I came in with an outside RX and I was greeted by a gentleman in a suit. He was very welcoming and warm. He took my information and let me know if there was anything he could do to assist, to just let him know. I spoke to him about always having issues selecting frames because of fitting. He told me that he could definitely help selecting frames for me. I havent had much luck anywhere but he looked determined to assist. This guy must have years of experience because it took him less than 5 minutes to find me a pair of glasses that fit me extremely well. I have never been this satisfied with a purchase of glasses in years. This gentleman has skill. He took his time with measurements and everything. I highly recommend him. If you need to find him, I want to say his name is Alihandro.

The original staff never put in my daughters order for her glasses. Then there was the general manager came in and got my daughters glasses ordered. however I never received a called when they finally came in. We just stopped and they was there. Its getting close for her to have another annual exam from when she had the previous one for the glasses she just got today. I will never return to this location. The new general manager does seem like hes going to get everything in order over there. I do wish him luck.

Waited for months for my appointment. Tried to schedule for both my kids with no luck. I couldnt even find the regular provider Ive been seeing. Did he leave? The doctor on the website doesnt even look familiar at all. Then 3 days before the appointment they call and cancel everyones appointments. I asked whether the same doctor was still there, and the woman on the phone didnt even know. (she said she was new, but shouldnt someone have let her know what was going on?) Now I have to find someone new or wait another 8 weeks for an appointment. Definitely not going back. I wouldnt recommend it until they settle on a provider.

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. There are no words for the lack of professionalism, customer service and knowledge of this place. It’s dirty, and you wait FOREVER to be seen, the receptionest is so unfriendly, unprofessional and everyone is a bother to them. They aren’t even aware of the doctors name, because they are “new”...it sounds like a doctor isn’t even staffed. Horrible experience every time. Everyone here waiting they seem to have “lost” their glasses or lenses..

Ive been going to this location for years. Ive actually gotten my family and my parents to come here. Never again will we return after the service we received this year. We were lied to about pricing, not giving any options on what we did or didnt want with our glasses or exam. They do a eye picture that costs $40 that is not covered by insurance and they do not ask if you want it done or not. I knew about it and declined it and was still charged the $40, they said it for something else but that charge is not on either of my kids bills. My dads glasses took 3 months to come in. I was lied to about how much my insurance covered on my frames. They just make excuse after excuse as to why your bill is astronomical, cant complain enough about this place and our treatment this year.

The optometrist was up to standard and his customer service skills are very good. the part where you go to pick out glasses was very unhappy. the girl yells at you. she tells you you should be grateful for the insurance you have which is not her business. i have that insurance because i am missing two organs. my life is hard. i just didnt like her. she was very mean. i do not want to go back there because of the stress involved in ordering the glasses. i saw nothing wrong with the optometrist or his staff. the glasses girl needs more training. shes angry.

Before I proceed, I will acknowledge beforehand that this review is long. It is of the upmost importance to me to put this out there in the hopes that whomever is in charge reads this and corrects the issues at hand.On 5/28/21, the overall experience I had at this particular practice was abysmal. First, it’s evident that between the Carlisle Commons (Noble Blvd.) location and York Rd. location. there is a huge lack of communication, or lack there of. I made my appointment back in Mid-March via phone call, and was scheduled a little over a month and a half out (York Rd. building). The explanation I was given was Carlisle Commons doesn’t have an eye doctor while York Rd. did. So, I went ahead and booked a two slot appointment with the latter. The wait was no biggie to me since I was just trying to get myself as well as my son a routine eye exam.However, my gripe with this business/practice is that this is my second time showing up to an appointment at a location that doesn’t have an eye doctor. Even though at the time of making an appointment was assured by the receptionist that there would be one. It’s understandable that changes can and do occur, I’m not arguing that.Second, what is the point of their text messaging system to confirm appointments if neither brick and mortar locations acknowledge or verify it?Third, and the deciding factor as to why MyEyeDr. will NEVER have my business; their receptionist! I was greeted by their suit and tie receptionist with a snarky tone. He asked if I was so and so, and it would have been nice if I listened to the voicemails he had left me. Needless to say that it went downhill from there. To imply that I chose to ignore his calls and voicemails, only to show up for my appointment at said location anyways is nonsensical. After putting him on notice about his attitude towards me, instead of correcting the miscommunication or offering a solution he continued his snarky banter. I was made out to be the reason why my son and I were out of an appointment. In the midst of our argument, I asked how are we going to proceed since apparently I “forfeited” my slots. Slyly, he told me I would have to make another appointment. It was at that moment I had to exit the situation. That receptionist was no longer trying to rectify the situation, but rather wanted to have the last word.Lastly, from what I gathered; building “A” doesn’t effectively communicate with building “B”, and both buildings don’t check confirmed appointments through their text messaging system. (Which doesn’t seem to be an isolated incident.) If you show up and explain that you aren’t a no call no show, you are received in such a rotten fashion. There is zero accountability on their end.I will end the review on this note; If “Mr. Suit and Tie” and others like him are the face/person of your place of business and interacting with patients, you’re in trouble. It is ultimately your patients and future patients that end up slighted.

I had to wait almost 2 months for an appointment. I received 3 texts confirming my appointment to which i replied yes i was still coming. I received the third text at 1130 am on may 26 confirming my appointment for the following morning at 1130. When i showed up for my appointment i was told that they tried to call me at 430, 630 and 830 on the 26th to tell me there was no eye dr, and hadnt been one for some days and that for the foreseeable future there wouldnt be one. I showed the employee my confirmation texts and phone log showing zero calls from them the prior day. He said they left a voice-mail so i showed him my voice-mail log showing no messages. He asked if i wanted to be put on a waiting list for an appointment when they got a dr. I said no and left. THE SECOND THEY KNEW THERE WAS NO DOCTOR THEY SHOULD HAVE CANCELED ALL APPOINTMENTS BY THE SAME TEXT MESSAGE SYSTEM THEY RECEIVED MESSAGES FROM CONFIRMING APPOINTMENTS AND APOLOGIZED FOR THE INCONVENIENCE. Anything less than that says they neither know how to conduct business nor do they deserve to be in business if they will be so poor at customer service, communication and professionalism.

I live an hour away from the one on York rd.Part of my order came in 2 weeks ago.Have made 3 trips there in the past 2 weeks on days that it says it’s open.I get there no one is there.This has been going on for quite sometime.What is the problem there?Still waiting to hear about the rest of my order.I have about 900.00.paid to that place and can’t get my things

Perhaps I am missing some information. On Tues I called to see if I needed an appointment, I was told no. So yesterday I went to hopefully to obtain new glasses. There were 2 employees and 2 customers myself and another lady picking up her glasses. I was told I needed an appointment, which I made for today. The store in my opinion was not following Pa. Dept of Health guidelines. I understand people are being fitted for glasses and I told the woman I had an appointment. I was told go and choose what you like and someonewill help you. I spent some time doing that, and no one came to help. No one spoke to me and said we will be with you shortly . More customers arrived. I decided to leave, before I left I told the woman, I dont think this is safe to be here, so many people here and yet last night only 4 - 2 employees and 2 customers. No temperature checks performed as well .

Over all I am not impressed with this office. The staff are nice but there seems to be something off. The doctor spent a total of 5 minutes with me (the quickest eye exam I have ever had). They dont have much of a selection of glasses to choose from and do not communicate with you when your order arrives. You have to follow up with them. I will not be going back.

Today I had the best experience Ive ever had at an optometrist at this location. The doctor had my mother and I in and out quickly, yet verified that the prescription he landed on. We were then helped by Amy, who took the time needed to ensure that my mother (who is VERY picky) would be satisfied with her glasses.This was a far better experience than Ive had at their Noble Blvd location (I think my review of that location is still up), and I intend on continuing to use this location.MyEyeDr, take notice! Amy was AWESOME.

I had called around town before I called this establishment .when I called them and asked what insurance they take .they said they would take my insurance .well after I got there I got told I was to pay for the visit and the glasses .they never submitted anything to my insurance what so ever I have vision care so I shouldnt have been charged .im just wondering who else has or had this problem

I probably should have read reviews before going but It was urgent my son get in for an eye exam. This was the quickest we could find. The GPS took me to the wrong place . When calling and asking if there is anything that could be do diane was extremely rude and unhelpful. Then had the nerve to say even if I did make it i may not be able to be seen because THEY COULDNT VERIFY MY INSURANCE!- mind you there auto phone service says to complete online. Where they had all my info including number and could have called me. When asking what the best she could do because we drove 30 minutes - she said “nothing . Nothing till april” it would be one thing if she was ATLEAST pleasant to speak to! GET A NEW RECEPTIONIST! that person sets the tone for the entire buisness and she did a HORRIBLE JOB!

Me and my family came in to get checked the receptionist told us that we had to pay a copay and we know we dont have a copay our insurance covers at all still decided to charge us I will not come here ever again unless things change and they go by what are insurance pays I even called my insurance had them on the phone when back in to see why we werent supposedly covered I kept getting pushed to the side the one guy was more into his phone instead of helping and instead of looking what the insurance pays he guesses what we should pay if this place is worried about just money instead of the care of the people they need to go out of business

I was shockingly pleased with my experience at My Eye Doctor. The staff was polite, professional and attentive to my needs. I did not wait at all. The staff is organized and truly care about their patients. I felt that the doctor took the time to explain things to me and I did not feel rushed. I appreciated the time they took so I could chose glasses that were a fit for me. I highly recommend them for your optical needs.

I did not have a problem with this facility or its employees. I was greeted right away, I was examined within 5 minutes of my arrival time, and I met with the doctor almost immediately after. Cannot wait to go pick up my glasses. Anne was amazing and so helpful.

Called their last week and was told come on in no appointment necessary and we can measure your glasses and get you the right lens... went there this morning and was told we cannot help you because you are not a patient of ours The part that really pisses me off the most was my stepdaughter is a district manager for this company in Raleigh North Carolina and told me to go therecustomer service sucks

One of the nicest places Ive been to. Staff member Amy and Pam are absolutely the sweetest ladies you will ever meet. They were amazing with my child who has special needs. Amy helped us with pricing concerns and kept the budget slim and Pam was amazing with the pre show in the side room. All the hard work these two do I applaud. Ill be bringing my kids back as well as myself. Dr. Paden is also amazing and explained everything when we didnt understand and took his time with our son. Kudos to my eye doctor....

The communicative ability of the employees here is absolutely abysmal. Ive had some difficulty with a pair of sunglasses Ive recently purchased and decided that I might want to return them. They failed to inform me that because I was purchasing a pair of glasses that were outside of the companies main line (Oakleys) that I would not be able to return them for a refund. that alone upset me enough to write this review. It also took them nearly six weeks to get me in for my appointment too. while Im at it, The lady in front of me had been informed that her daughters new glasses had been received by the company and that she can come pick them up. She showed up with her daughter only to be told the glasses were not there... I read a review that had this same exact complaint too... So, this must be a regular occurrence at this facility... Today, because I wasnt informed of the return policy on specific eye wear, Im out a bit over 500.00... yes... Im angry and I will not be going back to this store...

Communication is a lost skill here.Calling to say glasses were done, when they werent.Not calling when they are done.When we finally get ahold of someone, we were told come in tomorrow and pick them up.Were not told that they would be closed for inventory.Nearly a grand in glasses between insurance and out-of-pocket expenses, and we cant even get someone to talk to us?Wont be going back.

EDITED....MyEyeDr West Manchaster is wonderful and helpful...I will still steer clear of Carlisle personally jaded.This will be long winded...I have been going here for YEARS since they were Allegheny. The last few years have been awful. There have been scheduling mishaps, to the doctor falling asleep for split seconds while writing out my prescription, TWICE, at (2) different appts! The first time I brushed it off as exhaustion but the second time its either narcolepsy or he needs help. Opening authorizations when I have not scheduled an appt with them, not having time to check and transfer before (theyll call me back...I know how THAT goes) even though they are the ones causing the grief, making it a nightmare to scramble the day before to change to the provider I ACTUALLY scheduled with. I have been a loyal customer for YEARS and asked during the one scheduling mishap a few months ago if I could get a SAMPLE contact of the last prescription to hold me over until the appt I was about to reschedule, as the nose piece created a blister and was painful, they said they couldnt do that and offered no solution. That was the last straw. I said nevermind to rescheduling after this mishap and them not being able to hand over a free SAMPLE?? I mentioned this to West Manchester and they fixed the nose piece a few mins later and gave me sample contacts until my appt. If feasible, go to West Manchester Town center...they have been nothing but helpful!

If I could give a zero star I would. I went 2 weeks ago for an eye exam and afterwards the office staff informed me that since my contacts were not in stock, they would be ordered and it would take about 1 week. 2 weeks later I went to the office to check on my contacts and the lady says the lab has no record of the order and she did not know what happened. I asked for my prescription and was told the doctor will not release it until I have had the contacts in my eyes for 2 hours. So now I have no contacts and my prescription is being held hostage because of the incompetence of the office staff. I will never go to this place again. Ever.

Less then 1... Aug 3, 21017 exam now September 20th is the next date they are do to arrive. Yes next, 3 different dates have been given! I am doing just all the calling. I want to star off by saying that I am not necessarily giving this particular office one star, however, I would absolutely give the company overall one star....maybe even less.Got my glasses adjusted on a Saturday at 2:00pm and realized the woman who adjusted them broke the ear piece (cracked straight through rendering them unwearable). I am not placing blame on her persay as she was extremely nice and didnt have a problem with doing the adjustment even though she was busy with customers and I am certain she didnt realize that happened. As I was in a hurry, I did not fully inspect them before leaving, so its partially my fault for not checking. After getting home at 3:00pm and realizing their office was closed and I had broken glasses, I called the on call line to let them know what happened because I wouldnt be able to come in until the following week. First of all, I could hardly understand the man I was talking to. His accent was extremely thick and he wasnt even listening to what I was saying. Honestly, it seemed like he was trying to get me off the phone. The man claimed he made a note in my file which would be relayed to the office staff, however, when I called the York Road office the following Monday, I found out he didnt make a note or even attempt to access my file. This shows me that this company doesnt seem to care about their patients. They literally just want their money. Thats sad to me because vision is quite literally one of the most important aspects to health and quality of life. Fortunately, the woman I spoke to on Monday was very kind and apologetic and made sure to write down everything that I said. She even read back to me what she had written which was reassuring.Update: thankfully they were able to give me the same glasses that were on the display and just popped my old lenses in the frame. Unfortunately I have had to go back multiple times to get them re-adjusted since they are basically brand new frames to me (even though they look the same). First they werent fitting correctly and the one side piece was loose and now the piece that goes behind my ear is digging into the side of my head and giving me a headache making them impossible to wear! This whole mess in enteral had been such a headache in general to be honest.If I could go to Dr. Stoken in Carlisle with my insurance, I would probably switch. Unfortunately he doesnt seem to accept a lot of insurance plans.However, on a positive note, I will say MyEyeDr does have a very broad selection of frames to choose from which is nice.
