This place is great. I have special eye needs thus I have always found it difficult when it came to getting fitted for contacts. The doctor at Americas Best in Castro Valley is very knowledgeable and professional. The entire staff is friendly and very patient with me. Out of all the optometrists I have been to over the course of my life, Americas Best is really the best!

Extremely nice and knowledgeable staff, came here just to try it and ended up bringing both my parents. The 70 dollar promotion seems to be always valid as long as you dont get any extras. I would definitely recommend coming to this place to get a new set of glasses.

Lol went to this one in castro valley ca it says on the sign outside if the customer is fully vaccinated no mask required. I was asked to leave because I had no mask. Mmmmm. Dont know if they can read their own sign so probably not the best place to buy glasses from.

Got 2 great pair of glasses that fit well n the service is awesome including the eye exam.

Partner went in. Whoever did the insurance transposed numbers or whatever, in short they messed up. Had to pay out of pocket, called insurance and they said he was covered. Called back and argued with whoever that there was coverage. After a back and forth of that, they realized their mistake and requested he come back on a separate occasion so they could give him a refund. In addition, without explanation of extra imaging not being covered under insurance which they said he didn’t have. He spent 2x the amount of the co pay of the exam for the extra imaging. Insurance explained they cover frames up to 120$. As we sit here now, the technician told us the cost is 94.95$. We had to argue that that wasn’t right. Restarting the whole process, she was able to bill insurance. There is an additional co pay of 10$ for lenses. And now it turns out eye exam was free no copay. They owed us more refund. Taking prescription and getting glasses elsewhere.

This place seems so shady. I called to make an eye exam appointment and they had a 15 to 20 second spiel about how they are the best. I then asked if they took my insurance and the lady on the phone said no but yes well take it at 40% discount. I read the reviews, thanks for the warning! They are notorious for bad quality glasses and services, ran away with my money fast!

I have been going to the CV location for 2yrs. Never ever had a bad experience there. Dr. Lee is so nice and very thorough. Ricardo helped with choosing my glasses. He is the best! Customer service is awesome. Thank you all...Stella H.

I was in Northern California to visit my sister. I unfortunately stepped on my glasses. I am unable to drive at night without them. So panic set in. I googled America’s Best and found one very close to my sisters home. I dropped them off in the morning. The tech would not be in until noon. Andrew the tech called me as soon as he assessed the damage. He didn’t promise anything, but said he would do his best to make my glasses wearable for the duration of my trip. I was so grateful. The general staff oh, their terrific. Thats the front of house. Back of house thats an entire different story.. Second Best, Americas Last Chance, & terrible rate. An optometrists with an attitude of an unused rocket scientist college degree, so she speaks down to you, & got stuck here. And the manager you just feel sorry for the guy. Place needs some serious help.

The staff is very polite, I was provided with a very thorough exam.

Had my eyes checked here and everything went well and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back in the future. Dr. Miranda Lee was very helpful; I had an eyelash growing into my eye, and she removed it for me.

My wife purchased a pair of glasses and after 3 visits over 3 months, the glasses are not right and the company will not honor its guarantee. At this point they stopped corresponding to us. Do not do business with this company.

I needed glasses and seen the commercials a few times.So lets try them sense they were going to open a brand new store in a couple of days .My exam was as smooth as can be.I ended up buying 4 pairs of glasses Staff was very helpful and friendly .Asst Mgr Hope was the nicest person you will ever meet.This was a great experience.

This is the most horrible glasses company Ive ever been such a big regret...a week after I had my glasses I went back to have them adjusted because it was loose then they took it apart in pieces and said they cannot fix it because of the screws and they cannot send it back to the manufacturer because I did not purchase the warranty. First of all no one has told me any warranty they just handed my glasses back in pieces I left with my Sister with frustration but my sister notice that I was furious about it she went back to the store and start screaming to have my glasses put back that way it was and instructed them use small screws otherwise shed just walk out and left the glasses they put it back but it didnt get fix. What an ordeal, we were there for almost one hour and there are more people complaining about their glasses and the service..its like hell. NEVER AGAIN...I WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO THE AMERICAS BEST GLASSES AND CONTACTS....EVER EVER AGAIN. Be aware before you step in...I would not recommend.

Purchased 2 eyeglasses but they are cheap in quality. Lenses pop out cheap frames bend easy ..very dissappointed.
