I’m pleasantly surprised with our experience here. I have a kiddo with autism and I was dreading having to take him to a dentist but knew it needed to be done. They worked so well with him. I was honestly speechless. The office is very clean and the lighting is nice and relaxing. I’m very happy with our experience so far and look forward to my own appointment next week!

The staff that saw to me were very professional and quite knowledgeable. A friendly approach with a little humor. It made my 2 hours in the dentists chair go by rather quickly. I would refer them if asked by my friends.

The expertise and technology is the highest that I have ever experienced.

From the moment you open the door and walk in you know everything is going to be alright. There is a very large salt water aquarium in the waiting room. This put me at ease immediately. Every person is kind, friendly and well organized. The process is very streamline, from x-rays to exam. State of the art equipment. The entire inner business area is designed for the clients calm peacefulness. Dr. Halbleib is one of the very best dentist with complete command of his interview from the first moment he meets you, that I have experienced. Calm, clear, steady communication through the entire exam.

It was fascinating to watch the building of my crown on the 3D printer. In and out in a couple of hours, no weeks of waiting with a flimsy temporary. Super efficient. Would have like a chance to lubricate my lips before the dental dam went in. Very little discomfort. The crown fits beautifully though the texture is a little weird, hopefully it can be polished next visit.😊😊👍

I was visiting family in Santa Cruz from out of state when I developed severe tooth pain. They were able to see me the very next day and determined I needed a root canal and a crown. They worked me into the schedule for the next week, and within 2 hours of my appointment, I was out of the office with all work completed. All the staff, from the front office to the technicians and dentists were so incredibly kind, professional and helpful. I was so impressed with my entire experience. No one wants to have dental work done on vacation, but I couldn’t have been more pleased with their service. I highly recommend the Seabreeze Dental Group. First rate all the way!

DO NOT GO HERE! TOTAL FINANCIAL SCAM!I came to this office because they took my insurance. Office staff were very kind, no one was rude! BUT after a quick 20 minute cleaning (that in itself should’ve been a red flag) I had my consult with the dentist and was informed that I needed 8 fillings, a partial crown, and a night guard which would cost me around $2500. This seemed strange to me (I’m only 23, and I floss and brush every day), so I decided to get a second opinion from the dentist I’d seen for years before. I would’ve seen him to begin with, but again new job so he didn’t take my insurance. It was at that checkup that I was told me teeth were COMPLETELY FINE! This establishment is a complete scam and is taking advantage of patients. It makes me sad because i noticed when I was in there that most of the patients were elderly, and are probably being swindled into paying for unnecessarydental work :( STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!This dentist also has TWO Yelp pages, look up Dr Jessie Halbleib on Yelp to see the 40+ *negative* reviews explaining what a scam this place is. Yikes

Absolutely incredibly fabulous. I would highly recommend Seabreeze dental group to anyone looking for dental work in the Santa Cruz area.I received four custom front teeth crowns and two root canals with 5 hours in the same day and I feel great.

Clean and nice, but cant get in for a cleaning. I told the receptionist I have off Fridays and can only come in that day for a cleaning. She said it was required to have an exam & x-rays done first. The earliest I could get an appt. for that was over a month out. It finally came. I went and it took over an hour to do the exam & x-rays (most dentist offices do exam, x-rays & cleaning in an hour and 10 mins). Then they said they had no cleaning appts. on Fridays and none on any days until February. I really am disappointed that I wasted my time on this dentist when I could have gotten in somewhere sooner for a cleaning without the exam and x-rays to delay it. The office was clean and staff were nice, but poor communication and scheduling. The dentist said she cant find hygienists who want to come back to work.

Please forgive me for a delayed response to the very good visit to SeaBreeze Dental in Capitola. I was having a terrible toothache and I needed to see a trusted dental group I was referred to you good people and a visit appointment was set up. Your friendly Dental Technician set my anxiety at ease with warm reassurance & funny story about parking spaces. Because I neglected to have regular dental visits I was ashamed at what they would discover & tell me what was wrong with my dental health. The woman dentist who saw me had such a caring heart I I knew I could trust her findings and plans for my future dental health needs. Then the financial lady went over insurance costs & handed me a fact sheet I could understand. With thoughtful guidance I knew if I needed to I could call her back on this. And yes the front office staff gave me a nice goodbye upon leaving. Thank you all!

The staff was friendly but Im a bit disappointed as I called to make a dental cleaning but since it was my first time there I just got a consultation and x-rays. I have never had a first time visit to a dentist that didnt include a cleaning. There was little communication and I had to call the day before my appointment to confirm if they still accepted my insurance. I felt like I said the word dental cleaning enough times in my phone calls and appointment to convey I was expecting a cleaning as well. I made this appointment over a month in advance to fit into my busy work schedule and now have to wait several weeks to try and get a cleaning.

Thorough, professional quality care. Dentist points out all possible cracks, specks of cavities and imperfections in previous crowns, and presents a choice, but the apparent consequence of not doing all of the work is festering cavities that may lead to root canals or broken teeth. My insurance only covers metal fillings, that Seabreeze doesnt do, on the back molars; so it looked extremely expensive to me somehow despite a 50% discount on the in-house porcelain crowns. Metal fillings elsewhere would be much cheaper but may need to be replaced again. My cost after insurance for 5 cavities exceeded the value of my 3 cars, motor boat, and bike combined.

It was my first time here, and I will be using this business. Right from the beginning I was greeted with friendly people. Jesse seemed incredibly knowledgable and very gently--which was important to me because I have a mild hate for the dentist. ha! Highly recommend.

While visiting the area, I had an emergency tooth issue and Seabreeze/Dr. Hs office was able to get me an appointment the same-day. Dr. H is a really nice guy and extremely patient and helpful in answering any and all of my questions. After asking lots of diagnostic questions and checking my tooth out, he presented me with all of my options and discussed risk/benefits, etc. Dr. H and Angel proceeded with treatment - only after I felt completely comfortable and had no more questions, which I really appreciate from any of my health providers. I almost wish I lived in the area, so Dr. H could be my ongoing dentist!PS - office, staff, and COVID protocols all made me feel very safe and comfortable.

This office is amazing. They always are very friendly, professional and competent in their work. I was always comfortable and knew exactly what the doctor was going to do before they started. They worked with my budget to get the dental work done that I needed and provided a program which was feasible for me to get my smile back. My hygienist was wonderful! She was so sweet and always remembers me and was just a great person to be around. Dr. H is a gem himself and is always very personable and professional. Great care, great people.

Staff was very friendly and I was seen pretty close to my appointment time. The low rating is for their business ethics. They refused to perform a regular cleaning and tried to get me to pay $650 to clean my teeth, without insurance the cost would’ve been over $2500. I called my insurance provider and they advised I find a new dentist.

My 4 yr old was very nervous but Karlee, our hygienist, made it fun and easy!

I dont usually write the reviews but I thought if anyone who feels enxiety to get done your dental works like me i would like to highly recommend this place. I was so impressed how clean and make me feel safe with COVID time and high tec equipment make so easy and fast get done around that helps alot with busy mom like me. Doctor & every one of the staff were so kind and well take care of me and most of all there are vary patient with patients! I got done one side of deep cleaning and dental hygienist so professional and she was so kind and good listening what my needs are and she was making sure I was feeling comfortable whole time. she was gentle and careful to cleaning and fast got done. The hygienist are great, they encourage me and my kids to do better but they are not pushy. they dont make you feel bad when we dont done well and they give praise and encouragement when we have. Dr. Halbleib and his staff are very highly skilled and professional. Dr. Halbleib is an excellent tooth mechanic, he can prep and put in a crown in about an hour - so minimal amount of discomfort for the patient. He doesnt to upsell you - he only does what is necessary.

I had a problem with two teeth and SeaBreeze Dental got me in and took care of the problem. Not only the Dr. and Angle, but the entire staff were very professional and very easy to work with. I had a very good experience.

After multiple bad experiences at a western dental chain office, I finally took matters into my own hands and switched to Seabreeze dental and I after just one visit, I am in love with this place. They treated me with respect, spoke to me like a human being rather than a number, and made sure to explain everything in detail in a way that I would understand and even broke down pricing from how much before and after insurance. My dentist was there for me and asked me what Id like to do and how Id like to take care of the issues and created a plan together that works for me instead of her just telling me what needs to be done and handing me a quote for payment.Id also like to point out that since getting my quote, Ive noticed that my old dentist didnt even quote me correctly. I just knew something was off about the quote with my insurance and sure enough the quote from Seabreeze proved to me that my old dentist office was sketchy and untrustworthy ontop of disrespectful.Big thanks to seabreeze dental for being professional and respectful!

Quick and easy experience. Dr. Halbleib and Angle used a Solea Laser to give me 6 cavities which was a first for me. Luckily it was extremely easy, quick, and no shots were needed for numbing. Pretty impressive stuff!Thanks.

This is a very pleasant dental office. The dentist is charming. I felt uncomfortable with their treatment plan and costs. They added procedures that are not covered by my insurance to make my copay very high. The costs for a crown were higher than I have experienced with other dentists. The financial explanation of this care was hurried and sort of a hard sell.

Hygienist was lovely, very compassionate and professional. Dr. Halblieb is straightforward, professional, knowledgeable. The woman that handles finances is wonderful. I have had a few issues with the receptionists— improperly scheduled appointments, lack of documentation, lack of follow-up.

Due to pandemic, my visit to Seabreeze was less than expected. I waited and waited just to see the dentist and receive x-rays, and then waited again for him to return to discuss treatment. Another dentist was called in to discuss my situation and eventually I was able to leave. The office manager was truly apologetic for the wait, and I could see how the dentist hurried about trying to keep all the balls in the air. My husband received treatment from this dentist and was very pleased.Visit on Jan 8th, 2021: Iranian dental tech, (did not catch her name) was very professional in every way, including a brief gratis cleaning. I had not been informed I needed permission from my doctor to perform a laser deep cleaning due to my congestive heart condition. Once that document is faxed, will schedule another apptmt.

Great Service Friendly Dental Team

The X-Ray Tech repeatedly pushed the armature of the dental tool holding my X-Ray receptor with the back of his hand as he admonished me to hold still and not move. After this repeated I told him it was his hand moving it as best I could articulate that. The doctor was reluctant and slow to perceive that the bacterial abscess I had was the result of poorly controlled diabetes which gives rise to bacterial colonies and poor or slow wound healing. Though I arrived with the lay expectation I had an abscess and gum injury from using alcohol based mouthwash, contributing to soft tissue erosion and I had Listerine Sensitive with me to show what I was doing now, a patient near me was admonished for too much obsessive gum treatment. As I went to the pharmacy AFTER the dental visit to get my metformin I also bought running shoe gel inserts to use a Diabetes based blood sugar management approach, exercise, diet, Metformin. A person dressed similar to me at the CVS with similarly shoes and kackie shorts was buying massive obsessive amounts of Listerine Alcohol based mouthwash and toothpaste. The entirety of this fits the patters of mis-identification of me in the medical system as Information Dopplegangers (identity thieves of me) are treated for being morons, mentally incompetent, and in need of 3rd parties to manage their assets for them. This is not the case with me. Both with good urgent care near Ashley National Forrest in Vernal or here at Capitola, it is me, familiar with Diabetes and my medical history, pointing out that I need to get that back under control. Not vice versa. I suspect nutjob behavioral health care SJWs are pretending I need their help. I do not. They also refused to provide either anti-biotics or Metformin to reverse this condition. NO medication at all. I will file a medical malpractice complain.
