I came to Buford Smile Dental Care for a teeth whitening treatment. Dr. Pyon, a licensed dentist, has chemically burned my gums and lip. He did not take the necessary protective measures until it was too late which resulted in my burned gums and lips while leaving me in the care of a poorly trained dental assistant.I have never had this treatment done by a dentist, and I was never informed by Dr. Pyon about the risks and discomforts associated with this treatment prior to starting. As patients, we rely on doctors to advocate for our health. However, this was an incredibly terrible judgment call to not inform, continue painful treatment on an elective, cosmetic procedure, and to not take the necessary protective measures to prevent these complications.Him and his team tried to assure me that the burns that had been inflicted were normal. The ramifications I have suffered are far from what anyone would have experienced from a “normal” and professional treatment. My gums and lips are raw and burnt, and I am in terrible pain. My lips have swelled twice in size. I have barely eaten, let alone drink enough water, for the past couple of days. As a result, I have lost 5 pounds. In addition, I have suffered incredible psychological trauma from helplessly being chemically burned for almost an hour straight.I called asking for a refund, but he answered that he needs to evaluate me before refunding me the money. He did not try to convince me that this was normal as he had tried to the day of the treatment because he now knows the harm in his actions. I explained that I cannot step foot back into his office (let alone any dental office) after the psychological and physical harm that he has inflicted on me. This experience was traumatizing. The refund was not about the money. I dont want it; I don’t need it. I would not have gotten this elective, unnecessary treatment, done if I could not afford it, especially at the expense of my health.I would not recommend this dentist to anyone.

Our experience with our elder grandma was wonderful. She was treated very nicely and even had a an assistant that spoke Spanish! Great for us.

Buford Smile Dental Care is the best dental practice Ive ever been to! I havent seen a dentist in a very long time and the thought of going to the dentist made me very anxious. I visited a different practice a few weeks prior and the staff were pretty cold and unfriendly making me feel even more uncomfortable so I switched to this one because my mom recommended them to me.Everyone at this office were so friendly and nice! They have great communication and I didnt feel uncomfortable in the slightest during my time here. I already have my next appointment scheduled with them to further my dental health. I went to the Buford Smile Dental Care for a regular checkup. The entire staff was so courteous and professional. Dr. Pyon took care of the examination and cleaning so well. I had no pain throughout the entire procedure! The facility was clean and sanitized (because of COVID-19) through and through. I will definitely come back in six months for the next checkup!

Omg! Guys... I think I just found my new favorite dentist office. After reading the reviews, I did not hesitate to call to make an appointment. Carol and Tracy at the front desk were so sweet and welcoming. I love seeing people with great attitudes & delivers amazing customer service. This office is brand new, smells good, and is extremely clean. I felt so comfortable lol during my appointment with the dentist I was about to fall asleep. They give you these cool glasses to put on during your appt, there’s a tv right in front of you to watch, and they educate you about what they are doing as well. The dentist cleaned my teeth better than any other dentist has. I even brought my boyfriend to get his teeth cleaned the same day as me lol. This will be my main dentist from here on out. Dentists dont have it easily even when I get older... The first dentist I went to in the United States had that kind of atmosphere, and there was an uncomfortable part in the cost of medical treatment. It was very helpful for you to explain it easily, in detail, and honestly. All of the staff were friendly, and even when making a reservation, I was very happy to adjust the time for the patients convenience as much as possible.

A friendly Korean doctor is good at medical treatment. The staff at work are nice and the medical machines are new, so I like them clean. I think it is the best in the Southeast. I recommend it.Love it~~
