They atmosphere was nice & clean. Very nice ladies. The service provided went faster than I expected & my hair came out great. The prices are very reasonable.

Very disappointed! I was in the shop with clean stretched hair but it took a hour for the 1st braid to be completed. The lady was talking to her coworker and having a great conversation instead of focusing on my hair. I got feedins going up to a bun. The lady didnt tell me she didnt know how to wrap the braids into a bun so I had to do it myself. The symmetry is off and my edges all around started to mess up after 3 days. At my normal stylist I get at least 3 weeks before my hair looks this worn. So disappointed but now I know 🤦🏾‍♀️ Also, I cant wear the ponytail down because it looks way too thin even tho the feedins are super chunky...

It’s always a great experience when I go to the Beauty Bar , it’s very clean the ladies are very nice & super professional. My hair is always neat and Rose braids really fast ❤️ Will recommend to any and everybody !

Ive been going here since it was Jaklins Braiding shop. First let me say the new location looks great!!! I usually get my hair braided by Jackie and she always does a great job. Being from NYC I miss my African Braiding salons and Jackie saved me. Yesterday I got box braids. Jackie wasnt avaiable to do them but the lady who did ( I did not get her name) did a good job. She took her time and she did exactly what I asked for. The box braids were a little pricey ($175) for jumbo box braids which I usually pay about $130 for in Harlem but overall I was pleased with the service.

Oh My goodness! I’m so mad that I didn’t find them sooner. I LOOOOOVED my experience there. My appointment was at 1. I came in about 12:55. As I entered I was greeted & introduced to the person that would be braiding my hair. They made sure to understand exactly what I wanted. The braiding hair was already ready. Laid out & pre stretched. As she began to do my hair she was VERY gentle. She didn’t comb through my hair as if I was a doll head. She took her time. I fell asleep off and on the whole entire time. They helped each other throughout the process. Meaning everyone helped me get in and out in an hour!! After braiding my hair I was so shocked bc not one time did she have to use the rat tail to pull out hairs from other braids that weren’t meant to be in the braid. Not one time did she have to take a braid out and do it over. Also she actually used the mousse and scarf to lock in/ lay my hair down. I sat under the dryer as well. Literally I’ve been to Another salon in downtown buffalo which has more of a big name and none of this ever happens! When they’re done braiding my hair they use scissors to cut hairs from the braid. They never braid evenly to the end. & when I call to make an appointment they basically try to FORCE me to get boxed braids EVERY time because I guess they only have one person who can do feed ins smh. They’re clearly more worried about the money rather than their customer experience. However, I’m so glad they couldn’t take me because I will definitely be back to The Beauty Bar! Even the atmosphere was different. Nobody was arguing or talking about people. Nobody HAD to check their hair bc people have that much confidence in them. It was peaceful. I honestly felt pampered. Lol I was knocked out in that chair & my braids are tight, fresh & poppin but honey, it was soothing! I’ve never left a review for any business but I just had to do this for them because they truly deserve it! They show u the difference between quantity & QUALITY!! On top of that, they take debit cards!! The other place doesn’t. Anyway, if you’re thinking about it.. just do it! I’m more than sure you’ll enjoy your experience here!

I was so lucky to have been stood up by another person who was supposed to do my hair....I found Jaklins Braiding & Weaving Sensation where G did an amazing job on my hair. Jaklins was very personable and took me in right away as a walkin. The environment is fun, relaxing and professional. The price is very reasonable which includes 3 packs of hair and can I say very convenient. I have found my go to braiding PALACE🏰....thank you G 😍😍😍 ....

So Ive had my hair braided(box braids) 3 times here and I enjoyed each time. The braids last a long time and if theyre free 2 people will work on my head at once without an extra cost

Im going to give this shop a 1 rating not because of the work but because of the owners unprofessional demeanor of dealing with conflict. I must say the first time I got my hair braided there was by a worker, she did a.nice job, I was out at a reasonable time, no problems. The second visit my hair was done by the owner who has a very putting off attitude. She said she told me on the phone that I had to pay extra (pay per bag for hair the shop used) I was not familiar with braid shops charging you $175 for bobbed braids and then extra for hair, who does that? While she was braiding my hair she called out every bag of hair she used and I asked her if I had to pay for the hair, like I said Im not used to being charged for bags of hair used when your are already starting at $175. At the end Jackie argued with me about how she told me before, I was like okay I have cash but will have to put the hair used amount on my credit card. She was like okay, just next time you have to pay for the hair. I am not one for arguments or for long drawn out disputes but Jackie just would not let the bone loose. I go there today to get a touch up and here she goes again with telling me about the price of the hair not being included I explain to her how now I understand how she works, and once again she will not let it go, like I said Im not one for huge arguments, I just want to get my hair done and go about my busy day. At one point I told her how rude and nasty she was being to me as a client, yes Jackie, your are dealing with a paying customer. She gets so mad that she refuses to do my touch up; she got real emotional/unprofessional.

I dont feel this is a good spot because it took more than 6 hours to do a, as I was told, 3 hour hair design. Not only that when I got home it was patches not even complete. I lifted up my hair, to put in pony tail, and a big patch was covered over. They do not do nice work and they are not nice. Run save your money... I wish I did.additional information:I feel that everyone has the freedom of speech but not without cost. the shop owner called me and lured me back to her shop under false pretenses. she then proceeded to, along with others in her shop, yell at, surrounded and tell me only way I would get the money she promised was if she cut my hair off my head and handed it to me. I felt very nevous and uncomfortable. She also called me prejudice and that is an attack on my character and that, as I fell this media stuff will not go on (at least by me) I will let her be JUDGED BY THE JUDGE.

I was a Walk-In. Great Customer service. Jaklin did my hair. I got Ghana Braids she let me check each braid as she finished and they were perfect. I had to leave out for a meeting and was able to come back and get my hair finished with no problems.

Jaklin is the only person I let braid my hair. Not only is the shop clean but the stylist are all friendly. Jaklin always respond as quickly as possible. Her braids are always nice and neat. And I love that she doesnt keep you waiting for long even though I wouldnt mind sitting in the shop the atmosphere is awesome. If anyone is looking for a new style rather its box braids to Ghana braids, I highly recommend the ladiesthat work there.

They do good work but the customer service is terrible. Its hard to make an appointment because they hardly answer the phone. I finally got threw and made a 6pm appointment for cornrows and when I got there I learned that I was double booked. Didnt get my hair started until 8:30pm. And the lady kept stopping to text and talk to other ppl in the shop. Didnt end up leaving out the shop until about 10:45pm. After that I never thought Id come back there but a family member of mine vouched for them and said I should give another chance. This past Friday I had an 8:30am appointment for box braids. Got there 10 minutes early but no one was there. Waited until 9:15am still no one. And I called the shop up until 11am so I could ask them what happened, but no answers. Ill never go back again.

I got ghana cornrows here. They came out perfect. Jaklin was very professional and paid careful attention to detail, modeling my style exactly after the picture I showed her.

Not impressed with Jaklins work!!! I got simple feed in cornrows and my parts in the back are not even.😠😒I brought it to her attention and suggested parting before hand instead of as you go..🙄Smh.I had my 6 month old with me so I didnt have time or patience to start all over.😑The ends of my hair are ugly cause she didnt want to braid all the way through.🙄I could have received better results from a kitchen stylist. She is also overpriced.😒 To get my 5 year old daughters hair taken down she wanted $45😳. I told her I would not pay more than $30 and she had another stylist do it. I will not be back.

Got my Daughter and my hair braided on good Friday in cornrows which I had a hard time explaining I just wanted the thin to med braid cornrows but she was like 200.00 for them I was like just to be braided back so anyway I just told her to give us regularly cornrows. That I was charged 50.00 for the Plaines crows I ever had reminded you the only English speaking lady (Jackie) after she told the young lady how to braid our hair so when she was done I had a hard time explaining too her that my braids was to far apart and made me look balled and I have a head full of hair she didnt know what I was saying she kept saying 50. She knew that very well so I paid her so it wouldnt exculat and went on about my business so by Easter Sunday the front of my daughter and my hair came up I couldnt believe it two to three braids from the top so I called that Monday to come plain Jackie tells me its been a week what do I expect I was like a its been only 2 days she like shes booked till Thursday come in then I like nevermind I will NEVER BE BACK

Im a Secret shopper. The people who work here are horrible and rude. They wouldnt no a good hairstyle if it walked up and slapped them. Dont waste your money or your time. They have the time to troll on the internet and be mean. What dose that said about this shop. How little is their business that they can say we dont know you are. I called the shop and spoke with the owner Jaklin about getting my hair braided. I was told she had an opening on Friday so I booked my appointment time. I asked about what type of hair I should get and was told that I could purchase my own or from the shop for $6.00. The day of my appointment I brought my own hair because the type of braiding hair used is $5.00 at the Arabian hair stores vs. $6.00 from her and Im already paying $175.00 for my hair due (I was trying to save a buck) well to my surprise when I get there the owner told me the hair I got which was kanekalon was different from the hair they used and that I should purchase it from them. I did so because I still had my receipt to return the other hair, now I assumed she was doing my hair but another surprise was a new employee is doing my hair again Im going to assume she does good work because she wouldnt have hired her. Well the ends of my hair look horrible and uneven and I dont wear it down because the ends look a hot mess and one of my braids came out already and I just got my hair done on 3/3/17 not even a month smh. I wont say everyone in the shop cant do hair but my experience wasnt what I paid for or was expecting and for that matter I would never return or recommend to anyone.

TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED!! With getting my Senegalese Braids Removed. I left this braid shop with my hair still tangled in knots and scalp hurting! The braider took my braids out without detangling my hair. Then proceeded to comb through my dry hair without using ANYTHING to soften my hair to get out the knots. I had to tell her to stop and detangle the knot first BEFORE combing my hair!!! ALSO, I was overcharged for this process! I spoke to the owner over the phone, before I came in. SHE told me it will cost $55.00 with out shampoo. Then when I got ready to payee now the price changed to $65.00. Lastly the owner was braiding a young lady hair between the ages of 10 - 12 and watching The Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion!!! TOTALLY inappropriate for kids!!! ESPECIALLY the sexual content of the show!! She continued to watch the show without any concern that this young girl was sitting in her chair. I wrote this review to let anyone whos thinking about coming to this shop to think again. Their not TRUE professionals!!!!Response to owner: I have no reason to lie about ANYTHING. Am not a liar and I dont need to bad mouth a business. This is my truth and experience whether you want to knowledge it or not.
