Absolutely floored by at the complete lack of respect for a long term patient that I experienced today! The rude and arrogant attitudes of this doctor and his staff are unbelievable. We have been going to this doctor for approximately 5 years. As a professional myself, I could not imagine treating one of my clients with such disrespect. I dont know how this office stays in business. By the reviews I am not the only one that has had a similar experience. The front desk person has a horrible attitude. She is rude and has absolutely zero customer service skills. This has always been the case, but has been tolerable because the doctor is knowledgeable. Unfortunately today I learned that it is condoned by the doctor himself. We arrived to our appointment on time with no other patient in the office or car in the parking lot. I was not allowed to go back with my 15 year old son, like I have been in the past. When I requested to go back with him I was told NO. When asked why I was told not today and given no reason by the office personal. I stated that if I need to find another doctor then I will due to her rudeness. She stated that she would go get the doctor. On her way to get him she noticed my 8 year old had brought in a securely closed water container. She demanded that remove the container completely out of the office while she go get the doctor. I explained that it was closed and that she was 8 and she was not drinking it. We would keep it unopened. There were no posted signs any where in the office or on the door entering the facility. As I was walking out the door to take the water to my car, the doctor comes out with my son. I tell him how rude his staff is being and that we have been coming there for years and I am confused. I asked why I can not come with my son to the exam like in years past and that he was minor. I was fully expecting the reason to be Covid related. The doctor told me due to age and time he wasnt allowing it today. I stated that he was 15 and not an adult. The doctor told me that legally he could refuse to allow me back in the exam and that I was not complying with his rules. He then stated that my son was supposed to be in his chair at 2:20 and he did not sit down until 2:27. We were considered 7 mins late at that point. Our appointment was at 2:20. I was not notified that my child was supposed to be in his chair at 2:20 or I would be refused access to his exam as punishment. I told the doctor at this time I would just find another doctor. Not phased by the loss of a long time patient he states for me to go ahead and to have fun. Clearly by the completely empty office and parking lot this doctor has enough patients and does not need our business. I highly recommend that if you are looking for an eye doctor you find some where else. I have never been treated so poorly by any business or medical office. We drove to Seabert Eye Care in Burleson and explained our horrible experience and got an appointment the next day. He isn’t the only eye doctor in town, but he is the most arrogant!

Always a pleasure. I have been seeing this doctor for 20 years and he has been amazing every single time. A few years ago I had some eye issues that had me truly worried and he put me at ease. Im never rushed out of the chair if I have questions or concerns. Ive had other eye doctors and never had the care that I get here.

I just left the office and it is unfortunate that I am giving them a 1 star because I actually like the doctor, but how some of the staff treats people is not okay. We arrived on time for my son’s appointment with a 2 year old and baby in tow. The little ones started getting restless so I pull out a clean snack. I was asked to put the snack away and did without an argument. Later during the appointment my baby started screaming crying because it was time for her to have a bottle. Whenever I went to make it I was approached and told very sternly “we are NOT allowed to have food or drinks in our office.”She is a baby and doesn’t understand waiting to eat. I understand food and drink rules, but babies don’t understand that you have to wait 30 more minutes to eat. The entire office had to listen to her cry for the rest of our appointment.Whenever I spoke with the office manager I was told rules are rules and she can’t change them, but it has never been an issue before. I have a hard time believing it has never been an issue since he has been a doctor for 15 years in Texas.

I am very unhappy , with a recent visit .My wife had came to see about glasses. We had started using this company and were very happy with them. My wife was asked to come 10 minutes early to the location. She is always on time , but today they were doing road construction and she was unable to come 10 minutes early. She did make it right on time , though . She explained to the customer service what had happened and they refused to see her .She was furious , because there was only one other person waiting there . She told them , she was sad because now she was going to have to find a new doctor to go to due to their attitude .They didn’t care , and let her walk away as a customer that was happy with them , but now will never use them again and will be telling others how she was treated !So , don’t waste your time or your money here !Their loss !!!!

I would not recommend this place to anyone! The communication here is so poor. I scheduled a new patient appointment and could not make it due to work related issues (I work for a cancer center). I called them a couple of hours in advance and Cynthia informed me she would talk to the doctor in regard to me rescheduling and would call me back well she never called me back. I called to check on the status and she informed me the doctor would not see me at all. The only reason I found out is because I reached out to the office. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They are not considerate even when others are!

There clearly lacks basic communication of the doctor’s expectations of patients at this office. When initially scheduling my appointment I was told it would be at 9:20am, “Ten minutes before the doctor will see me, so I can fill out forms.” I was then called the day before and reminded to arrive ten minutes early. Day of, I arrived what I thought was seven minutes early and was told the doctor would not see me because I was not seated in the chair ten minutes early. They reset me for a month later. (I left and called Master Eye Assoc. in Burleson, explained this was my only day off, and they will see me this afternoon.)

I went here today for the first time. It was one of the best eye doctor experiences I have had in a long time. The doctor saw me timely. In the eyeglasses the girl helped me find a frame that looked good and ordered the color I liked.

AVOID. As I was told I would have to reschedule for not being “10 minutes early” I noticed another patient walk in and announce his appointment time. He was not 10 minutes early but was still seen. If your office is going to implement a policy like this be sure you are consistently enforcing it with all of your patients...Additionally, the ladies who work the reception desk lack basic customer service skills.Plenty of better options in the area.

My six-year-old son had an exam at this clinic this morning, during which time I was not permitted to go into the exam room with him and his mother, apparently due to COVID restrictions. Ok, fine. Inside the exam room, my wife asked the doctor if she could call me on the phone and allow me to hear the conversation regarding my sons exam since I couldnt go in with them. That request was denied due to HIPAA law. Again, irritating, but fine. That was the end of it and absolutely ZERO fuss was made of it. So I sat in the waiting room, playing on my phone, listening to a YouTube video quietly so as not to be a distraction, waiting for them to come back out to the lobby. When they were done I got a summary of the exam from the doctor, we took care of the paperwork with the office clerks, made arrangements for a new prescription, and everything was fine and uneventful. Hours later, we get a call that we will no longer be seen by this office and that all future services will be denied. For what?!? we asked. Apparently it was later reported to the doctor by one of his staff that I was listening in on the conversation in the exam room supposedly through a discreet phone call from my wife during the exam. ABSOLUTELY AND UNEQUIVOCALLY FALSE! No such phone call was made between us. No such call was attempted or even thought of. I did not and could not listen to any of the conversation, and no attempt was made to do so. So what led to this accusation and swift judgment? Apparently, me quietly listening to a video on my phone while sitting in the waiting room was the only evidence needed to jump to a false conclusion, make the accusation to the doctor (not to me mind you!), and then have the doctors secretary call to say that we will be refused service for violating HIPAA law. What an outrage! Could I not be asked to put my phone away if some violation was suspected? Or if they only later suspected a violation, could they not have asked me or my wife first if I was on such a call from the exam room? How petty of the doctor and his staff to flatly deny service based on an accusation! How unjust to presume guilt over innocence! How embarrassing for Burleson Eye Care! Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere!

It seemed like the doctor did not want to fully connect with us.At the beginning of the appointment, the doctor said he would not allow me to be in the room with my seven year old for the pretest. (I found it odd to take a child away from a parent in a new location.). They did allow me in the room for the exam. The doctor told my son where to sit when he (the doctor) entered, and he redirected me where to sit as well after I carried over my 4yo to look at something. I found it odd that the doctor redirected me so suddenly when I was safe and my son was safe also.Later in the appointment, I started to tell the doctor some incomplete information (because I had forgotten some of the details). He contradicted me even though he had not heard the information. I felt as if my opinion didn’t matter. Also, the doctor did not ask anything about my son’s interests. He told us a lot of things, including his own interests, but he never asked about us.Ultimately, I trust the doctor’s medical expertise, but it seemed like he didn’t want to fully connect with us.

I showed up to my appointment a couple of minutes early..vs “10 minutes early” for the pretesting. I was pretty livid after cancelling a work meeting and making several other arrangements to make the appointment. If you want people there 10 minutes early...schedule appointments 10 minutes earlier! Don’t say “your appointment is at 3:20 and try to be 10 minutes early for paperwork.” Say “your appointment is at 3:10.”I kid you not.......I was turned away for not being early enough. Ridiculous. I get that you have to keep a schedule. But others have a schedule/other responsibilities too. TERRIBLE customer service. I will be taking my business elsewhere and based on my experience and the somewhat OK experience my husband had there, (the same lady with glasses helped us, but their office had no frames we liked. If you are looking for an eye doctor, I strongly encourage you to keep looking. Me and my wife recently moved to the area and had to go through the struggle of finding a new eye doctor. I say struggle because nowadays it seems like all health institutions care about is taking your money even if it means selling you things you dont need. And that was immediately what I felt when I went into this place. They offered unnecessary test, which me and my wife turned down and told them we only wanted what our insurance would cover. My wife told them shes had contacts for over 4 years and even what kind and brand she wanted, making the doctors job very easy.So here is why Im giving them one star; when we got home after our visit, my wife realized she only got half the amount of contacts she usually gets from her yearly allowance that our insurance offers, so she called the place and they said thats all she could have after the $60 Contact fitting session they were taking out of the allowance!! First of all, that is outrageously expensive! My other place spent at least 35 minutes with me making sure I could put them on when I first got mine and only charged $15. Second, they are only supposed to do that session the first time you get contacts or maybe if you change brands, but my wife told them exactly what she needed! And last but definitely what pissed me off the most, they were taking $60 of our hard earned money for something THEY DIDNT EVEN DO!!! All they did was the yearly eye exam with her and that was all. After useless calls to try and fix this, my wife ended up going there and she was told they would call her with a solution the following week, and guess what, they never did. So she called again and they said they had ordered more contacts for her already but my wife felt they were rude every step of the way. I definitely recommend you look for a better place. It seems like since we didnt want to purchase their overpriced tests, they were looking for a way to squeeze the money out of us.

Dr. Steven Bresnehan just wants to fit people for glasses without getting to the root cause of their vision problems. At 31 years of age, I had never had any trouble with my vision until I suffered a concussion in a car accident. Seven months later, I was still having issues which were similar to aura symptoms from a migraine but not as severe. These symptoms had been causing considerable annoyance and hindering my daily life, so I decided it would be smart to see an optometrist. I explained my symptoms quite precisely, that I was not having any issues with blurriness or an inability to read and that all of my issues had started almost immediately upon suffering a concussion. He was absolutely determined to fit me for reading glasses though, so $286 dollars later, I thought I had a solution to my problem. However, my symptoms actually got worse, so I decided to see a neuro-opthalmologist since I strongly suspected that mild farsightedness was not the cause of my symptoms (as Dr. Bresnehan had insisted). The neuro-opthalmologist, who by the way, graduated from Stanford University, told me that my symptoms were very likely to be caused by the concussion, that he had had patients before with similar symptoms that went away on their own after two to three years, and that I did NOT need reading glasses. Months later and my symptoms have improved without the glasses Dr. Bresnehan was so insistent on selling me. Now I have $286 worth of fancy, worthless eyeglasses.
