We have lived in many different states so weve seen a lot of different vets. This vet is my favorite one weve ever had! I love Dr. Spencer and the rest of the team. They are always SO nice and professional. They can get my dog in the same day if its urgent without charging a fee. The prices overall are great and they never do anything without running it by me first. Im truly grateful to have found this vet. Thank you Yellow Dog for taking such good care of Yogi and Grizzly.

We have been seeing Dr. Stanley since our dog was a puppy. He is amazing…he never makes us feel that we need to pay for extra services/treatments. The front desk staff is phenomenal and Kim who does our grooming is superb!! We love our YellowDog Team!!!

We love Yellow Dog! We got our mini australian shepherd Fiona at 3 months and was upset with how she was handled before we adopted her. Everyone at Yellow Dog truly cares for our baby girl. She has a sensitive tummy so we have been seen about 3 times for that, all vaccinations, and her spay procedure were all done here. We just took her this morning for her first groom (she’s now 10 months and a very anxious girl) so naturally we were afraid. They reassured us and when we picked her up, they told us everything they did and how she reacted. Fiona looks SO pretty and smells amazing. Plus we love how every service is affordable! We are grateful to have a vet staff that cares about our girl as much as we do!

We have never had a vet like Yellow dog. The front desk is absolutely amazing; they answer very quickly, take time to listen to your concerns and take notes, and work with you to find the right doctor and time for appointment.Dr. Stanley and Dr. Kelly are both amazing and they do not mind that we use Dr. Stanley for two of our dogs and Dr. Kelly for our other (our boy is timid around men, so he sees and loves Dr. Kelly). They do not nickel and dime when it comes to costs and are very straight forward as to what they do and do not recommend. With us only, they have dealt with torn paws, a growth removal, swollen tail, an unknown lump, and now allergies / yeast infections.What I find really amazing is that they allowed us to bring our foster dog down every week for about 1.5 months to weigh her because she was so malnourished. They always greeted her with a smile and gave her treats without charging a dime.I cannot say enough great things about our vet, they really are amazing.

My dog is currently in Yellow Dogs care. I am so thankful for them. A lot of vets around the area would not accept my pet the same day without charging an outrageous fee or would simply tell me that they couldnt see her until tomorrow. I was up all night with my sick dog and super concerned. When I called Yellow Dog, one of the doctors actually answered the phone. He showed immense compassion and didnt treat me like a number like the other vets. Dr. Kelly was very informative and communicated with me like Ive never seen a vet do! Every step of the way she called me to update me. Thank you Yellow Dog! I truly appreciate your expertise and compassion.

We have had so many skin problems with our dog Bean and he had been to another vet 8 times with no real resolutions. Thank goodness I decided to try a new vet out! Dr. Kelly gave us multiple things to try and after just 1 day he is doing so much better! The itching and biting has stopped completely. I am so happy I gave Yellow Dog vet a try! I am definitely switching all my dogs over to this new vet for any future needs❤️

Dr Stanley was referred to me by a friend. I was unsatisfied with my current vet, so I called and made an appointment here. The staff is very friendly and personable. I was impressed with Dr Stanely. He was nice, knowledgable, and seems genuinely concerned about helping my dog and not about making as much money as possible. I appreciate that very much. Their prices seem really reasonable for Hamilton County. I have only been there once, but I would definitely recommend Yellow Dog! Im so happy I found them! 🐶

Yellow dog is great! They are the nicest people to work with and very attentive! I have called in multiple times with issues and they have fully answered all my questions and concerns. They have a great deal for new puppy owners to get you started and through your first few months! Some friends recommended them to us saying that everyone with a dog they know goes there, and I 100% understand why that is the case.

We had a really scary experience with our lab that ended up being a poisonous spider bite. The care and concern and attention given to us saved my dog and my sanity. So grateful.

THIS IS A REVIEW EVEN THE SKEPTICS MUST READ -- The prices are extremely low for the location, you cant beat them. The vet and staff genuinely care about animals. I dont care who has a bad experience and leaves a bad review because WE thought we had a bad experience and went to another vet 1 mile west in Carmel, just to realize the grass isnt greener... We were so ripped off at the other vet and our dog almost died, so out of desperation we CAME BACK to Yellow Dog, and thank God we did. It saved our dogs life.I could write paragraphs about the situation, but weve seen the ups and downs of Yellow Dog vet. Everyone is human and we all have lives outside of our workplace and we all make mistakes. As emotional and heated as we may get about our furry friends, we need to realize NOBODY IS PERFECT. What makes Dr. Stanley and his staff so amazing is that they admit this and they do everything in their power to make things right!FYI, Im a VERY harsh critic when it comes to customer service since so many companies lack it, and Yellow Dog gets an A+++ lol ;)

Dr. Stanley and his team have been wonderful to us. If youre looking for a vet that will actually talk to you about your pet and your concerns this is who youve been looking for. Very knowledgeable and down to earth, and reasonably priced especially for the Carmel area.Two years later-- I had to come back and update my review. This team is always amazing! The care provided to my dog over the last two years has been spot on, and I am so grateful they make it easy for me to take care of my best friend. Though I recently moved about over 50 miles away from Carmel, I intend to keep going to Yellow Dog Vet because of how knowledgeable and compassionate the team there really is!

Dr. Stanley and his team make all our vet visits easy and we appreciate them always taking time to answer all our questions. They are great at what they do and they care about their doggy and kitty patients!

My dog is a tough handle with strangers and this staff is accommodating and meet my needs. Despite his behavior they are excited to speak with me and have us come in for whatever we need. Dr. Stanley is honest, up front and very down to earth. I appreciate all of the staff for their kindness and understanding.

Took my 4 yo dog and my 7 week old puppy for immunizations and annual exams. This was my first visit with my dogs but second visit as they spayed my cat a couple of years ago. I’m so upset with their lack of professionalism.1) I called last week and spoke to someone extensively about their shot packages for both dogs but did not indicate what I wanted (ie. 1yr or 3 yr rabies, whether they needed bordatella, etc.) Just made an appt for both for shots with no specifics.2) I wasn’t told that it was still curbside drop-off. (I can go to hair salon, nail salon, restaurant, etc - had no idea that vet’s were still under a curbside only). This was a big deal and near deal-breaker as I don’t know these folks. (should have listened to my gut)3) When the tech came to my car to get the dogs, I repeatedly ask that the vet call me and said that I had several questions for them. Also expressed my apprehension about handing over my dogs since I didn’t know any of the staff. Should have been a HUGE clue to have the doc call me ASAP.4) 15 minutes after handing over the pups, out walks my 4 yo with a different person than initially. They had given her her vaccines without consulting with me first!!! Gave her a 3 yr rabies. I wanted A 1 year. Gave a bordatella. There wasn’t a need for this. My dogs are never boarded! Gave a heartworm test without asking me AND didn’t tell me the results Since they only provided an email receipt, it wasn’t until I got home that I discovered the tests/vaccines given. They also neglected to give me the rabies tag.5) I was surprised and, quite honestly, fumbling and stumbling over my words when trying to express why I was so upset and dismayed by the experience. I started asking the questions that I had - how much does my 4yo weigh? - “oh, we didn’t weigh her” - what!? An annual exam and you didn’t weight her? You’ve never met her and have no records on her and you didn’t weigh her?I wanted her nails cut. Did you check her teeth? Etc. Ultimately, didn’t learn anything about her exam other than those 2 questions.6) 4 yo was taken back inside for a nail cut and STILL didn’t weigh her.7) Then the office manager came out to collect payment. I talked to her and, again, tried to fumble through what I was thinking and feeling. When I brought up the curbside and how I wasn’t aware that it was still in effect. Her response, “it’s the same way if you go to the doctor”. What?! No it’s not. Whatever...8) Called Saturday after I left the office about the rabies tag and they were already closed. Left a message and asked that they call me. 9am this morning, no call so I called them. Was told by the office manager that they mailed the tag. Talked to her again about my lack of content with their lack of professionalism and vaccines and tests that I was charged for without ANY discussion in advance. Her question was, how could we do things differently? I know a brush off when I hear one. I’m betting no call from them would have happened either. It’s ok. I’ll NEVER be back. And I’m considering fighting some of the charges with my bank.9) Lastly, the pup...the vet discussed why she shouldn’t be vaccinated until next week or the week after that. She guided me on this and I do appreciate that. Also of note, I did make an appointment for the pup but made sure to cancel it today after reviewing the receipt and rethinking the entire experience. Maybe they’re good for most but this experience completely ruined them for me. And I really don’t care for the office manager’s personality. Not going to say attitude because it’s a personality issue. She came outside defensive on Saturday and she was defensive on the phone this morning. I never raised my voice. I asked questions and made statements of how I felt. No need to be cold. You’re a manager and you told me this morning that you are the person to talk to about my issues/concerns/upset.

Dr. Stanley and all staff members have been nothing but fantastic every time I am there! He is very thorough with his explanations, offers affordable prices and is honest. He will take time over the phone to suggest options and his staff follows up to check in.

We have had the best experience with Dr. Stanley! We have a Bengal kitten. He was very knowledgeable about the breed. She can be quite the handful when it comes to taking medicine or getting shots. Dr. Stanley was able to calm her down and administer the medication without incident. The ultra small doses for kittens makes getting shots a breeze. Our kitten did not even react when getting the shot! He offers a series of smaller dose injections at the same cost of one large injection. This is safer for your pet! It not only creates less stress during their visit but it also provides safer dosage quantities for your small kittens/puppies. I work in the health care field myself and would trust my pet with nobody but the best!

They took the time I needed to understand and they didnt try to get me to buy services just to make an extra buck. Pleasantly surprised and totally satisfied!

Today, January 14, 2020, with many tears, I am very saddened to say that we had our 19 year old Jack Russell Terrier, Charlie, our BEST friend and companion, euthanized. We had put this off for a long time, but it was not fair to him because he had difficulty walking andwas in pain. The vet was very kind and understanding. They allowed us plenty of time to say our goodbyes to Charlie. Thank you Yellow Dog. Rest in peace, Charlie, our good good friend. God bless you.

Dr. Stanley is thorough and when possible, takes the conservative route first before leaping into an expensive procedure. Dr. Stanley is beyond exceptional and his staff always go the extra mile! They always take all the time needed with me and never rush through the appointment. All my questions are thoroughly answered in terms I can understand. Dr. Stanley and staff are very personable and have a way with animals! We were beginning the search for a new vet and decided to consult with Dr. Stanley on a friends recommendation. We have 5 dogs and 3 of them have some heavy duty medical issues so I dont take this lightly, their care is our primary focus. Dr. Stanley is obviously well educated, compassionate, offers alternatives and thoroughly explains everything. He is concerned with the health and well being of our companions while seriously doing what he can to keep costs low. Dr. Stanleys facility is very clean with a great lay out. His tech, Misty is very pleasant, very responsive and also works the front desk. We couldnt be happier with our decision!

Today was our first visit. Charlie Magoo was nervous because he has had some bad experiences with vets. Dr Stanley was very slow to greet Charlie, taking his time to gain his trust. Prices are very affordable. Everyone was nice. Charlie didnt try to bite Dr Stanley. Thats a plus! Dr Stanley was running behind because he wanted to make sure he answered all the questions another dog mom (or dad) had, and he apologized a couple of times for having us wait. It wasnt that long at all, but I was impressed he cared enough about my time to apologize. Hes laid back. So far, so good.

We have two large breed dogs that we take to this clinic for over a year. We have been so, so happy with the bedside manner that both veterinarians have. There is also a non-judgemental vibe and no-pressure attitude, and they are up front about all costs. Both vets are very realistic, and give you options for your care plan. They were recently able to get us in emergently, and we were seen within 20 minutes and took great care of our doggo.

Dr. Stanley is an amazing vet! He provides exceptional veterinary care, while being conscious of cost concerns. He is very responsive to messages, even after hours. Misty is always a pleasure to deal with, and office is clean and pleasant. I cannot recommend this office enough!!!

My dog Cujo who is a big sweetie got bit unfortunately, found out coyotes...I had been up all night and was recommended to come here. We waited barely since Vet was scrubbed up. I had great help from assistance and even put the CAT up. I was a nervous reck, my female passes 3 weeks prior, we still mourning, still. She helped me get my Cujo out and very nice. They could tell I was a mess. Took option B and medicating my Bubba. He is stubborn, looks mean but not...he a little snappish since one bite was in a malish area....cannot blame him at all. Thank You so much. Cujo been slow, little slower than usual but feeling better. Thanks So Much, his human daddy was so relieved when asked IS HE GONNA BE OKAY, while at vet on phone...relief!!! Thanks again!!!!!!!! Dogs are kids, our babies!!!

Took my pup here because we thought he was having problems with allergies. The vet gave him a shot and some medicated spray to help him. The next day we took him to get a grooming, and embarrassingly enough, our pup was actually covered in fleas, and the vet somehow missed this during the examination. Will not go there again.
