I was apprehensive going here by myself for the first time. Delaney made me feel welcome and was so nice. She offered me options and was understanding of my needs. I will definitely go back.

My husband and I went for a couple’s massage for his birthday. I have a normal spa I go to but thought we would try this one out since we were in town. It was not a relaxing experience at all. The people at the desk aren’t super welcoming. We were directed to the locker rooms to change with no offer to show either of us where anything is. No one offers refreshments, etc. The locker room doesn’t have anywhere private (that I could find) other than bathroom stalls and showers to undress. There is no waiting area in the lockers other than a few chairs 2 feet apart and a hard bench. This is where you are told to wait until someone comes to get you. I was given a transparent, scratchy robe and a pair of dirty slip-ons to wear. The women doing our massages didn’t really speak to us other than to get on the tables.The one I had kept sighing heavily and snatching the sheet and leg bolster out from underneath of me as fast as she could. I moved my leg from the bolster and she grabbed it and slammed it back on to the pillow. When she had me roll over, she grabbed the sheet and yanked on it yet again and almost exposed me to the room. She also sat for part of it which was interesting. When they were done, they said nothing other than to get up and go to the lockers to change. 170 bucks later, I have buyer’s remorse and wish I could have that hour of my life back to go elsewhere. We won’t be going back.

I am so impressed with this place. Not only is it incredibly designed with the most feminine touches that make me feel somehow lighter a d supported in my energy, but the results are so fantastic that I put it on my calendar every month and I don’t miss an appointment. I have done the VI Peel, the laser facial, the vampire facial and the IV hydration. She did a wonderful lip augmentation with the absolute latest procedure. The last three visits I added the lash lift and tint, and eyebrows wo tj Kelsey. I’m hooked!What Delaney has done in manifesting her vision of restoration, is bring hope. You don’t have to be J-Lo for that Hollywood help. Right here in Burlington, Iowa we have our own Medical Spa. I LOVE my results!

I made a appointment for Sunday to have the February special done. Sunday came and I drove all the way to Burlington and they said that I was on the schedule for Saturday. I explained that the receptionist told me Sunday because they were all booked Saturday. They said they had nothing open Sunday and that we could each pay 30$ to use the hot tub, steamer, etc. We said no. I then contacted the owner and explained what happened. She asked if I got a confirmation text or email I said nope. I also read on there information that you should call ahead for canceling so I was wondering why I didn’t get a call on Saturday asking where I was at? The owner said she could still honor the February special and discount any other service for me. However, I will not be going back. My friend that lives hours away came to visit and this was apart of our weekend. Disappointing.

Called day before to schedule and they had no issues getting me in! The salon is beautiful and clean. All of the staff were so friendly. It was my first massage, I chose the 50 min, and Sarah was wonderful! She explained everything to me prior to starting and had the perfect pressure, really working on specific areas of my back that had knots. Price was reasonable for the area. I will definitely go back!

New owners have added med spa services in a clean, comfortable, professional environment. Sooooo different from previous management. Also different- no complimentary cocktail since it is a licensed medical spa but I’ll trade a cheap glass of wine for quality care anytime

The owner, Delaney, gave me a great facial/microdermabrasion treatment. She did a great job, was professional, yet personal.Then, I went to their private pool and that was very relaxing. The renovations were so needed and it is very classy and inviting! Its a great place to social distance and enjoy yourself! I highly recommend this!

The facility was very clean and beautiful, the front desk and cosmetologist offered refreshments while I waited for my pedicure and made me feel very welcome! I would recommend Jerry for pedicures, she was professional as well as kind and accommodating! I will definitely go back!

I would like to thank Diane for going out of her way with helping me give a family member a gift certificate for her 60th Birthday!! She went above and beyond on helping me give her the best birthday present. When someone shows they really want to help a stranger and a job is not just a job but a profession I give a 5 star!!

First time of going here and will be the last. Didnt get our massages, didnt even have us on the schedule that I scheduled a month in advanced.

Love it. The room was amazing. The staff were amazing. And the food and the atmosphere was amazing. The only thing is you must be 21 or older to stay at the hotel and casino catfish bend.

Hanging in the hot tub. Four hours later got refused a 4th drink because help wanted to leave work early. Not impressed. Massages Great but service horrible. Wont go back.

Diane gave an awesome massage. The spa was what I needed to relax and drink some wine.

Pedicure: The person who did my pedicure was wonderful -- best massage ever!. However, no nail dryer so I was there 30 minutes more than I planned. And coverage of polish isnt so great -- I will stick with Riverside.

Services amazing

Wonderful place! If I could give it 6 stars I would! Tammy is such a sweet, wonderful, helpful person to see when you walk thru the door. Diane is my massage therapist of choice (but they are all great) and she is amazing! They have a great assortment of Aveda and other products and run great specials on a regular basis. I am so thankful to have a place like this so close to home. It is also clean and very easy-going and relaxing there, even on the weekends. They are very accommodating and will make sure you are comfortable and treated like a queen. The facials are great also! I have received all their services and they are all fantastic. My only suggestion would be to book early. I do wish they could accommodate more facials and haircuts/colors on Sundays!

The upgrades that have been made over the last year are noticeable. The quality of staff, furnishings, and amenities have clearly been taken to the next level. You can swim, sunbathe, get a facial, masage, manicure, steam, etc etc. Set adide several hours to relax and enjoy this sanctuary of solitude. Complementary beverages can be enjoyed throughout your visit, and the pool area including the sauna, steam room, and hot tub are available even after your service is complete. If you get hungry, there is at least two on site restaurants that you can order from, and then enjoy your food while relaxing by the waterfall at the small but serene pool area. This would be a great idea for a bachelorette/ bachelor party, or a date with your spouse. Thank you Catfish Bend for bringing a high quality spa experience to SE Iowa!!!

PLEASE HEED THIS WARNING!My friend and I planned a girlfriend spa getaway at Catfish Bend Inn and Spa and were sorely disappointed at our decision to choose Catfish Bend as our destination.First, let me say that Lisa, the front desk clerk of the hotel is amazing, her customer service is on point, and she was willing to go above and beyond and made our stay feel very welcomed.The cleanliness of the spa could have been better, there was dust on the furniture, nails and hair on the floor, now don’t get me wrong, I realize it’s a spa, and there is going to be nails and hair, but ew, I’m talking about in the corners, under the furniture, etc, where NO ONE cleaned. I mean hire a cleaning crew at night, don’t count on your employees to be good cleaners.Unfortunately, the spa services we booked were a total let down. We booked 2 facials, 2 massages, 2 manicures and pedicures, and a cut and color. Our first day was a facial, which was great, but the manicure and pedicure I received were simply awful. There was no nipping of the old skin, the filing of my nails was done over the skin, Will, my technician, did not put the file between the nail and the skin, so my nails, both fingers and toes were all crooked. The rough skin on my feet was never buffed away, and it was clear he was not even comfortable using the nail clipper to cut my toe nails. Now, I realize Iowa has laws against razors and ‘cheese graters’ on the feet, but there is no reason I should still have hard calluses after a $65 spa pedicure. The polish color was all over the skin, or not even to the end of my nail bed. For my manicure I asked for a buff, you know where they just make the nail shiny by using a four sided buffer, nope, no difference, and all he did was rub cuticle cream on my nail beds because the nails were already as short as they could be. The skin and hang nails were no different than before my manicure, so why did I pay $35?I asked Will to rebuff my nails as I washed the cuticle cream off but he had already closed down his station, said to just come back tomorrow since we had other spa services booked. Once we exited the spa I asked my friend to look at my toes, and dead skin, we were confused how this was even a pedicure. However, to avoid making Will feel uncomfortable we went to our room and called to speak to the spa manager. Marlena asked my friend and I to meet her in the lobby where she proceeded to tell me that Will is not very good with nails and this was not their first compliant, and she would refund my money?!!??! Are you serious; why on earth is Will doing nails if he can’t do nails? I am paying $90 to have my toes look like my 3 year old niece did them, just to have to go someplace by my house so my feet look presentable (please see attached picture of POST PEDICURE, don’t judge).That night we decided it was best to stay in our room and avoid contact with any more staff. We ordered room service at 930 and were told it would be about 50 minutes for delivery. At 11, I call down to the restaurant again and was told that they mixed up the room numbers and didn’t know who actually ordered the food; it had just been sitting there for an 90 minutes. The kitchen was closed by this time, so we were offered pizza or a refund. At this point, we realize we’ve been black listed and couldn’t wait to get out of the hotel the next morning. Our 2 night girlfriend weekend was a total disappointment, please read other reviews, this place is a nightmare.PS: The 24 hour hot tub was closed for maintenance, we were looking forward to that, no call or notice before hand either.CAUTION: This spa charges an 18% gratuity to your services, check your bill. We paid our technicians cash and were billed the 18%, what an amazing tip for shotty services.
