I love Carlsbad Optometry! Through an eye exam, they found signs of narrow angle glaucoma and referred me to a doctor for surgery. This would have gone undetected without the thorough testing. Ive just been back for my annual visit and got some new glasses which I love! The optician helped me use my insurance to get the best prices on the glasses. Im definitely a customer for life, and have referred many people who also have been very happy with their services!

Love this office! They are always so kind and friendly and go above and beyond for a comfortable and fun encounter. Dr. Millet is fantastic. She is so friendly and helps answer any questions or concerns. She is also accommodating. I messed up with my schedule a little and was a little tight on time and she helped me out. As a 36yo Ive been wearing reading glasses since high school. Ive never been able to wear my glasses other than reading at the computer or book. After going to Carlsbad Optometry, they told me my prescription was too strong which made everything blurry past a few feet. I also have astigmatism in one eye which Ive always declined to correct after how bad the result was. Ive always only been able to look out the glasses straight out, but when I moved my eyes to the side it didnt work.Fast forward to my visit to Carlsbad Optometry - I finally, in 20 years, got the first pair of glasses that actually worked for me. I never knew before how bad my previous prescriptions were. Im so thankful to have finally gotten a prescription that actually works! Ive had my glasses now for over a year and Im so appreciative every day when I put them on when I sit down at my computer to work. Especially since Im a software engineer. And Ive started wearing them more regularly such as watching TV and what a difference! Thank you!

I did extensive research before committing to a practice. This was my first eye exam in a long while and I didnt want to feel stuck with a poor choice. Carlsbad Optometry exceeded my expectations. The office was very clean and all of the staff members were great to work with. Never once did I feel as though I was just another customer. Im a regular customer, but even so I was really impressed when they squeezed me in at very short notice yesterday to check for glass shrapnel damage (long story) - happily all clear. So good to receive such care and reassurance!

I’m happy to give Carlsbad Optometry the highest rating. Every aspect of my appointment was seamless. The front office staff was very attentive to getting the correct specifications of my contact prescription to the optometrist. Dr. Millet took care to explain to me all of her findings in my exam, and I know a lot more about the health of my eyes than previously. Finally, there was no pressure to purchase new frames- (though I did try on a number of very nice frames in stock). One of the opticians even adjusted my current glasses and made other minor repairs on my prescription sunglasses. Thank you, Carlsbad Optometry!

All the doctors and staff are experienced, knowledgeable, professional, and wise. They explain everything to me in terms I can understand, they give me lots of options for contacts and glasses, they have state-of-the-art tools, they help with insurance stuff, they always see me promptly and give me their full attention, and their space is gorgeous. My daughter had her first exam at age 6 (as a benchmark), and she felt like a queen! I cannot recommend this business enough.

Every single person in my family wears glasses or contacts. Me, I am legally blind. Yes. I know. For years I would worry about my contacts, because glasses were so thick I was dictated to wear a certain type of frame. In 2012 we started seeing Dr. Witmeyer. We are still seeing Dr. Witmeyer. We love all of her staff. Sylvia and Lauren are awesome. Fast forward to Covid19, social distancing, things shut down. But I have my special contacts, my life savers because Dr. Witmeyer and her staff made sure she got the order in, mailed to me. Everyday, like no other have I appreciated the efforts made by her, her staff to make sure that I could see and function everyday. Thank you.

A very friendly and professional staff. Dr. Millet is cool, knows her stuff and inspires confidence. Throughout the exam she explained each procedure clearly, engaged me in conversation so the whole process went very pleasantly.

I love this place! Everyone is very friendly and helpful, the doctors are all awesome, and they have an gorgeous selection of frames to choose from (which makes it hard to choose!). Its also easy to get and change an appointment if your schedule is hard to pin down.

Got my prescription wrong the first time. Also my daughters glasses need tightening all the time as it slips off her nose. Had to keep calling to check if the glasses were in. For the price they charge, too much of a headache as you expect better.

Their eyewear is top designer and therefore expensive, but very nice frame selection. But more importantly, I have a very complicated prescription that is sensitive to every possible variable out there in eyeglass manufacturing.Every optometrist before Dr. Witmyer would have to send the glasses back at least once before it would be correct. After at least a dozen or more pairs of glasses and sunglasses, they always got it right the first time I tried those glasses on, until the latest time when we introduced a prism into my prescription and their eyeglasses extraordinaire Angelica left the office.When my employer was acquired and vision insurance was changed to one where she was out of network, they worked with me to find a suitable arrangement. All you have to be is a loyal customer who treats them fairly and they treat you fairly. Im also always in there getting my glasses adjusted (nosepieces, ear piece adjustments, etc.) and never once have they charged me extra (and Im in there a LOT)!They give me the gift of good vision. There is no price for that. .
