This is such a cute boutique/saloon. I felt like royalty my hair was blown dry by the owner and my hair stylist. I will definitely come back for round two.

For my first time in this was the absolute best experience in a hair salon Ive ever had! I really needed a change, something that would help me take a big step forward. First off the salon and boutique are the cutest, cleanest most welcoming space to be in. Second this review is really for Amber, my appointment was with her, she took my ideas and got creative with the inspiration of me wanting pop & edge. She did exactly that, my hair looks incredible, Feels incredible, this is by far the best my hair has ever looked lol the cut, the color its just stunning, cute and so fun exactly what I needed! On top of all this it was just an absolute pleasure talking with her the whole time! I have so much appreciation she lended an ear as I just talked and talked. She is a sweetheart, and gave me a little neck massage and the best scalp massage during my shampooing. I was at the salon for almost 4 hours and it honestly didnt feel like that long at all, good company and treating yourself makes time fly! Highly recommend :)

I just went to Nixon and Company today for the first time and had a hair appointment with Lauren. It was technically a color correction from all the bad work I’ve had done on my hair in the past from other salons. It looked pretty bad when I walked in and I’m very picky about my hair. However, I immediately was hopefully when I walked in to Nixon and Co.’s incredibly clean and relaxing environment. The boutique and salon have an impeccable ambiance, and service wise, I have never had a better hair appointment and have never left a salon as happy and satisfied with the outcome as I did today. My hair looks insanely beautiful. I was shocked that Lauren was even able to achieve the gorgeously blended result that she did. She was fantastic as well as professional and calculated with her color application. To give a better point of reference, I will share that when I walked into the salon my hair was orange/gold on the ends and had a harsh line where a bad reddish brown shadow root had been applied by another salon. When I walked out, my roots where blended and matched precisely to my own natural color, a rich brown, and was blended down into a cool beige bronde (brown/blonde) that has so much dimension it looks like a true balayage. I couldn’t be happier and am so thrilled to have found a salon close to home with a fantastic stylist. I won’t be going anywhere else in the future. I highly suggest you to check out Nixon and Company if you haven’t been happy with your hair in the past and are looking for a new salon. And I also highly suggest Lauren as a stylist (I haven’t tried any other stylists and won’t now that I found one that I’m very happy with, but I’m sure they are all great). Adore this team of stylists and even more importantly the owner Kelly is incredible!! I enjoy my experience every time I go in to have my long blonde lockes tended to. The difference that keeps me coming back to Nixon is the atmosphere, the care, and knowledge that each of the stylists have. This isnt a rent a booth place, it is a place where knowledge about hair and its complexity as well as trends are fostered. The owner Kelly cares about all of the clients who walks through her doors and has built an amazing team. Allison tended to my blonde today with this amazing balayage - shes absolutely wonderful!!

Nixon & CO is not only a great boutique with quality products but it is run by such an amazing group of people! Whenever Im in the shop I feel so welcome, they always help me pick out the best items. I recently placed an order online and received a personal email stating that an item was back ordered which I really appreciated! Nothing is worse than placing an order that arrives late with no explanation. Not only did I receive the email but I also received a text message when the product arrived in store modeling the size options (which i had been on the fence about). I felt so valued as a customer. As if that werent enough when my package arrived there was a hand written letter, a chapstick and a coupon code for 20% off my next order. ABOVE AND BEYOND. I love this place!!

So the colorist, Aly, was awesome. She was so sweet and did such a wonderful job. Before I brought my daughter, we called to make sure all employees would be following the state mandate and wearing masks. Aly wore a mask which was selfless and very much appreciated. My daughter get very comfortable. Then other stylists came out to see clients and they were NOT wearing masks. Unbelievable. I couldn’t grab my 15 year old and leave because she already had color on her hair. Thank goodness she was wearing a mask as was I. Other clients weren’t wearing masks either. I felt so unsafe. The fact that they lied is appalling. We specifically called and asked if they wore masks. The lady at the front desk never ever wore a mask. Never. I saw her with my own eyes. The stylist with short blond hair never wore a mask. The very tall stylist never wore a mask. The stylist with long light green hair didn’t wear a mask with one client and then wore one with another client. I understand that some people are opposed to mask wearing. However, I think it’s up to a place of business to be honest when asked if everyone will be wearing masks. Then it’s up to the client to decide whether or not they want to proceed with the appointment. Like I said, Aly was absolutely amazing and respectful, but others in that place were not. Not very responsible at all.

I absolutely love the style of the salon and think this is a great place to check out. I got exactly what I wanted and my hair has never looked better ! The whole staff was so friendly and Allison did an amazing job. Definitely coming back.

Melissa is an amazing hairstylist! She knows hair inside and out and never fails to do the best cut for your face. Cute selection of clothing in the boutique. I can always find something new and different to add to my closet.

Ally is THE BEST!!! She consulted with me before getting started to fully understand what I was wanting and making suggestions I would not have thought about based on what I was wanting/my hair type/my daily routine. Color and cut turned out great and the products she recommended have given me significantly noticeable results. I also love the boutique!

I had a appointment in August right before my trip and they had my appointment at the wrong time and basically said they were sorry but never offered to accommodate me in any way. It was frustrating because this has happened to me several times.

I was a client at Nixon and Company (even when it was Visions in Happy Canyon) for almost 10 years. Unfortunately, I have decided that I will not be going back because of the horrible treatment of employees. There is clearly no respect for the employees from the owner. She is regularly snapping at the apprentice and the receptionists. I noticed that they very quickly cycle through receptionists... clearly there is a management problem. I also couldnt help but feel like I was being talked about after I left. The overall vibe is very snobby and fake. I would not recommend supporting an establishment like this.

I finally found “my salon” Alyssa does the most amazing job on my highlights and cuts. Also the atmosphere of Nixon & Co is beautiful, sunny and has a cool modern/industrial feel. The boutique is full of great unique pieces as well if you want to shop..I am so happy I found this salon. I won’t go anywhere else!!- Jennifer DesRosiers

I have been visiting Nixon & Co for over eight years now and could not be happier with the salon. Upon entering, its such a pleasant atmosphere. Im always greeted very warmly and made to feel very welcome, being offered a beverage every time. Along with the salon, the have a lovely boutique offering gorgeous, unique clothing and accessories! They have many extremely talented stylists; I have always seen Amber for my cut and color. She listens to what I want and offers suggestions when I ask for them. When I moved here I had the same stylist my whole life at my home town. It took a lot to find somebody I fully trusted again. I originally had Natalie, now I have Kelly. I have so much trust in her that I actually chopped all my hair off to a pixie like I had wanted for years. She does an amazing job at listening to what I want and giving an amazing cut and color

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the salon. I went in as a hair model, Amanda did both a cut and balayage color. She took her time to make sure everything was perfect and very thorough. I love the added boutique, didn’t have time to shop but will definitely go back.

I actually loved this place until I recognized the owner as the girl who stole my weights at orange theory. And she was like sneaky about it and got snippy when I said hey Im using those. There are plenty of talented stylist around here. I dont have to go to her salon. And the clothing they sell in the boutique looks like Mary Kate and Ashley Olsens closet was robbed by bag ladies.

Ally is great! I got my first balyage from her and love how it turned out. Ally was very professional and took great attention to detail making sure the color was exactly like the picture I had brought in to reference. She also recommended products so I could take care of my color but still stay in my budget. I will definantly be going back to her!

I made a hair appointment. I called to cancel it the day before and also I confirmed with the girl on the phone that I would be in the day of the appointment which was the following day to pay for the full hair plus tip. I did this because I didnt want the hairstylist to miss out ont any income.Today several weeks later, I called to make the hair appointment and give the prepaid haircut with tip to my daughter. She came in to get her haircut and when finished they hassled her about wanting more money. My daughter is very unhappy with the haircut and said that the whole situation was extremely embarrassing and uncomfortable. Nixon & Co handled this situation very unprofessional ! We are so disappointed that they couldnt go above and beyond to make a young girl comfortable and 100% happy with their services. she is 100% unhappy with the haircut. Integrity, they get a zero . We will NOT be back.

I rarely take time to write reviews but I found the perfect stylist after 30+ years so I wanted to share. Im not sure how long Gretchen has been with Nixon & Co but shes been cutting and highlighting my hair for 6+ months or thereabouts. My hair has never looked better with the highlights and lowlights Gretchen suggested and the compliments I receive are endless. Whats not to love. Gretchen is a super pro and has a wonderful personality which is a bonus. The Salon itself has a great look too.

I was looking for a men’s salon in Castlerock and saw a bunch of choices on my Google search. I decided to try this salon and have not been disappointed. It is very easy to locate and has ample car parking. The interior of the salon spaceis Spacious and very clean and also has a boutique inside. My hairstylist, Sherri, is very nice and open to hearing any concerns about any changes in style that I wish. The prices are very comparable and affordable. They also haveHair products for sale.Another thing to know is there a few restaurants/bars in the area at a walkable distance and also CVS pharmacy nearby.

Love my stylist. This place carries all the high end hair products that I love. Also a lovely little clothing boutique.
