Best doctor and staff ever. Always accommodating to the best of their ability and always pleasant. Love Dr Bekker and hope he never retires, even though he will beg to differ. Thanks for all you guys do.

After seeing many doctors for an ongoing thyroid condition, I finally went to DrBekker, who has been my husbands doctor for years.My first visit he sat with me and read through my whole test result history. He referred me immediately to a specialist and said if I didn’t like her- he would send me to another until I was happy and had someone proactive and dedicated to getting me better.Also I was relieved he was willing to do some prescription refills over the phone. Saves so much time vs docs who force an office call appt.So far, Dr Bekker is a blessing in my life!

He is a wonderful doctor! He always listens, and goes out of his way to get you in right away if you come down with something that needs immediate attention. Also very pleasant.

Wow I am really shocked and disappointed by a couple reviewers because I think Dr. Bekker is very knowledgeable and compassionate. To the one reviewer who complained he didnt call back her husband... why should he? You already saw a specialist who basically confirmed what Bekker said about the test results... hes a single doctor office, not a corporation like IHA, UofM or Henry Ford, can you imagine how many patients expect calls, appointments, medication changes, tests ordered, etc... do you really think you are his priority with a call about normal results, which he already told you before you went ahead with a specialist? Then you give him a 1 star because he didnt call you back then he did and almost hung up on you. How was your demeanor on the other end, I wonder? Unbelievable. His profession is a doctor and I have seen him for close to 10 years, he has ALWAYS shown concern, interest, compassion for me. I had a herniated disc on my C-6 2 yrs ago, he ordered a MRI and got me in within 3 days. His office staff is friendly, helpful and knows everyone by their first name, your not a number like in the corporate facilities. Dr. Bekker is one of the few doctors who practice solo. I love that and I will stay with Dr Bekker until he retires.

After many years of having Dr. Bekker as our family physician, I would have never believed the aforementioned review until I experienced it myself. Dr. Bekker comes across as a very warm, friendly, and personable Dr. until you question him. A few months ago, my husband had test results that were misread by Dr. Bekker, which resulted in him seeing a specialist. The specialist indicated no reason for concern and that his test levels were in fact within normal range and continued monitoring was all that was required. After seeing the specialist, my husband called Dr. Bekker to discuss this. Dr. Bekker never called him back. He also never sent his test results despite multiple requests. After nearly 3 weeks, my husband was extremely frustrated with the lack of responsiveness, so I proceeded to call the office questioning the test results, and further questioned having to pay the recent billing I had received. For some reason, my call prompted Dr. Bekker to call back immediately, in which he became very defensive, and proceeded to hang up on me as I was explaining the situation. What kind of Dr. hangs up on their patient?!! He was so rude and demonstrated the most disrespectful, unprofessional behavior I have ever experienced, not to mention violating one of the most important aspects of the Dr./patient relationship: listening. He never owned up to the fact that he misread and misinterpreted test results and more importantly, never apologized for his behavior. Looking back, there were other instances that caused us to question his input for our family: one related to my test results and one related to my childrens immunizations, to which I had also asked for a call back to discuss and never received. As a result of this latest incident, we immediately changed doctors for the benefit of our family. Perhaps if he wouldve called my husband to begin with or suggested we come in to discuss the situation, he couldve avoided this review and losing patients. I suspect he doesnt care. But we do care and will never, ever recommend Dr. Bekker to anyone.

I once thought Dr Bekker was great. He was patient and kind. Then our insurance changed to one he didnt take and for close to 9 months I was left without a doctor. Dr Bekker refused to see our family as cash paying and I was stuck in limbo with our new insurance company because they kept saying it was going to get straightened out. In the meantime Dr Bekkers office is even refusing to refill my medication. I had to get my cardiologist to write prescriptions for what he could and go without on everything else. I had been seeing Dr Bekker for over 10 years so I was surprised at his attitude and when in the past I would recommend him now I would not. Which is a shame because until the end I really liked him but I promised my dying husband that I would never go back if I got different insurance and I cant forget the treatment we got. 😞

This Dr.Bekker will act like he cares for people but really doesnt and guesses alot on what he thinks maybe wrong with you. Will never recommend him to anyone. Since I was finally diagnosed with a very rare gastrointestinal syndrome he never diagnosed and I suffered with many problems not handled properly. I maintained a Dr patient relationship after 9yrs and he isnt as nice as he comes off. Once he leaves work he could care less. Superior misenteric artery syndrome never diagnosed fibromyalgia severe spinal stenosis from accident he never ordered tests. Thanks Dr. Bekker for almost letting me die and being a jerk.
