I had a very bad toothache from one of my front teeth. I had visited a few dentists to help me...but they were not customer-focused and I felt very uncomfortable getting the urgent assistance needed. I prayed to God...asking Him to identify the Dental office that would meet my immediate and future needs.The next day, I mentioned my dental problem to my colleague...who used to live in the Burke area, and he referred me to Sunshine Dentists..whom he said was the best dental provider he ever had. I contacted Sunshine Dentists, and they brought me in right away. The customer service was awesome over the phone and very transparent upon visiting the office..even during inprocessing.Dr. Donohue and her assistant took time to understand the problem, and they promptly addressed my awful pain...and provided me alternatives that coincided with the plan of treatment I had already preferred. What I was in awe of the most...was the interpersonal touch from everyone...it really put my mind at ease and I felt welcomed as more than a customer...I felt sincerity and care! I mean where do I begin. I am a college kid away from my family and nervous about dentists and this place was amazing. The whole office is filled with amazing and kind women who made me feel so safe and welcome. Then the Dr. came in, she was personable while also being professional. She settled all of my nerves and fixed the mouth pain I was having and I couldn’t stop smiling and laughing. I would have never imagined being that comfortable at the dentist.

Dr. Donahue and several of the others I have had the pleasure of dealing with have been fantastic and wonderful. They made me feel comfortable and tried to make every accommodation imaginable to make me feel comfortable. They are some of the most compassionate and caring people Ive ever met! Its wonderful that theyve chosen this profession so they can help so many people.However, I did have the misfortune of dealing with a woman named Angelica on more than one occasion, and she is curt and, quite frankly, condescending each time I dealt with her. Thats the last type of treatment that I need from someone in healthcare and its a shame because I would much rather give Dr. Donahue a full five stars. She more than deserves a perfect score. But Angelica deserves two, only it breaks my heart to give anything less than 5 stars to Sunshine Dentists so I decided to settle on a four star rating.

Comfortable environment and great communication with anxious patients!I have spent years finding new dentist after new dentist because most dental offices have trouble accommodating my anxiety and accompanying mental illnesses. I must admit I do know Dr Donohue in a more personal setting so their was already an air of comfort knowing she is an honest and kind person in general. Still, even if I had never met her before my appointment Wednesday I would have been very pleased with how she handled my anxiety and the extra complications with my mouth discomfort arising from other mental health issues. Even before she saw me I could hear her speaking with another patient who sounded very pleased to have found her office! I was given honest straight forward information and felt as though my personal challenges with my dental care were respected.I’ve been told many times to “just deal with the feeling” instead of how Dr Donohue explained there wasn’t much that could be done at the time to change the sensation and chatted with me about why that was the case so I understood. This left me feeling comforted that even though she couldn’t help in the moment it was only because there was no way to help immediately, not because she didn’t care enough to help. Major improvement compared to the other dentists I’ve seen!!If you have anxiety and would benefit from a calm voice giving you trustworthy information while at the dentist I highly recommend Dr Donohue and all of the Sunshine staff :)

Had a crown for a back tooth that chipped. Used 3D imaging to provide a template for the crown to fit to the tooth. Perfect fit except the tooth had moved leaving too large a gap that would collect food. Sent back to resize and a final perfect fit. Great job on this and my other crowns and other dental work.

Every dentist should know how to perform the job (which Dr. Donohue does exceptionally well), but how it’s performed, is possibly more important. Dr. Donohue has a great “bedside” manner, which, in her case, is more accurately a dental chair-side manner! She is sincere, and genuinely cares about her patients. That’s, at least, how I feel after my dental exam.

Dr. Donahue and her office staff are super. My normal dentist was out of town and his office had Dr. Donahue as backup. I had severe pain from an infected tooth and she saw me right away. So gentle and knowledgeable, she drained the infection and provided me with good advice and prescriptions to help me get better quickly. Awesome dentist and staff.

Sunshine Dentists is super-awesome! Even though going to the dentist isnt the number one thing to do during the day, the folks at Sunshine Dentists make it a very enjoyable experience. This is a pleasant, nicely appointed office with a friendly and personable staff. Wait time is minimal. The hygienist is skillful and a good communicator. Dr. Donahue has excellent skills and knows when to refer a patient to a specialist.

My father went as an emergency because he broke his front tooth. The front office was able to get him in very quickly and the office staff were all very nice. Dr. Donnahue was very nice and had a wonderful personality. My father stated that his experience was very pleasant and most importantly non painful. Once again I have broken a front tooth. No, I do not play Ice Hockey, nor am I a victim of domestic violence. Just unlucky, I guess. And once again I received an appointment the first thing the next working day, which was Monday since the office is closed on Friday and I did this on Thursday night. Dr. Donahue advised that I could have called her cell phone and she would have seen me over the week-end! THAT is dedicated service! I survived the weekend and on Monday morning at 7 AM she sculpted me a new tooth so that I could once again smile at the world ;-)From the front office staff, to the hygienists, to Dr. Donahue, there is a warm and welcoming attitude and an atmosphere of compassion - even for people who do dumb things like breaking front teeth while reading in bed!! The office was running a bit behind, but the technician was excellent. I had a sore spot on my gums that I was worried about, but she managed to complete the cleaning without hurting it at all!Dentist is very good, but quite expensive and tricky hours if you work 8-4:30.
