Beautiful and modern Ulta location in the Castle Rock Promenade Shopping Center, if you love beauty and fantastic service then this is the place for you! Clean and well maintained beauty store with a Benefit brow bar inside and close proximity to lots of local dining and shopping in Castle Rock. Very friendly and welcoming staff, went above and beyond to try and book us for an eyebrow appointment and I ended up being a bit late getting back to Ulta that day. Although they were busy and unable to keep my appointment it was completely understandable because we didn’t get back on time and everything worked out in the end. They tried to do what they could to book us for a better time slot but we weren’t in Castle Rock for very long, so we weren’t able to make that happen. On the bright side I was able to find everything I needed here and had a great shopping experience regardless. Would definitely shop here again and their customer service was excellent. Would highly recommend.

First off, I wanted to start out by saying this location is nice and clean. I’ve never had an issue with any products I have bought from this particular Ulta, and the employees always appear hygienic and professional. However, I can almost NEVER find what I’m looking for here. They always seem to be out of stock of most items, or just don’t really carry a large selection in general. It’s disappointing, as I usually find all the items I’m searching for when I visit other locations. The employees also aren’t very helpful when it comes to product knowledge, and no one really checks in with you periodically while shopping. Expect to walk around aimlessly looking for a product, only to discover it probably isn’t in stock.

By far the best and now ONLY Ulta I will go to. Its worth the drive. Anders is exception and knows his stuff. I usually dread going to Ulta because usually everyone is distracted and not very elpful. Not to mention theres normally (not this location) 10 staff members just chilling while only one is working the register with a long line.. I live 45 min from Castlerock but was there for the day to see friends and shop. From now on if I need make up, etc, only this location and hopefully advice from Anders. Thank you for your kindness and the nice, professional store.

I went into the store to buy a pair of barber scissors. They had several. When I checked out I was asked for my phone number. I said no and was told that I couldnt do a return without it. I suggested that if I had a printed receipt and didnt unpackage the scissors I couldnt get a refund and the answer was no. If that are that desperate to send their junk mail out then they arent the store for me. Never again will I set foot into an ULTA

Scheduling an appointment for a haircut online was very easy and Mary did a phenomenal job cutting my hair. I really feel like she listened and helped me get exactly what I wanted.

They always have great products and knowledgeable staff!

Ashley is a supposed manager of this store and she literally never even acknowledged me once or asked if I needed help. When I asked for help, I was told by another associate they were short staffed and that Ashley needed to organize the store before closing. To be clear, I was in the store for a long time and watched her and another associate literally fiddling around with products and chatting - never once displaying any sort of customer service or giving any indication they were “Beauty Advisors”. Thanks Ashley for putting customers first and not caring if they were even upset about your rudeness. I’ll drive to Lone Tree from here on out and I’ll be returning the $137 in product I just spent here too.

If you have Ultamate Rewards points be careful!!! Even if youre a platinum member they will expire. They lie and mislead. And as somebody who has been devoted to Ulta for over 12 years I am saddened and disappointed that Im not shopping here anymore. They lost a customer over $23 worth of reward points. Amazon is amazing yall give your money to Jeff Bezos instead. Ulta will be Chapter 11 soon!! Hope they beef up their online side...

I love this Ulta. Went to the salon and she did great on my cut and color! She was super open and non judgmental of the style I wanted. And gave me great advice for some makeup I picked up after.

I came in with a baby in a stroller and a toddler whose hand I held. I struggled getting through the two sets of doors and clearly could have used help getting through the doors. I was surprised that the woman stood there watching me struggle and didn’t offer to hold a door open. The employees usually stand in front of the doors to great customers, I wasn’t even greeted.Then leaving three employees stood by the door and watched me struggle to leave through the same sets of doors. A very kind woman who was entering the store actually helped me out. So it was apparent that I needed help to another customer.What is the point of having employees stand in front of the doors if they don’t greet you, talk amongst themselves and watch you struggle with the doors? Bummed by the lack of customer service and absence of kindness. Please talk to your employees.

Good luck getting an appointment at the salon. I tried to schedule a facial and they canceled my appointment two days in a row. In the past I’ve tried to schedule hair appointments and they have nothing available within two weeks and don’t even offer anything further out. I’ve tried to schedule for lashes and same story, nothing available. So either they need more help or need to offer less services. I will take my business elsewhere because well, apparently I have to.

Great clean store and well organized.

This Ulta is somehow the perfect blend of attentive and leave you to do your shopping. They were quick to help when I had questions but didn’t hover or continuously ask if I needed help. They also have a really good selection and everyone that helped me was super friendly!

I was told that Shawna was the girl to see when it came to hair. I have had my hair bleached white and touched up prior, so I had no worries. Shawna was nice, but the touch up on my roots is horrible! Its two different colors, and the new growth is darker and brassy. Even trying to fix it at home with a toner didnt help at all, and now Im embarrassed to go outside. Shawna is already booked to the ends of the earth, so I doubt Ill ever see her to even have her correct her mistake.

This is my favorite Ulta! Ever time I’m here I’m treated so kindly. Ever employee here is so friendly and knowledgeable! I don’t remember the man’s name but he was fantastic! Knew so much about the products the store sold, made great recommendations and was just fun to talk to! I wish I lived closer to this store!

WOW. Incredibly rude girls. I overheard the hair salon girls talking awful about customers who were in the store. Very, very unprofessional. I will drive the extra miles to avoid this location. Yuck. I have never felt so judged and so uncomfortable to be in a store in my entire life.

The ladies here are fantastic and friendly. Only advice is help find a product someone is looking for before you try to up sell them on something else.

I had my makeup done for a Halloween party. She did a fantastic job making me look like Betty Boop. I wish I could post a picture. I will definitely come again for my next event.

So many options at Ulta. Everything is sorted by company/brand and usage. So makeup is together, bath products together, and hair products together. Clean and orderly store, with a salon in the back. Sometimes the customer service representatives are super knowledgeable, other times they are less than helpful, seems like a luck of the draw situation.

They have all the products you could ever need. Based on my last few visits I would recommend that the help get a better idea of where their products are at.

Purchased a nice Ulta hard Makeup case with a mirror, 3 brushes and makeup on Black Friday. Gave it to my daughter for Christmas and 5 days later the handle breaks (and shes only carried it twice). Called Ulta and the only thing that can be done is a return. That would be great if she didnt like all the makeup. Asked if we could get another case and nope. I wont be buying Ulta brand products in the future.

Employees allowed me to wander around, right past them, never offering to help until I walked back to the register to ask for help. They dont carry the product advertised online as being here.

They are very helpful here! One of the girls was so serious about helping me find the contour powder I was looking for, it took about 20 minutes then she got my phone number to text me if she remembered the exact one we were looking for.

Its ulta. You know what they do. This store is large, clean and has a great selection of all my favorite brands. It also has a reasonable K beauty skin care section, which is nice cus I like to give these products are not try every now and then.

I love this store! I dont have to drive all the way up to Park Meadows for Sephora anymore. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and I always enjoy coming to this Ulta.

Customer service is awful, be ready to stand in line for an eternity. When Ive been there are almost no customers and Ulta employees just standing everywhere, which seems like a good thing, but then you go to check out. There is always just one cashier. I was there last week and I was next in line for over 10 min. The lady working there seemed clueless and the customer was equally dumb. Not once did this employee call to have someone else at the registers help out. She just looked confused. Then finally she called a manager to help her with the current customer and then they both stood there helping this lady update her address because God forbid you cant get a coupon mailed so you can save $3. Finally the original cashier realized that staring at the back of her managers head might not be the most productive use of time and she opened a new register to check me out. Seriously Id rather drive to the ulta near park meadows then go here again even though its right down the street.

Reasonable selection, but pretty pricy. Staff are aloof and not especially nice. I am giving 2 stars for a more specific reason though.My wife came in a few months ago to get her hair done. The stylist was young, her hair colored orange I think, cocky, pure snowflake. She basically chopped her hair and did not follow what she wanted done. I mean chopped it it. We have all had bad haircuts, that is what happens. But it was the way the stylist responded when dissatisfaction was expressed. Again, cocky, apathetic, aloof, rude. It made a tolerable situation in to an unreasonably terrible experience.When my wife complainrd to the manager at least she was offered a free redo. But there was no refund..... Bad business. Shall not be returning ever.Now for me, I went in to buy a hairdryer for mothers day. I was looking for something very quiet. I was helped by another young, aloof, apathetic snowflake. I found a model and asked to hear it. She literally tried to turn it on and there was no power from the socket. She literally said, oh well, we cant get it to work. I responded asking if I could try another socket since I needed to hear how quiet it was. She actaully sighed.... Not kidding... Sighed. Switched sockets and it worked. It was quiet but I did not purchase it solely based on this girls attitude. 2 stars total since the greet staff are usually pretty nice. But once in, nope. Bad experiences.

This store location that had everything I wanted. One clerk was very helpful. The cashier was friendly.

Summer was so helpful and kind. She worked with me until we found the perfect makeup the cover my melasma. Shes knowledgeable and this was a great experience at ulta. No more Highlands Ranch Ulta for me.

I found the makeup gurus at this Castle Rock Ulta Beauty to be not only infinitely more knowledgable about their products and are a very tight-knit group that are all aware of their customers needs but more importantly, they were very considerate and did not rush me with my browsing. I have not had such good luck in my past visits at other Ulta locations where I found the employees to be judgmental, preoccupied and generally unhelpful which is part of the reason that I gave the 4-star rating. The other reason is because of the exclusivity rights that Ulta and Sephora have on seemingly random items within my favorite brands. For example, I love itCosmetics but I found out today that one of the primers and CC foundation that I want to try can only be purchased at Sephora making my day that much more time consuming to get what I need. On that note...Happy hunting!!

This store is ALWAYS out of everything I need! How are people suppose to shop cruelty free when they never stay stocked in those departments. EVERY TIME I go they are out of my Smashbox, Anastasia AND Urban Decay products. I was so excited to get an Ulta in Castle Rock but now Im super disappointment with the store. Very poorly run.

Always so eager to help and so so sweet

I usually don’t have a problem with this location, but today I left very disappointed. I came in to get my brows waxed and when I asked the two employees standing around gossiping to eachother they both stopped and looked at eachother and then finally the woman said “I don’t have enough time because I’m off soon but I’ll try and do them really quick” which already worried me. I sat down and tried to be polite but she was completely ignoring me and not responding to any of my compliments or questions, she then continued to talk about how quickly she needed to wax me so that she could get out of there. She asked if I had used a chemical on my face in the last 24 hours and I told her my face wash has it but I hadn’t used it in a couple days and so she said she couldn’t wax me. Iv never had this problem before so I told her that and I told her that it hadn’t been used in the past 24 hours and she continued to argue with me refusing to wax me and going on to say the other employees who have waxed me before should lose their license. I told her that I can’t not use my face wash because of my acne and she replied with “it’s not my problem that you don’t have good skin.”.....I can get over that she wouldn’t do my brows, but the fact that I received that comment and such negative energy from an employee at a beauty store, where you should not feel self conscious or ashamed of how you look in any way and the employees are there to help you with that, and to help you bring out your beauty no matter what you look like, appalls me.

So happy Ulta opened in castle rock! I didnt realize how many different brands they actually carry...

I went in with my mother, sister in law, and cousin in law around 8:00. We walked in were greeted by an older lady (Heather I believe thats the name on my receipt) which is usual for any Ulta. However, I was looking for foundation so I started trying to color match myself (they always give me a shade too light, so I usually dont ask for help) my sister in law and cousin in law were looking at Urban Decay and trying on testers. Heather made us feel so incredibly uncomfortable as she stood at the end of the aisle and watched us as if we were going to steal. Every time we would move to a different section in the store she followed, and then had the nerve to ask why I was trying on so many different types of foundation. I didnt know it was illegal to try on the testers (which it isnt and no one has ever been rude about it before) they put out! I guess a Caucasian like her will never know what it feels like to be racially profiled because of the color of your skin, maybe we werent dressed classy enough for her, or maybe spending $85 in there wasnt enough. Save your time and go to another Ulta, I always felt like I was cheating on Ulta with Sephora but Id rather go to Sephora where Im not watched like a hawk!

I had the worst experience ever at the ulta in castlerock, they were super rude about everything, judged me when i had no makeup on and gave me dirty looks, i was looking at 2 shampoos and the lady told me those ones specifically were on sale and when i went to check out they were saying it wasn’t and then charged me full price on another shampoo that was supposed to be on sale and i had to go back and return it, they didn’t even say sorry, and i bought a lipbalm and when i opened it it was totally ruined

I was in there with my buddy looking at colognes and every staff member kept on asking us if we’re finding everything alright. i get it its their job but i felt like if they were watching us the whole time i felt very uncomfortable.

I went into Ulta at 4, there were not a lot of people in there probably 5 customers. I was in there for about 30 minutes. When I came in I was greeted, which was great! Then, I was in there for about 2 minutes a lady came up to me asking if I was finding everything ok, I said I was finding everything ok. Then for rest of the time that I was in there, many employees passed me, there was no check up or anything. When I did ask for help, they seemed annoyed and like it was a hasle. Usually when I go in to an Ulta, every time I even pass by an employee, they always asking if Im finding everything ok. That was not the case here.

Not a fan of the employees they are rude if you arent a part of their rewards program and they ask for too much information when checking out creating very long lines.

The associates arent very interested in helping customers. They are more interested in gossiping with each other.

Ive been to the new location in Castle Rock twice and both times they did not have what I wanted in stock. Whoever is handling their inventory is not staying on top of what needs to be reordered.

They carry a very wide selection of cosmetics and hair items. If they dont carry it youll have a hard time finding it elsewhere.

Employees were super helpful and knowledgable.

Great variety of product, accessable, helpful, good customer service.
