Both myself and my daughter was very pleased with our hair. The shop was very clean and the ladies were very professional. I will be returning. You will not be disappointed. Would suggest bringing a pic if there is an specific style you seeking!

I purchased a Groupon to get my hair done. And the lady scheduled my appointment for 8am on Saturday and they don’t open until 9am. Been outside sense 7:49am. And they won’t allow a refund on Groupon..

This place was okay. I was looking for something quick and cheap. They accepted me as a walk in. They did about six cornrows. They provided the hair. I was there for about an hour and half. They only took cash which was an inconvenience. Overall, I cant complain I ended paying $90 for the style. I dont know if I would ever go there again.

It was my first time getting my hair braided. I am biracial and grew up never having anyone know how to work with my hair in my hometown in Washington state. She is amazing at doing hair. She is so good at braiding she can do that and tend the phones while making appointments, not to mention incredibly fast. Plus the atmosphere is cozy and stylish. A huge variety of items for sale so dont bother spending money else where for hair, hair products, skincare essentials etcetera. Any hair type, she has got you covered.

I never have to wait long to get my hair done when I walk in. The ladies work fast so I am not there all day because they are overbooked. I thought my hair was too short for a sew in with no leave out but the woman who did my hair was able to braid it anyway (miracle) and it did not hurt much. This is why I went specifically their because I knew they would be able to braid my hair. They do good work and will work with you on what style you are looking for

The best saloon​ I have been to( trust me I have been to a few country wide). The staff is very friendly. My daughters hair was very well done and they were very patient with her ( even though she is very good at sitting and getting her hair done). Cathy ( the lady who did my hair) was very nice. Cathy the owner is very friendly,nice and most importantly,very very professional.Everyone was chatting, and we were watching movies ( all positive vibes). Did I mention that the prices are very reasonable. I am so glad I never went by the negative reviews I read here. I am happy that I went it and witnessed for myself. Ive been coming here over the past year to get my dreads re-twisted. They always do a great job! All of the ladies here are nice and very good at doing hair. The shop is always clean. I never have to wait long. What more can you ask for? Get them a try and I bet youll become a loyal customer!

This place charges less than other shops because they have unlicensed people working there that have no idea what they are doing. Went in to get a simple re twist on my dreadlocks. Some lady there that never did my hair before unraveled some of my partially locked dreads and re twisted them the opposite direction. The end was result was terrible. Loose hair coming out of my dreads. Loose dreads. My hair looked great going into the shop and looked bad coming out. Pay a little bit more somewhere else and get your hair done correctly. The owner did offer to fix it but why waste another 2 hours of your precious time? Its supposed to be a professional business and should have been done correctly the first time. If you have people working in your shop that dont know what theyre doing dont have your customers waste their time with them. Never setting foot in that establishment again.

I was sent by a friend, her hair is always so nice and she told me Cathy would do a great job. Naturally I tried it out, Cathy is a sweetheart, she got my hair started and another lady finished it- I loved it and the price was awesome. However, months later I returned for a new do and I got some random lady that had my head full of bumps on the edges and the price was very high, there was no sign of Cathy and I was very disappointed in this experience. Im not sure if Cathy is aware but I left her a message and she hasnt returned my call.

First and foremost I want to say I wished I had came in years ago.I decided little while ago I wanted to grow my hair out.Stopped in Cathys today and these sisters are the most professional and friendliest women you will find in a shop.All these bad reviews about Cathys are absolutely rediculous.Cathy was very friendly just as well as the two sisters who were there with her.Please dont read the bad reviews and make a judgement.I urge you to go in and see how wonderful of a service they provide at Cathys.I have found a new home for my hair at Cathys.I will be back my sisters,thank you very much.

I have been to different places over the last 16 years shopping for someone who can braid the way I NEED them to braid MY hair. I have finally found my home for braids. I recently cut all my hair off and now I want to grow it back. They had no problem gripping my hair and braiding neat. All my braids and amount if hair put into the braids were even. I told them LEAVE MY EDGES OUT and she left my EDGES OUT. Hands down this is the best place for me. The only thing I would suggest is that they supply hair for all styles.

I got a simple hair styles braids going to the back with a bun I tried this place for the first time and as a result three days later. I had sores and bumps at the back of my hair and it took two weeks for it to clear up. Save your money please take my friendly advice and go else where.

Cathy is a sweetheart.Today 7-10-2019, my granddaughters are getting their hair braided. Cathy is great at what she does. They have wigs, purses some hair supplies and hair for braids (synthetic and human).

Omg where do I begin? Natural hair is about 2 inches (in the process of going natural ) the ladies are very great at theyre Art they are fast efficient and very very friendly atmosphere feels like family. Do not base your decision on the few negative comments these ladies are all about natural hair care and they care about your hair I dont know about everyone else I love that they love what they do. I went in early this morning. They were very professional. Im going back

I went for dread extensions and they looked nothing like what I wanted! They were extremely too tight and even hot water didnt loosen them up so I took them down because there was no way I could report to my military job with that style. I notified the owner immediately and she said she would re-do so I scheduled for another day and my leadership would not let me off so we rescheduled for a Monday well Cathy text me saying could I come Sunday but I told her I was working all weekend and there were soldiers that drill all weeekend so Monday would work for me as we discussed! I text her maybe around 8am saying I would be there. It they opened at 9 but I wanted to ensure I would get my hair redone. I showed up at 9 and she text back saying she couldnt make it and if she did do my hair over I would have to buy the hair......wait excuse me!! She never said that before and she had already been paid $180 for the first style that she said she could do but didnt, it was very bad!!! I even took my daughters for two strand twists just to support because she said she would redo my hair but lesson learned!! I ended up making another appointment the same day at another shop spending another$190 and of course Im pissed cause that was bad business practice!! However, the other shop was very nice and neat and wasnt a whole bunch going on and I liked my hair minus the fact that I decided to do box braids and she braided some to the scalp and I hate we get charged full amounts if they decide to braid your hair to the scalp!! Thats not cool at all!

I have been going there for 12 years she is the nicest professional lady and her staff is as well. They are great with kids I have taken all 4 of my children there for 12 years.i would recommend this shop to anyone .

They was not honest about the price I was told just to have my hair braided to the back would be 40 dollars but if they had to add a little extension it would cost 50 dollars but when it was time to pay after she started my hair I was charged 60 I cut the braids out a week later and went bald because they started to come out very disappointed 🤔😩

I got my hair done by Inno and she did a great job. I got a sew in with a closure piece and I am very satisfied with the results. Thanks alot.

This place is horrible. If I pay $300 for a style it better last more than a week. My braids were falling out everyday and they did nothing about it. Never go here if you want quality service

Went there to get my hair braided a few weeks ago. I got ombré lilac box braids (brought my own hair) done in about 4 hours, it was so quick! ! My braiders were Ide and Precious. It was my first time getting box braids here (I usually get Senegalese) and I was very pleased. They were so nice and did such a good job! My braids are so long and full(but not too full, I can still where head gear which I greatly appreciate!!) I wish I could post a picture here. Definitely recommend this shop to anyone in the area. :D

Sloppy quick work. I took my braids out and my hair is falling out in chunks. Told me one price over the phone and then tried to up the price.

!!DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR DONE HERE!!On Wednesday July 5th 2017 my girlfiend went to Cathy (the owner) to get Ghana braids in the morning, by the afternoon her edges starting to rip out in several places where the brades began (due to too braids being too tight). If you read the positive reviews most all of them say they are nice and professional. If you read the bad reviews most all of them say the stylests dont know what they are doing and they are not happy with their hair after it was done. So I have a question, do you want to be in a nice professional environment to get your hair done by people who will mess it up?? The people who gave bad reviews are no her competition and they are not lying. !!DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR DONE HERE!!

I got some ghana braids I do not know the ladys name that did my hair but I was not to happy with my hair but I really needed my hair done. My hair looks nothing like the picture I showed her and she did not grip my sides tight at all. I might try them one more time and have the owner do my hair, if she does not do a good job I will just start going back to A1 braid shop in Saint Paul. The staff here seemed friendly tho. And the owner seem to care about how her clients hair look bcuz she did make the lady that was doing my hair redo a braid bcuz it was not big enough.

Our customer service is good. if you have any concerns in future about any of Our job please come to see me directly in person or call me instead of going online saying stuffs about my shop that are not true , i Will appreciated . But I also noticed that some of the reviews are from my ennemies not My customers because things that they are saying never happened in Cathys African Hair Braiding, we always fixed our mistakes to the very last of our customers satisfactions. because We know that nobody is perfect and everybody makes mistakes but the Almighty God .Im a strong business prosperous woman . I think now is time for me to say something about this nonsense comments from my ennemies . We , peoples , never like to see when someone is trying to succeed,we always try to put the person down . If everything you guys are saying about my shop were true It will be closed long time ago . But it still alive and open because they are all false accusations, please in the name of god stop this false accusation . We are professionals braiders and well trained thats why we have been in this business for 26 years . otherwise there wont be Cathy s African hair braiding anymore . I have customers who have been loyal to me for more than 10 years, they can testify to this . We know our job , we love and respect our customers . Stay bless.

They only take your money,they wasted my money.They can do singles nice but sewing in weaves NO.They didn’t do it right and I had sores and bumps after two days,my sculp was itchy and i had to take it off after 4 days.
