doctor and nurse combined. Waiting for x-ray charges to hit me - which were not needed to be done twice.

My first appointment started as a disaster. The short haired blond lady at the check in said I didnt have an appointment when I made one the day before. Rather than escalate it is to someone she basically acted like she was a victim. I had to push to get a manager involved. The manager stepped in and was nice and the rest of the appointment went well. I suggest they train the front staff to be more customer minded rather then them acting as if I am inconveniencing them.I am editing this because since the first problem I have had good dealings with them and I am increasing my rating. My latest appointment all the staff has been very kind.

I had an excellent experience. Starting with my going back to the examine room a few minutes before my actual appointment time. After a few minutes I was taken for x-rays. Within a few minutes of returning from that Dr. Smith came in. He thoroughly discussed the situation with my knees. We opted for a cortisone injection for now. With the goal of knee replacement in the fall. He recommended different activities that I should do between now and then. ie. Loss weight, strengthen arm muscles for helping with cane or crutch use. Suggested walking in the pool alot to aid in the weight reduction and for strengthening the leg muscles. I highly recommend Dr Smith and Texas Orthopedics to anyone with that need

In the approximately two years I’ve been in Dr.Koval & his NP’s care, I’ve found that they listen, ask apt questions, seem to focus on the things that are important to me (quality of life above all), and they do it with an excellent bedside manner. The staff is pretty nice, with some attitude from front desk. I had my cervical MRI completed here and it was a great experience on September 5th, 2017. They provided music during the screening with a good selection. The MRI tech was extremely friendly. My biggest complaint is that right after my MRI around 12:45, the place was empty. Not a nurse or doctor in sight. Someone came back from lunch and I requested a copy of my insurance which is required to be given same day. They made me fill out an information release form on myself and told me they would call me when the CD was ready. Its now day 9 (business days) and Im in the waiting room still waiting for a copy.

About a year ago I visited Dr. Logan concerned about right hip pain after falling off a bike.He did tell me that he did not want to do hip surgery at that point, I was young 😂 50. We planned to continue with some weight loss to see if there was relief. Unfortunately months later after Bariatric surgery, an almost 50 lb. loss I was still in pain, pain injections and chiropractic services I was at the point of no return with bone on bone pain. Dr. Logan spoke kindly and professionally with me regarding the details. A little over a month now since Dr. Logan performed right total anterior hip replacement and I have a new outlook on life. His team is dedicated to assisting with any questions and Dr. Logan has an amazing bedside manner, as a nurse I am extremely particular about patient follow up and guidance through medical processes. The doctor didn’t even look at my broken toe. Came in the room and got out in less than a minute. He said my toe would heal and whatever I had been doing to it to continue. I said I had been massaging it and taping it since it hurt a lot. He said taping was good and it would hurt for a few more weeks. And left. I couldn’t even ask other questions:do I continue moving it around or keep it still and taped? Shouldn’t it stay rigid like in a cast? The urgent care doctor said it had a big fracture and it would have to be “handled “ by and orthopedic doctor so it would heal properly. This doctor didn’t touch it, looked at swelling, bruising, etc. I called his office the next day to ask these questions, no one has called me back. I definitely would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

Had knee surgery years ago with Texas Ortho. Great experience. This time had a consultation with Dr Bunch to discuss lower back issues. Everyone in the office was great. Very impressed with them. Unfortunately, not so with Dr Bunch. He completely dismissed an abnormality I noticed, never discussed the actual diagnosis (spondylosis) with me, and even though the follow up said that I was told to use ibuprofen and the amount not to exceed, it was never discussed at all.Thankfully, the physical therapist at Tillman explained what spondylosis was, how it manifested itself, and how it related to the abnormality I noticed (that Dr Bunch said was nothing, and many people have it and think its something significant.)Im also unsure how an appointment that I was told would require a $300 deposit (since Im self-pay) turned into a $528 bill. Exam and x-ray. Thats it. Everywhere else I talked to said initial consultation would be $150 + imaging. Bunch was over $400 just for him. Very disappointing.Id probably be looking for a 2nd opinion, but I trust the PT enough that I think it will be fine.

Because I dont want this to be all negative, Ill start with a highlight because one shining star should be recognized. Monica is one of the kindest, most conscientious staff members in this facility. She has put me at ease and made me feel like someone actually cared whereas other folks in this practice have been cold and disinterested. Outside of Monica, Ive never experienced this level of absolute indifference from a medical staff. And whoever answers their phones (she refused to give me her name) is awful; just transferring people without listening to what theyre asking is unacceptable. Nurses (Ben in particular) cant be bothered to return phone calls. Patient CARE is obviously not a priority.Dr. Logan has been decent. If you have a lower extremity injury and will have to drive yourself, you do need to realize that employees take all the front parking and if you can’t go down steps you will literally have to hobble all the way around the non assessable parking lot to get to the building. So either go somewhere else or make sure your injury scores you a handicap parking placard. Even then most of the handicap parking will be gone anyway. And this is at like 8 o’clock in the morning.

Quickest and most complete Dr. Appt Ive ever had. Dr Snowden is very honest and willing to try other alternatives rather than surgery. Would send him again

My visit with Dr. Hardy was great. He took the time to evaluate and discuss the issues I was having. He has a great bedside manner and is a good listener.

Dr. Logan takes time to explain, is thorough, and is thoughtful. He is highly trained and professional but with a manner that puts you at ease. His staff is amazing. I have been to others and he is the BEST!
