Before you purchase a test kit from this company think twice and shop around. Other companies may be a bit more expensive but the saying you get what you pay for truly applies here. This company gets zero stars for customer service.I purchased a radon kit from Amazon that included a return shipping label, ran the test sent it back and two weeks later received notification from alpha energy labs that due to shipping delays they were unable to run that sample. I understand during Covid times issues like this are possible. They agreed to send me a replacement test. I explain to them the urgency as my wife was in her final stages of pregnancy and we wanted to make sure that our home was safe for our newborn. Another week went by and still no replacement test, at this point they overnight shipped a test unit to us. Both replacements arrived same day. I spoke with Marc from their customer service department and explain to him that I was going to be running both test kits and shipping them in. They agreed to provide results for the second kit free of charge as a courtesy for our inconvenience.Needless to say we were only provided results for one of the kits. He agreed to provide the secondary results just to get me off the phone. It’s been several weeks and still no results. Extremely disappointed in this company. I will look for another option moving forward as we continue to test radon levels in our home.

I ordered a mold test. They misspelled the email for the results. They had the correct one for the confirmation of ordering. Customer service lady hung up on me & refused to help. So far not a great company.. she’s an awful lady & the only one that seems to answer the phone with multiple different numbers I’ve called. Would definitely not go thru them again. I still have not received my results!

Im sure that Alpha Energy does an accurate job with radon tests. I mailed mine out to them yesterday. However, I want all customers to be aware of the so-called discount mailing option. For $6, Alpha Energy offers a mailing label you can print out, which is supposed to be a Prepaid FedExSmartPost Return. I did so, and brought it to a UPS/FedEx store for shipping. I was told that the mailing label was for the USPS, not FedEx. I returned my kit via UPS for much more money, (which I dont mind), but was bothered by the inaccurate mailing offer from Alpha Energy. I called Alpha Energy and told them that the test kit came with several warnings not to return the kit via USPS, and that I wanted the $6 refunded. At first, they said the mailing label was accurate; that the USPS delivers the package to FedEX for delivery to them. This made no sense, since I was at a FedEx Facility, and they would not accept the package.Finally, Alpha Energy relented and said they would refund the $6. So, this is just a heads up, NOT to purchase the prepaid return label. I rated Alpha Energy only 2 stars for this snafu, though Im sure I will be more pleased with the way they handle the testing process. I will update my review when the process it done.

I purchased a Radon kit and sent it back with a $10 bill to cover for the NJ Radon fee. The company claimed they did not receive the money. Now they refuse to release the tests results to me.The phone support is rude and not willing to help. Email support answer was the same.Just avoid, not nice people.

I received the radon test report on the same day that they received my sample in their lab. I also contacted them by phone and they replied at all my questions accurately and nicely.
