The entire staff is wonderful. They truly took their time and worked with my daughter to help her feel brave for her x+rays. Then when she was able do them they cheated for her and her smile could light up the room. They truly go above and beyond.

We went in for a consult for my daughter. They were short staffed that day, but still took the time to talk with me for 1.5 hours about different options for treatment. Jenna one of their hygienists was amazing! She talked to me as a mom, as I was having to make some difficult decisions about care. I felt really heard and appreciated at their office, as well as confident that I can have my children treated there.

First timers at Weddell Pediatric and we are impressed. Great staff and Dr. Weddell is wonderful. My son and daughter both enjoyed their time. The hygienist was so great with my 2 year old daughter and the other was great with my almost 6 year old son. We are happy to have found such a kind, friendly, and experienced dental team. Discriminatory patient screening-- please read-- Although Weddell Pediatric Dental Specialists is in network with Medicaid Insurance Programs, they refuse to see new patients who call to schedule, once the patients say that their insurance is through Medicaid. To be clear, the practice is accepting new patients, but even though the practice is in network with Medicaid, they refuse to book patients unless the patients have another insurance provider that the dentist office is in network with, aside from Medicaid. This is dishonest, discriminatory, and illegal. The primary motivation for this is that Medicaid insurance will not reimburse doctors/dentists for medical/dental procedures as much as other insurance providers do. Hence, physicians who care more about profits than equality will stop accepting new patients with Medicaid insurance after a certain percentage of their total patient population is made up of patients with Medicaid. These providers care more about profit than providing the same excellent standard of care to all eligible patients regardless of their insurance/income/background. I hope an audit is done of this practice and that this blatantly discriminatory method of screening patients is stopped immediately.

Everyone at this practice has been absolutely wonderful! Taking a toddler to the dentist can be challenging for many reasons, but we have always had the most kind, compassionate, and considerate care during our visits. Everyone staff member truly goes above and beyond. We have been so pleased and impressed with this practice. Highly and strongly recommend!!

We are always happy after we leave Weddell! I have 6 kids, two of which have a hard time cooperating during medical procedures. They are always patient and understanding with my boys. I never feel judged or pressured when we are there.

We have gone to Weddell for years, our kids love it, we always feel safe and they do a great job.

My children have been going to Dr Weddell for about 8 months. Everything has been organized and efficient and done as expected. What has really impressed me was just this week. My son had an accident late at night which needed immediate dental repair. I went to the ER hospital which took care of the immediate issues. Then I called the Dr. Weddell office after hours emergency line. Dr. Weddell spoke with the ER doctor. and stated she would open her practice to help my son get his emergency dental work done at her office. If not for her willingness to help my son late at night, I would have been sent downtown to another hospital to wait hours to get the same thing done and probably not get home until early morning hours.I was really impressed. The hospital staff at Riley, tending to my son in the ER , said that never happens with a local dentist.Thank you!!

We have a child with Autism and is non-verbal. Staff is so helpful and friendly. They work with us to get his needs met.

Love Dr Lauren and so does my 12 year old which is all that matters. She’s gentleAnd very soft spoken. She always asks personal questions and not sure how she remembers personal stuff!! Will be sad to leave when she’s 18!!

Even though we moved to Greenwood, we still make the drive up North because there’s no other place that treat my kids like family! I especially love how they took care of my son, sensory issues, when he was younger. I am forever grateful.

I cannot recommend Weddell enough! We have been coming to their office for about 2 years now. My oldest daughter is absolutely terrified of going to the dentist. She gets very frightened and upset. Even a cleaning is difficult and upsetting for her. She had to have a cavity filled recently and the staff there were SO wonderful with her. We got through the procedure with minimal tears. Everyone at Weddell was so caring and kind to our family and went above and beyond to help my daughter be as comfortable as possible. If you have an especially fearful child, this is definitely the place to go!

We absolutely love Dr. Lauren and all her staff! Our 17 month old twins have been to see her twice and our 14 year old has been going there for over 7 years. Always prompt when we arrive, super friendly and patient staff which is a big plus when you have three kids! They make the dentist experience not scary and super easy! The staff is also so gentle during which is another plus! We are such huge fans. We have two younger kids and they actually love going to the dentist. We really love knowing our kids teeth are being taken care of from such an early age and are setting the stage for good habits down the road. They do such a great job of communicating across the board and it is a wonderful environment.

My little 7 year old had a major cavity that was giving him pain, and we were referred to Weddell Dental for assistance. They got him in the same day and took care of him. I feel like the dentists make my kids feel very comfortable. They make the visit fun which makes it easier for them to return. They are very personable and understands my kids needs. They answer all of their questions and concerns and/or they demonstrate the proper way things should be done.

My children have been patients of Dr. Weddells since we moved to the area six years ago. Dr Lauren always completes a thorough exam and makes my children feel at ease, by explaining what will be done at each step of the treatment. All staff at the practice go above and beyond in making both parents and children feel welcome and comfortable. Today, Cara, our hygienist worked with the kids in explaining how and what products to use to improve hygiene, which was especially helpful for my eldest daughter that has recently had an orthodontic appliance fitted. Jumanah, on the front desk, was extremely efficient in helping us find appointments for our next visit and thoroughly explaining any costs involved with future treatments. I would, and have many times, recommend this surgery.

We had a really great experience at Weddell pediatric. They bring you to a separate room with lots of toys for the initial conversation before the exam and cleaning so I could actually hear the dental assistant and ask questions. Then they handled the cleaning and exam so well the my four year old had her first ever appointment with no tears. She even let them do x-rays. During the exam they gave my daughter a gold coin that she could hold and cash in for a prize at the end. Really helped with the transitions. Very pleased with this office.

We have been going here for the last 14 years and we adore them. My daughter was just 3 years old and we had had a horrible experience with a dentist in Muncie.... they took my daughter and worked with her for a long time to help her not be afraid.... or terrified. They have continued to work amazingly well with us! I highly recommend them!

We love this office. However on our recent visit my daughter who just turned 18 was asked to sign a blank form just in case there could be charges. We would not deny them the payment however I don’t appreciate them taking advantage of an 18 year olds naiveness. Never should you sign a blank form just in case!!If we owe something after the fact -send us a bill !!

Our teenage daughter Lily has been going to Dr. Lauren and Dr. Blair for a couple of years now and we are more than pleased. They are so personal and remember things she discussed with them in the past, which makes her feel so comfortable. She has had past dentist that have been rough and very impersonal. Its very pleasant to have a teenager actually enjoy going to the dentist now... I really appreciate the doctors and staff. I highly recommend this dentist to anyone! I am not sure where my first review went that I wrote, but I will gladly tell my story again for those that have gone or are thinking of going to this office. I think the office staff is overall friendly, however, very pushy. From the person at the desk, to the one walking you back, and then the lady working on your kid, they are very xray pushy. We went there for almost 6 years, every 6 months. We initially saw Dr. Laurens dad that owned the practice until he retired and she took over. I never felt like she had a good bedside manner with the kids, but we never really had a terrible experience until two years ago when we finally decided to leave this place. Short and sweet, when we finally did agree to an xray, they took them on a machine that they stated they couldnt see results on until the next day, and the next day instead of getting a call from the dentist, I get a call from someone at the office just rambling off all these appointments we need to make, the sedation that we will do, and all these spots that need worked on. Spots that were never visible during a single exam. Spots that were not complained about by my daughter. It all didnt seem right. They said there were 5. When I started asking questions about them, the girl on the phone didnt even know what to answer. Its one of those things where you dont report results to a family member unless you are going to give them adequate information to back up what you are saying. In such situations, I would expect a dentist to make such a phone call. Further on, without even talking to me about a treatment plan, or follow up, they sent my insurance an estimate of treatment which came to me estimated around 2,000 {this came even after I decided to go get another second opinion}. Well fast forward, I immediately made an appointment with another dentist, who did follow up xrays, and DID NOT find 5 spots that needed work. In fact, he only saw ONE spot that he said would most likely need work, but not anything he would rush into and leave it up to us to decide. Well, I am happy to report that after 2 years, we have only had to WATCH this spot {which has not grown a bit}, and have never had to have work done. Moral of the story, TRUST YOUR GUT! If something doesnt sit right, ask questions, go see someone else. If it isnt an emergency, take your time before rushing into possibly unnecessary procedures. Everyone makes mistakes, and if you already dont trust or feel comfortable with someone or the way they do things, then find someone that you do trust!
