I just got my all 4 of my wisdom teeth out and i was incredibly anxious, it was a really easy procedure and it took 50 minutes but it felt like 5 i was under general anesthesia, i have reflux but it didnt even matter, I had a thing called iv sedation where they drift you off too sleep, i remember bits and pieces of the whole thing, but i remember waking up with gauze in my mouth. really great s thing sedation is.10/10 would recommend

Dr. Carey and his staff make an amazing team! I recently had an implant case with Dr. Carey, and he pulled my daughter’s four impacted wisdom last week. From scheduling, to the consultations, to the actual procedures, to the follow ups...we were cared on so well. Any stress we initially felt, was eliminated by the calming nature of Dr. Carey and his staff.

I had surgery yesterday September 11, 2020 they are amazing. The staff are very personable and helpful. They have very thorough cleaning practices. The 24 hour surgeon on call helped me as I felt sick later in the day.

Dr. Carey is so caring and was so gentle with my daughter. His nurse Jacqui was just as sweet and was there for every need she had. My daughter had 2 teeth pulled and needed a tiny tooth fished out. As a 12 year old she was nervous for this procedure, but once we were in the office, everyone made us at ease. Even during COVID-19, we felt completely comfortable.Dr. Carey even went above and beyond to make sure that she didnt have any extra teeth in the area. I truly appreciate his professionalism. Thank you so much for making a stressful situation a piece of cake! I will 100% be suggesting this office to anyone who needs an oral surgeon.

My experience at Dr. Carey’s office was exceptional all the way around. Dr. Carey and the front and back staff were all very kind and personable as well as professional. I am a retired dental hygienist and, therefore, I took note of everything. I was very pleased with my experience with Dr. Carey. He took time to explain the procedure (upper molar extraction with a sinus lift and a bone graft, to prepare for an implant) and to make me feel comfortable about it all. I felt very confident in his ability to perform the surgery with excellence. I would highly recommend him for any procedures that requires an oral surgeon.

Dr. Carey took great care of my son during his wisdom teeth removal. His front staff was good at explaining the financial aspect and the back office did great with his instructions and taking care of him after his procedure. I really like Dr. Carey and his staff. I dont trust many with my children but I felt safe and confident in his care.

The front desk is extremely friendly, assistants were well informed and did a great job at making sure I was comfortable, and Dr. Carey is amazing! Dr. Carey removed my 17 year old daughter’s wisdom teeth 3 days ago. Everything went perfectly as planned. We met Dr. Carey for the initial consult and he was extremely personable and spoke directly to my daughter explaining everything to her and making sure her questions were answered. We came back for the surgery as scheduled and everything went perfect! She really had no pain, she followed his assistants detailed post op instructions and is doing fabulous! I highly recommend Dr. Carey and his staff! Beautiful, clean office too!

My daughter had needed her wisdom teeth removed our dentist highly recommended North Metro Oral & Maxillofacial surgery. We were not disappointed. Have had two procedures done recently....it was a great experience. Dr Carey is professional, gentle and kind. Had an appointment to have 2 teeth extracted, that have had chronic abscess issues. Only complaint I have is, that I wasnt made aware of an emergency appointment prior to mine, delaying my start. So I ended up sitting in the waiting room a half hour+ past my appointment time, not knowing what the delay was. A heads up would have been appreciated. Especially if I had had another appointment after the dental appointment.

I have always gone here for great service by Dr Carey! He has a wonderful chairside manner, very patient and understanding. His staff is awesome also!! 😀 Oral surgery is never fun but they made it very easy !

Very personable oral surgeon. Completed tooth extraction and implant in under an hour. Answered all my questions in language I could understand. So far no problems and very little pain. But they have outlined pain management plan and other areas of concern in nice pamphlet to take home. Dr. Carys staff and assistant first class.

Dr Carey has removed wisdom teeth for two of my children. Always a great caring experience even though he does not know these kids as he is not their regular Dentist he always makes them feel like he does and takes the time to make everyone comfortable. His staff is also great very professional. Just a great offIce atmosphere amongst the staff. The procedures have been quick, recovery easy, no real pain just the usual discomfort and back to normal within a few days.

I had both of my children (14) come in at the same time for wisdom teeth extractions. Dr. Careys staff was super prompt and very efficient. My children were a bit nervous they discussed everything with both kids to ease any anxiousness. My son came out with a smile and so did my daughter. Saw Dr. Carey as an emergency. I was worked in right away and surgery commenced as soon as the assessment indicated it was necessary. I cannot say enough good things about him & his practice. Excellent follow up (by Dr. Carey himself, not just any staff member). If you need oral surgery, this is the place to go! Surgery almost always sucks but this makes an awful experience tolerable.

Wow, What can I say Incredible Oral surgeon!! I had a tough tooth extraction ( not his worst) and implant done in the same day. Dr. Carey was able to answer my questions and put my concerns at ease. No matter how stupid you may think questions are, ASK HIM. Tell him what you maybe nervous or concerned about. tell him how you react honestly to certain drugs. Be open and honest with him so he can provide the top notch care that he is very capable of. He is a hilarious guy and will do what he can within his power to help you and put you at ease. If you do not understand something, he will draw it out or show you on a Xray, or a model. YouYoud be doing yourself a disservice if you dont use him. I have seen a lot of Oral surgeons in Atlanta unfortunately. But Id pay the premium if needed to use Dr. John Carey. He really is awesome and that is the truth. Thanks for the double dose of nova-cain Doc!

Quick, efficient, Knowledgable, patient with my fear of oral surgery and general baby-ness about dental procedures in general! Would recommend, will likely take son there for wisdom teeth removal.

First off, the consultation fee was higher compared to others but we were referred so we accepted it. Then the change in amount due for dental services. Intially they blamed it on the deductible then changed their mind and said it was the benefits. Then the inaccuracies and excuses. No apologies, just excuses. The doctor even blamed our orthodontist, who referred us to him, for using up all our benefits. I was told they have hundreds of patients and the appointment department is separate from the billing department so they couldnt follw up with us that our out of pocket increased by over $200. I was also told there are 5 office personnel to pay, so try bringing home a decent paycheck doing that. They are never took blame for dropping the ball just made excuses. We wound up having to use another dentist. Watch for the hidden fees with high doctors offices.Terrible experience.

My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed. The oral surgeon was wonderful. The follow up care was awful. My daughter complained of pain on a Friday, 2 days post surgery. Her lower stitches had come undone on one side and I could see her jaw bone. I called for an appt and was told very condescendingly she was fine, pain at this stage is normal, a fever is normal, etc. She was not given antibiotics ahead of time. Shes on a double doseof medication for hormone issues, which was not taken into consideration regarding her ability to heal well. She had to very assertively request the follow up appointment she did finally receive. This experience could not have been more frustrating.

My 12yr old couldnt have had a better doctor and caring staff than them. Thank you so much for taking such good care of her.

I had a bad fall which cause insomnia and an excruciating pain on my jaw where I could not even chew or barely open my mouth wide. When I was referred to Dr. Carey he was my last hope as no other doctor could diagnose my problem. Dr. Carey was kind and very patient with me knowing I was already traumatize from all I been through. He always able to diagnose the problem and literally within months I was back to my normal self and chewing well again. Thank you Dr. Carey you saved my life.
