Delayed a procedure on our pet and than when my wife brought her in for a check up before surgery they prescribed an injection than 5 minutes later they tell my wife that the dog wont survive the procedure and we should think about putting her down. Than after we do call my wife demanding payment for shot that was a useless procedure. stay away if you love your pets as much as we do. Very unprofessional services!

Weve been working with Acres Mill for the past year & a half when my cat Gizmo was ultimately diagnosed with kidney disease & a thyroid disorder. Dr Stewart has been compassionate yet realistic in her care of Gizmo. Weve had some tough conversations along the way but she has taken the time to explain his conditions to me fully (even during Covid when it had to be exclusively over the phone) yet with concern & care. She recognizes that we love our pets & they are part of our family. Their fees are also manageable & theyve been upfront about all the costs involved in his care & I cant think of a single staff member who hasnt been thoughtful & pleasant with us & with Gizmo. Thank you!

Acres Mill has always been amazing with our animals! The staff are VERY knowledgeable, and they just always take really good care of us. They wont do surgeries unless its absolutely necessary, and I love that. They care and want to make the right diagnosis and they seem to always do that! VERY PLEASED!

I called in asking to schedule and appointment for the ONLY day I wasn’t working. The woman who was trying to schedule me basically said my dog needed to be seen ASAP and I need to bring him in the next day based on the symptoms I described (vomiting, constipation).I tried to tell her I literally work every day except for the one I asked to be scheduled for. She still insisted I take him in the next day.I gave in and she put me down for 12:30. I asked someone to take him for me because of my jobThat day I dropped him off only for them to come to my work telling me he was denied his appointment because the office said it was 12:00. I have proof of the confirmation at TWELVE THIRTY. All this stress for them to completely switch up on me.

We’ve been taking our dog here for the last 4 years. They are wonderful here. My dog has serious anxiety regarding the vet and they do so well with her. They are always able to get her in for an appointment quickly. Pricing is very reasonable. Would recommend to fur parents. 😊

My puppy had an 11:30am appointment, we arrived at the Acres Mills Vet. at 11:00am. I called spoke to a tech to let them know we arrived and was sitting in the parking lot, (they are doing curbside service); I see the tech assisting other customers bringing pet and paperwork in/out of the office. 1 hour later (12:00pm) I’m still waiting to be seen, needlessly to say there were other people coming to the office after me; the tech walks over to help them. When I call inside and ask if everything is okay and tell them that I have been waiting in the parking lot for an hour. The tech says “oh, I thought you said you were running late” . WTH are you kidding me??? I am sitting in this small parking lot for an hour, in a big black SUV...the reality is I was being IGNORED and LOOKED PASSED. I call to speak with the doctor, the tech puts me on hold so long I hang up.

Dr. Stewart and Acres Mill staff have been a great help in the care of my dogs. Compassionate and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Acres Mill for anyone seeking excellent pet care in the canton area.

Dr Michele Stewart and the staff at Acres Mill do a great job! We just went through a difficult week almost losing one of our huskies to HGE and after his emergency vet care and then continuing care at Acres Mill he pulled through! Dr Stewart called to follow up and see how he was doing and I really appreciated that. Then only 5 days later our other husky (12.5 years old) was deteriorating and we decided to put her to sleep. Dr Stewart and her staff were so kind and compassionate fully understanding what a difficult time it was for us. She and Dr Cooke both signed a handwritten note and Sympathy card and mailed it to us. I highly recommend Acres Mill Veterinary Clinic!

You need to think twice about using them ever. They thought they had my cc on file and when they realized the did not they called me 4 times in a row every day until I was back in town. They even sent me 2 emails a day, I told them that I was away. They even called my office and were rude to my staff. Unbelievable. They also threatened to inform the magistrate court and all of this was in the email they sent. by Leighann Pierce who i guess is the owner.Yeah what a class act.

I brought my pet in for an annual and grooming. Doctor was very nice and explained what they were doing and what things I need to keep an eye on. Didnt try to push things on me, explained what they recommend and gave me options so I could choose what works best for my budget. Then when I picked her up from her groom she looked amazing. So cute with her little bows and smelled so clean. Will defiantly be back

I appreciate the friendliness of all the employees. My favorite aspect of this vet clinic is that they match the on-line price for prescriptions (or come very close). There are websites that are much less expensive than 1-800-petmeds, and Acres Mill honors those.I believe that their main goal is to help their patients, not to make a fortune by ripping off the pet parents, which seems to be the case at other clinics Ive used. For those of us trying to exist on Social Security, it is a tremendous help!I wrote the foregoing several months ago. Their kindness and helpfulness continue.

We have used Acres Mill for 3 years. The staff is very friendly and always there to answer any questions. The doctors are wonderful. They take their time with each of our pets, and always make sure that our pets are well taken care of. We have used the boarding facilities many times. The staff working in the boarding area always treat our pets as their own. They are available to answer my calls when I call and check on my pets. I have been extremely pleased with all of my visits to Acres Mill. I highly recommend them for all of your veterinary needs.

I can honestly list the things that make Acres Mill Veterinary Clinic so amazing. First they are a clean facility and office, second the staff is extremely friendly! They made sure to assist us with getting both of our dogs in and out of the office. The Doctors treated the dogs with respects and kindness, I would always recommend Acres Mill Veterinary Clinic.

I called to see if I could have my puppys x-rays and blood work sent over to them because he needs surgery and the lady who answers the phone just acted like they couldnt do it, didnt have the time, she made excuses and just sat there then said, well today is my surgery day. Then didnt say anything. Like you do ONE surgery day a week! Unreal. Ill never spend a dime at a place that APPARENTLY doesnt need customers there. She needs a new job, one that doesnt require answering phones because shes definitely not bringing in business.

I had used acres mill for all my pets needs including grooming and boarding. My puppy, whom I loved very much, had a skin condition which caused him to be very sick and required medication. When my dogs condition came back, I called the office not once but three times telling them and begged for the medication. They said it wasnt what was wrong with him (didnt have me come in, didnt give me the medicine). I even tried to get other vets to do the skin test but they wouldnt without a costly exam. I finally demanded that he come in and be seen. When they saw him and did the skin test, it came out positive and it had reached such severe degree that my puppy had to be put down! I told them that it may have eventually come to this but he didnt have to suffer like he was. If they had just listed to me he would not have lived his last days miserably!I really liked this office before this occurred and now I not only wont go there, Im thinking of suing for malpractice.Listen to the pet owner...they know their pets!

This is by far the worst veterinary clinic I have ever been to. One thing that that disturbed me was that prices would bounce around for my dog and they would never stay the same on certain things. I spoke to my “Neighbor” and he had the same issue. Also the girl upfront And some of the staff are very rude. I have worked Dogs in the military and also out of the military and I have been to many veterinary clinics and this by far is the worst one that I have ever been to. My advice this place is a scam and pick another clinic.

These people here are very nice. I got my new dog fixed here and was very happy with the outcome. They called to check on her after to see how she was doing. I felt they truly care about her and her wellbeing. I also used the several times since then for grooming and they are great. The people here are always so nice every time I go here.

I have never been there with my dog but i stopped by to inquire about pet care one day and waited about 10 minutes and was never acknowledged so i left. Some months later i called to see what the cost of having my black lab spayed, to the best of my ability i think they quoted me about $550.00. WOW that is crazy, i had my dog spayed at ABUNDANT CARE right down the road for $99.00 including medicine and everything. All went well. CAN YOU SAY RAPING THE CUSTOMER BOYS AND GIRLS.

Me & my little guy loved this place! I have been coming here since 2007 and once when I moved I started going to another vet office that was closer to where I moved but it wasnt the same so I started driving back here. Unfortunately I had to say goodbye to my little dog this past Feb at an emergency vet and once I told them about the loss they were very kind and sent their sympathy for my loss.As soon as you walk in there are kind, happy, smiling people up front to greet you which is nice especially when have a sick animal. Almost all the vets are just great and you can really tell that care about and love animals. I rarely had to wait more than 10-15 for the vet and my appointments were almost always on time. I recommend this vet to all!

I started coming to Acres Mill just over 5 years ago with a dog I was fostering and this is the vet they use. Well, Im a foster failure, but I continue to come here (despite it being over 20 miles each way) because Dr Stewart is absolutely fantastic. She diagnosed my dogs skin condition the FIRST time and got her on the right medications. Dr Stewart is very compassionate and understanding, especially since my dog is very fearful (she was removed from an abusive home). I cant say enough about how great the office and staff are.

Acres Mills has an amazing staff. My dog sasha is always excited to go to the vet and they always treat her so sweet. Its so important to me that people are so nice to her as she is a rescue. I love that they treat her as if she was their own. I would recommend to anyone.

I moved from Kansas and found this place. The staff are really nice at Acres Mill Vet Clinic. I really like Doctor Stewart. She is very thorough and so gentle with my dog. I appreciate that so much.

The great service I received at Acres Mill began at the front desk and continued with the doctors and vet tech. Everyone there is super friendly and cares about your pet like its their own. All my questions are always answered and my dogs seem to feel at ease there. If my dogs like Acres Mill, then so do I.

Very disappointed. On our first visit with a new kitten the Dr. seemed very nervous and was unsuccessful in dispensing oral medication...my gut told me I should step in and do it myself and never go back! Second visit to board our dog we were called 15 minutes after drop off and told we must come get him because they were unable to calm him down...hes 13! Once again, shouldve gone with our gut feelings but took our kitten back a year later for an emergency and ended up having another vet take care of what the Acres Mill Dr. was nervous to handle himself! I hate to make negative comments but 3rd times a charm...well be taking our pets to Ball Ground Animal Hospital moving forward...those folks know how to handle animals!

Doctor Alleyne is fantastic with both of my dogs. The surgeries he performed have always gone without complications. He is very knowledgeable, kind and understanding. Also, the people on the front desk are very courteous and professional. If I had one complaint, it would be the expense, but I dont think you could find a better vet for less money! I feel they have always treated me fairly.

My experience was not necessarily with their vet clinic, but their grooming services they offer. I have a small cat, that has medium length hair..and has been groomed multiple times in the past with no complaints. I dropped my cat off at Acres Mill this morning for a bath, grooming, and for vaccinations that were required. The initial grooming was supposed to cost $40 (based on her size and hair), with the vaccinations totaling $40 as well...so $80 altogether. I thought this was reasonable because the places I used to go to were the same price for grooming. And the vaccinations I requested them to do.I sensed that there was something not necessarily right, because she wouldnt let me pay for everything up front...as I was going to work and would have someone else pick up my pet. And the staff seemed very hesitant with my pet, specifically the woman who was supposed to groom her. I dont know if she was new and training, or whatever the case...but I just didnt have a good feeling.Within an hour, the staff called me saying that my cat needed to be sedated because she was agitated by the groomer and trying to bite her. My cats normally a calm, gentle animal; and has been to groomers many times, with them all saying how sweet shes been. Even when I would bathe her at home, there was little to no trouble. This led me to believe that something had gone wrong, either she was too rough with my pet, or had been too close with the clippers.I told the woman who called me, I would rather just pay now. For my cat to be sedated, it cost me another $35, which I felt was completely unreasonable. The only alternative I was offered was to bring her back the next day so the groomer could finish. Or for more staff members to come and hold the cat down while they finish....the cat is approximately 6-8 pounds, and that just leads me even more to believe that someone isnt doing their job correctly.When the final bill came, I owed $135 when I was originally told around $80. Thats a BIG difference in price estimation. And I know that I took my pet to be groomed in order to prevent shedding, so it wasnt about fashion...but the job they did is terrible. Her fur is completely hacked and chopped, uneven lengths...and for a cat that had to basically be put to sleep for them to finish...theres more that could have been done. I definitely feel like I was pushed more for money, than quality service. And if it had been a better experience, maybe the price wouldnt be so bad. Not to mention, the person I had pick her up said that their attitude was very rude and pushy.Im sure their vet staff is great, but as far as the grooming goes...I wouldnt recommend it. This was my first and last time dealing with Acres Mill. Ive received much better service for a third of the price.

Acres Mill has always been efficient with my pets care. You dont have to wait for treatment and their diagnosis is clear and correct. Their office and treatment rooms are clean. The staff is very friendly and professional.

Worst vet around. Ive had several horrible experiences due to emergencies and them being close to my house. My most recent bad experience involved a starving puppy. It had not eaten in 3 days and would not eat. They would not see it at all because I admitted I didnt have a lot of money right now. I explained I would have plenty in 4 days but they did not care. If they cared about animals they would have tried to help the dog rather than their pockets.

When I take my pet to Acres Mill Veterinary Clinic I feel like they are in good hands. Dr. Stewart is always informative and give the information that we need. She is always clear and to the point. I highly recommend Acres Mill Veterinary Clinic.

I would give no stars if I could. They are totally unprofessional at this clinic. I recently needed a vet for my German Shepherd that broke her leg trying to get away from a wildlife attack and they refused to even look at her. So I went to another animal hospital in Jasper , they were very caring and took verrrrrrry good care of my German Shepherd and she is on the road to recovery. Take my advice I wouldnt take any animal to these guys.

Acres Mill Vet Clinic has been very good to me and my two dogs! I wish I hadnt moved away, as it is rarely convenient for me to bring them to Acres Mill. They handled a surgery for my dog 2 years ago though, and I was very glad I made the drive!

Very respectful of your time! They get you in within minutes rather than hours. Friendly atmosphere and theyre open later than other places through the week and on Saturdays.

They were very nice and had no problem explaining to use what was wrong with our cat and what our options where to help our cat to be health and to enjoy him in our live as long as we could. They are a great group of people and I wish I had found them long before I went to our original vet we took our cat too.

I have been taking my 2 dogs to Acres Mill V. C. for 5 years now and they have never let me down. The entire staff is very friendly and professional. I use their boarding service almost monthly. At times I have to leave my dogs for a month at a time and Ive always felt confident they were getting the best treatment during their stay. My dogs show their excitement when ARRIVING and leaving their facility. The kennel area is kept very clean and the dogs have enough space to roam while they are outdoors for play time. I have also taken my dogs in for medical issues and Dr. Alleyne has always been caring and helpful in taking care of any issues.

The veterinarian was very knowledgeable in this field and knew exactly what she was doing. She treated me pets illness and it was overall a very helpful experience. I would recommend them to anyone.

We are new to the area and my neighbors recommended Acres Mill. Im so glad they did. My dog is a senior (10 years old) and has issues with arthritis. Dr. Stewart was very kind and caring, and she explained what is going on with my dog in a way that was understandable. She also prescribed medication to help him through the rough spots when the pain flares up. I got a personal call from her the next day to report on the lab results. These kinds of things mean a lot when youre worried about your pets health. I highly recommend Acres Mill and the doctors and staff there.

Absolutely the worse vet ever they didnt give my in laws our dogs medicine when they were picked up and they charge you for nail cutting when they dont even do it. I do not recommend this vet to anyone!

I am SO angry. These scam artists are trying to get $100 out of me to physically exam my dogs before they can board there...... I was already going to be dropping $300 to board them for 10 days, but you know what Ill be taking my business elsewhere from now on. I wont be paying $100 for them to physically exam my dogs (that have DO updated vaccines and blood work) by just looking at them and saying theyre good to go. Dont go here if you value your money. Freaking con artists.

While on vacation a year ago we boarded our dog and he unfortunately ended up suffering from beginning stages of renal failure. We were told he could have months to live when we asked if we should cut our vacation short and head home. Two hours later we received a phone call that he would need to be put down. This happened over a year ago and it is still leaves a huge hole in our heart. The vet that took care of our pet is no longer with the clinic so hopefully this will not happen again with someone elses pet. We have since rescued another family member and we are using another vet.

Took our lab in to be put to sleep this past fri. People up front showed no compassion at all, all they cared about was collecting money.I noticed the man was rude to other people with dogs. The doctor was so so.They need to train their front end people to show more concern when customers bring their pets in for Euthanasia and explain the process.I had to call the pet cremation place to get more information.

We were very pleased that Acres Mill was able to see Coconut so expeditiously. Well follow the doctors recommendations, and come back for the next appointment and surgery for our favorite little fellow.

Really like the facility, staff, and Dr. Alleyne. I was, however a bit disappointed in the fact that when I took my dog for some minor ailments, she stayed 2 nights, it cost about $160 and no one ever called to check on her. They said to call if there were problems but every vet I have ever had in the past has called to check on the dog/cat once they went home with any type of issue. I dont think its necessary to call after a routine shot or visit but with a problem its best practice to follow up. All in all, good place, convenient and friendly. Definitely recommend Dr. Alleyne

They communicate with you & keep you informed. They know exactly whats going on with your situation, who you are, which pet is yours, etc. You are easily & quickly helped when youre in the office. Its organized, friendly, and clean! Much better than the competitor just down the street!Dr. Rafla & his staff saved my dogs life! He was being treated by another vet down the street & he just kept getting worse! On his last check-up there that vet told me was improving, but I knew he was not. Thats when I went to Acres Mill. What a difference! The previous vet had misdiagnosed my dog & was giving him meds that were making him sicker! Within a month my dog was back to his old self thanks to, Dr. Rafla!

I had been going for years to a vet clinic local to me in Kennesaw but a friend clued me in I was getting ripped off and suggested I try this place. I brought my Yellow Lab and Leonberger for shots and checkup and it was roughly 1/3 the price of what I was accustomed to paying. I was in and out in an appropriate amouunt of time and the Vet was Wonderful with my dogs! I was totally pleased and will definitely travel the extra 20 miles to go here in the future. It is worth it!

After finding Dr. Goode who was recommended by a friend. I used him for years at the Town and Country Veterinary Clinic in Marietta. Dr. Goode operated on Punky when she was a Puppy and had a Cancerous cell on her foot. He is resonable in price, very resonable!, They operate their own Animal Shelter for homeless pets and abused animals. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone! Every vet we have seen at Town and Country was great!When we moved to Canton and took PunkyT (our dog) to a new vet I was so unhappy with the experience that I called Dr. Goodes clinic in Marietta and told them I wanted to switch back and told my husband we would just have to deal with the drive to Marietta..well lo and behold the recptionist told me they had a location in Canton! I was so so stoked!! We of course moved PunkyT there and have been there ever since!My dog has allergies and because of that has so many ear infections that we spend a fortune in Vet visits. They have made it so we can now order her ear meds that have to be special ordered from Pet Meds so that she can get the ear drops faster than they were able to get it..This shows how much they care about the animals welfare... more than they care about a paycheck!If you are looking for a great vet...be sure to try them out..after one visit you will see the qualily of care they provide and the reasonable price they charge!
