I met Dr. Fallah early 2020 and set up a plan to completely update my oral health to be as nontoxic as possible. For starters, I had about 5 teeth filled with amalgam from childhood along with a root canal that was severely infected and failing. I love the fact that Dr. Fallah uses zirconia implants over titanium. Dr. Fallah and his staff made me feel super confident and comfortable throughout the whole process. I am now posting in September of 2020 my mouth is as non toxic as it can possibly be! Everyone from the front desk to the most amazing dental hygienist, Jen, who has a nontoxic process of cleaning your teeth without the use of fluoride. Dr Fallah can be trusted for impeccable dentistry. The crown he did for me had been so badly botched by two previous dentists that I was hesitant to try again. Absolutely love Dr. Fallah and his team. We had been grateful dental patients for five years, prior to leaving the practice in March 2021 only because we prefer to get our teeth cleaned from a hygienist who opted in to get the Covid-19 vaccine. I came to Dr. Fallah with completely wrecked health. I discovered that major dental surgery didnt have to be painful during or after. I wish Id this known sooner. After a car accident concussion left me with 3 teeth with fractured roots, Id had 2 removed by other specialists in earlier years. Both times were filled with typical excruciating pain, facial swelling and days of downtime. I dreaded the next one--but I didnt need to. One of my doctors recommended Dr. Fallah to me, for his attention to pain and to wholistic dentistry. Dr. Fallah did the last extraction last month and it was virtually painfree with little downtime. His staff got me in for my sudden telltale toothache within 2 days. And I could not believe I had unnecessarily gone through all that previous pain and swelling from the surgeries elsehwere! I highly recommend Dr Fallah and his staff. I had many amalgams plus two infected root canals. I went to another Integrative Dentist and got very sick after he removed just one amalgam because he didnt protect me. For most of my adult life, Ive dealt with jaw pain (TMJ). Between grinding my teeth, clenching, and the pain in my neck, Id often find myself unable to relieve the pain at the end of a long day. I tried massages, physical therapy, countless night guards, an NTI guard and lots of ibuprofen, but none of them solved the problem. It wasnt until a few months ago when I found Dr. Fallah and my life would be forever changed. As I explained my symptoms to Dr. Fallah, he grinned knowing he could help put all of that behind me. In just a few visits, I was almost completely out of pain. And, the work hes done is setting the stage for permanent relief. I am so very grateful to have learned about Dr. Fallah and to have the opportunity and blessing to be his patient. He is an exceptionally gifted and caring dentist who has the knowledge, experience, services, and latest equipment and technology to identify and heal dental problems that have affected my entire health.For many years Ive had chronic sinusitis and bronchitis, swelling and tenderness on the left side of my face and neck, inflammation throughout my body, poor digestion, food allergies, and heavy metal toxicity. Each winter I get at least one bad case of the flu that lasts for eight weeks or more. The traditional and alternative health care professionals Ive seen have provided some relief, but my immune system never seemed to get strong.This year an MD I began to see is the only person who has ever asked to see my dental records. When he saw that I had two root canals and had had all four wisdom teeth removed, he strongly recommended I see a biological, holistic dentist, which I hadnt done before. And so I went to Dr. Fallah.In my first visit Dr. Fallah did a full mouth and jaw bone scan and did DNA tests on the areas where the root canals were (both on the left side) and where the wisdom teeth had been. The results showed extensive bone loss in my jaws in all those areas, high levels of infection, and the wisdom teeth sockets hadnt healed properly when the teeth were removed.During my second visit Dr. Fallah removed the two teeth with the root canals. One had a large amalgam filling that he safely removed without drilling into it or having any of it go into my system. He opened the wisdom teeth sockets, destroyed the infection in the wisdom teeth and root canal areas with ozone, used my own blood to create platelet-rich plasma that was put back into my jaw bones to promote healing and regrow the bones, gave me a substance to prevent swelling, and told me about other things I could do to help with the healing. I didnt experience any pain during any of that work and afterwards there was no pain and practically no swelling.Ill be going back for implants in the root canal areas and to have four crowns replaced that show signs of problems. The materials Dr. Fallah will use for the implants and all of my dental work will be matched to my body to avoid any reactions - thanks to a simple blood test Dr. Fallah recommended.A week after that second visit the swelling on the left side of my face and neck from the bacterial infection was gone. The left and right sides of my face are now symmetrical! Ive been around people lately with colds and bronchitis and havent gotten sick. I have a sense of well being and feel Ive finally addressed a major source of my health issues.Every member of Dr. Fallahs team is very skilled and caring. They and Dr. Fallah spent time with me in person and on the phone to answer all my questions, prepare me for the dental work and reassure me that it would be helpful. First experience was only by phone to book an appt. and it was a category 1 rating. Theresa was very fake polite at first, then abrupt, matter of fact, hurried clearly, and not welcoming to me as a potential customer. I told her I was a customer elsewhere prior and was referred to by Dr. Stengler here in Encinitas. I said I was interested in a teeth cleaning. She told me the way it worked was Dr. Fallah would need to do a full exam first- maybe 3-D images if I had an infection or needed a root canal. I asked why that was necessary when I had the x-rays done 6 months ago. She said she supposed if they were recent then he might be able to go by that. She asked me again what I wanted done. I said I am calling to have my teeth cleaned. She was now frustrated. She claimed how busy they were until August for hygiene appt. and treated my like I was ignorant about the doctor having to see me first for a full panel of X rays - 3D. Theresa i mean you couldnt even get in until August to see a hygienist, we are very busy here. I paused in speaking, she said you do not have to decide right now ...I said thank you and good-bye. Theresa may have been having a frustrating day. Ok, we all do. But acting like and telling me how busy the office is, and how in demand Dr Fallah is, and how booked out you are, I am wondering why you called me back? Just put on your message Not accepting new customers.Theresa became frustrated when I asked about the need for X-rays. I did not appreciate treating me like I am trying to get an appointment with God and his Apostles, and the overall posture she had on the phone. I was actually excited to see a holistic Dentist. Hard to get excited about any dentist, but I was. Going elsewhere.

And yesterday I had the first 1/2 of a ceramic implant surgery. Both procedures went perfectly. He knows dentistry inside and out, has the latest technology and information, he looks at the whole body, he listens, he communicates clearly, and he cares. His staff is wonderful, so friendly, great bedside manner, and more knowledgable than any other dental staff I have come across. I desperately and profoundly regret my decision to have dental work done by Afshin Fallah.In my most recent appointment I was told I had a cracked tooth that needed to be crowned at a cost of approximately $2,000 and, sooner than later, deep cleaning for my gum health. Upon seeking a 2nd opinion from another DDS I was informed that my tooth could be repaired for $600 and that my gum health is great.Prior to this last appointment I spent $14,000 (FOURTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS) on a permanent top/front bridge that turned out to be incorrectly [too big] sized and should never have been installed. The procedure was of no benefit whatsoever and did in fact cause significant harm on a number of levels.My lips no longer close over my front teeth - during sleep I can only mouth breathe which is effecting my nervous system. Every mouth activity from smiling to chewing to kissing, etc, etc, etc is compromised and uncomfortable. My jaw and neck are now constantly and painfully misaligned. Unfortunately the list goes on.Per the other reviews of this business I agree the staff are amazingly charming while performing routine procedures and collecting your money however when they are called upon to take responsibility for a mistake, the amazing charm turns to amazing excuse making and denial of liability.I have been traumatized physically, mentally and financially by Dr Fallahs lack of skill and integrity.

Went to Dr Fallah while suffering very severe TMJ pain. Now still in the first phase of treatment ... wearing a neuromuscular orthotic all waking hours... the pain has subsided on my facial joint and muscles. Will see if this set of orthotics will permanently correct my bite or not. Overall Dr Fallah and staff are very attentive, patient, and professional.

I woke up one morning with a serious case of TMJ and didnt know what to do. I called Dr. Fallahs office, not understanding what was wrong with me, and Teresa was so great about spending the time to talk through what Dr. Fallah could do for me and got me in the office the next day. Dr. Fallah treated me like I was his only patient and gave me a really thorough examination, diagnosis and treatment plan. He even let me record his during our appointment so that I could share our conversation with my mom in Kansas City. Mae, Julie and Tenisha were so fantastic throughout my whole treatment, checking in with me and doing whatever they could to make me feel comfortable. Dr. Fallah even offered his cell phone number and called me several times on his days off to check in on my progress and pain levels. Ive never experienced this type of attention from a doctor! It provided me another layer of comfort, knowing he was concerned about my situation and doing what he could to make it better.My TMJ affected my entire body - my head to my neck to my back to my legs. I have a very low tolerance for pain or sickness so this issue was extremely debilitating to my healthy, active lifestyle. Dr. Fallah encouraged me to eat lots of greens, get my vitamins, drink lots of water, continue my yoga and walking and exercise. Instead of pumping me full of painkillers, he encouraged me to listen to my body, de-stress and take care of myself. He also suggested that I see a chiropractor and massage therapist, which has changed my life!I feel extremely lucky to have found Dr. Fallah. I so appreciate his organic, holistic approach and am thankful that I have a TMJ doctor for life. Thank you Dr. Fallah, Teresa, Mae, Julie, and Tenisha!
