To the one who left the review about dumping there family members,,, I wouldn’t be surprised if your the ignorant one who was working there... must have been a texting or smoke break like better part of the nurses and aides do while the residents need taking care of.

An absolute disgrace to long-term care facilities. They did not follow proper procedure for reporting a resident missing, has several state citations. This facility should be held criminally responsible for his death, be ordered to pay his family and closed for good.

Its ridiculous for any nursing home to lose a resident and not even report it until several hours later. I hope the person who left the other review isnt a caregiver and probably is. These are the type of people that work in dumps like these and dont care about your loved one. Nursing homes are meant to take care of those that cant take care of themselves. Unfortunately you have some with poor attitudes who will never have a heart or a clue. They consider it a job only. Families need to demand better care and visit often so lazy ones do their job. Despicable.

A patient who was a KNOWN WANDERER was missing for TWO SHIFTS and DIED from cold weather after being found missing HOURS later!! This place is a Joke!! I hope his family takes this facility and everyone involved straight in to a hole! This is absolutely heartbreaking and disgusting and NEVER should have happened!!! If you love your family DO NOT send them here!!

Shame on you. How did you let a know patient wonder away and ultimately he died. You never reached out to the police or family until hours later. Shame on you.

Maybe if you people didnt dump your family members on other people they wouldnt go wandering off...ever try keeping track of 30 people who all have varying degrees of health issues/dementia...not to mention you cant restrain anyone so they have to have their full freedom...yeah...so maybe take some personal responsibilty for your family and take care of them yourselves but its so much easier to dump them on underpaid staff and forget about them right.

Julie GageLocal Guide · 3 reviewsa minute agoId give it 0 stars if I could. This place is horrible. My grandma regressed while in this place plus died suddenly 2.5 weeks ago & another family member suddenly died on 4/25/16 after only being there for two days. Both lost there pulses & heart stopped. Grandma had 3 UTIs while in there for 6 months. Was supposed to be there for physical rehab but ended up being stuck in a wheelchair chair all day. Family was in the process of looking into other options but then Grandma suddenly passes...this place isnt a hospice but yet go there & you die...my Grandma was found on April 5th, 2016 with no pulse at (STONE CROSSING LAMPLIGHT ON 34TH ST, CANTON, OHIO) for who knows how long she was last checked on. Paramedics brought her back but it was too late & she lost oxygen to her brain. Grandma was at Mercy hospital for 5 days on life support & with no brain activity. On April 10th, 2016, my Grandma passed. As of Thursday April 19th, 2018, there is a story in the Canton Repository about a man who wandered away from Stone Crossing & was found not alive two days later a couple of miles away. Stone Crossing needs shut down! How many other people have to go through this before it gets shut down, how many residents who suddenly died here are out there like my Grandma that we dont know about? PLEASE STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE! Updating the name to Glen wood care, DOESNT/HASNT/WONT change the facts & experience of Stone Crossing Lamplight aka Glenwood Care.
