My mom is here in independent living. She has been for almost 10 years and she will be 100 this year. This is a “Cadillac” facility. She loves it. The staff is top notch and the facilities excellent. Cost is not for the faint of heart. For most there is a pricey buy-in that is based on the size of unit but what is hard is the 3-5% annual escalator on your monthly “room and board” fees that also vary with the size of your unit. So you need to prepared for that. In 9 years the monthly fee has increased over 1400/month, from around 4800 a month to 6200/month for a 1300 sq ft unit, well in excess of inflation so if you are on a small fixed income this place will not work for you. If cost is not a concern, then go for it. I understand there is a lengthy waiting list for Two bedroom units.

I work at an agency who has clients at Eskaton.I am a caregiver who sees my clients a couple times a week.Today I came into the build through a side door to avoid the rain! I ran into the Director, he noticed I was not wearing my mask. I apologized trying to go to my car he stopped me demanding who I was where Im from who I worked for...I was not impressed with him as he very rude and demanding! After I gave him what he asked for he said now you can go to your car and get your mask!So I dont think your director should treat visitors that way. It was very uncomfortable and I felt he was attacking me. Not good!

This is a wonderful community and a great place to visit. I only wish I was a few years older and could live here myself! At least I am lucky enough to work for Eskaton which gives me the opportunity to visit this community periodically. The residents and team members are like family and makes this place awesome. I would recommend this community ANY day!

I came alone to Eskaton Carmichael- my husband died suddenly a month before the planned move. This has been exactly the right place for me to begin to heal- everyone- staff and residents alike,- has been so warmly welcoming, and it is genuine, not part of a job.I feel so at home and safe and motivated to make a new path here. And the food is great!! If one is lonely, bored or hungry here, it is their own fault! Truly a cruise without leaving the dock!

Coming to live at Eskaton Village Carmichael was the BEST decision Karl Bucholz and I have made. We moved here at ages 70 and 71, have lived here eight plus years, and are delighted with this community. The staff are professional, friendly, treat us with dignity and respect, yet are not patronizing or superior in their manner. They make us feel like we are colleagues in a joint effort to make the aging experience better. We love the spacious grounds and beautiful landscaping. We have an excellent Fitness Program. We have a myriad number of activities of all types. Our dining experience is superior, with an excellent chef and Dining Services Director and Assistant Director. The best thing is the feeling of community here. We are a true village of people who care for one another.

My mom arrived on antibiotics for special care and therapy and she left there an ambulance on life support 4 days later because they would not provide an x-ray. My mom was very short of breath for 4 days I kept asking the nurses station ForLabs on her blood. She made it she still alive but she went through hell.

My husband and I have lived in the Village for 10 years. It is a very comfortable home among a community of friends. The staff is attentive and supportive of all the residents, while the residents are engaging and actively involved in shared activities and interests. We are very pleased with our decision to make this our home.

We have lived here almost two years and thoroughly enjoy the friendliness of the residents and staff. In addition, the food is excellent and beautifully presented. We have many activities from which to choose, including bocce court, putting green, swimming pool, fitness gym, various fitness classes, planned trips, choral groups, bell choir, forums, concerts and movies. We even have our own massage therapist , hair and nail salon! We actually feel like we are on a land cruise.

The Village Carmichael is an incredible place to work. I feel so grateful and humbled that Eskaton chose me to work for our wonderful residents. From Independent living to Assisted to Skilled Nursing to Memory care, our residents are so very special!!

After I retired, I found that I missed being in a community. I moved here a few months ago and couldnt be happier. Whenever I walk down the hall, I meet people I know, exchange news with them, have dinner with friends. This was the best move I could have made.

Great staff, excellent food. Such a great place to live. Beautiful grounds and pool.

Warning! It may be pretty they will rob you blind every time you turn around! Dont live here! Get everything in writing.
