We went into Bright Now Dental, we’d heard good reviews which is part of why we chose it.It was myself and my two son 9 and 10. We were greeted warmly.When they wanted to take X-rays I gave push back, partly due to money concerns and partly the radiation. They were firm on why they needed them but understanding and compassionate with my concerns. And they are about half the price of X-rays we’ve received at other dentists.All in all, they exceeded the expectations!I would refer them without hesitation to any good person.The Dr. is kind, efficient and focused. The assistants were top quality. As was the front desk, especially the manager she went above and beyond and I feel a great warmth for her dedication and kindness.

I just want to take a moment and thank Bright Now! Dental for my amazing experience. As soon as you walk in youre greeted so professional by Samin with a smile, France the assistant is so friendly & caring she goes out her way to answers all your questions with care and joy in her face (Smile) and ease to help. I can definitely say Dr. Lyu is so professional and caring when it comes to taking care of your teeth and doing her work. They have truly made my visit very exciting and professional, Thank you to Dr. Lyu, France, Laura and Samin for making me feel like I was at home. I truly recommend Bright Now! I was in severe pain goin in, after waiting for 2 hrs in the waiting and sitting in the chair for 1 he, they decided to pull 3 teeth, extremely painful, and they said after I do this, there will be no more pain, they didnt prescribe any antibiotics or pain medication, its day 3 and Im still in extreme pain,, this location is on redwood Rd in Castro valley CA, I will be talking to my attorney today! I have so much more I could say about this place but to break it down I do not recommend this place

Freaking run away from this place! I should’ve read the reviews before going in~ I had a very negative experience as well! Deceptive(the plan lady), unprofessional(the assistant on day 8/6), condescending(assistant on day 8/6), and just there to make money. Worked on a wrong teeth and questioned why I was upset! The assistant kept saying I signed and agreement to it, and I said “ I remembered what I said to the dentist and the plan lady and you weren’t there, let me talk to the dentist and I don’t read dental language! I don’t know what a freaking composite 2 is! I just know which teeth I wanted to work on and I told the dentist and the plan lady! “ Turns put the plan lady made a mistake on the treatment plan and put the wrong teeth number. However this assistant’s attitude is bad news, she wasn’t not sympathetic at all and never apologized! Maybe one day ur body get work done the wrong part and maybe u can understand how I feel.Cleaning took 2 mins of zooming from one side to the other. And they didn’t check my gum pocketI left traumatized then realized they didn’t do the irrigation work that I paid for and I have left 3 voicemails and no one returned on call.

Good luck going to that Dentist place. Haha talk about the waiting game. From the time you get checked in at counter,then to go back to nurse and further Doctor what a joke. Waste of time that’s all I can say

I didnt get to my appointment even though they are take my insurance.The kept insisting that I confirm the time but last minute declined me and that they are so busy all the time. I didnt get any warm feelings for even initially booking but thought, okay this is close so maybe I try it.My insurance popped up as being accepted but the front desk lady was rude and un-helpful.Even scheduling an appointment was stressful and they were rude.So now have to rush to find another dentist.Will not be recommending this place. I also see other negative reviews and 100% agree with them.

Finally, I think I have found a good fit with Dr. Lyu and her staff at Bright Now Dental and me. This office seems to take the patients perspective more seriously than those at Smile Dentistry. They made a way to respond positively to my main concern and cleaned my teeth after no dental appointments during the pandemic. Elonda, her assistant, was excellent at cleaning deep coffee and tea stains also. I am totally impressed.

The nurse was nice and comical. Also the Dentist Doctor was very nice as well. Overall I would recommend a visit.

Horrible service, they only answer the phone if youre a new customer, if you press 2 for returning customers they will not answer at all. I regret getting my braces here, the orthodontist is only there once a month, something they dont tell you before you sign the contract. I had a appointment today for a cleaning but they couldnt do it because the orthodontist wasnt there to take my wire off. Theyre really bad at scheduling and its really hard to get a hold of them if you need to change your appointment or just need info. If I were you I would not choose this dentist

5 stars as in the worst dental experience ever and that’s saying a lot being I’m in my 50ty’s. Bright Now Dental in Castro Valley has the rudest dental assistant imaginable. Keeping a long story short she even chased me out of the building onto the public sidewalk screaming I had to pay for my teeth. This took place after she escorted me out, I’m quoting her own words. Needless to say I had paid for my dental work in advance in full and did nothing to in courage her behavior. Next time the dental assistant should check with her receptionist before making false accusations. Also she should learn to keep her personal problems at home.

I was actually very nervous walking in because I have been neglecting to go to a dentist for a number of years. Yet, I had a very awesome experience coming into this clinic. Jo and Dr. Lu are spectacular individuals. They made me feel welcomed, safe and most importantly, well taken care of. They were honest and direct with treatment options and what had to be done for the long-term care of my teeth. I forward to my next appointment. Thanks guys!

Called to make an appointment and they never pick up. Left a message and no response.When they finally decide to pick up i hear them gossippin but no response. So finally i get through and get an appointment at 3.20pm. I get off 2hrs early to make it to the appointment and they say i dont have an appointment. Thanks i wont be smiling at all.

The staff was very nice and patience. The procedure itself was close to perfect because, I had almost the same procedure done a year ago and it didnt compare to this recent one...I would like to personally thank the Dr who did my precedure..She did a wonderful job..

Best dentist I’ve been to in a while. Everyone is super friendly and helpful! Jill has been the best since day 1, this place is truly lucky to have her!

I contacted Bright Now because the reviews were good. Well I scheduled an appointment and it was for December 2020 before my newly acquired benefits expired. I actually made 2 appts to complete the work. I called them to verify the amount that I would have to pay out-of-pocket and informed that my appt was cancelled and that I would need to reschedule. Mind you this is after calling repeatedly, I finally got the receptionist to reschedule the appt. Made a new appt and someone called me and told me that that appt was cancelled and that the other one was also cancelled because they could not do my deep cleaning due to the machine not working properly, but they would be happy to make me a new appt in January 2021. I declined because they made me lose $1,600 in benefits for 2020. If there machine was broken they should have told me that initially when I made the first appt. I will not be coming back to them and I am very disappointed with the way they convey information to patients and their operational services.

I not sure about this place. I went for my regular cleaning/quadrant charged me some items that they werent sure if the insurance will cover, so I end up paying lots more than my deductibles. Then when I received the insurance bill, they charged almost all yearly premium allowance. I needed a root canal treatment but I couldnt do it because their estimate was outrageous, couldnt afford to do. Most likely I wont go back to this branch.

The doctor and the staff / attendants on the day we visited 3/5/20 at 10am were warm ,friendly and took time to explained all the procedures..Excellent service.Place is clean with nice reception area. ( would it be better if have drinking water in dispenser ) .Billing wise- Pre -treatment estimation were presented with options to consider.Keep up the good work and maintain it with excellent ! Very professional and patient. Everyone was welcoming and explained what was happening and what my options would were. Very thorough with scheduling.

Their lack of interest in treating customers with respect and care is disturbing. Would not recommend as there are many other locations that have equal or better skills but a higher standard of respect for their clients.

-Business hours change according to Staff on hand ie; orthodontist, dentist...-Benefits are not confirmed nor understood by staff.-They charge you a fee without even knowing your insurance fee allowance. For the services rendered, mine was at 100%-One month later, still NO claim was sent to my insurance. I was told to send in my receipt to my insurance for a reimbursement. Ummm, how about actually sending in a claim.Horrible experience, and customer service. I definitely would NOT recommend.

The staff was very knowledgeable and gave me sound advice. My overall experience couldn’t have been better.

Would give 0 stars for the poor attitude of the lady working the front desk.
