This place claimed they took my insurance, but after my bill came for six sessions I owed $563. The therapist I was using also didn’t offer to talk about DBT until I prompted her that I needed better tools. It was the whole reason I went there. Now I’m out the money for zero help. Thanks for nothing.Update: they had someone in billing call me to talk about this review and made things worse honestly. Her response to me was to ask if I understood deductibles when literally no one went over prices for anything. No one told me a rough estimate for my sessions after insurance. I didn’t get my bill for two months. I then asked her if she knew that a lot of people seeking out therapy were in crisis mode and didn’t have the executive functioning to figure that out on their own and need it spelled out, and she proceeded to try to tell me that all kinds of people end up in therapy and downplayed DEPRESSION as a mild reason. It took me a couple days to even process this phone call, but clearly this person has never experienced mental illness and doesn’t have any sympathy for those who do. I will NEVER go back and NEVER recommend this place to anyone, ever.

This place is really not the best. I was seeing Chase Thomas for about 6 months. Tried I think 8 different meds without blood work that a couple were required for. I was diagnosed by him with Major Depressive disorder, Anxiety disorder and PTSD. I had asked to be tested for BPD and Bipolar which he refused twice, wrote off I do not have BPD and finally tested me for Bipolar which came up as negative. All medications that were prescribed made me more volatile, depressed and suicidal or too sedated to even do my job(which I can’t pay for mental health without). I switched providers because I wasn’t being heard and within 15 minutes of the new psychiatrist, I was diagnosed with BPD and a genesight test was ordered. If you want someone that’s going to listen to you when you say you may have something, this is not the place. Also I never got billed until I decided to stop seeing them. Luckily they had a payment plan which I’ll be paying for the next 4-5 months.

Great place, the people here care and want to help as much as they can. My only complaint would be that I wish there were more convenient times that DBT is offered so that people who work during regular hours can more easily schedule it. It would be nice to have some options starting at 5pm or later and/or have a weekend option that doesnt start in the early morning.

Going to DBT group therapy here was the greatest thing I could have ever done for myself. At the time my main goal was to go through DBT group therapy while seeing a therapist so that maybe by seeing how therapy had helped me, my family would get on board and seek help with me to deal with our family issues. That unfortunately didn’t happened. At least not at this clinic anyways. Things got better with my parents and then got way worse again causing me to have a pretty big set back with pretty much NO support. I wound up completely cutting ties with family members for a pretty extensive amount of time. However by doing that, focusing on my school work, passing another board exam, and going through what I learned in DBT group therapy books here for MYSELF this time, my life changed for the better 10 folds. I’ve seen reviews about how people have had negative encounters with a therapist here and I’m sorry that happened, but please don’t give up on this business due to that one person. Your letting yourself miss out on a very good DBT program here.

I would recommend this place to everyone. This place changed my life for the better. The nice thing about this place is everyone really cares about you. Every counselor has been extremely nice and very understanding. I was not in a good place in my life and they have taught me skills and given me tools to help me cope in the everyday world. If not for the exceptional counselors at Healing Connections I would not be here today.Nancy is great at medication management and even went so far as to do a genetic test to see what drugs would work best for my body.Ive always have had great response time when leaving messages or asking questions.Thank God for the good people who work there.

Ive been going here for a few years now. They used to be split between two buildings but they recently moved all into one. Its a beautiful place, the bathrooms are always clean, and every therapist in the building that Ive met is friendly and polite. I am in a group DBT therapy as well and I found it extremely helpful. The front-end staff are always helpful and kind. And theres always some mints in a bowl and a little coffee / tea / hot chocolate / water area.

Never have been so disrespected by a medical professional! Sarah Jacobs didn’t even bother to get correct information from my records, when an issue came up (as a new client....)she did not bother to inquire my past provider or pharmacy to get any correct information and blantantly disrespected me. Baffled by this woman.

Ive been going to Healing Connections for about six years now. Amy has been my therapist for about five years. Ive been through both the DBT group and life skills groups. Between Amy and the center as a whole theyve helped keep me alive through some of my toughest years. Ive grown to become the man Ive always wanted to be through their help and would recommend Healing Connections to anyone. It has many programs to offer and many choices of therapists that would fit anyones needs.

I did their DBT program which was very helpful and I loved it! But my Skills Therapist was horrible; she was condenscending, shaming, forgetful, callous and ultimately caused me to have to leave my job (maybe career).

Ive been going to HCTC for about 5 years. The best therapy i have ever received. You are able to do skills coaching outside of business hours (if you are having a mental health crisis at 3 AM, call them!). They have EMDR available, DBT and other groups, plus they dont just offer psychiatry, they are certified nurse practitioners -- they spend an entire 30 minutes with you. Nancy, my NP, offered to do a DNA test to see which medications would best be suitable for me -- it was covered through my insurance as well.As with any other therapy, no one promises anything. You will not be fixed by a magical wand. You have to be willing to put in the work. It is what you make it. But these people are incredible.
