This is hands down the best dentist you will ever have. Dentists are caring and take the time to talk to address anything without rushing. The staff is 5 star in customer service. Always smiling and courteous! This is truly the traditional style of customer caring where you feel valued.

Im sorry to say, we had a very disappointing experience today. After a few years of going to this office for cleanings, xrays, and other dental work with me and my 2 daughters, we had our 6-month appointments cancelled out from under us. We planned our summer vacations around these appointments because they are so had to get right now and we made them 6 months ago. We have never missed an appointment. I called to confirm them (over 24 hrs in advance) and was told that because we hadnt confirmed them soon enough, the office cancelled them and gave them to someone else. They said there were lots of people trying to get appointments and they needed to make sure they were filled. I really got the feel that this was a family practice vs. corporate dentistry. Just felt like a $$$ today.

I have been using this dentist office for almost 10 years and have always had the best experience here. When I moved to the canton area I started with them and never left, my husband even switched to here after 5 years somewhere else and says how wonderful and kind they are. Any issues I have had with my teeth or pain were addressed right away. I truly feel like I can count on them. They give you the small town feel and friendliness like knowing your name, that can sometimes be hard to find in a big city.

I have been a patient of Dr. Donastorg for several years, and I really appreciate her gentleness, thoroughness, and promptness. Everyone in the office is very polite and helpful. I highly recommend The Village Dentist and especially Dr. Vanessa Donastorg. While I have not had occasion to see Dr. Van Hook, I am told that he is a really good dentist too.

Excellent care and professionalism within this dental office. The office is in a converted old home, in the Cherry Hill village, that is simply beautiful, warm and comfortable. The dental rooms are very relaxing with multiple windows to the outside. I have been seen and had work done by both dentists (Van Hook and Donastorg) and both are excellent. They are kind, gentle, skilled and very efficient. The dental work is great. The office is always clean. The hygienist are awesome. The staff is very friendly. For a great dental experience, I strongly recommend this dentist office.

Dr. Donastorg and Sue are simply the best dental care team I could ever ask for. They take the time to get to know you and provide amazing service the whole way through. I have had everything from routine cleanings, to fillings, to a root canal here and all of it has been an pain free and actually an enjoyable (!!) experience. This is by far the best dentist that I have ever been to and I would recommend anyone who is looking for a new dentist to look here first and only.

Very inviting and comfortable, unlike what most people think of going to the dentist. I have been seeing this group for some time now. They are such a wonderful group. My wife and I found the village dentist when we moved to Canton Michigan. We have since moved to my home town of Manchester Michigan. Manchester is about 45 minutes to a one hour drive from Canton. We gladly make that drive to continue or care with the amazing staff and welcoming faces at the Vintage dentist. They are truly the best team and the always give unbelievable treatment to their patients. Love this place!

Dr. Van Hook and his staff are amazing. He has been my dentist for years now and I have complete confidence in him and his staff. Each time I walk into the office, I am greeted with professionalism and smiles. I recently had to have a root canal. Many people warned me that this would be a very uncomfortable ordeal so I had some fear going into this procedure. Right from the start, Sue was comforting, knowledgeable and warm as she prepared me for this procedure. Dr. Van Hook explained everything he was doing throughout in a very calm manner, which helped me relax. When my friends asked me how it was, I let them know it was really not a big deal, I know this is due to the wonderful treatment I received. Whether I’m going in for a routine cleaning or a more intense procedure, I know I will get the best results. I must acknowledge Shannon, she is meticulous in her work and so enjoyable.

When you plan to make a visit make sure you upfront ask them to confirm for any charges related to your treatment. They are not good at pre-informing you of the cost involved and just send you an invoice. I recently couple instances where I was charged for an x-ray which was not covered and later received an invoice for $129 to make a payment. I had to make the payment without given a choice to not negatively impact my credit. Another instance is when I recently had a tooth filling which now is causing trouble and they recommend that the filling be replaced and they wanted to charge me again for the filling that was not done right.

I had an emergency appointment and I had never been there before they we very friendly and got me in that day. It’s a very friendly and homey atmosphere from the time you walk in the door. Their nurse and the dentist are very detailed in explaining everything clearly definitely my new dentist.

What a wonderful place for your dental needs! You get a warm feeing from the atmosphere and staff when you walk in the door! The office is extremely professional. Dr. Van Hook is a genuine and kind person, who will go above and beyond the norm to give you the care you need. He takes the time to explain treatment recommendations and will make certain you understand because it is important to your overall health. They are following all CDC guidelines, for yours and their safety as well. Dr Vanessa is competent, compassionate and thorough. Both Doctors equal a wonderful practice of which I am happy to call “my dentist”

I was looking for a dentist after my dentist retired. I came across Dr. Vanhook and his staff though NextDoor. I have to say I am more than pleased with him and his staff. They are professional for sure but mainly they are like friends.. Dr. Vanhook works with you and knows how money can ebb and flow in families. He doesn’t push procedures but will nudge you when you need one. This is much appreciated by me. A great guy and outstanding staff as well. I am glad I found him.’

Dr. Van Hook is great. The hygienist is knowledgeable and friendly. All the staff are super nice and like to help. A bit pricey but worth it as the service is excellent.

The form for release of info stated my info would be shared with police and ICE. They also played Christian and nationalist themed country music the whole visit.The service was great and ppl were nice but I’m not coming back.

I couldnt afford their cost of a root canal ($1200--ridiculous!) so I had to have a tooth removed. The dentist screwed up and now I have a big hole in my mouth that leads to my sinus cavity... which requires surgery. Since I cant afford surgery, Im stuck with tons of sinus problems. Thanks!

I like the dentist from the start. My problem was the office staff. I was told I never had an appointment so i made other plans that day. When I tried to make another appointment, i was told i had to pay 50 dollars up front in order to see the dentist. The reason given is that i missed appointment that they never had me foe that day. I won`t go back now because of this. I refused to pay 50 dollars up front every time.

My entire family comes to this office, we love the atmosphere! My kids enjoy going to the Dentist!
