I prefer coming to this store because it is in a nice neighborhood. As of today I have not been approached by any panhandler. You also get to shop with a nice group of customers. The main drawback here is the parking. It gets too busy to find parking close to the store. My only less than pleasant experience was one time a cashier was engaging in a long conversation with a customer leading to a longer than normal wait at the line.

Products are pleasingly affordable. It’s hit or miss when it comes to quality service sometimes they are nice sometimes they are not. I live in Castro Valley and will support my community. I just don’t understand why they don’t accept Snap/EBT. I hope it isn’t because of finance profiling or racial profiling. Can’t even say racial because all creed and color may be in this low income program

I love to buy here. All good and fresh. And I consider this place my best place to buy.

Why do I always find something at Trader Joes that I wish I discovered earlier.The Brookie paired with Ice Cream is On Citas!!!How did I not know about this awesome treat earlier... I been missing out!!!

I loveeeee TJ! Their spices, their hummus their microbial enzymes cheese, their jalapeno cheese bread are just a few staples of my pantry. I can spend hours in TJ without getting tired.

TJ was an always is a great visit.They pretty much always have what I need. Just grapped a few healthy snacks.

Ive been going to this place for years! its very good for food and basic stuff but not for unique cooking items (which it makes up for with all the cool treats you can buy!) they arent doing live cooking now because of the pandemic but when they did they always made the best stuff. also if you have kids make sure to get them to ask for stickers!

As a Vegan, I cant think of a better place to shop. I find New, amazing, and delicious things every time I visit and I am rarely disappointed. Its become one of my go-to spots for sure

Outside of the fact that parking may be difficult the prices are pleasingly affordable. The flowers they sale are affordable as well

For a Saturday afternoon shopping trip, wait time to get in wasnt bad. Cart cleaning/disinfecting station in front very nice. Flowers sold out, my bad for leaving it off too late. Not the stores fault. Very nice team member was so helpful. She answered my question about a discontinued item, showed me an alternate. (sorry, I forgot your name). Not as many items being stocked as before but enough variety that I got what I needed. Pricing still as good as I remembered. Parking wasnt an issue at the time I went in.

Always friendly service. I drive from San Leandro and am very happy this location is here. Its much easier to navigate than our old neighborhood TJs (Lakeshore in Oakland).

It was a zoo at 3 pm Monday. Felt like I was at Costco. To make matters worse the check out line I was in was way laid due to the check machine malfunction. We were all held hostage while they tried to figure it out. They tried no less than 15 times to get it to go through until finally they figured it out. 20 minutes later our frozen food was nearly thawed and the cold food no longer cold. Customer service should have figured out a better solution. I wont shop at Castro Valley again

I always feel very comfortable and happy when I visit Trader Joes. It is very nice and helpful stuff, great wine and organic food selection.... Its very be easy to navigate and find everything you need to buy. Great return policy on everything you buy.

Theyre usually stocked up. Love this branch! Moderately crowded from time to time. The checkout personnel are very courteous.

Thanks to the pandemic, its been over a year since I last visited any Trader Joes. After finding out about the Ube Mochi Pancake Mix and the Ube Tea Cookies, I made sure to go there right when they opened on Saturday morning. Everyone was super friendly, and BIG THANKS to Will for helping me out with the Ube cookies. Seriously, he went above and beyond, so someone give him a raise! 5 stars because of him ☺️

Its just another great Trader joes! With great prices and healthy food. ALWAYS busy, usually a line around the building though. I recommend NOT going during peak hours. One note..employees dont seem happy! Ive shopped TJs for several years & this location is the only one that Ive noticed unhappy employees. Kind of a turn off. If I had a choice for another location near me Id shop there but I dont.

If you are familiar with TJs store layout and selection, its like any other TJs. I personally have never bought anything that was bad at any TJs. They stay on trend.Like all TJs this friendly TJ crew also will tell you whats good to try. The best time to shop here is during Fall through the Holiday Season because of all the themed food items that come out only once a year, like TJs Peppermint Joe Joes! This is when you have to stock up and put these boxes in your freezer to last throughout the next year!

17 people in line to GET INTO the store. I left and came back 15 min later, th we line had only moved 3 people! I dont need anything that bad, to wait in line for 30+ min. Especially from TJ.

Trader Joes as a company is a great place to shop for both groceries and products. For the most part their employees are friendly, helpful, they go out their way to help.I dont particularly shop at this location often, only because parking can and has been a pain, its location is not so convenient, it can be difficult to get in and out of and this store is much smaller, so the number of customers who are allowed in is a lot less, which makes the line outside longer.There have been times, where customers in line, including myself have been harassed, by customers trying to find a place to park, strangely, at times there has been an unsafe feeling.There have been times where Ive received dirty looks and/or glares from customers in the store, in line waiting to go in, and even some store employees. Which I tried to ignore, it wasnt worth it to me to get any employees in trouble, by reporting them, it doesnt help anyone when maybe the employee was having a bad day/moment. And besides I know the damage that can be done, by reporting them.Not sure why any other customer would glare at me, for just needing to buy groceries or have food to eat. Seems like a pretty basic common need for everyone who requires food to energize them & function. 🥗🍪🥕🥒🍅🍑🍇🍐🍉🍎🍏🍌🍈🥦🌽🥔🫑

I like all the Trader Joes stores, how I wished there was one in San Leandro, Bay area! Staff very friendly having fun working there. So annoying with all this plastic wrapping though. Definitely, its great for small amount of food, not for big families.

I love TJs but this particular one was way too crowded, new rules about packing and inattentive cashiers. Im used to that at other stores but not at Trader joes.

The place is clean and everythings in its place. The only problem was the line to get in but I understand its part of our life right now. Thanks for keeping us safe Trader Joes!

A lot of specialty items. Small bags of specialty fruit or nuts kind of expensive. Small store.

Great choice of gourmet and globally sourced food items and beverages. Great staff and lively shopping experience. Minus 1 star because they keep running out of certain items and they to source and restock accordingly

Parking is ridiculous here but the staff is nice and they always have my favorite salad so I guess its ok

TJs doesnt even need an explanation. Pleasant staff, great food at reasonable prices and one of the few stores that Ive actually seen wipe their carts down. Thats a win for me!

This Trader Joe’s is great. They have plenty of staff and they are always happy and willing to help. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because of the parking lot. It can be very packed at times and hard to get around.

Ive been coming here for the last 10 years. They are always very nice and they will help you find out things you need if you cant find them. The store is always well stock ( with the exception of the first month of the shelter in place) otherwise everything is well stock. Some things are cheap and others dont.

Good customer service , clean store, great caring natured store . Had item which was bought and was wrong item brought back without receipt and they excepted it and still gave me credit.

Theres ALWAYS a line st Trader Joes when I go, but it does move FAST!! The staff there is also very nice, they have great customer service. They even offer water while we stand in line, which is awesome while we stand in this heat!!

Staff very helpful. Appreciate market traffic flow controlled to give each shopper maximum ease in this small market. Everyone knows the quality and I scored the pumpkin bisque soup!

I am always able to find the specific item I m looking for. The store is well stocked and clean. Yes, there is a line now with Covid19 situation but it moves quickly. I have spent at most 25 minutes waiting to get in. Dont think its to bad.

Always have good stuff and prices are okay.. Always pretty busy. If u are on keto.. gotta try this chocolate called simply lite.. net carbs 2gs per serving. This is the only place I have been able to find this stuff. Its awesome! ..The staff are helpful and very polite.

Fair amount of choices on the shelves.Prices good. Customer service at service desk slow and less than friendly. The better service to customers was from cashiers and floor associates. Line outside was well organized , moved quickly and was well monitored.

After all this time I got there and no line. Miracle. Had a lot of new products. I missed them very much. And my daughter. I went shopping for her favorite things the night she died. And they were playing I song I learned from my auntie when I was a little girl. So it was very pleasant. The staff was very kind.

Everything is good here, but you have to wait in line to get inside the store.

Good social distancing, clean, friendly staff, quick lines and service.

These people are paying attention to the rising COVID numbers. There is a line because they are moderating the number of customers in the store. It allows for proper social distancing. The line moves fast & the customers and staff are all upbeat & friendly. I was impressed that the cashier wiped down EVERYTHING after the previous customer, including the atm machine. And he did it quickly & efficiently. I asked if it was more work and he smiled and said it becomes a habit and he doesnt mind at all. VERY REFRESHING!
