Such a clean and tidy store. Quite a difference from the one we’ve been going to. Great selections also. The staff was wonderful too.

This is a nice grocery store we stopped by while visiting out of town. They had a beautiful flower selection. They also had beautiful cakes. I bought one to bring as host gift for dinner and it was absolutely delicious.

Very nice and very complete, the staff is very friendly and they even pack your bags for you, a bit pricey but it is what it is given the area that it is located on.

You can find strawberry rhubarb pie there and the best deserts for them parties... good wines and veggies too.

I love this store. They keep it well stocked and their staff is so nice and always available to help.

Very good selection of groceries, if I dont find my vegan alternatives in my usual grocery stores, I could find it here. I know I can rely on Gelsons to find unconvential ingredients. They have an impressive selection of vegan and dairy free ice cream.

Clean and spaceous with corteous staff. One star off due to lack of some item sizes like only half gallon milk and many overpriced items. Gelsons is for higher income folks but it sometimes goes overboard. Good location and parking.

The hot soup bar and salad bar are what we come here for. The fruits and veggies are 100% organic, with no other options; therefore, we do our veggie and fruit shopping elsewhere.

I enjoy this store for nostalgic reasons... I used to shop for a client here.I had hoped their selection of meats and seafood would be at par, but its just like any other store, except for the amped up prices. Youd think with prices jacked so high they would weed out rotten produce or have fish thats actually fresh but I expect too much?They have a wonderful drink selection....but most of the things they carry that I cant find other places arent worth spending my whole paycheck on five things 🤷🏼Dont shop here if youre not rich lmao.

My very first time in the store. They lots of quality items as well as some nostalgic ones (Squirt and BubleUp in a bottle). Staff is very friendly and happy. Visited their deli and my sandwich was supuerb. Definitely a great option to have in my new neighborhood.

OK, this is just a great market. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The deli is amazing. Prime rib sandwhich that is just superb! Aly, by the way has made me the best sandwhich of my life... Twice! Am I that boring? Is the meat that good? Is Aly a food wizard? Yes, she is! And all the staff, from deli to checkout. If it was possible to give zero stars I would. Had an experience here where we ordered a special cake for a special occasion two weeks before the date we needed it, was told everything would be taken care of and we should pay for it when we pick it up. The date come, March 5th, they claim to have lost the order, didnt make the cake, didnt try to make it right and not even an apology. Basically shrugged their shoulders and said whoops, I guess it wasnt ever made.So we were stuck picking up a cake from a different store and were very upset obviously. When I went online to express my displeasure at the way the whole situation played out on their customer service form on their website. Its been WEEKS now and no response. This place doesnt give a darn about me, you or any of their customers. If the roles had been reversed and I was responsible for basically ruining someones birthday cake I would, first, apologize, second, see if there was anything we could do to find a comparable cake, and third, let my manager know what happened and see how they wanted to help - thats how you MAINTAIN customers.The way we were treated is how you LOSE customers - and the only reason for this review is because of the fact that no one in management cared enough to contact us after reading the customer comment section on the website.I work right down the street and will be taking my business elsewhere from here on, even though I have to drive further to do that. I want to give my money to a company who cares about the experiences of customers in their stores.TLDR: GELSONS couldnt care less about their customers, they want your money, thats it. They dont care to retain longtime customers. If you have a problem be prepared to deal with it yourself without so much as an apology or solution from ANYONE working for this company.

This is the best location. I went to del mar and it didnt meet my expectations. This store is always fully stocked and the employees go above and beyond. You pay for what you get so the reason for higher prices is due to quality and service. They offer products that you cant find at Trader Joes, Whole foods, or any other market. This is a California based grocery store, support a good cause!!!! Their bakery is nicer than any European bakery you can find. I cant wait to order my sons first birthday cake from Gelsons

Gelsons is always clean, beautifully laid out, well stocked with an amazing variety of extraordinary cheeses, specialty items along with all the expected name brand staples. Their deli market is absolutely delicious and always fresh! It is on the pricier side, so not my weekly shopping store, but if I need something special for an event, dinner party, etc., Gelsons is my first stop! PS - their fresh, made from scratch pies are incredibly delicious!

Gelsons is a gourmet market with prices to prove it.This location is rather plain when compared to others.For everyday items its too expensive for the common person like myself,BUT it does have items all throughout the store that you cant find in your average market.Its main claims to fame are the service deli where you can get whole meals such as over roasted whole turkey and toast beef, carved to you order, salmon, gourmet sides, stuffed potatoes, awesome imported and domestic olives, gourand sides and salads.Their salad bar us second to noneIf youre going to pay $8-10+ for a salad elsewhere, come here and try their salad bar first; you wont regret it.Their imported & domestic cheeses are incredibly delicious.Ask the cheese specialist for recommendations & a sample.Their produce is high priced, but you soon find out that its worth it.Locally and organically sourced, you find the produce to be some of the freshest and best quality.Their gourmet European bakery makes some of the best treats Im sure youll love.Lastly their meat department is amazing. Their meats are also local and organic and some of the best youll find.You may not be able to shop here regularly, but it you have an important party, event, or even a great date at home shop here first.

Very nice market, large and not overly crowded. Some very good items, including I bought sea bass and it was excellent and good price. Its a high end market with high quality products so is not a Trader Joes with commensurate low prices for lower quality products.

Great food, service, and location. Remember you get what you pay for. Good addition to the neighborhood. I will have to get the gourmet chicken again soon. It was soo juicy, most take home chicken gets dried out not this one. Juicy, hot, and delicious. Great on the go if you just need protein in a rush or you can take it to the beach and snack all day on it. Easy, no mess, and on the healthier sideJust try not to eat the skin, good luck with that.

Charging my car across the street, thought Id be effieicnet and do my grocery shopping while I waited. Three of the first 4 items I needed, were not there. Too much effort put into appealing to high maintenance, picky, affluent people. Blue cheese is a basic salad dressing. There wasnt any in the dressing aisle. Might have been some overpriced gourmet blue cheese, in a refrigerated section, but I didnt have a chance to look. I was too busy looking for Franks Buffalo sauce. Nope, only Franks Red Hot sauce. Guess my buffalo chicken dip wont be happening. Went on to look for a basic Stawberry or fun-fetti box cake mix. Nope. Only chocolate or vanilla. Ugh.The store is well lit, nice decor, and has a bar... (why?). Seems to have a good wine and produce selection. Just disappointed that my basic items were not available.

Im fairly new to Gelsons, but amazed at the selection of products and quality of the pre-made items. Also just recently tried the deli where I got a sandwich & 2 side deal. For around $12 its a great lunch or dinner. I love this place and wish there was one closer to me in Temecula, but gives me an excuse to visit Dad. Also the staff is great here. Always in great spirits and looking to help in any way they can. Thanx team 👍👍

I cant for the life of me understand how they are in business. Expensive, pricey.... all the words that convey Expensive. With that said, I hope they never go out of business. The salads to go in back are awesome. The sushi is legit. The folks that work here always polite. I dont think Ive ever waited in line. Clean too.If you want bump cars, grapple with shoppers, wait in line... then go across the street. I guess higher prices is the trade off, but worth it.

My typical receipt at Gelsons is the same as the other stores in the area with one huge glaring exception. The people that work there are fantastic, their meat department, deli, bakery and grocery isles are exceptional with foods that you can’t find in any other store. I just love it there & have no complaints.

Though a bit pricier than other super markets, their produce , meat and deli selections are absolutely wonderful. This market is also within easy walking distance to the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa--and attracts many guests from there. Watch for their specials--which can also be amazing as well as good buys. Finally, they have a cute wine bar that also serves appetizers.

Its nice and big! They have vitamins, healthy organic foods, fruits, and veggies. They have health and beauty as well. Their prices are way too high for their organic foods and fruits though. A 20oz btl of soda is very sky high!

Who shops here?!?! Pulling into the parking lot I wasnt sure if they were open its so dead. Felt spooky. $8.99 for butter? Pffftttt!I was going to get a large Cooks Champagne, usually a drinkable inexpensive champagne, but it was $40. Prices so over the top ridiculously high. Only one cashier, no customers. Go to Sprouts!

Super clean and inviting. i usually feel stressed when i go in to get any groceries. this place was very clean, organized and stress free. it was a fun experience. love the poke bar, only wish the shish qubes are cut a bit thinner. but yummy for sure. please keep it up, and thank you.

POKE BAR! PIZZA BAR! Fresh deli and bakery. This place is great. Looks around for the deals, they can be found, but honestly I just like stopping in for lunch. Where else can you make your own poke bowl???? That was my favorite find by far!

Came to town and right away began to make a difference in the local community. Finely prepared, well presented local fare and hot food choices, as well as a nice vibe and staff. One of the businesses that came in and truly pitched in from day one to make this a better place which we really appreciate, and didnt really expect so its such a nice first impression.

Wow what a beautiful market! Super friendly staff, every single one of them. We had unicorn cupcakes and a cake made for my daughters birthday and they came out awesome! They have a bunch of Organic produce and great looking deli.

We have been in the store twice since its opening. It is wonderful to have good quality and aplethora of items. We need a store like this in our area. They are very accommodating in ordering products the customer wants. All the employees seem nice and happy to work there.Keep up the great job!

Deli ,salads, carving station and sushi are amazing. Try any salad before you buy; samples always given with a smile. Also, they must face their shelves every hour. It looks like a painting up every isle. Regular groceries like canned goods and other non-perishables can be pricey unless you know how to shop smart.Great customer service and lots of local stuff.

If youre anything other than white...dont go here. Every time I come im followed and spoken to very rudely and in a condescending tone. This is the grocery store for the KKK. Hire some people of color so my shopping experience can feel more inclusive. Next time I shop here im wearing a go pro and putting the video on the internet.

I love Gelsons. I do not love listening to mediocre covers played at surprisingly invasive volumes. I appreciate the gesture, and love both recorded and live music very much, and if this was an opportunity to discover new musicians, and to reach a typically disengaged audience, Id be very supportive. But these Saturday concerts are neither, they are tepid, typical covers of 80s favorites that are not remotely creative or innovative. They just...are. when Im buying egg salad... squeezing an orange, or picking up some coffee beans...theres Phil Collins, reminding me that Im spending One More Day in Paradise..maybe...but if paradise has a soundtrack, I doubt its this.

Very nice they have lovely food nice selection of higher-end items. But the everyday things you can get anywhere cost nearly double. Reminds me of this little market in Malibu same prices. Its definitely not worth it apart from the fact that its always so empty and theres never ever a line for obvious reasons. Everybodys very friendly. Food is always fresh, Im a vegetarian so I dont get as much out of it as the average person would.

Driven by hundreds of times, and only just stopped in and I was pleasantly surprised. Extremely clean and large grocery store and has a great craft beer and wine selection! There is even a bar in the grocery store!

Nice store to shop in. The staff were very helpful and available throughout the store. The store was clean and well stocked. They have some great features I have never seen in another store - wine tasting, meat carving station, kabocha tasting station.

They offer a unique shopping experience. For example, a classy bar where you can enjoy a glass of wine or beer while one of their employees does your shopping for you. No tips permitted. However, prices throughout the store are anything but cheap. If money is no object, this is the place to go.
