Dont really want to spend any more time on this place even for writing a review.I had 3pm haircut appointment and at 3:30pm she was still working on her previous customer. Once I realized I am gonna be late from a work phone call at 4:10 and told her I dont think there is enough time as I wasnt planning to wait for 30 minutes her response was You dont know how fast I can do my job. Well, yes i dont know and probably that is a good thing, I wouldnt wanted to wait 30 minutes and get rushed haircut and pay pretty high price for that, and while it might sounded very surprising for some people I am highly responsible and couldnt risk and be late from my work!To be fair she apologized at the end, but it didnt really change the bad experience I had and didnt return 30 minutes I lost waiting!

To be clear, I went to this salon 3 times, even brought my daughter to the salon back in June 2012. First two times were fine. But the owner Stacey was very unprofessional at the third time. It was the worst customer service experience I’ve ever came across. Especially coming from the owner. She cut my hair much shorter than I asked. Then asked me what do I think. I said “I like it, but a bit shorter than I expected” and that set her off who said to me in a very rude manner “Do you want me to sweep the floor and put hair back on to you?!?! WHAAAAT?!?! I was too shocked. I paid good amount of tip then never went back. It was unbelievable.

I love the salon experience here and I love how Stacey has colored and styled my hair for many years now. Im so impressed with how Stacey and all the stylists keep up with the latest color techniques and styles. I travel frequently and my hairstyle always is on trend and easy to maintain. I met Stacey through the salon and we became friends over time. The salon is also my favorite gift store, the jewelry, scarves, bags and other special items are gorgeous, practical, selected with care and ethically sourced. Getting one of their great coffees, infused waters or healthy snacks is a bonus! The minute you walk in, you can feel their warm, welcoming, professional approach.

I have been a client with Urban Salon for about 10 years now. Stacey and her staff are so amazing!! It is such a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the minute you walk in the door. There is always a lot of laughter as you are pampered with exceptional service. You can tell everyone enjoys their jobs and want you to feel relaxed and at home. On top of all that, you will look and feel amazing after your service. I get my hair highlighted and cut on a regular schedule with Stacey. She is superb at making me look my best by listening to my needs and offering suggestions as well. I trust her guidance completely. I know she does a great job because I get compliments nearly once a month on my hair!!! If you care about friendly, top notch service and want to looking your best, make an appointment with any of the stylists at Urban!!!

I’ve been going to Urban Salon now for about 14 years and no one knows my hair better! I can honestly say I’ve tried going to other places to see what else is out there, but I always go back! Stacey is amazing with my hair and I love giving her name when I get the compliments! The salon is such a fun and inviting place to be. Sunny and Cookie help me feel at home and the boutique of many accessories is an added bonus!

The hardest part of moving is finding a new stylist, right? I am so happy to say that it happened on my first try. I reached out to my network and 9/10 responses said Urban Salon. As much as I wanted to like this place, I personally had a really bad experience. The staff was rude and after waiting for a long time, I did not get an apology. I had to leave as the attitude and also lack of professionalism made me feel really uncomfortable. I have no regrets as I was able to find a much better place round the corner.

If you’re a “wiser” woman who thrives on an updated look with the right balance of youth and class, you MUST make the time to hit this salon. Katie’s complex color, a sassy but classy cut, and Brandi’s famous blow our. Couldn’t put my one and only head of hair in better hands with team. Do yourself a favor.

I have had the honor of having Stacy style my hair for over 20 years. I started with her when she was just renting a chair and followed to her own beautiful salon and everywhere in between. Every aspect of working with this team will make you feel welcome, respected and a bit spoiled. They truly listen to your needs and also hold high empathy knowing how important hair is not only to how we look but it impacts how we can feel about ourselves. Thanks for this team for all you do!

My first experience was great. I was trying a new place mostly because of scheduling conflicts. My second wasnt as great. I didnt really get what I wanted and had a really hard time connecting with the woman helping me (different than the first one). The experience of going there is great. I think Katie was my first person and she was professional, personable. They have cool things like coffee and mimosas. Love those kind of things. First person gave me what I asked for, second didnt. I was too uncomfortable by our lack of connection to say anything. They otherwise have a very professional establishment and staff.

Great atmosphere, friendly hairdressers and helpful admin people. Ive been going on and off for years, have seen many different hairdressers and have gotten exactly what I asked for each and every time. (I always bring a sample picture or two, which I would recommend no matter where you go.)

Stacey, Katie, and their team, are incredible. I always leave feeling like I have been in the best care with the best hair! They put a smile on my face, help me pick out incredible products, and Ive never been so satisfied (so happy!) with the cut and color that Ive gotten. Even when I lived in NYC, I came back to VT to see Stacey and Katie. The best salon in VT.

As a relative newcomer to Burlington, I was very happy to find Urban Salon! Cutting edge stylists and great vibes. Love the expanded boutique. Perfect place to pick up an accessory or find a well-chosen gift.

Stacey has cut my crazy hair for more than twenty years. She’s a color genius and a hair magician. I used to drive three hours for an appointment, but moved back to Vermont to be closer to her. Plus friends and family. But mostly Stacey.

We arrived at this salon after going around the block several times, and we couldnt be happier to have found this gem. The beautiful setting, the delicious nibbles, the warm treatment of the owner and staff and the gorgeous haircut my wife received made our wedding day - which was the reason we were looking for a hair salon urgently at 9am on a Tuesday - a memorable, magical day. Wed be happy to come back any day!

Horrible customer service and client experience. Distasteful treatment to customers, poor communication and understanding of policies (receptionists have limited knowledge of the client base and have to call bad to ask the same questions when an appointment is booked). Much better salon options in the area and would recommend not wasting time or money with Urban Salon.

I have been going to Urban for years. I always look forward to my appointments because I feel pampered while I am there and always feel beautiful when I leave. I wouldnt trust my hair to anyone else. I also love the make up line they carry.

I LOVE this place. From the moment you walk in, until the moment you leave - you feel like a million bucks. The team is so kind, sweet and attentive. The salon is gorgeous. Every time I am there, I feel so zen and relaxed and dont want to leave. Katrina (aka Katie) has been doing my hair for awhile now and I wouldnt trust anyone else with it! She is so awesome and gives you honest feedback about what is possible and what will work with your hair. Whenever I leave an appointment with her I feel extremely happy with my hair. You can tell that everyone on the staff has the utmost knowledge about what theyre doing. They are so well trained and informed about new and safe ways to treat your hair. I would highly recommend The Urban Salon Team to erybody!

I had an excellent experience getting my first Deva Cut. I went in with a very long mess of chunk curls and came out much lighter and happier with a cut by Katie that is cohesive and behaves as it should. I asked for very little length off and she did just that which is a miracle for a curly girl. The man at the front desk was so sweet and when you are a first time customer you get a gift bag with samples! The atmosphere was very nice- music was not loud and hair washing was actually comfortable!

Today received a average haircut! When I went to pay was hit with a $25 covic charge! In addition to the haircut charge!! Over $70 for a men’s haircut isINSANETCH

Stacy did an amazing job on my highlight. I was hesitant to do all she suggested to get to where I wanted to be with the color of m hair. Stacy was very patient in explaining the difference I would see. The results were beyond my expectations. A true artist with color. Thank you Stacy

I second Leenah Dawood. I was in the same boat myself. It took me almost a year to get back into doing hair. This woman traumatized me fresh out of school to the point where I thought I never wanted to do hair again. Some of her own clients who have seen me since I’ve worked there have even said similar things. I’m lucky to be at the salon I am right now, and I hope a huge light shines on the mental abuse that goes on when employed at the Urban Salon.

Always a great experience at Urban. I appreciate their amazing salon, friendly staff and I always leave loving my hair.
