I contacted Vermont Federal for assistance on one of my accounts. Lori, a Member Service Representative, assisted me with my concern. She spent time gathering all the information she needed to complete my request, explained all of the ins and outs of what I should expect with the process, and and answered all of the questions I had. Lori followed up with me at the end of the day to let me know the status of my concern, which she had completed by contacting multiple other departments.Lori isnt the first representative to provide excellent service. Justin, a loan specialist, assisted me with securing an auto loan a little while back. He continued to work diligently to finalize the loan despite special circumstances that arose with the dealership.As a call center Team Leader myself, Lori and Justins professionalism and dedication to customer service exceeds expectations. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rank each of these representatives as a 20! Thank you Lori, Justin, and Vermont Federal for the years of continued service!

I have lived in Florida for 6 years now, but will not give up my VTFCU account. Speaking with Lori today about a problem with my credit card reinforced why I stay. She was professional, understanding, knowledgeable and efficient. What more could I possibly ask?

Lori at VFCU was AWESOME! The phones were busy so we left a message for a call back. In a couple of hours, we had a call back from Lori. She was courteous, helpful and made us feel like we were her main concern, when it is clear these folks are dealing with A LOT of members right now. I hope everyone who calls in remembers that these folks are doing their very best to get to us quickly and working as hard as they can to accommodate our requests. Kindness works on both sides of the phone and Lori is an example of what we have come to love our Credit Union for. I’d give her 10 stars if it was an option!!

I have been a member of NEFCU for almost 20 years and they kept telling me they could not help me refinance my vehicle for the last couple of years. However, Justin Sawyer at VT Federal Credit Union was able to get me refinanced, while also helping move a credit balance onto a new card at 16% less than what I was paying on my other card. I would recommend this business to everyone. That is the type of help I needed especially in very trying times. Thank you Justin and VT Federal!!

Highly recommended! I needed to take out a car loan for the first time and was really nervous about it. It was really important to me to get as informed as possible about the entire process, so I decided to visit the main branch to talk to someone for more personal assistance. The branch manager was incredibly patient, answered all of my questions and helped me through everything, even requesting my plate with the DMV!!! They offered me the lowest interest rate of all the banks I considered too. Really great experience overall!

Lori in customer service went above and beyond to help me today. Even though it was 4:30pm, the end of her shift, she pleasantly hung in there until she solved the puzzle of closing out my car loan. Fantastic customer service! Thank you Lori!

I think I had the best conversation with a banker ever with Justin. Ive known him tangentially over the years. We has a good chance to chat about various things dealing with Vermont and Covid as we talked about my new business account. Justin was very helpful and great to work with. This is part of the reason Im switching to Vermont Federal!

Vermont Federal Credit Union has provided my family and I with great service. Beyond the staff being friendly, checking account interest is way better than what I had been receiving at the giant bank I had been using (go figure).Moreover, I encourage everyone to bank with a credit union over a major bank like TD, Wells Fargo, Citi, etc. You might be surprised to find that these institutions invest -- which is what they do with your money -- in endeavors you find immoral or otherwise unethical.

Never what they promise. Not once in the time we have been members have they ever been able to complete a transaction accurately or quickly. They never provide what they advertise and they never follow through. I love credit unions. I hate VTFCU.

I love supporting local businesses. But they have horrible ATM’s that mess up transaction and don’t take money half the time. I used to have BOA when I lived in NYC and never had these issues with not being able to deposit in any of their atm’s.

What a great personal checking account! This interest rate is better than any savings account I have ever seen.

EDIT: previously, I posted a 2-star review, but since then, the issue I had was taken care of, and VFCU reached out to me in response to the review, showing an excellent level of member care. As a result, I am changing the rating to 5 stars, and I recommend VFCU to anyone.(Only caveat: if you move out of state, reach out to the VFCU team early and often about serious transactions you need to make so that you dont get surprised about the need for flexibility.)

I never loved my bank before VFCU! I get great rates, helpful service, and a good feeling about how my money is being invested within my community.
